Such a great tour of Lisbon with Marta. Loads of great local knowledge, tips and tricks and importantly a lot of delicious food! We'd definitely book again if we came back to Lisbon.

Our guide needed to polish up on his history, and knowledge of places we were taken and what we were consuming. I felt those on the tour knew more than they did.

Tasty and informative tour! I really enjoyed the Secret Food Tour Lisbon, it was a great mix of history, exploring the city, and learning more about Portuguese food and culture. Our guide Jorge was very knowledgeable, and clearly loves the city and its history. The tour included a mix of drinks, pesticos (tapas), main dishes, and pastries. Recommended!

We had a fantastic tour of Lisbon with Marta. As luck would have it, we were the only ones in the group, so we had a private tour all to ourselves. Marta is clearly very passionate about her city, her country and her culture, and is eager to share it with her guests. We learned so much and truly enjoyed spending a morning with her wandering the back streets that we otherwise may not have ventured into on our own. We took some recommendations from her on restaurants to check out later, and were not disappointed. Overall, I would say we had an outstanding experience and would recommend the tour to others visiting Lisbon.

Best food tour I've ever had! Marta made my experience in Portugal, and my birthday, the best I could have ever asked for. She doesn't only give you delicious foods and drinks, but she explains the history of her city and the value of each food and drink she is offering. She is WOW! We really appreciated you, Marta!

Marta provided an exceptionally informative and entertaining tour. Her enthusiasm for her home city was contagious!!! If we return, I would love to book her for another tour of her other favorite cafes, shops and hangouts! Her English is impeccable, making the tour a pleasure! The places she took us to for food and wine were all charming and delicious! Don’t hesitate to book her tour!

Had an amazing walk with Marta. She had so much information to share - the food, the history of Lisbon, and a few secrets to help us get around the city more quickly. Absolutely loved every stop and was happy she took us to authentic spots owned and run by Portuguese people and outside the normal tourist areas. Highly recommend.

We had a fantastic time with Vanda during our Secret Food Tour in Lisbon. She was funny, charismatic and incredibly knowledgeable. We went on a tour with Marta in January 2024. Can’t say enough good things about her and the tour. Our group of 5 women enjoyed not only the food and history lesson, but also the alcohol upgrade. Our favorite bite was the pork sandwich (please excuse the American dumbification of the names of this plate). None of us were too excited for the anchovy at stop #3, but the vino verde certainly helped ease the awkwardness of leaving uneaten plates…except for that one girl who couldn’t get enough tinned fish. We ended the tour with a scrumdiddlyumptious tarte…aka pasteis de nata, which sounds less exotic coming from my southern mouth. Marta was full of advice and never led us astray. Definitely book this tour for a great variety of food and and excellent (and manageable) walking tour of Lisboa.

Marta was our guide on the secret food tour in Lisbon. To put it short, it was absolutely amazing. We had a wonderful time and she was very knowledgeable about the history and the food and was able to seamlessly blend the information into stories which captured your attention. The tips on how to get around in Portugal was also greatly appreciated. She was very helpful, always cheerful and overall a fun guide!

Marta took us on an amazing walk through Lisbon. She took the time to get to know us and teach us the culture and history of her city. She was knowledgeable and took such good care of us taking us to true local spots owned by families for generations where we enjoyed the food the locals actually eat and shop for their canned sardines and other fish. Marta also shared with us a list of all her favorite restaurants, sites to see, and shops to help us plan the rest of our time in the beautiful city of Lisbon. It was truly one of our favorite parts of our trip and we would recommend secret food tours to anyone. We look forward to experiencing more secret food tours as we travel to different international and domestic USA cities.

We attended the secret food tour with Vanda on 31st October. The tour was amazing and Vanda was a fantastic guide. I love “hole in the wall” local places to eat and drink which where we were taken. The food was plentiful and the flavours amazing. Excellent way to see Lisbon with a small group of people.

My husband and I had an amazing personalized experience with Jorge Bizarro. I find that experiences with tours are highly dependent on the tour leader and I can say Jorge was extremely passionate about the city of Lisbon and the food. He gave us an amazing experience where he explained how the history of the city gave rise to the food. We had the most delicious local food. It didn't feel like tourist trap locations. We highly enjoyed our conversations with Jorge. Highly recommend both him and secret food tours!!!

Our guide, Jorge Bizarro, was excellent. We enjoyed a tour that took us away from the busy tourist locations to an interesting variety of small family-style local eateries off the beaten track. Jorge is humorous, entertaining and bonds very well with his customers. His tour combines an extensive review of the history of Lisbon and Portugal with lots of personalized stories about the local back street areas and the inhabitants. A great introduction to Lisbon. Highly recommended.

Jorge was a fantastic guide, super informative on the history of Lisbon & Portugal and the impact this has had on the food, but also really fun and entertaining. The food itself was delicious - as were the drinks, the updated was definitely worth the money. Strongly recommended.

I made sure that I did my research before I joined this tour. When I found a lot of great reviews not only in Lisbon Food Tour, but about the entire company as well, I booked my tickets. It didn't disappoint. It's a perfect activity to the first time visitors and a food adventurer like me. I'm looking forward to join their food tours in other cities as well.

What a wonderful afternoon spent with our guide! We walked, ate and drank in every detail of Lisbon. Our guide was not only knowledgeable and friendly but so very accommodating. The whole experience was relaxed and pleasant. There are things I never thought we would, drank the most gorgeous ports and met fascinating people. If you're looking for a good way to see Lisbon, a secret food tour is it. Do it!

Marta spared no effort to ensure that our time in Lisbon was well spent. She shared secrets to transport, shopping and of course eating. We stepped into each little doorway greeted by the owners and were seated quickly. Cheese, fish, meat and sweets were delicious and we learned some subtleties that we might have missed. She even asked her mom to help me find a shop for something special

We had a wonderful time on our food tour with Marta! The food was delicious and we learned a lot about the history of the food and the city itself. Marta was very knowledgeable and friendly and we plan to go back to all the places we ate at during the remainder of our stay in Lisbon! I would highly recommend this food tour to anyone, whether they are passing through Lisbon or staying for a while.

We booked this tour after reading the positive feedback about it and were not disappointed. Together with one other couple and Anna our guide we started the tour by enjoying a glass of port. Then set off on a lovely walk through the narrow windy streets of Lisbon. We had been in Lisbon for a few days prior to the tour, but Anna took us to many interesting places that aren’t on tourist guides while explaining the history as we went. We saw and discussed wall art, new public lifts hidden in old buildings and the construction of an outdoor escalator. The food choices were excellent the venues wonderful, from workman stand up eateries to formal sit down restaurants, different wines were enjoyed and the food experience was excelllent. Warning don’t expect to eat an evening meal after this tour!

Our secret food tour with Carmen was amazing. If you want to eat where and what the locals eat in the city center of Lisbon this is the tour to do. They only do small groups 10 or less I think and this is awesome. She takes you all over the old neighborhoods so you get the sights, smells, and tastes of the best part of Lisbon. Carmen left us off with a number of great recommendations that all turned out to be awesome too. Highly recommend. We also did the secret wine tour with Inês and had an absolute blast. That is what convinced us we had to do the secret food tour. She was a top notch guide and you can tell she is passionate about what she does and her city.

Lisbon is remarkable! It doesn’t run out of things to offer! Since it wasn’t our first time to visit Lisboa, we’re more like testing this food tour if they can take us to more delicious spots that we’ve never been before and guess what? They actually did! It actually felt like a first time! Our guide did not disappoint in bringing us to the best sardines and Pastel de nata in the city. I even bought a lot of them to bring home. This food tour should be in your itinerary!

We had an incredible time with Claudia in Lisbon! The food was varied and the portions were generous; we loved exploring Mouraria and learned a great deal about not just traditional Portuguese cuisine, but the culture behind it too. I would throughly recommend Secret Food Tours wherever you travel, and our time in Lisbon was made extra special thanks to Claudia's knowledge and kindness.

We had a fantastic tour with Jorge. You can tell that he really loves Lisbon and he was very knowledgeable about the city and it's history. He was a friendly and humourous guide and it was a pleasure to be in his company. The food and drink we tasted was all delicious and the places we visited we're all authentic Lisbon restaurants. I would definitely recommend this tour. You're in for a treat (several treats actually!)

I recently did the secret food tour with Jorge and it was so much fun! The food and drink were great and Jorge was super knowledgeable about the food and the history of Lisbon. It was such a fun activity. The tour lasted around three hours and we had a good amount of food. It was nice to try most of the must eats while in Portugal in just a few hours. Thanks Jorge!

We had a food tour with Vanda and it was absolutely amazing. Vanda is kind and friendly with a vast knowledge about Portugal's history, its food, culture etc. We really enjoyed this tour and learned so much about Lisbon, Portuguese food etc. We walked with regular stops, always trying something delicious and learning something fascinating. I was 7months pregnant on this tour and the amount of walking was no problem nor was the selection of food and beverages. We also received a number of recommendations on where to eat next in Lisbon from Vanda and they were great recommandations. I have been going on food tours for the last 10 years and this tour is definitely in the top 5. This tour is well worth your money and then some, much thanks to our absolutely wonderful guide Vanda.

Vanda was an amazing tour guide and really gave us a fantastic impression of what Lisbon is like. She filled the whole tour with laughter, wine, history, fun facts, culture and food. Before we knew it the tour was over and we felt we were saying goodbye to a dear friend. I can't recommend this tour, and Vanda, enough!

We were so excited to join the food tour after we heard great things about it from friends. However, due to COVID, our travel has been cancelled and despite our attempts to reach the company, no one will respond to our messages or refunding our balance!

I love to take tours around the world but this one was AB-SO-LU-TE-LY Fantastic! Is the perfect mix of knowledge, entertainment & food. Marta was a great tour guide, host of her city & made all of us in the tour feel welcome. Perfect English, perfect description of the food items, and what a great story teller. I now know how to order Porto and when to drink it. She answered all my questions & took her time to even send me a list of her favorite places to go,things to do and what to eat for future travels. Obrigada Marta !!You are the superstar of these tours.
