Called around 10 clinics to try to book a last minute emergency appointment. Had my consultation an hour later with CPO. Great service.

I went there for eyes surgery. They say the first eligibility checkup is for free. They charged me 95 euros. The price for a LASIK is 3300 euros. To which you have to add another 420 euros for a second eligibility test!

I had a cataract removed (right eye) in the spring and got a new lens. I'm in Lisbon for a while and wanted to see better in my right eye again during my time here. From the first consultation until now after the surgery, I felt super cared for - and then also in English! The team is great and provides step-by-step information. I am very happy that I had this done here. I can only recommend CPO.

Can't contact them...terrible phone answering service

Came here to get lasik or PCR eye surgery. After taking all of the exams, I was a perfect candidate until I questioned why I was being charged for the same pre-exam operation twice. Suddenly, their medical evaluation changed, and I was not a good candidate for surgery. Seems unethical, I would not trust my vision here. Despite the cost paid for the exam and to get on their private insurance network for a discount on the surgery, this dissappointing experience allowed me to avoid getting surgery here, so I count it as a win. I strongly recommend you stay away from here if you value the gift of vision.

I need to improve my vision level, especially for reading and working with the computer; I never feel good with glasses and I was looking for the best solution to my problem. I tried in several places where I live in central Europe and I was not convinced or satisfied by the various possibilities offered. Coming to Portugal on vacation, I searched for possible clinics, found the CPO, analyzed specialties and what the doctors' experience is. It pleased me, I made an appointment over the Internet, I received confirmation even though it was a festive period. I made the consultation, the solution offered seemed to me without a doubt the most adequate - that's why I recommend it. Professional and friendly service, well located in the center of Lisbon, why look elsewhere? Here is a solution for your vision problem.

The after operation is not really good ... the doctor that check me didn't even know what I been doing there ...

Very poor time management. I had to wait three weeks to get an appointment, and then had to wait one hour for the visit before deciding that I had waited enough. From a private clinic and with those prices you'd expect a better service. While delays can always happen, a telephone call to warn me of the foreseen delay would have been appreciated. There won't be a next time.

CPO is an outstanding clinic. We saw Dr. Manuel Marques. He is the first one to diagnose my husband's vision issues which we have tried to identify in the U.S. for years. Dr. Manuel Marques is extremely knowledgeable, professional, kind and compassionate. In addition all other staff we encountered was also knowledgeable and very helpful. The equipment we saw in this clinic is state-of-the-art.

They are very efficient. The office is located on Lisbon’s premier shopping street in a bespoke mall with numerous high-end designer boutiques and, oddly enough, an Aldi. We were called shortly after arriving and given an initial exam. Then shortly thereafter we were called into the doctor’s office (together, as my wife was with me for her eye exam as well). The doctor was very thorough, spoke excellent English and throughout the course of our respective exams, took care to explain what she was doing, what she was seeing and what that meant. For an American, we found the price to be very reasonable (Euro 62 for us both) and we intend to keep this clinic as our ophthalmologist. Muito obrigado.

Fantastic eye clinic. What a wonder first visit I had at this clinic. I brought my eye exam history with me, which the doctor reviewed and discussed with me. His exam was though and detailed. I walked away knowing my eyes would be well cared for at this clinic.

As a tourist in a foreign country, getting sick is a nightmare. I was lucky to find this clinic, they scheduled me the same day, all spoke good english, were very kind and professional. A special thank you to Dr Pedro Neves - the treatment worked, and I was symptom free after a few days.

It’s the second time I need to visit the clinic and it’s always amazing, I’ve some difficulties when I need to take care of my eyes but here particularly I always feel great and confident that everything is gonna be fine. From the entrance until leaving, everything was great.

Everything went well. The ladies from the front desk were very nice and helpful, I did not have my insurance number and they have helped me to call my insurer to find it out. It was my first visit, but I will come back for sure.

Would most definitely recommend. We were seen promptly at our appointment time. The ladies at the front desk were so pleasant. This was the most pleasant eye exam we have ever had. Looking forward to coming back for our yearly eye exams!

I'm sorry to say but the doctor who consulted me made a mistake with the degrees. I had to make a new appointment and buy new glasses. I threw away 200 euros of lenses and spent another 130 euros for new lenses. I do not recommend

Went to this clinic for dry eye symptoms. A technician performed a 5 minute air puff pressure test. There was no test to determine what is causing the dry eye. They should have checked my tear quality to see if I have dry eye due to poor quality lipids, or if caused by little tear production. No test to determine if I have autoimmune disease that may be causing dry eye. And if treating the immune issue, could that then cure the dry eye symptoms? No scan of my Meibomian Glands to see their condition. I think for doctors it's much easier to just prescribe the standard Ciclosporine and artificial tears. But not all people respond to that. Finding the cause first is critical, to then determine how to treat the symptom is much better for the patient. Like this they are not wasting their time trying things that don't work. And they might not have to be on medicine the rest of their lives. Inflammation is the route cause of dry eye. What is causing it is the question.

I had an emergency while traveling in Lisbon: sudden symptoms of retinal tear or detachment. Walked into the clinic and was seen at once by excellent (and English-speaking) staff and doctor. They examined, diagnosed, and treated me (laser surgery) all within two hours, and I imagine the cost was far less than at a comparable American clinic. Could not have felt more lucky.

Excellent service.The practice honour many health insurance plans, where as the nearest hospital to me did not. Maria who was my technician for two tests was amazing. She answered all my questions and spoke perfect English.. The front desk staff were very attentive. As promised the report from the Opthamologist arrived on time via email. The actual office is a bit tricky to find once you are in the mall. I asked a security guard and was promptly pointed in the right direction. I would highly recommend.

Very pleasant experience. Had an eye issue that required urgent treatment. Was treated within 45 min, by a very competent and friendly doctor with decent English. Got correct invoice. I had to ask for written diagnosis that I need for insurance reimbursement and it was provided without problems

I suffered two tears in my right eye that had to be repaired by lazer about 5 days before my trip to Portugal. The dr. highly recommended that I do not go on the trip due to the possibility of additional tears or related issues that could cause a loss of eyesight. Eventually, he said if I do go that it is imperative that I see a specialist once I arrive. CPO was wonderful. The staff spoke fluent English and understood the issue and the importance of this visit with them and by doing so, calmed all my fears. Thank you for helping my trip memorable for all the right the reasons.
