The Vasco Bridge is the longest bridge in Europe and I crossed it, the beautiful view to the bay and the whole city amazed me. We all think we realize that it was built in honor of the explorer Vasco da Gama. The road was very good, if you cross the bridge to the north you have to pay a fee of 2.15 euros, I say it is worth it for the whole landscape offered and in the opposite direction the access is free. I recommend to cross the channel and for the view!

It is a bridge. I am not sure how to give a review beyond that.. It has a Guiness record for the longest table setting. You can only drive across and there is a park on the Lisbon side underneath the bridge.

Must see a place for photographers. It has a beautiful view at sunset. There are piers and well organized trails for taking pictures. It's 7.671 miles long.

The Vasco da Gama Bridge is Europe's longest bridge, length is 17.2 km. This Vasco Da Gama bridge was named after Vasco da Gama, (Portuguese explorer) who found the sea route to India in 1498. This bridge is a cable stayed bridge located in Lisbon, Portugal and crosses the Tagus River.

This place is beautiful and the atmosphere there is great. There is a park where you can chill, but you can also walk along the river and when you want you can skate in the park near by. It's a place for everyone and I love it to go there with friends and also for me alone to sit under a tree and read books.

We travelled this AMAZING bridge on a very windy, stormy day (I was scared, I’ll admit!), but it was breathtaking - we scaled the clouds and we loved it!

Looks very good and new, no sing of the time and look like sure. It is not possible to see the end of the bridge because 17km are too long. For sure there is a bus that will cross it

Vasco da Gama Bridge is a very famous bridge which connects two different cities. It is the second longest bridge in Europe with six road lanes. It is undeniable that Ponte Vasco da Gama is certainly not as charismatic as Lisbon’s other bridge, the golden arched Ponte 25 de Abril, but its sheer size and length that stretches out into the horizon is an engineering marvel. In overall, I strongly recommend people to visit this place. 🙏

Pretty impressive, the Vasco da Gama Bridge is a cable-stayed bridge flanked by viaducts that spans the Tagus River in Portugal. It’s the 2nd longest bridge in Europe. We saw it from the Park of Nations as well as from the cable car.

The park offers nice views on the bridge and a paved path along the banks of the Tagus brings you to the 1998 World Exposition park.

So beautiful! When you drive from Lisbon during the day, you'll see flamingos on the right side. And on the way to Lisbon in the evening - a beautiful sunset!

It's an impressive bridge. Lost a star because once you reach it you feel like you're almost home, but then it just keeps going and going and going..

The Vasco da gama bridge is a long bridge and a sight to behold. I was amazed to see how far this bridge streches above Tagus river. Also note: Toll has to be payed when travelling TOWARDS Lisbon. Outgoing traffic does not have to pay toll.

Would’ve given 5, but drove over at night so couldn’t really see anything - but good reviews. Also apparently has sodium lighting - please swap to LEDs for the environment!

Longest bridge in Europe. Very impressive (mostly from airplane).

  • 4/5 Dejan B. 1 year ago on Google
Named after the famous Portuguese explorer, this is the longest bridge in Europe spanning over the Tagus river. It connects the new northeastern part of Lisbon - Parque des Nacoes (Nations Park) with a small town of Montijo across the bay. If you have time, I suggest an interesting trip over this bridge, making a full circle through towns of Montijo and Almada and returning to Lisbon over the 25 April bridge (see that review). It will require around 2 hours with included stops on interesting places along the way.

I drove over the bridge by accident, and was surprised when told the toll was less than €3. Beautiful views, though was a bit hazy.

Helped build this bridge for nearly 4 years. At the time, 1997, it was the longest bridge in Europe. 18 kilometer span.

  • 5/5 Tom R. 2 years ago on Google
It's well maintained Has a pretty nice view of the landscape the lanes are spacious enough to allow good traffic flow assuming all people respect driving norms that is Even in poor weather conditions the bridge is pretty safe to cross and inspires enough confidence.
