It is noisy, busy and tasty. The place is huge like a dinning hall. It has a courtyard that you can enjoy fresh air, sitting inside can be stuff in the summer time. But the court yard is very noisy. Very busy. You will have much better luck before 5:30pm. They put “reserved” signs on the few tables next to the window open to the courtyard. This area fills up quickly after 6pm. Food is delicious. Of course I ordered pig knuckle, and of course it is delicious. But I am not sure how they make mashed potato - it is called potato dumpling - It feels like it is mixed with sticky rice and it is like a ball that can bounce - not my favorite. Bavarian Cream with fruit is really good. The cream is soft and melts in your mouth. You can see the foam topping on the glass - great beers for sure. I was lucky to have a waitress with smile on her face. But overall it is a very busy place so please don’t expect too much from service. Oh the wind band starts to play from 6pm.

Historic and famous venue with good atmosphere and great beer. The band is good, playing the expected favorites. Food and service are good but there are better options if that's the focus. We were there in January (off season) and our waitress was covering a bunch of tables and messed up our order, some delays in getting the right dish. That said, still well worth a visit.

Beer for breakfast? That's the Bavarian way! Great brunch spot to try in a huge hall with great atmosphere. Be prepared for 1l beers and lots of bread and sausage. Was a fun experience and the food was definitely good too. Great experience for first timers!

You have to go at least for the German ambiance. The architecture, decor, and live music is amazing. The place is huge and crowded. Be ready to share a table with others if you want to be seated in a timely manner. The original beer was great, the food not so much. It was cool to see a girl come around selling pretzels from a basket. Don’t waste your money like I did (€4), they were cold and hard. At least go have a few beers and enjoy time with your friends and family.

We thoroughly enjoyed our time here. Try your best to sit in the courtyard! The pretzel 🥨 and beer 🍺 were fantastic and the food was just okay. Don’t be too hard on them, I can’t imagine how difficult it would be to keep all of this food ready to go. Always ask for a seasonal menu and try the seasonal beer! The restrooms are very nice. Put a napkin over your nice clothes if you are eating a dish with gravy!

I would say overall a positive experience a very large fast paced beer hall. The service was prompt the Veal and Schnitzel in the pictures was fine. The 1 litre stein beer is always fun, and the place is certainly lively with the Bavarian band. Therefore, certainly no issues for us. However, it can get very loud on occasions, which may not be for everyone.

Crowded during the lunch hour. Took about 15 min of circling around before we could find 4 seats - of course, sharing a table with strangers. Great live music. Excellent beer and tasty German food. Though not the best you can get in the area, certainly worth it if it’s your first time in Munich. Fun experience!

A must-visit when you are in Munich to experience the great and eye-opening ambience of this restaurant. Go before peak meal time to avoid the crowd and disappointment when you can't get a seat. Food was above average and authentic. My boys simply loved the big mugs of coke!

Very lively atmosphere and good food! The pork knuckle was delicious but the schnitzel was slightly soggy. The sausage was also delicious with the iconic 1L beer. Service was good and quick despite the place being packed. Enjoyed the meal giving us an experience of the Bavarian tradition.

Found a table fairly easily on a busy Sunday evening. Service was quick considering it was very crowded. Beer was excellent and we loved the food (family of 4, with 5 and 11 year old). Got the pork knuckle and some veal sausages, and we all enjoyed our meals. The pork knuckle was large in portion. Live band started playing, and we enjoyed clapping and cheering to good music. Great atmosphere inside, it was very loud and entertaining.

great experience here. you can share tables with someone and meet new people. it's busy and crazy, and that adds to the vibe. definitely worth going for a walk and getting lost in the building. our server was amazing, he was an absolute machine and so friendly. food was also very good. worth the experience.

One of the highlights of my trip to Munich! Amazing place! Huge one with plenty of tables but… be quick. On Saturday it’s getting crowded as soon as it is open! Plenty of locals, local food, local beer and local music! Most probably you will be seated with other people so it’s a good opportunity to get know some new people. Food? The pork belly was one of the best things I have had since a long time! OMFG - that was super tasty! One thing to remember - be patient! They have hundreds of people to be served around the clock since opening till the end so be understanding for the staff!

First place to start our trip to Munich. This place has a history. Love it’s colourful interior and atmosphere. Good food and no doubt we enjoyed it but we were there for beer. Our first cheers and really enjoyed chill beer. Staff was cool and service was fine. Good to be here.

Famous place in Munich, must go and try for the atmosphere. Music and dance for outgoing you. Food is salty and had to go with the cabbage to balance the acidity. Beer is nice unfortunately not a beer person. Need to find your own seats but there should be plenty at level 2 .

Would recommend coming here for beer. We felt the food wasn’t as value for money/tasty. Other than that, the atmosphere was pleasant and lively as there were a lot of people on the first floor, and there were live musical performances. A lot of people seated inside were very happy, drinking and talking, and evidently enjoyed themselves here. Service wise, the waiter took a while to attend to us, but when he arrived, we had to state our orders clearly and quickly. Very soon, he had arrived with our food.

Quite touristy as an experience but still worth a visit if you happen to be in Munich. You can buy the giant pretzel from the girls walking around in traditional costumes for €4.5 and enjoy a beer and some sausages. Throughout the day there’s a band with live music, which adds to the ambience.

If you’re in Munich, you definitely have to stop by here for a beer (or three). The atmosphere is amazing. The beers are cold and there is a pretty nice selection. If you’re hungry, they also have a wide variety of options to suite you. The service was good, most of the time. You have to keep in mind, they’re almost always busy so a lot of people to attend to.

It’s got to be done! Big loud beer hall. Just turn up and take a seat, order a litre of beer and some food and enjoy. Cool band playing and a great atmosphere! Food was okay - but the atmosphere makes up for it.

Honestly can't give this place more props. The vibe and atmosphere here is hard to beat. We visited in late September and even though oktoberfest was cancelled were lucky enough to experience a mini one. Everyone was dressed in traditional outfits and traditional music was being played through out the night. Food is very tasty and generous in portions and the beer is as tasty as most beer in Germany

This is such an amazing and authentic German restaurant with huuuuge seating area. Their ambiance is fantastic and pretty much gives me ancient historical vibes. There was live music here and everything was so pleasant. We tried their Original Hofbräuhaus beer, it was the best. We also had our dinner here and I must say, food isn’t that great. I think I have had better Spätzle compared to this one here. Honestly, this place is crowded most of the times but finding a seat to enjoy the evening shouldn’t be a problem. Staffs are super friendly and I’d say beers are worth it. I really enjoyed visiting this place.

We decided to try this restaurant for his fame. We were highly disappointed unfortunately. The quality could have been better, the meat was hard, the schnitzel small, and the schweinshaxe extremely salty. The location is very nice and the people friendly, just expecting more for that price.

Definitely a must experience in Munich. Only mishap was that we had a reservation but there wasn’t really anyone who knew what to do with our reservation. We kept being told find the manager, yet no one knew where the manager was. A little bit more instruction to go with our reservation would’ve been nice. Food and beer were more than worth it

The restaurant is impressively huge and very popular. We arrived right at 11:00 and there was already a gathering of people outside waiting to enter. We went upstairs to the terrace, which was less hectic, although a lot of the tables were reserved, so we had to search for a free one. At opening, you can only order drinks and some food from a limited section on the menu. If you want a main for lunch, you’ll have to wait until noon. The food was average and my fish was unfortunately underseasoned. I quite enjoyed the potato crust, though. I think the hype of this place comes from the ambience and social experience of drinking with your friends in a large dining hall setting. We don’t drink, so it was a different experience for us. We did enjoy the band that played music in the courtyard, though. Service ranged from indifference to cold. The tables around us were getting their food before us even though we had ordered well in advance, but when I queried the waitress, I was given an icy response that the food would come if I had ordered it. I also saw the same waitress later shrug at a group of people who asked where they could find seating at a time when the restaurant had gotten quite busy. There is a gift shop on site should you want some souvenirs.

We have reserved a few months in advance for this and it was a good experience. The food was simple, and straight to the point. My favorite was the pork knuckle. The skin was very crispy. However i found the taste to be very one dimentional, and salty. The interior is spectacular though.

Hofbräuhaus is definitely an experience worth having. I doubt you'll find a more German, or I mean, Bavarian experience anywhere. The beer hall is massive and gorgeous. All the wall and ceiling paintings are a treat! However, the place is massive. And always packed. And noisy. VERY noisy. Especially when the live band hits with some classic polka and people go wild cheering and possibly even dancing. If you're not one of those people who get anxious about large crowds and huge echoing noises, then you won't be bothered. The service is really slow because there are just so many customers. The staff is forgetful about what you ordered (and billing you for everything, too). The food and beer were excellent though!

Beautiful restaurant in Munich Germany with great bier and food. Actually I am not a big fan of beer, but the dark beer of Hofbräuhaus is so delicious to me with smooth and malty flavor. The alcohol volume of dunkel beer is not too high for me. After about 15 minutes, the beer was getting bitter, but still delicious. Knuckle of pork is crunchy, yummy and fresh, however, the amount of one dish is still too big for me as an asian girl. The dessert with Bavarian cream is amazing. The staffs are friendly and quick. Highly recommend this restaurant!!!

During my visit to this place, I couldn't help but appreciate the warm and welcoming ambiance. The staff was friendly and attentive, making the dining experience even more enjoyable. In addition to the fantastic sausages, I also tried some other local dishes that left a lasting impression. The variety of flavors and textures in the food was remarkable. The place seemed to be quite busy, which is usually a good sign of its popularity. However, it's worth mentioning that it's advisable to make a reservation in advance, especially during peak hours, to secure a table. The lively atmosphere created a sense of vibrancy and energy, making it a perfect spot for social gatherings or a fun night out. I was pleasantly surprised by the diverse menu, catering to various tastes, from hearty comfort food to more adventurous culinary experiences. Overall, my visit to this place was a memorable and enjoyable one. I look forward to returning and exploring more of their culinary offerings.

Great oktoberfest beer tent in hard stand building. Awesome experience if you are in Munich. Free for all seating so be prepared to walk around and find seats but multiple floors so isn't too bad. Food was excellent best schnitzel I've had in Germany.

This restaurant has a nice yard which allows people to eat outside with peace! We liked the food but it was a little expensive. The beer was really good! The staff was not always kind and confusing to us. For a quick locally brewed beer this place is really good!

Lovely place in the heart of Munich that definitely encapsulates what Bavaria is all about. It offers an Oktoberfest vibe all year round with live music traditionally Bavarian food and culture and lots of beer. There's only big tables so you'll have to share with strangers, again very Oktoberfest'esque and it's very loud inside. The food and beer is quite pricey, especially considering the quality of the food (not bad, but not the best you've ever had either...). Going there is definitely an experience everyone who's visiting Munich has to make.

One of the best places in Munich. The food is fantastic, and the Dark Radler is a drink unlike any other. There is a lot of history too. It can be confusing so go straight upstairs to the grand hall, take a seat, and soak it all in.

A traditional beer hall, where you can get traditional Bavarian food in a nice setting. Pork knuckle is a must try on the menu but beware, the portion is quite big. Try grabbing a seat outside as it is extremely nice to eat there in summer. Although prices are higher than usual and it is a bit touristy, a must try if you're in Munich for the first time.

It is a nice place to visit due to the nice building and traditional local decor. The menu is very traditional with a nice variety. The food we order was ok. The schnitzel was tender and tasty, but the potatos tasted "old". Not nice. The roast pig was really good but from the two pieces of meat served, only one was eatable. The other was so dry and hard that just stayed in the plate... it was a pity 😕 Although it us mandatory to show the certification of vaccination or test, there ia no protections between tables and as the house fills in, people are sitting really close to each other. The room is very big and a lot of people are allowed inside. Not advised for those who do not like noise!

Great experience, but not you can SEAT YOURSELF! When we went there were 10 people standing in the entry waiting for someone to seat them, but they don’t do this! Sit down anywhere there is no card WITH the name of a party the blank cards on tables don’t mean anything (per one server there). Beer is delicious!!!

Hofbräuhaus Munchen is one of the places to visit if you are in Munich. I had a good time there, however, I had a feeling that the place is really touristic 🙂 Dishes, I ordered, were tasty, service was relatively quick and waitress was friendly, band played some German melodies and beer was great. So, I enjoyed my visit. The only issue was that there was a mark of a lip stick on my glass 🧐

The atmosphere is unmatched. It's a must see when you visit Munich. From the decor to the traditional band playing live to the frenetic servers weaving throughout the space... it's a feast for the senses. However, I will say that the food left something to be desired. The portions were generous but the flavor was just on the other side of bland. The beer is served in either a half liter and/or liter glass mugs. The liter stein (mug) when full seems to weigh the same as a small dog. The servers are frequently seen carrying up to a dozen at a time! Drinking such a huge beer is fun at first but I was struggling to finish it. The experience overall at Hofbrauhaus was fun and convivial. Clinking steins with strangers and talking with patrons at neighboring tables can't be beat!

Food was very good but service was less than adequate. Came at 1200 and didn’t get food until 1315. Then getting check took over 15 minutes. If you are not in a hurry, the historic aspect of this place (along with the beer!) May make up for the service delays.

At Hofbräuhaus München in Munich, the beer served in 1-liter cans is outstanding. However, the food options are disappointingly mediocre, not matching the quality of the brews. The brewery's decoration is impressive, creating a pleasant ambiance. Adding to the experience, live music performances provide a lively atmosphere. Beer enthusiasts seeking great tunes alongside their drinks will find Hofbräuhaus München in Munich a perfect spot.

Bavarian atmosphere with live music. Grab any tables that has no reserved sign, first comes first serves. 2 peoples are quite easy to find a round small table but outside patio is a real table war where customers are fighting for it as music chairs. Foods were great and very enjoyable with a local beer

The place is a must to visit for the atmosphere and the location, but in Munich there are much better place for typical food...this place is good food but average and a bit "industrial" like a chain restaurant. The service is random in the sense that if you sit down in the right place the waiter can be the best and nice or the worst. They are slow in taking your order because of this waiters issue that vary depending where you sit. I suggest to sit inside and not outised like us.

I can only say UNIQUE . A trip to Munich is not complete without visiting and drinking a beer in this Biergarten. Big and beautiful old building, beautiful courtyard, waiters and waitresses in traditional Bavarian clothes, live music and great beers. The service is not very good because the crowd is very large, but in my opinion, the positive points of this place are so many that we can ignore this negative point.

The food is not surprisingly good but up to standard, experiencing the vibes is more important than the food itself. The portion is big, so don’t order too much food if you are not a big eater. Don’t expect the waiters to be very nice to you, given there are so many guests waiting to be served, they cannot take care of everyone at the same time, therefore, don’t feel bad if you don’t wanna leave a tip.

How do you even rate what could arguably be the world's most famous beer hall? The atmosphere is simply electric. If you're not big into crowds, you may want to pass, but to simply see the stunning hall is amazing. Even with it being very crowded, the service was great. The food is very good. You can't skip the beer either.

We've waited about 40 minutes, tried to draw attention of at least 7 waiters that were passionlessly passing by, and only after changing a table, managed to make an order. Food was good, though. So if you don't feel hungry or thirsty, but rather feel lucky (or you just enjoy being treated as a void) you definitely should visit this place.

(Translated by Google) Traditional. Delicious, Bavarian. Food and beer excellent. The staff should be a bit friendlier despite the rush of visitors. The staff shift changes should be better organized. Visitors don't want to wait to order just because the shift change takes 10 minutes. Otherwise great, still okay in terms of price. Addendum 09/16/2020: Roast pork roast tastes good. But it depends on whether you get a smaller or larger piece of meat. You may or may not be lucky. Beer refreshing, tasty. (Original) Traditionell. Lecker, Bayerisch.

(Translated by Google) I was in the famous pub three times, every time I came to Munich. Yes, there are many visitors, yes, the waiters are running around without noticing you. But still I like the atmosphere of the holiday. Especially when the orchestra is playing. On the last visit, I went to look for an outlet to charge the phone, and ended up on the 2nd floor. There I sat down at a lonely table somewhere on the outskirts, next to the door to the terrace. Took the original steak for 12.5 euros. On my last visit, it cost 8.9 euros. Beer cost 8.5 per liter and 4.3 euros per half liter. This is a lot for me and the waitress agreed to bring 0.3 liters. By the way, if you ask around, the waiters will find the menu in Russian. I recommend going to the 2nd floor, there are fewer people, and taking a steak, it just melts in your mouth. Yes, and there is also a nice free toilet in the pub. This is very useful if you walk around the city all day.

Went for lunch, it’s a proper traditional beer hall. Typical Bavarian and very touristy but it has to be done. Prices reflect this. Very large indoor seating area with wooden bench style seating. Due to Corona they unfortunately have lost a lot of seating to keep distancing. Such a shame. They had a traditional Bavarian band playing live music. The service was also good. I had the Cordon Bleu which was nice. Could have done with a few more potatoes... My wife had the Rindergulasch (beef stew with dumpling) which she also really enjoyed. Beer was ok and the atmosphere was good. It was busy which is good to see. They take credit cards too.

It's motr bigly and louderer than the competition - so no wonder US visitors love it. Joking apart, it's a must visit when in Munich. Other places do better food / cheaper beer / a better atmosphere, but the Hofbraushaus has the location and the size. It gets bonus points for having a wonderful meeting space upstairs where you can soak up the same vibe of the 1930s political luminaries who liked to give speeches there - apparently they were a big deal at the time.

This is literally what you think of when you think of a stereotypical beer hall in Germany. Because it literally plays to all the tourist stereotypes, from the way everything is set up to the servers' uniforms and we loved it! Service was friendly, food was so carb-heavy and the beer was amazing. It was so loud with the band playing and people coming in and out. It was utter chaos, but so very Bavarian. However, it may not be for everyone, as service can be very slow and you're literally pushed up against people while eating. But a great experience! Note: Visited prior to COVID; things may have changed.

This was our favourite attraction of Munich and we will always recommend it to friends and family visiting the city. As others have mentioned, vaccination or proof of testing/recovery is a requirement. The food was delicious, our group of 31 had the sausage and sauerkraut meals, with a creamy potato soup and pretzels and a bavarian cream w berries for dessert. It was so delicious. And the service was fast and impeccable, they were working as a team to get the job done. We were also delighted with music from the band. The restaurant was very crowded. We went in the afternoon for less busy period. The waiters were engaged and unfriendly. Food taste ok. Pork knuckle was almost skinless but crispy. We should have enjoyed if it wasn’t too salty. White asparagus soup has mild taste so we could taste sweetness of the asparagus. If the waiter hadn’t asked how much I would tip him, the meal would have had a nice meal.

Food was excellent, as it was fresh and tasty. The service was great as well as the food arrived surprisingly quickly despite the place being very busy. The atmosphere was the only negative component, it was very loud due a combination of very tightly packed large crowd and a live music that blended into the crowd noise, also the inside part was quite humid and hot, I would not recommend going there if it is raining outside as the place captures the humidity. Other than the points regarding the atmosphere,I would say it was a great experience!

Interesting place to visit, it’s fairly easy to find a spot considering how famous this place is. We been there twice during a weekend and found place, service was amazingly fast considering how busy it gets. Beer was good, pretzels and desert were pretty good too.

Excellent location and large seating area. Even though typically busy service was very good. The cheese platter is huge, the sausages are a good choice, and beers are wonderful.

This was a difficult one to rate. On the one hand, it's an icon of Germany and really deserves a visit at least once. On the other, if you go during a busy period like we did, you can be waiting over 45 minutes to even order your food and then over 30 minutes for the food to come out, just warm, not hot. However, I like the fact that you sit in amongst strangers and it's a great place to mingle. We met a couple of Japanese people and went out for drinks with them after

It’s a massive place with big beers, but misses some charm. I ate the pork leg which was good, didn’t like the potato. The white sausage was okay. Good to have seen it, but next time I’m Munich will go elsewhere.

Definitely a must visit if you are in Munich. As a couple we walked in and joined a big table. It takes a while to get served as the staff are very busy, but if you don't mind being a bit patient it is well worth it. Be sure to grab a beer and maybe a bite to eat. I was a bit disspointed with my roast pork, it was very flavourful but seemed to be a much smaller portion than what everyone else was being served with only 2 very thin slices. The atmosphere is incredible and can only imagine on a Friday or Saturday afternoon it would be very fun.

An absolute must visit while in Munich. I prefer to sit in the courtyard, but the inside seating is nice too (just gets a little warm in there). Communal seating, so you sit at long tables with whatever local characters/tourists are around. Great beer. Great Wiener schnitzel.

Big beautiful building, clean restrooms. Hope you can find a table and a good willing waiter. I wasn't able to do so... Twenty minutes to go through the facilities which are amazing but I couldn't get to try their famous beer. A pity!

Indeed the world’s largest pub. The place is massive in size with a vibe identical to the Oktoberfest. The beer is what you would expect, cold and refreshing with the dishes being mouth watering. We ordered the sausages and soup, and loved them. The only part that had room for improvement was that the waiters were not very customer friendly.

Very nice place, with a beautiful atmosphere and architecture, live band. It's a big place, busy, but service is good. Bit expensive if you are a budget traveller. Beer costs almost 12 and 6 euros and meals are 18 euros. Overall, I had a good experience.

We enjoyed our dinner here. We felt like we are doing the thing that German people do, drinking beer. We shared a table with a few locals because we couldn't find an empty table. Live music was playing as we walked in around 7 pm. The chicken is my favorite. We also have the pork with a large potato dumpling

Perfect place with a very tasty beer and good food. The atmosphere is very pleasant here. However it is very crowded, even in the daytime during working day, so don't expect a very fast service.

We had a fun experience in this historic beer hall. We loved the food, music and beer. The pretzel was the best I’ve ever had. We enjoyed the pork knuckles and the live band. A must visit if you are visiting Munich!

A must see historical beer house in the heart of Munich. No visit would be complete without stopping here and experiencing the atmosphere and delicious beer! Service is a little slow but the place is massive and can accommodate hundreds, either inside one of their many halls or in the central outdoor terrace. Come for the beer, stay for the excellent food and great entertainment. Be sure to stroll around this massive property and take in all the ambiance and history.

Historic setting for a sit down, communal style lunch, dinner or just a pint of their signature beer. A touch overly tourist-ridden due to its reputation as the oldest Bierhaus in Munich but nonetheless a must-see. Owing to it’s tourist attractiveness, the food standard isn’t that great & staff are quite rude when compared to other establishments in the city. Also, they don’t do schnitzel?

This place is always crowded. Nice vibe for a drink and have fun with friends. The food is amazing, too. Good service. Must go

Definitely a tourist trap but it's a must visit if you're a beer and/or history fan and you're in Munich. The beer hall is massive and bustling and has live music, loud guests, lots of spilled beer...just how you imagine an old beer hall should be. Plus, how can you pass up a 1 litre lager from one of the best breweries in Bavaria? The food was very tasty as well.

Great place in the heart of Munich! Food was good and tasty. Service was great. Atmosphere was amazing followed with live bend. Beer is great Very crowded people are coming in and out all the time just to take pictures. Kind of disrespectful for the people that are dining in. It’s full all the time you must have the pork knee Schweinshaxe! Everything we had was delicious even the chicken. There’s great outdoor garden hopefully you are lucky to get table there.

The place is incredible and you can really feel the real German life style. Good food and beer. With 1500 seats you have no problem to find your table. They was also very fast to serve food for me and 2 my friend even if the place was almost full. If you will be in Monaco you have to try this place!

Our group of 10-12 people ate there twice during our vacation. Once inside and once outside. Great service both times and they divided our checks each time. Food was amazing g. You must try the Munich veal sausage, their specialty. Delicious!

A classic that is a requirement when visiting Munich. Fabulous beer, wonderful atmosphere, and great food. Tried several of the beers, tasting plates, and of course pretzels. All were great except for the donut which was a bit dry for my liking. My only gripe is the service leaves a lot to be desired, and was only time in all of Europe when I felt pressured to tip for honestly terrible service.

Two of us female tourists went for dinner. The place was too crowded and so loud. TERRIBLE SERVICE AND RUDE WAITERS We had to find table ourselves and we didn’t even feel welcomed. One of the waiters pushed me when I was walking to find a table probably I was on his way but he could have told me nicely. Again during payment we were checking what we had because they never showed us the bill. The waiter suddenly said “are you paying or not? I don’t have much time “ I was truly shocked of the way they treated customers. Maybe we went to the wrong time or it’s normal there but it was such a terrible and bad experience. Quality of food is not worth the money. At least beer was great Overall I’m so disappointed and will never visit this restaurant again.

What an amazing place. The feel of this place makes it a perfect place to visit to enjoy the German Biergarten experience. The seating arrangement is refreshingly simple and you sit where you can sit with whomever you can sit with. Simple, refreshing and great for making new friends. Food was very good considering how busy the venue is how quickly you get served. Beer is also very good and honestly I would have been disappointed if it wasn’t lol 😂 In the background you get to experience the live Bavarian music and you simply can’t help feeling the warmth and excitement with the crowd. Overall a fantastic experience and one that I would definitely recommend 🍻🍻

The vibes are great. The whole place is bustling, there are people sitting everywhere with strangers at communal tables and there's also live music played. For the atmosphere, I was pretty satisfied with my experience, but I do want to give a heads up that service can be extremely slow given the sheer amount of people going in and out and how the staff is constantly running around serving an insane amount of guests. Nonetheless, still a must-do if you're visiting Munich.

W had the best experience because I got there early... It is usually very crowded and it is hard to get a table. We were served very quickly, staff very agile and smiley

While in Munich we stopped for dinner here , they were very busy. after some time looking for a table, a nice older couple gave us their table ! Waitstaff are definitely spread thin here . So expect some wait for food and drinks ! Lots of good local music and entertainment because of tourist dancing to music.

Great sausages, tremendously huge Pork Knuckle, fine local beer. Doesn’t look like much from outside, but it’s actually a huge hogwarts-esque dining hall with a live band playing German folk music. Real good fun

In Munich, how can you miss a century-old beer hall! We arrived during the dinner hour, and the place was already packed, buzzing with people. You find your own seat, sit wherever you like, and the waitstaff will attend to you. We ordered the famous pork knuckle and sausages, and of course, the dark beer. The taste was good, and the prices were quite reasonable. We had 3 main dishes, 3 drinks, and it totaled 61 euros.

Typical German menu, good atmosphere, people singing and dancing inside and outside. Service was not all of the waiters so nice. And we didn’t ask for anything special. But some were very friendly. Hundreds of places to sit, a memorable restaurant

Had a great Bavarian meal to kick off our Christmas holiday in Munich. Great atmosphere and food. We were lucky enough to get set right next to the band and had a great time singing along with them. Would highly recommend

The food is very good. Beer is super. In the evening when we were there, it's a band playing until 10PM. Most of the songs were traditional German songs. My husband enjoyed this place very much. But as the guests were very crowded, the service was not 100% friendly. But acceptable to us. We had 2 main meals, 6 beers, 71€. So I can say this price is good compared to their reputation, location and food quality. Still highly recommend.
