I am afraid I would not recommend going to this branch of post office because of extremely poor customer service and long queues. The only person who works hard in this branch is Bennett, who joined this branch in December, 2022 or January, 2023. She is always friendly and professional but I noticed that most of the days she serves customers on her own. I prefer using self-service machines but quite often they are out of order at Lewisham branch which means that I have to join quite a long queue at the branch or even go to another post office. There is a man who works in travel money department of the post office but he refused to help customers with sending letters or packages saying that he does not deal with that! The lady who sits next to Bennett is rude and moody as she ignores long queues pretending to be busy with something else such as counting banknotes. Please hire staff members who genuinely would like to help customers as at present it is extremely inefficient, stressful and time-consuming experience. Kind regards, Nazym Amanova

The worst post office ever! Today’s visit was cherry on top. Only one person behind the counter, another one assisting with self checkout. Waited in queue for almost 20mins while one customer was dealt with, another 2 customers a front of me. Woman behind the counter announces she is going on her break, she is too tired. There were 4 of us waiting to be served, the way she ‘announced’ it was so unprofessional! No apology, didn’t even ask what we’re we waiting to be served for… Like we as customers came there to bother her, there are other people who would happily take her position! And actually provide proper customer service! She shouldn’t be dealing with customers! Imagine you make your journey to the post office and person working there is just not bothered to serve you! Jokes!

Very rude and unpleasant staff!! Especially one Indian/Asian woman with long black hair and ponytail. Very disgusting attitude for no reason, sort this out please!! You might hate your dead-end job but don’t take it out on customers who are just there to send a parcel. Where else are we meant to go?? Get rid of her or give her proper training to learn how to speak to other people

Utterly appalling service. Went in to post a parcel to be told it was closed again as no staff again. This place never has any staff. I don't understand the incompetence of the manager. This has been going on for well over a year. Whilst waiting I heard the WHSmith manager scold the security guard for not standing in the correct spot stating "I pay you to stand at the door"...such a condescending and truly awful woman. Post Office really need to sort this out, and so do WHSmith

5 stars go to the employee who is usually helping people with the self service machines and the queues. The guy is always very kind, respectful and helpful. A huge addition to the post office! Thank you

Worst post office ever. They make you pay extra for everything. When you send a letter you need to come with your own tape or buy tape from them. They won’t let you leave the post office if you don’t buy tape as they already take your payment for the letter and tell you after. It took me more than 15 minutes to simply post a small letter. And nobody explains you anything. It’s on you to guess what’s happening. I’m really annoyed with the service I received! Avoid this post office.

I'm giving 5 stars because the staff are doing their level best, constantly. People don't seem to understand that the person at the till isn't the owner of Royal Mail and so complaining about staff to them is pointless. This place needs to pay their people more at least if they're not going to hire anyone. What would Queenie think? Smh

Standing inline right now. Distressed at this service For months and months the service has been appalling and on the busiest day (Saturday) people are able to go to the post there is only ONE member or always an inefficient amount of staff. There is a service called indeedflex which is a recruitment service you can hire temporary staff for cheap or use Angard to help u out I officially hate it here I'm slowly dying here

Appalling and disgraceful to have Royal in the title. No stars deserved as there is no point of this Post Office. Staff does not deserve a job as they clearly do not want to work. 3 times I have been to this PO, as work like many people in the area, I arrive at 5.15pm twice to be told the cashier tills close at 5.15...3rd time arrived at 5.05pm to be told they cash up at 5pm. Manager standing there happily agreeing that they can close the till service 5pm...even though all other PO's close tills at 5.30pm. 2 of his staff members arguing that there is no money, which I didn't need money, and 1 of them finding the whole situation very funny that they are providing a dis-service to their customers. It is well deserved that this PO will be closed down when the whole of the Shopping Centre also deservedly being closed down. We'll see how funny that is when Lewisham Post Office staff no longer has a job!! There is no need for this main PO as there are many other subsidiary PO's in less than 1mile and tills and cashiers are open until 5.30pm. As the owner of the subsidiary on Lewisham High Street said, the main Post Office workers are employees of Royal Mail so they really don't care as they get their monthly wages. Royal Mail really needs to get rid of this Lewisham Post Office and give the credit to the subsidiary's.

Worst customer service, close early frequently, the last time they closed at 2pm and laughed at me when I was confused as it’s advertised for 5.15. Very rude. Go to the other post office, much nicer and more efficient! You’ll waste two hours of your life here and be treated horribly every time.

I arrived 5 mins before closing time of the post office but I was informed that I won't be served because the two ladies behind the counter were closing the tills. I would suggest doing that after you close or change your opening times for customers on the website. Waste of time...

I bought a shoe rack from Ikea, it should be delivered to this post office, but the staff from here just returned my packages back to ikea directly even without mentioning me.

Worst place ever. Most impolite staff ever. There is only 1 black lady there with grey hair that does her job. She even do too much as they other one are just there to chill. They checking their phone, while there is a long A*s queue, they don't know what they doing. Queue can go up to 1 hour there... imagine. Worst place ever

Really bad customer care, we were here to collect our BRP cards near 3 to 4 times, some of elderly staffs are very rude and lazy to check our brp cards. Always giving another day to come but never helps us, nearly one month in Uk, they don’t want to check our brp cards arrived or not . Even home office says those brp has arrived at the post office few weeks ago.

Top tip - jump on a 5 minute bus to Blackheath Village, go to the post office there (where there are always 2-3 people serving), get the bus back. This will still take less time than waiting in the never ending queue at the Lewisham branch.

Currently standing in a queue for 30 mins *edit (we are now at 1hour) just to drop of a parcel where I already have the QR code. This is unacceptable, no matter what day, time or year you visit this post office be prepared to wait for 30mins minimum. Something needs to change .

I had items to post, one required an envelope which I thought I would pay for at the till when posting my items. A HUGE sign above the tills saying you can do so. Only to get to the till to tell me I have to come out of the queue to go pay for the envelope as they cannot put it through their system. To then requeue with a now agitated baby and no help whatsoever. The cashier was very rude, was clear she doesn’t want to work there and it’s a shame to say but is the experience most visits. Hence why it now requires a review.

Royal Mail you should be ashamed this Branch is a complete Disgrace and is severely under supported logistically. It has been understaffed in general for Months and to further compound the frustration at the long queues and wait time they're Self Service Tills have not worked 3-4 weeks now. Because allegedly there is a fault with the BT Line. Sort it out this is affecting people's ability to earn an income and adding stress to an already extremely stressful tine

Terrible service! Long queues and only 2 member's of staff working on counters and self-service! You need to get more staff or allow the smaller post offices to have more services. Customer services is terrible, staff need re training!!! Will not be using Lewisham (WH Smiths) again!!!!!!!!

Management need to really look at this branch and do something about staffing levels. The level of service is appalling. The counter staff do their best. But understaffed counters mean frustrated customers. That's right we are the customer. Unless this is the plan. Do Royal Mail want to close it down and are doing it by the back door?

Lucky to be served by Miss Lorna, she was really quick and efficient and was also able to solve an issue with the card payment.

If it were up to me, I would give then -10 in customer service. The customer service is very bad. I really don't know why they are still in their positions, you can see that they are bored and tired.

Lots of stars for the staff, always helpful, there’s just not enough of them. Prepare to wait at least 30-45 mins each visit

This is the worst post office in the world. The people working here are inhumane and have no basic knowledge. Due to this, the customers are very inconvenienced. I think even donkeys have more knowledge than this.

Dipsy Ofasi the new Manager (and I use the term manager loosely ad the only thing she seems to manage is to shut early) is Rude, Abrasive and seems to fail to grasp that she works for a company that is firmly routed in the need for good customer service of which she displays none. She doesn't do Smith's, the Post Office, footfall or her colleagues any favours with her Rude Dismissive attitude with her priority clearly being to be out the door by 5.30pm than to help any of the customers who have often been waiting since before 5pm while she marches round telling misleading and unfactual information like the post office systems turn off automatically at 5pm and self service shuts itself off and they've no control over this convenient disregard for her customers or the impact her clock watching mentality has to their lives and their Incomes. People like her let down their colleagues and the companies they work for because they cant seem to grasp the concept and skillset required by industry they work in. Much Better suited as a Traffic Warden where people have come to expect a lack of empathy and where clock watching and time telling is a necessity.

Terrible BRP collection service if you are considering using this branch I would suggest using another. Visited the day after my partner landed (Thurs) and was told that the BRP won’t have arrived yet as you just passed immigration yesterday, we get them every Tuesday come back next week. I asked if that applied even if we had a letter from a few months ago and was told yes it didn’t matter. Came back the following Wednesday and was told sorry your BRP isn’t here it was probably sent back as we only hold it for 60 days before we sent it back. How does this policy make any sense when you are issued a 90 day visa to come to the UK. We now need to contact the Home Office to try and find out where it is and then go through this again. The post office and immigration should have aligned policies and staff should be trained to know this. It doesn’t help staff are condescending although the second visit the customer service was more helpful and clear. If we can we will be asking to send the missing BRP to another branch.

Saturday morning and the queue is 30+ deep with 1 person serving! Totally ridiculous, the three automatic machines never work. It’s like an advert for DPD or other courier companies. No wonder the post office is going down the pan

I use the online service to do my psssport and the manger at this branch kept my passport and other customer passport for 5 days when it should send off to passport office the next day special delivery ...so i went to complaint he said he have to collect 10 passport before he can send them off via special delivery so he charges £16 for each customer but send it off all together in 5 days so basically he isbscamming each customer 16 pound and your passort and supporting documents stays in his safe for 5 days..becareful he is a scammer.

When I arrived there were 12 people in front of me and 2 clerks working. One went off to lunch leaving 1 clerk. Each time the self-service stations were used they went wrong and the 1 clerk had to leave his till and sort it. Very understaffed and clearly need decent manager. I was not happy with thus branch so in future I will be using the Catford branch where the staff are friendly, helpful and happy.

Terrible branch,short-staff always. black small figure tall woman not even looking in the eye doing the service. I have always been polite to everyone saying good morning etc but I guess manners can’t really be common for everyone and the staff at this branch could never bat an eyelash to treat all customers right. Just a simple greeting could have made the difference.

My feedback is very good because you have a wonderful employee who helps with the self-service checkouts. He is nice and professional, there aren't many such people, unfortunately! The rest of the people in this place are not very smiling.

If I can give this place 0 stars I will. Unprofessional customer service. I was served by a lady on tills on Saturday. She was absolutely rude! She prioritised opening her own package then serving customers. When she handled my package she was shaking it about , breaking the contents of my package and had the audacity to act innocent. This place is absolutely awful . Theres one black man who is the only man that works hard and is competent in his job. The rest are incompetent. Avoid this place . Long queues, unprofessional customer service.
