To;dr Best hotel in Lisbon, period. It’s costly but that cost is completely justified. Wish underlining on google worked - you will not regret staying here. It’s incredible. The hotel only has a small number of rooms, and staff to residents is obvious when every need and whim is catered for immediately. Cocktails at the rooftop bar are incredible and give a great 180 view of the city including the monastery. The restaurant’s food and wine pairing are immaculate. With the sommelier providing a mostly Portuguese focus but bringing in a European touch. Breakfasts are by the pool either inside or outside by the pool (covered). They are over the top in terms of quality and quantity. The bellhops are by far the best… they run to help no matter what you are asking for or are doing. They can see you coming and going from the entrance and are always ensuring the doors are open, and that you avoid bad weather. The rooms are immaculate and at the time of writing, they offer Aesop hand soap/shampoo/conditioner/etc. Turn down service came with either wine, small bites, or desserts. We had laundry done while there and it was fast and presented in our cabinets and drawers within hours.

we had booked a suite for 1 night to celebrate the fact that we got engaged the day before. The price was substantial: 1100 per night. Everything was amazing till the moment that we were informed that the pool was not going to be accessible in the afternoon due to a private event. We were not informed beforehand, nor while booking the suite, nor when we checked in. Basically me and my fiancee were asked to leave the pool. Other than apologies nothing else was offered as a compensation. So our stay, instead of being a celebration of our engagement, ended up being a big disappointment.

Service amazing: 5 stars+++. Location and view amazing. Rooms amazing (but do not get one with street view). Breakfast disappointing. It was annoinced as tailor-made. Obviously they have never been to a tailor. Nothing was tailor-made, i.e. individual. It is a very normal menu. And the bacon was the worst I have ever eaten. The pool is small and not heated, i.e. unusable in winter, unless you are a Wim Hoff fan. Room service terrible, to order a cappucino takes 20 minutes and 3 phone calls, then it arrives cold. The roof top is great but often closed. When we had a bath in the morning at 9 a.m. house keeping came in. Why? All in all well meaning but lacking in experience? For this price mixed impressions.

One of the best hotels in Europe. The service, the food and the location is a trinity of perfection. It’s a small and quaint hotel with focus on great service and food. They also have a great restaurant on top called SUBA, with great food and the some of the best views in Lisbon. The breakfast is phenomenal as is the service. They also have won 2 years in the row “Best small luxury hotels of the world”.

Exceptional hotel in its history, architectural beauty and top class service. Go up to the rooftop restaurant for exceptional views of Lisbon. The 2nd floor parlour is a standout In yellow. Miradoura of the city is right outside the door. Loved it.

Very good quality and better service at this restaurant at the Hotel Verride Palacio. We were there having a lunch menu for an affordable price. Also a very good wine from the area. The views are great. We were there without reservation but it was not a problem, in fact we were having lunch by ourselves in all room (this was the only little fact We didn’t like so much)

Flew 10 hrs to enjoy Easter Brunch with family. They cancelled the reservation, did not reach out to say anything. Have had the same OpenTable account for 5+ years. They blame OpenTable. I was shown the reservations at the front desk. 3 people booked for 12:30. 2 were cancelled including mine. That would leave 2 open slots at 12;30. I was told it “just wasn’t possible” This mentality is absurd, especially when I was actually shown… 2 of 3 cancellations at the 12:30 window. They actually showed me… availability. Unless they are implying they regular overbook for Holiday meals. Will never return and never recommend.

Amazing! Can't wait to return! Booked this hotel for a excellent price at ʜᴏᴛᴇʟʙᴜʟʟʏ.ᴄᴏᴍ I like this resort and I'm really thankful I stayed at my favorite place for less than what I generally pay. Visited the rooftop bar, the view was incredible! Best view in Lisbon and all you have to do is just spend 10 euros at the bar. We even got a tour of the hotel on our way up. Totally worth it to sit there for a few hours and take it all in. And amazing drinks at that! Will definitely recommend it to friends visiting Lisbon!

Popped in for a drink to make the most of the spectacular rooftop setting. And boy is it a setting and a half. Drinks pricey but understandable to help keep crowds out. But at those prices expect first class service....but quite poor. Slightly disorganised at reception, I felt like I was the first person ever turning up for a drink. Nonetheless, kind engagement, and we made it. But at the top the greeting could scarsely have been colder. Had to look for waiter for second drink order (who was different from the first one but who was even colder). Do go along though. The building is beautiful and the vista is spectacular from the top but don't expect the lovely service so prevalent elsewhere in Lisbon

One of the most memorable hotels, boutique or otherwise, we have stayed at. Beautifully renovated, well located, with outstanding hospitable touches. The rooms are gorgeous and beds are outstandingly comfortable. You must go up to the roof for a drink! The staff are exceptional.

My husband and I just came back from our first trip to Lisbon, and the highlight was Verride. The service is unmatched - thank you Paolo and Jorge for the incredible help with renting a car and finding a place to get laundry done. Thoughtful touches like unique desserts for turndown service, and even providing fresh Bordeaux wine glasses since housekeeping noticed the leftover wine we had in the room. The Royal King Suite is as dramatic and full of historic beauty as you can imagine, though note you can hear your neighbors walking around above you. Sunbathing and the rooftop bar were an absolute treat, would come back just to stay here.

Only stayed for one night passing through but it will be my new go to hotel in Lisbon. Amazing staff. My room 6.2 was amazing. Top floor. Views and balcony. The breakfast is also the best.

Absolutely amazing and stunning hotel with service to match. They generously upgraded us to a suite for our honeymoon! Gorgeous views of the city and the river. Great location next to an outdoor kiosk as well. Thank you!

This hotel was Incredible, but what was even more impressive was the service. From check in to check out, the staff treats you with an attentiveness which is unlike any other hotel that I've stayed at. I signed up for the "butler service." This service was provided by Daniel. Daniel drove me around and showed me some of the most interesting areas of Sintra and Cascais. I spend an entire day being driven around and escorted by Daniel. He was professional, courteous, and informative. I would recommend using this service, and make sure you ask for Daniel. I will be returning to this hotel soon.

Having journeyed far and wide, staying in countless 5-star hotels around the globe, I can confidently state that Verride Palace stands in a league of its own. The experience was nothing short of magical, combining an array of standout features that created a truly unforgettable stay. Firstly, the staff deserve the utmost commendation. Their service was not just attentive but truly delightful, creating a feeling of warmth and welcome. They exhibited a profound commitment to guest satisfaction, extending their assistance even to the extent of finding and booking the best local restaurants for us. The aesthetic appeal of the hotel was another captivating aspect. It radiated charm and grandeur, from its stunning architecture to its beautifully curated furniture. The rich history and captivating stories embedded within its walls heightened the sense of staying in a living, breathing piece of history. Its location couldn’t be better either, nestled conveniently close to all the city's attractions. Our room was a haven of comfort and beauty. The linen was indescribably soft - so much so, I felt compelled to inquire about the brand for my own home. The thought of sleeping in that heavenly bed again is certainly a compelling reason to return. Complementing the lavish accommodations was the included breakfast, a veritable feast that easily ranks as the best I've ever had. Served in the style of a traditional tea-time, it was a mountain of delicious treats to kickstart the day. In summary, my stay at Verride Palace was an experience I would highly recommend to any discerning traveler. It is a rare gem, combining unparalleled service, historical elegance, exceptional comfort, and world-class amenities. If you get the chance, don't miss the opportunity to experience this wonderful hotel.

I had a lovely quiet stay here. It's very relaxing to just enjoy the views in a comfortable room. The staff are very friendly and helpful. Location is ideal. The restaurant "Suba" is excellent. My only comment is that the restaurant and breakfast staff are a bit disorganized.

Fantastic hotel, at a magnificent location in the old part of Lisboa. Fantastic staff and great food, both breakfast as the restaurant for lunch and diner. They are fond of giving presents and nice surprises. Will certainly return!

This is one of the best luxury hotels in Lisbon. A small sized hotel with a palace chic atmosphere where the staff knows your name and will treat you like family making you feel welcome every step of your stay. True hospitality! At the restaurant it was a superb experience. The staff is incredibly welcoming, the atmosphere is quiet and relaxing and most importantly the food is divine! We had a food tasting menu with wine pairing which was great and we left the restaurant extremely happy! This is a must visit… A night to remeber and to repeat.

We photographed a luxury elopement here in January, + it was phenomenal. The staff was extremely helpful + professional. Not only that, but this hotel is the perfect place for weddings as it’s extremely photogenic. We highly recommend couples to have their special day here or use the hotel for the getting ready, or wedding night! The best!

I had to edit this review following the discovering that my (expensive) earrings were stolen. Initially I wrote that overall, we had mixed feelings about this hotel, however now this has changed to a very negative view. There are some good features and some bad features but overall we would not stay again. Firstly a basement room is €500 euro per night lacking privacy and not provided with an upgrade despite on booking being informed if a higher class of room is available they offer complimentary upgrades. We had to book this room initially due to availability at the time of booking. The bathroom also had mould in it which is rather unpleasant. We had booked a higher class of room for the latter part of our stay, we could see that the room was then available from the beginning on arrival but they would not move us there despite offering to pay more. Following a lot of discussion with the team, being given pork when I informed I was allergic twice to the team, and a few other inconveniences I was offered to move into the room booked at 23.00 the following day. Overall some nice features to the hotel but definitely not worth the money, we would choose to stay in the Four Seasons for the same cost per night. Pros - Superior river room had a great view (price 900 euro per night) - Breakfast is good (but be aware that this is served as a multiple-course “experience”, not a buffet or a la carte, which we would have preferred) - Comfortable bed in the river room with nice bed linen and towels - Sweet treat with turndown service - Great view from the rooftop - Small outdoor pool (but very cold) - Aesop toiletries Cons - stolen pearl and diamond earrings from my partners jacket left in the room - Bica rooms are dark and lack privacy with a mould in the bathroom - No gym or spa, option to go to nearby gym with minimal facilities for 50 euro per day (very expensive for the area) - No regard for food allergies - Poor quality of room service menu - No mini bar services - Phones don’t work majority of the time - Untimely fire alarms at 0900 in the morning - Pedestrian only streets, make sure you ask for code advance of taxi / Uber use to access property - Ordered wine which was not opened and no bottle opener provided - Concierge recommendations were not in line with what we would expect for a properly of this calibre - often 3.5 or below on Google reviews with average reputations - Untimely response prior to arrival and from the concierge / what’s app service on arrival.

This hotel is by far the best hotel I have ever stayed in. If I could give 6 stars I would! Attention to detail, staff, rooms, decor, breakfast is all amazing. Hotel staff, Marina, Pedro and Gabriel were nothing short of amazing! If you want boutique lux in a great location this is the place for you. Will be back!
