Lively place, full of entertainment with so many fun activities nearby happening. Amazing place to roam around in the evening time specially. Always remains crowded, mainly due to the pacific park in the pier which is super cool with tons of rides and games to enjoy. Ample parking places available nearby, so parking is not a problem here. Probably one of the most happening night beach in California. Highly recommended to visit while in LA.

Had a great time here! Be ready for the crowds of people that come here and bring your jacket because it can get pretty cold. There are many great spots to take pictures and spend time with family and friends here. We enjoyed the views entering the pier area and leading down to the actual pier. There are a variety of food options and many vendors providing custom gifts. We had some amazing funnel cakes and bought souvenir pictures for our group. This is a great spot for a day or night experience.

This is a neat place to visit. There weren't many people when we came because it was right after the tsunami warning expired. It was nice to casually tour without too much foot traffic. Parking costs, so be prepared for that. We paid $10 and parked across the street in a garage. It's a nice place to see if you're a tourist.

Good vibes, lots of people, vendors, food, and rides. Walking down the pier is such a fun experience and it is beautiful on a sunny day. You can find gift shops and vendors hawking their wares. Worth it for the touristy experience. Really great views at night to take photos of! Be careful of the guys who are handing out CDs, don’t bother stopping and checking them out, otherwise they’ll ask you to pay for a CD that you don’t even have the means to play.

Santa Monica Pier is beautiful beach just 20 minutes drive away from Los Angeles, California. It is the best place to visit with family and love ones. It has its own amusement park equipped with world’s only solar powered ferries wheel and roller coaster.🎢 Love the Pacific Ocean views here. ❤️❤️

Great place to visit. I visited on a Saturday afternoon in February. It's was a bit cold and started to rain. However, we made the most of it. Kids had a great time riding the rides. We enjoyed the shops, eating, and people watching. There was actually someone swimming in the ocean. Would recommend coming during the summer to enjoy the beach!

Amazing place to hangout , one of the prime locations for tourists to come as well. Just the vibes are amazing, spectacular views and vendors all along selling hot dogs and snacks , the best thing for me was the funnel cake. There are some rides to enjoy too. It usually gets crowded . Parking is just close by , beach side parking is most convenient for $10. There are short term cheaper parking options available too. A close walk to santa Monica downtown is also a must if you come here.

We went on a Sunday. Beautiful weather and plenty to do. It was just a day trip, so we only spent a couple hours there. I can't wait to go back so we can take our time and experience more. Great place to spend the day. Very kid friendly, we took our 10 year old. The beach is clean and wasn't too crowded. It was really nice and worth seeing, even with limited time.

I have a secret love affair. Here, I am allowed to be who I want to be. I can play video games inside the arcade, win the cutest stuffed animals at the carnival games, have the best view of the ocean while on the Ferris wheel, let out a squeal or two while riding the roller coaster and take a walk on the beach and watch as our footprints in the sand get washed away by the waves. Welcome to the Santa Monica Pier. The pier dates back to 1908 and is the city's most irresistible landmark. The pier is almost a quarter mile long, with bars, restaurants, vendors, street performers and also fishing at the pier to keep you entertain from dusk till dawn. Be adventurous and take the paved bike and walking path, south for about a mile and a half, it will take you straight to Venice Beach. Spend the day, the night or the weekend. There are hotels, restaurants and shops located across the boardwalk to make you fall in love, over and over again. Remember, Happiness comes in Waves. Due to the current pandemic, please be safe always wherever you may go.

Wow.. what a wonderful place. Great view, parking seems ample, but maybe bc the weather was a bit damp and people were prob not out as much. Sad to see that some places close so early, but everything else seemed so awesome to experience. Arcade, rides, restaurants, bars, coffee shops.. lots of little things to entertain oneself with. Right down the street from other locations and shoppes.

I was impressed by the number of people wearing masks. I don't know if it was the $100 fine posted by the Santa Monica police on light boards on the streets and boardwalk that made the difference or simply people were been responsible. I was a bit upset to see the streets, the pier, and boardwalk as well as restaurants packed as if the virus had never existed or it was over. This feeling eased as I began seeing how people were been responsible. So few were those who didn't wear a mask, in the crowd hat were hardly noticed. Nevertheless, the risk of contracting the virus is real. Specially in restaurants were the 6 feet safety distance were not kept. Naturally, one doesn't wear a mask while eating. From the pier, I could see that groups of swimmers were without a mask - normal one doesn't swim wearing a mask. Overall, if you visit Santa Monica be prepared to meet a crowd as in a normal holiday.

Had a great time! Visiting Long Beach and was told my our hotel to come visit here and we are super glad we did! Plenty of fun things to do, and we came on a Monday! I could only imagine how busy it would be on the weekends or during fun event times! I enjoyed not waiting in the lines forever. Parking wasn’t too bad, thanks for the fun experience!

Beach is so beautiful. Nice sandy beach and nice pier. There is a parking fee of $15 . Be ready to face crowds during summer holiday seasons. Lot of rides for kids to have extra fun. Some grip of street entertainers are also entertaining people with some dance and stunt show.. even drone shows after sunset. In sort complete entertaining place for family ..

The pier was a lot of fun! Pretty crowded, but most folks were thankfully wearing masks while they walked around. We took a lot of photos (I spared you many of them, don't worry) and rode on a couple of rides. I definitely recommend the ferris wheel as the view is unmatched, especially as the sun is setting. There's also a roller coaster that was pretty fun. It was kinda rickety but let's be honest, that just makes it more exciting!

It's a neat experience. Worth visiting. Tons of people. They could add more bathrooms that's for sure and clean up the only ones I saw which were located closer to the actual beach. Yuk!! There are a lot of people preaching their versions of the bible along the walk way. Again it's worth checking out. But you better be vaccinated 🙄 or be prepared to not go into many food establishments or gifts shops.

Cool place to visit, if you are planning on visiting LA it is a MUST. There are a few rides for the kids and a couple nice places to grab a snack. The sunset views are really cool. Parking fee right below the pier is 7$ for all day. It will be on the beach under the sun, but i found it worth the price.

There’s so much talent on Santa Monica pier! You’ll be amazed and entertained as you walk from talent talent! The beach is the most beautiful backdrop too! We really need to start making the right people famous because there are so many talented individuals here! There are food, jewelry and accessory vendors that are pretty fairly priced. There are also a lot of homeless people who have clear mental health issue who will come at you, so just be careful!

A very romantic place to be when the sun goes down. There are park rangers located at the staircase to the pier. They help keep the undesirables away and help keep you safe. There are rides and other attractions, but for my taste, they are not worth the price of admission. Your best bet is to walk with your girl, wife, whatever, and enjoy the sun as it slowly sinks into the ocean and disappears into the twilight of the horizon. Memories well worth the trip. You can also walk the beach and have the waves wash over your feet. Also, sand dollar hunting is always fun. The sand dollars are shaped differently from the ones you may find in San Diego or San Francisco. And if you go to other beaches around the country or the world for that matter you will see that they are all different.

Santa Monica Pier offers a delightful blend of culinary delights, stunning ocean views, and vibrant entertainment. Indulge in delicious seafood while gazing out at the Pacific Ocean, or grab a snack from one of the many vendors lining the boardwalk. The lively atmosphere, filled with street performers and colorful attractions, creates a memorable experience for visitors of all ages. Whether you're admiring the sunset over the water or exploring the bustling shops and arcade games, Santa Monica Pier is a charming destination that captures the essence of Southern California's coastal charm.

The Santa Monica Pier is a vibrant coastal gem, teeming with life and energy. As you stroll along its iconic planks, the eclectic mix of interesting people captivates your attention. From the mesmerizing sounds of sitar players to the hordes of diverse individuals gazing over the vast expanse of the ocean, the pier is a sensory delight. The lively atmosphere, combined with the breathtaking views, makes it a must-visit destination for anyone seeking a unique blend of culture and seaside charm. Try not to get clapped by a pickpocket in the process though.

A variety of activities to enjoy from swimming, boating, amusement rides, dining and a few other activities. I was able to catch the early morning fun. At the entrance, some vendors offer tours throughout the area to popular landmarks, duty-free shopping and lunch. There's parking and several restrooms for your convenience. Some homeless individuals in the area…not a bother, but a concern. Also, wheelchair accessible.

Parking was $10 I think, but right near the pier and beach. Huge beach, tons of rides and carnival games. Most rides and games are 5-10 bucks each so not bad pricing. We didn't eat but lots of little food carts to choose from. The kids had a blast. We also walked around the pier and beach which is a beautiful area and great for pictures. Gets busy around late afternoon but earlier in the day it wasn't so bad.

Santa Monica Pier is fantastic place to visit both for tourists and locals. I'm sure locals don't come here on a busy weekend evening but our friends who live in Malibu come here quite a bit when its not crowded. It really is a fun and historic place... from being the last stop on Iconic Route 66 to the food shops available, street food, street performers and fantastic sunsets, this pier is huge with tons of life and activities.. You can easily spend 4 hours here so plan accordingly. The parking can be tricky as the weekends are very very busy but there are many underground nearby parking lots and if you don't mind taking a walk there is lots of parking deeper into Santa Monica away from the beach. The pier is just lots of fun and easily top destination when visiting Southern California. Also, the cost of trinkets and souvenirs is not that high since there is a lot of competition. Overall people are very friendly and patient.. everyone is here to enjoy themselves and eventually wait for the beautiful sunset.. so plan to get your spot on the pier to record an amazing California sunset.

One of my favorite piers in the world. Big waves crashing, and the atmosphere is fresh. I love the smell of the ocean and so many people walking around. The joy of being on that beach is amazing. I shed a tear cause the good Lord God Almighty knows how much I love the ocean. And to be there with my friend who also enjoyed the atmosphere was amazing

This is the best place to see in Los Angeles a lot of fun things to do! Pure beauty nice people nice vibe! Nothing can go wrong, I highly recommend. The fun fair was expensive so we didn't do any ride, with the same price I got a bunch of things from around the corner shops.

I brought my family here from Chicago and can't wait to return. Bike riding is inexpensive...there's shopping...volleyball...and of course the beach. My youngest son is autistic and started singing the melody of the movie "US"...and scripting phrases...this made us realize the amusement park scene in the movie "US" was made here!!! My son's favorite movie....we had no clue! This spot is EXTRA special to our family now.

I enjoy going at least once a year during hot summer months. It is an iconic place that you should visit when in the area. Try to visit at sunset to see the amazing views. Even though there are restrictions with COVID, everybody seems to be following the guidelines and mandates, while still enjoying a day at the beach.

Really awesome beach. I'm definitely not used to visiting a beach that is so crowded but it was great. All the kids having fun in the waves. Lifeguards are very aware of all the folk in the water and control the crowds well. My son and i had a great time here. A must go of you're in southern California.

Santa Monica Pier is definitely a destination to visit. I have been twice and the second time was better, we decided to get a beach cruiser bike and ride from Venice Beach all the way along to Santa Monica Pier. This was a perfect day and such a beautiful ride, the path is wide and plenty of room for everyone, and just a great way to see more than expected. Once arriving at the pier the atmosphere was busy and lots going on, lots to see. We decided to try a pound cake and sit on a bench seat to soak it all in. Our friends decided to go on the rides and had a great time. There was some entertaining street people doing their best to make a living, a little pushy but cool to watch. There are a few quiet places to sit and enjoy a beer and watch all the interesting people walk by. It was a warm day for winter a lot like home in Queensland Australia, but for me personally coming from Australia and living on the Gold Coast, I have seen so many nicer, cleaner beaches and this is not a destination that I would personally set high on my bucket list but still worth a visit.

Love coming here for a run. Great place to for a jog and really feel like you’re living the Cali life. They have plenty of shops and the beach is nice too. If you keep going you will see some chin-up bars and a place where you can do some callisthenics. Fun place to be on a nice sunny day.

Great food and vibes! However due to covid-19 rides and a lot of the food stores are still down and you have to wear a mask so that really makes you miss out on a lot of the true experience here and only reason I had to take off a star. People are nice there is a every now and then some that are out of place here it seems. The pier offers restrooms and a place to wash off the sand off your feet and just good service with great parking during these times.

Beautiful weather today! Very few people on the pier and the beach. Bathrooms were clean. The main entrance to the pier is closed. Be prepared to walk a bit to go to another entrance. Masks are required if you are within 6ft of others, so don't forget your masks just in case. Some shops, vendors, food places are open.

A must visit i would say. The pacific ocean winds are not salty like the winds in the gulf of Mexico. So it is a much more refreshing feeling. You can spend hours here and contemplate the majesty of the pacific ocean. This place is a must if you have kids, if youre on a date, or want to take a walk by yourself.

The Santa Monica Pier is a large double-jointed pier at the foot of Colorado Avenue in Santa Monica, California, United States. It contains a small amusement park, concession stands, and areas for views and fishing. The pier contains Pacific Park, a family amusement park with its solar panelled Ferris wheel. The brightly lit wheel can be seen from a distance and has been turned off during the Earth Hour observance. It also has an original carousel hippodrome from the 1920s, the Santa Monica Pier Aquarium operated by Heal the Bay, shops, entertainers, a video arcade, a trapeze school, pubs, and restaurants. The pier's west end is a popular location for anglers.

Decided to visit from downtown LA. Took the E train and was surprised how quickly the trip was. Only a short walk to the pier. January is a wonderful time to visit as there is no big crowds to navigate. All the amusement rides are available and the entertainment from locals on the pier is worth the visit. There are lits of benches along the length of the pier and certainly a variety of restaurants to enjoy a meal of drink. You can easily spend a couple of hours sitting and watching surfers and the waves. Magical views.

The most famous and happening pier near LA I guess. Also this place has another significance to be the end [or the beginning?!] of the 'historic' Route 66. I had some of the best street food over here during daytime, but heard that the hanging restaurants and bars also worth visiting. The fun spikes up in the evening, when everything flashes out in chrome light and singers and musicians perform their own pieces and covers on the boardwalk. The nearby beach is another nice place to chill out.

Well, I can't really give it 5 stars as I was not able to experience everything since it's all closed down due to covid still. But is a nice place to visit and I'm sure that I will return one day. Plenty of places to eat at, looked as though there was some good fishing off the pier, and there was an array of gift/souvenir stores for all ages.

Generally a good place to take a walk or grab a small bite near the ocean. Nice prices, nice parking, nice atmosphere, fun stuff to do, but nothing fancy. Only complaint is half the people don't wear a mask and you will meet some smokers and the smell.

First time ? You'll want to read this! seriously, you really will... If you drive past all the signs telling you to exit for beach parking you'll be passing thru the tunnel popping out on PCH and you'll soon be in line making the famous U-turn on PCH HWY 1 but you better not! The police love sitting there and giving citations, ticketing people for making un illgal u turn so make the left into the parking lot and use the turnaround.. So pull in to the lot turn around area and exit it's legal and better then the ticket.. Here's another one, the parking lots on PCH and near all the Sandy areas away from the pier close at SUNSET! Really! Sunset. The best lots for parking if you're staying late are any of the parking structures up top between 2nd and Lincoln Blvd. I prefer paying a little extra and parking on the pier if your lucky enough to grab a spot... It's Santa Monica ,you're here for a reason either.... vacation, holiday or a beach day.... The Pier is Historic, the end of Route66(find the sign) the carousel is almost missed but it's a must.. Okay if you have children Pacific Park is a must even if you only ride one ride but trust me you'll ride them all before it's all said and done(consider a wrist band if your riding the larger rides more then 3 times) especially if you have little ones. Play a few games grab a funnel cake and a drink then walk to the end of the pier to watch the people fishing or just sit and look out over the Pacific Ocean plenty of places to sit. You'll never regret the money spent.. Now. Rent a bike and yes rent a lock then take a ride on the bike path and go slow, You'll understand.. Its California in all its misunderstood diversity..... This is why you're here.. Malibu is to the north but it's not possible to bike there with out risking your life on P.C.H. Hwy 1 because the bike path ends at Will Rogers Beach. But riding North is still my favorite bike ride, plus you get to see the Bay Wathch station and a boat still boosting the Baywatch logo. Look for it on the north side of the Lifeguard Station the South side has a anchor and some train track rails, you'll have to read why, Great history. Also you can park your bike and sit at the waters edge with out walking the long stretches of hot sand at Santa Monica or Venice beaches.. Oh, Venice Beach is South of the pier.. But are you ready for it? Are you?

The boardwalk was closed while we were there. And the beach had areas with garbage in the sand. But, the beach was huge and not very crowded, close walk from our hotel and the playground equipment was open, so my kids loved that.

Still a fun place to visit even with the Covid lock down! Indoor dining is closed but take out is open. The parking lot on the pier itself is closed down so people can be on the pier social distancing, but the big parking lot to the right of the pier below is still open. There's still lots of vendors selling food and souvenirs on the pier. The ferris wheel wasn't open when I visited, hopefully once the lock down ends that will reopen. It was still fun seeing the pier, the ocean, the old Route 66 signs.

(Translated by Google) If you are far from this city it is not worth the trip as a tourist point. It is a dock to hang out for the people who live around it, the biggest influx are young people who go on skates and bicycles. There is a bubba gummp restaurant, but you can find it in various areas of Los Angeles, it is not necessary to come here. There are groups of young people who get together to play music and others to smoke, I don't think it is recommended for my young son, for example. People also go with their fishing rods and stand at the end of the pier, if you like fishing you can go with your equipment. Normally the pier is a nice place to go but tonight it was a lot different most of the places were closed there was a lot of people the favorite eating places were closed or you had to find a place to tailgating eating your car at this ask yourself why are the shopping centers and malls open and the restaurants are closed is more likely that you would get covid-19 food for thought

World famous Santa Monica Beach Pier seen in countless 📽️🎥 movies including FORREST GUMP and so many other films/things! Fun rides and safety is their priority! Great 🌊 🦈 ocean views, great carnival foods and fun!

Enjoy a day at Santa Monica with friends or family! (Always crowded though) Beautiful place and you get a variety of food options available. The beach, the play area on the shore, the Pacific amusement park, the views during sunset and the vibe is just amazing for a weekend gateway! Different types of bikes available on rent on a hourly and full day basis. To avoid crowd, visit the place early morning on weekdays 😅

Came and visited the famous Santa Monica pier ! This is the pier that’s been made famous in a few hit movies. Lots of people, local entrepreneurs (or as you may call it street vendors and musicians) giving the crowd some enjoyment. The water did have some debris in it from people who don’t care about the environment but that’s another story!

  • 5/5 Leilani-Z 2 years ago on Google
Made a quick stop before heading up the coast so that Mom could ride the Pacific Coast Wheel. The pier is relaxed and fun with lots of rides, games, and food. The view from top of the wheel was amazing! The line wasn't very long, and they load 4 cars at a time so it went very fast. We were also on the ride for at least 4 or 5 full times around plus it takes a little while to unload, so we had a chance to enjoy the views for quite awhile.

Santa Monica Pier is always a great visit, however it gets very crowded during weekends and stays this way for most of the day. There are always street vendors selling food, little toys for kids, or roses. The best time to come is during sunset so you can see it before dark and then later when all the lights turn on. The view of the sunset from here is beautiful and there are rows of benches to sit on at the end of the pier. It does close at around 11pm on weeknights.

  • 5/5 Neils T. 2 years ago on Google
I had taken lot of nice pics here. And the street food was also tasty. But remember to bring the cash with you, the food truck do not take card.

Very busy at the pier. I was glad to see that it was clean! Lots to do and see here. Walk the pier, have a bite to eat, shopping or just relax in the sand and enjoy the view!

  • 3/5 James M. 2 years ago on Google
The pier is showing it’s age but it’s iconic status makes it worth a visit. Good place to watch the sunset but get a place by the railing early it fills up quickly near sunset. Enjoyed the beach away from the pier much more!

  • 5/5 Elijah N. 1 year ago on Google
Absolutely stunning. I shared this day mother's Day with my wife and kids and was totally flabbergasted with the experience. The temperature was ideal the environment was exceptional. We walked along the pier and see the mini carnival events and had dinner at the Marisol restaurant at the end of the pier. We were able to experience some fisherman's catching fish and various people enjoying the day

  • 5/5 Maya H. 1 year ago on Google
Lovely place 😍 There are a lot of things to do - food, drinks, rollercoasters, karaoke 😁 We went there last thing that day to catch the sunset above the pier: it was magnificent! Few different performers were playing some relaxing music up and down the pier which made the experience even better. The beach surrounding the area is really nice as well, very wide and clean. There is a paid parking but it wasn’t too expensive. You should definitely check it out!

  • 5/5 Kira 1 year ago on Google
What a wonderful place to visit. It can get busy sometimes, but we had good luck visiting in the afternoon on a weekday. The restaurants on the pier are delicious and have great views. At night, the vibe is great and the rides are lit up.

  • 4/5 jiggbury 1 year ago on Google
Awesome place to hang out and play! Tickets, while they are expensive are on a convenient card which i don't remember last time I was here! It also means lines are very short for rides! I bet having an unlimited pass must be real nice here! Try out the ferris wheel in roller coaster when you can as they're the main highlights!

  • 5/5 Dylan H. 9 months ago on Google
Santa Monica Pier is easily in my top 5 favourite places ever! I live in Canada, but I have made the effort to fly to LA at least once a year just to go to the pier, for the last 10+ years. The all-day wrist bands are priced well, and the rides are endlessly awesome! I highly recommend riding the roller coaster during sunset. It is breathtaking. The food options are great along the entire length of the pier, and the scenic views are lovely from all sides. This is a great place for a date night, family day out, or just a friends day! I even got a tattoo of Santa Monica Pier a couple of years ago; I really do love it!

  • 5/5 Stephen K. D. 9 months ago on Google
When I think of Los Angeles, the Santa Monica Pier is on of many things that come to mind. I've always wanted to visit and boy it did not disappoint. The views of the mountain range to the north is stunning and Venice Beach to the south is gorgeous. There are a few shops long the pier that sell a lot of the same thing. There are a few restaurants that I did not try but they looked good. The amusement park rides looked fun but I'm not sure how long the lines were. The end of the pier is definitely quieter than the walk to the end. The Pacific ocean waves looked cold but that was expected at the end of March and beginning of April. I want to go back in the warmer weather. I would recommend going in the late spring or early summer to get the most out of the pier.

  • 4/5 Heather S. 9 months ago on Google
This is a touristy area, so it is really crowded. However, it was still a cool place to visit. The Amusement park had some fun things and I really liked the ferris wheel. Food options are on the pricey side, but it's to be expected. The sunset was pretty great when I was there and lights at the amusement park were awesome.

  • 5/5 Lucas San M. 9 months ago on Google
The pier itself was really crowded. There were no fireworks on Fourth of July this year which sucks because there were lady year so many people were confused by it. The pier is cold so wear a jacket cause the dock is super windy overall. The shops and store themes are fun and cool to walk around and look at. A few places to buy souvenirs.

  • 4/5 Jennifer M. 9 months ago on Google
This Pier is so iconic that my family and I had to check it out during our last trip to LA in April 2023. The parking was very close and reasonable. The beach is beautiful, and the view from the Pier was amazing. We rode the ferris wheel, which gave us an even better view of the area. It was so breathtaking. The Pier has lots of shops with some nice items but mostly touristy chincy souvenirs. There are several restaurants to choose from. Anything from nice sit down places to ice cream, coffee, and funnel cakes. We went to Seaside on the Pier which was outstanding. They had great food, outdoor seating options, and a beautiful view! The area was very crowded but people were polite. They have a row of restrooms which was very convenient! Overall nice place but very touristy.

  • 4/5 Johnny S. 5 months ago on Google
Pretty decent pier and boardwalk. Various food options and vendors. There are designated fishing areas, (limited space) and the place was pretty crowded for a Thursday afternoon. Plenty of paid parking with really narrow stalls. It's a little walk from the parking lot to the stairs to get up the pier. Lots of trash around the beach, be careful what you step on.

  • 5/5 David S. 5 months ago on Google
Very popular tourist spot. So it gets very busy. So anticipate crowds and queues. The board walk is very worn and uneven. Watch your step when walking around. There is paid parking but it fills quickly. All wheelchair accessible.

My kids & I enjoyed ourselves very much; the atmosphere was great. We walked down to the water and listened to the waves lapping at the shore; it was very relaxing. Afterward, we wandered along the pier, listening to the music of a guitarist playing for the crowd. We played at the arcade and had a good time.

  • 3/5 Clément M. 5 months ago on Google
Santa Monica Pier had a lively atmosphere, but it didn't quite live up to my expectations. While there was a good vibe, it fell short of the envisioned experience. The bustling scene and iconic attractions provided a decent visit, but the overall impression left me expecting a bit more.

I took my son here to meet up with his best friend. They hadn't seen each other since June on account that they now attend different middle schools. The outing was fun, not too expensive and local! We got the boys wristbands which was about $40. This allowed them to ride multiple times whichever ride they chose. At some point they became hungry and wanted to eat. My son chose pizza while the rest of us had burgers and fries. Definitely satisfying and delicious. Just watch out for the birds...they try to swoop in and snag your food! After eating we went back to play some games and both boys won a desired prize! Over all we only spent about $100 for 6hours of fun! We definitely plan to do this again soon!

Santa Monica Pier and the beach is a must! I visited LA with my best friend in mid-October and we came down here after a lovely afternoon at the Getty Villa. We forgot our bathing suits and flipflops but they sell them at the pier stands! Lots of fun activities, def family friendly stuff to do. There were plenty of restaurants and there was an arcade and some rides. Parking was aplenty, we parked in Lot 1. We bought tickets to go up on the Ferris wheel so we could get a nice view from above. One thing to note, if you get nauseous easily, this Ferris wheel goes a little faster than you might expect ... but we had lots of fun still. I recommend coming here in late afternoon thru evenings. The pier lights up so beautifully at night but it does get chilly so bring a jacket.

Wonderful place. It was nice on a thanksgiving day but a few things you should consider visiting the pier. No business except the McDonalds offers guest access to restroom. So I recommend taking a pitstop well before you reach there. The multistory public parking was much cheaper than the surface parking (people with flags). Take your time, you will find the spot. Few well spent hours there!

  • 5/5 Amdon A. 4 months ago on Google
Santa Monica Pier is a beautiful place to go with your significant other or family and friends. It’s very diverse, we went when it was a bit colder outside, so it was very kid friendly! There was a muscular man that climbed the light post touching a coconut tree. But it is California! Funnel cakes, ice cream, anything you can think of at a park was there. The views were beautiful. You pay for rides but to get into the pier is free. Great place to take pictures!

  • 5/5 Amjad B. 4 months ago on Google
Santa Monica Pier is an absolute gem! The vibrant atmosphere, breathtaking ocean views, and diverse attractions make it a must-visit destination. Whether you're strolling along the iconic boardwalk, enjoying thrilling rides, or savoring delicious treats, this place has something for everyone. A quintessential Southern California experience that deserves every bit of its 5-star rating!

  • 5/5 Guilherme C. 4 months ago on Google
What an amazing spot. The views are breathtaking. I'm impressed with how alive the place is, full of colours, buskers, and nice folks (and the occasional druggie shouting at something). I recommend you come watch the sunset from the pier. It's amaaazing!

  • 5/5 Tina S. 5 months ago on Google
So many good things here. Music, shops, food, entertainment, the amusement park. We had a group of ten who spent he evening there. It felt safe. Beautiful view from the Ferris wheel. I had so much fun.

  • 5/5 Ronald A. 4 months ago on Google
Great boardwalk and amusement area. Rides are overpriced but worth it for the experience (if only once). Street vendors are all over the place each one better than the other. The beach itself was not crowded and access was relatively easy. Would go back for the food.
