A very interesting museum. Along with the aqueduct there is a church in an archway. The museum itself is a very large reservoir of water which you can walk around. Looking down it’s very deep and you can see the tiles on the floor. Upstairs via quite a few steps up a narrow tunnel you get some great views of Lisbon. Free admission on Sunday. They do a few shows but none on when I visited

We visited the reservoirs on a Saturday and we were the only visitors. I found it very interesting even though the price was a bit high for what it is. Nevertheless an interesting tourist attraction in Lisbon. If you have 30/40 mins to spare this one might be a good option.

Went for the Monet and Klimt exhibition (found my tickets on GetYourGuide for 12€) and it was very enjoyable, especially with the projections being reflected in the water. A very cool visit if you’re looking for something calm and entertaining. The park outside the reservoir is also very pleasant.

It really took more than 4 years to make it here. But hey, if I had it done before it wouldn’t have been this amazing adventure it was today. The architecture is amazing with high arches above the ground. And what we couldn’t figure first on the ground has been a water surface as still as a regular mirror — no movement at all, so that the arches from above seemed to be built into the ground as well. The most surprising thing with this visit was that one can enter the roof of the building and her enfolded a complete 360 view in a way I didn’t see before here in Lisbon.

Only 4 euro to get in and completely worth a stop if you're in the area. I'm not sure if i would stray too far out of my path for it, though. We did a thorough walk-through in about 30 mins. The museum closes at 1:30, they do reopen at 2:30 but it is for 360 projection films in the afternoon. I didn't get to see that, but I imagine it would be pretty cool to see the water in the reservoir being used as a projection surface.

It is a cistern built in the 18th century to serve as a reservoir for the Águas Livres Aqueduct, which collected water for Lisbon. Nowadays, it hosts exhibitions and events accompanied by various projections and light shows. It is also possible to take a walk on Aqueduto das Águas Livres by joining the tour. There was no exhibition when we went, we just went to see the cistern. Although it was introduced as a museum, unfortunately it did not have an informative and impressive aspect in this sense. It's just a fun place to see. We especially enjoyed the opportunity to watch the surroundings from its terrace.

Cool place to visit on a hot day. And great views from the roof. Open til 1:30 only, then they switch over to displays projected onto the walls. (Immersive experiences).

It was nice place to visit if you want to know about Lisbon more. But I will recommend to visit that place on first Sunday of every month - free entrance. Because you will spend there 10-20 mins. It is one part of Museum of water, looks nice and pleasant. But it is not so interesting like some truly museum.

Ganz gut. Alles sehr sauber.

I was lucky to have visited during the Salvador Dali Cybernetic Exposition and it was a blast. I believe that says a lot about the museum as a whole. It was a real interactive experice, something I've never seen in other museums, so besides the paintings and art, we used VR, paint it yourself, revolving mirrors and 3D glasses, among others. I really loved it and would super recomend for singles, families with kids, locals and tourists.

Unexpected! Amazing! A secret spot in Lisboa to learn about the water supplying system and to be amazed by this off-the-beaten path feeling you have while your there! Plus, there is an amazing view on the roof!

Interesting place to visit and see water reservoir and aqueducts. There is a nice yard inside with a city view. We visited this place on Sunday, and the entrance was free

Really cool and relatively unknown spot in Lisbon! We only saw 2 other people here during our visit, and the view of the Lisbon outskirts from the top of the building was also great.

Only 3€ to get in, see some important architecture for the city, and a rooftop patio with a breathtaking view of Lisbon! We were the only ones in the whole place, which was strange considering how unique and great the place is. There is some artwork on the wall with rotating exhibitions. Access to (very clean) washrooms is free. A must see if you are in the area!

We managed due to a little time pressure in our schedule only "the normal" tour, no performance but I would not change at all. The ancient atmosphere and absolutely calming sound of silence were just the right thing.

Worth a 10 minute walk through the beautiful building and see the rooftop view. At month’s end, the exhibition of a Lisbon city made of glass debuts. Have opinions; Will share

I went for watching the Michelangelo & Da Vinci experience by Ocubo and it was amazing! There wasn't a lot of people during the experience and around the Reservatório there is a small park where you can chill a little bit before and after the visit to the place. I recommend to visit this events but if you can't you can also go and visit it :)

Impressive building, impressive achievement the whole infrastructure (aquaduto das águas livres) to supply water to past Lisbon. Someone should definitely use it for scuba dive tours and/or lessons ;-)

This beautiful reservoir structure is one of a series of sites operated by the Museum of Water. It is a stunning space with arches and pillars reflected in the deep blue water. You can climb stairs to the top, where you will see panoramic city views, the impressive aqueduct, the triumphal arch and a chapel built into the aqueduct. While you are here there’s a lovely park, kiosk, playground and art gallery. One of my absolute favourite places in Lisbon. Walk one kilometre uphill to another Museum of Water site, the Aguas Livres Aqueduct. You can walk along the top, go inside and walk back. Incredible views of the aqueduct and the city.

We had a fantastic experience. What a fantastic venue. If you don't have a ton of time do the shows only.

Interesting to see the Beautiful blue water on this small but worthwhile visit. Learn about the aqueducts and enjoy some history of lisbon. It was free to enter on a Sunday morning

Amazing place to visit. Specially to see an exhibition. The staff was super friendly. Just a special thanks to the girl in the reception (I don't know the name, sorry) on the 20th June around 2pm as she was such an amazing person with me and my family. Thank you so much. I highly recommend the place. Even just for pictures.

👍👍 Beautiful place. It's such a pleasure to be here in any season in full sun or under the moon. The Belem tower is awesome !
