In
June
I
reviewed
my
tour
to
Sintra
with
the
one
and
only
JoĆ£o
and
mentioned
I
would
book
future
trips
since
I
was
staying
for
the
summer.
Over
the
following
weeks,
every
day
I
booked
with
Keep
It
Local
was
phenomenal.
I
loved
the
ArrƔbida
day
which
I
recommend
highly
for
some
paradise
beaches
and
hiking
and
some
very
surprising
structures
you
simply
couldnāt
find
on
your
own,
plus
a
visit
to
SetĆŗbal
and
itās
fantastic
markets.
The
BelƩm
and
Cascais
tour
was
also
a
lot
of
fun
and
a
chance
to
try
the
famous
pasteis
de
BelƩm
and
the
breathtaking
JerĆ³nimos
Monastery,
plus
the
incredible
coastline
and
architecture
of
Cascais.
JoĆ£o
even
organized
a
day
to
FƔtima,
Mira
de
Aire
and
the
beautiful
surroundings
and
towns
of
this
region.
JoĆ£o
even
made
some
bacalhao
fritters
and
ride
for
our
hike,
which
were
delicious.
With
these
tours
I
learned
just
how
much
more
is
in
Portugal
than
meets
the
eye
and
how
welcoming
and
awesome
its
people
are.
I
will
never
forget
this
time
and
hope
to
return
with
friends
or
my
students.
Review
of
Sintra
Experience:
Every
now
and
again
one
experiences
a
truly
unique
and
wonderful
day
while
traveling
and
my
tour
of
Sintra
with
JoĆ£o
and
#KeepItLocalTours
was
exactly
that.
Far
surpassing
my
expectations,
especially
having
been
to
Sintra
before,
there
simply
is
nothing
like
seeing
this
beautiful
part
of
the
world
with
such
a
kind,
optimistic,
knowledgeable
and
cool
guide
like
JoĆ£o.
I
am
grateful
for
the
immense
amount
of
information
he
taught
me
and
the
engaging,
personalized
manner
in
which
he
ensured
I
learned
it
such
as
the
quiz
as
we
drove
back
to
Lisbon.
There
just
isnāt
another
tour
out
there
that
imparts
so
much
cultural
knowledge
while
keeping
the
entire
day
fun,
interactive,
and
full
of
surprises
like
the
āchallengeā
at
the
last
stop,
which
leads
to
an
incomparable
view
of
what
makes
Sintra
so
special.
JoĆ£o
was
so
patient
with
me
asking
him
so
many
nerdy
questions
about
the
Portuguese
language
and
he
knew
exactly
how
to
help
me
understand
it,
which
for
me
is
huge,
being
a
language
teacher
and
finding
this
one
of
the
best
ways
to
understand
the
local
culture
and
forge
lasting
relationships
as
opposed
to
surface-level
tourism.
We
had
such
great
conversations
over
amazing
foodābest
tuna
steak
and
potatoes
of
my
life
at
a
family
restaurantāand
JoĆ£o
even
stuck
around
for
a
beer
with
me
at
his
friendās
fantastic
craft
beer
taproom,
Oitava
Colina,
complete
with
one
Lisbonās
unbelievable
views.
It
was
both
of
our
first
time
having
a
beer
outdoors
during
this
difficult
pandemic
and
it
was
one
for
the
ages.
Because
of
this
tour
I
now
feel
connected
to
Portugal
more
than
ever
and
will
be
extending
my
time
here
just
so
I
can
see
more
of
the
country
and
do
another
experience
with
these
guys.
I
was
a
bit
hesitant
to
do
a
tour
during
a
pandemic
but
because
tourism
is
slower,
I
ended
up
having
a
private
tour
and
everywhere
we
went
was
easy
to
abide
by
the
2-meter
rule
and
it
made
everything
even
more
enjoyable.
Of
course,
JoĆ£o
runs
a
tight
ship
with
frequent
antibacterial
gel
cleaning
and
mask-wearing.
I
realize
I
am
very
lucky
to
have
been
able
to
relocate
to
Lisbon
for
the
summer
but
if
you
are
here,
too,
and
want
an
unforgettable
experience
while
staying
safe,
I
highly
recommend
this
experience.
