It's a really beautiful garden decorated with flowers and water fountains. The architecture of garden is amazing as it gives the feel of terrace with stairs with flowers all around it. You can see different kind of flowers spread across the garden. During nights, there is light and water show in the garden. For entry you can get tickets at the entrance and food stall and small shops with snacks are present in the garden but they will charge a little more. Boating facility is also available in the garden. Dam side view is also amazing. A good place for chilling out.

One of the most beautifully laid out terrace gardens. Rose gardens on either side of the south gate are worth seeing. You can take a boat to get to the musical fountains and light show starts at 7:30 PM. There are Plenty of Snack bars inside the Garden. The whole garden when illuminated is a treat to eyes. A must visit place with family and friends !

South side excellent garden. Very well maintained. Fantastic climate. A must visit place. But, on the other side, the Music Light Fountain Show is not so attractive. What was there 50 years ago, the same is continuing, in fact deteriorating. To be improved a lot. Otherwise, a waste of time.

Garden is not so well maintained. The musical fountain is the only attraction i felt worth visiting. The musical fountain starts at 6.30pm. Please check for exact location where musical fountain is held. we were waiting at wrong place and missed Most of the fountain show. Too much crowded.

Very beautiful! It's so calm and serene and a great place to just relax with friends or family. The dam is also good ,there is an option for boating too. We were relaxing there for hours. The garden is also very nice, the designs are beautiful.

A real mixed bag. The gardens are really big and unusual, Italianate in part. Large lake below the dam, fountains are great. However some areas are quite neglected and need to be better cared for. Toilets especially and sections of the water features. Could be 5*. Be aware, they require both passport and visa ID on entry.

One of the best places to hangout and spend peaceful time in the gardens. have a family time. The bridge toll and parking fee is a total of 100rs and the ticket amount for adults above 6 years old is 50 rs and the rate for children 3 to 6 yrs old is 10 rs. The area has a ramp for the stroller and wheelchair. The garden is filled with many small fountains and good lighting and a lot of trees with small plants. The garden is the down side of a dam. Where the spill way of the dam is flown in between through the garden. We can cross the spillway using boats and there is a small bridge to walk across. Every evening there will be lighting and musical water shows available in the brindavan gardens. A lot of people can watch this wonderful show together from the gallery provided. A boating facility is also available here. Different types of boats are available here.

Beautiful - doesn't even begin to describe this place! It's truly heaven on earth. Best time to visit is in the late afternoon, so you can stay back to see it being lit up. There's Hotel Orchid which has a restaurant from where you can get a fantastic birds-eye view of almost the entire Garden. I believe they could have maintained it better though. There's enough parking space outside as well as a huge number of street-food stalls. Check the pics.

This is one of the popular tourist attractions in Mysore. If you ride a bike, it’s about 30 mins from the city of Mysore. The entrance fee is RS 50 and RS 10 for the bike parking fee. Since we went in November 2020 on a weekday, there was hardly any visitors. The max could be around 50 people. It was peaceful and perfect to get away from the hustle of city life. This garden is also perfect for a couple to get some time for themselves away from the city. Due to the Covid, not many stores and eateries are open. So, bring your own food if you prefer to spend several hours. We didn’t stayed for the light show but heard it’s popular among visitors. If you are planning for this show, make sure to visit late in the afternoon. Must visit for those who are into flowers. The garden has a lot of them. Restrooms are clean.

This place is too good and mentioned in an excellent condition too. It's a kind of a dam on one side and other side is a lovely garden. Boaring is also available in this park. Night view is too good. I recommend you to visit this park in the Evening so that you can enjoy the night lights too. The park consist of two garden on the both sides of a stream of water where you can enjoy the boating. In last this is a lovely place to visit with your loved ones and friends.

Now not allowed to visit the dam (Top of the dam, because of leopard appeared in CCTV). Garden is very beautiful. In some areas maintenance is poor. Enjoy with boating for that they are collecting Rs 40 per head.Water fountains are very nice. Entry fee in to the garden is Rs.50 per person. For below 6 years children they are not collecting entry fee. For still cameras additionally have to pay Rs.100. Bus no.303 from Mysore City Bus Stand. Bus fare is Rs.30 from Mysore

We loved garden, boating and musical water fountain show.Rs. 100 Car Entry charges near the tollgate that includes parking as well. Separate entry for adults (Rs.50) and children(Rs.10). You will get local food vendors inside the garden area. It is well planned. You may get crowded and traffic depending if you are visiting public holidays/weekends or long weekends however you will enjoy your trip.

Beautiful place, i would suggest to visit in day time to view all place in day time. And then wait for evening to enjoy the fountain show. Garden is well maintained. At some places fountains are not working.also place should be properly handled for insects and mosquitoes issue. Parking space is nice. During crowd time, security person should be available to handle in out traffic.

A wonderful and serene experience amidst the city of Mysore. The please is lush green and is full of flora all around. It's very well maintained but can get crowded at evening hours or over weekends. The boating experience is short but reasonably priced at just 40 bucks per person. It will take a full day for anyone who wants to cover all attractions in details hence plan accordingly. All in all a must go place for anyone visiting mysore.

What a lovely place to be in and it spreads over several acres of land with carpets of green grass , blooming flowers, trees arching to form nice and cool shade on a daytime visit to the garden. Small water fountains are turned on at regular intervals for watering the variety of plants. Night time musical fountain is mesmerizing. Amazingly wonderful site right next to KRS dam. Its a must visit on your planned trip to Mysore.

The garden is well maintained. Went on a Sunday evening with my family. Captured many beautiful pictures with my family in the colorful garden. In evening when it gets dark the light turn on, illuminating the garden wonderfully. The light and musical fountain show is good too. The garden has a north and south area which you can explore.

A must visit place in Mysore. The garden is well maintained and also the fountain show is quiet good. Note: Outside you will find many people saying that they will get you a ticket directly instead of standing in a queue. I suggest please don't trust them as they might cheat you. Also, the ticket counters don't have long queues and you will easily get ticket.

Beautiful Garden, filled with many small fountains and good lighting and a lot of trees with small plants. The musical fountain or water shows is the prime attraction. The Dam was lighted with Indian flag colours. The musical water shows start at 6.30pm and following every 30 min interval. In weekend so much crowded. Beware from pickpocket specially in musical show time and when cross the walkway bridge.

I reached there at 7 pm. I took tickets and entered in the garden and I was knowing that the garden will be closing at 9pm so we ran into the bridge and reached the place inside garden where we can see musical fountain. Program was running. I talked to security and they informed that musical fountain show will run in alternate 10 minutes. Rest there are some more normal fountains available and this all is in KRS Dam. We can spend a day here. Garden is very big. Boating option is there. Limited food options are there. I would recommend to go. But make sure you follow covid guidelines by yourself because crowd will be more than 20k in a day.

The center of attention, musical fountain starts from 6.30 pm every 10-15 minutes interval. And the fish stalls outside the gate are must try. They serve the fresh catches with delicious local recipe.

Located in outskirts of Mysore city, the garden works as cool down place for locals here. The garden is pretty huge and has artificial fountains and lake. It's pretty green too and you can find spot to sit and enjoy a picnic with your family. There is also light show in the evening which looks good. On the outside there are local food vendors who can help you replenish your energy if you have made yourself tired while taking a few rounds around the park.

One of the best places to visit in mysore. And its a big garden it is located outside the the city. And the transport facilites are also good to reach the place. And in the olden times before 16 years they used to allow people walk on the dam pathway. Now the its not available and the main event is on the evening the shower dance. Its the must watch event. And parking facilities was really good with ample parking available. There is a boat riding services which is also available here.

A one of its kind experience when it comes to the ambiance this place has. It has two sides to it, one is the view in day light and one is the night time water lighting. I suggest you to visit here at 3pm so that you get to see both the sides of the garden. Yes its very popular among both tourists and locals so its always crowded especially at the ticket counters. So be there early.

If you're going to Mysore and do not visit Brindavan Gardens you're in for a loss. Picturesque place. Perfect for family outing. They have really maintained it well. Best enjoyed during evening visits. Car parking and toll charges are ₹100. Musical fountain show is at the other end of the park and it starts at 7pm anf they have boat rides for you at ₹80 to take you there but take a free 5min walk with your loved ones and use the bridge it has another feeling all together. The only thing they seriously need to upgrade it their music. I was here in 2017 and still in 2021...they mostly play 90's era patriotic songs during the musical fountain show.

If you have full day to spend then this place is a must go. It has a lush green garden space you could have ever imagine. The entry fee is Rs 50. The Garden is very huge. So if you cant walk then you can take electrical vehicle ride which will cost you 100 rs per person. He will show south garden area in 15 mins. This place is also having boating which is charged at Rs 40 per person. Via Boating or Walking you can go to musical fountain garden area. Very calm and peaceful garden. A duplicate and minor copy of one of the famous gardens from Srinagar. Avoid visiting during daytime under the sun. Plenty of food stalls outside the main entry. Parking management is top notch. The road via the KRS dam to reach the gardens is closed for public. Note: The musical fountain is closed and under maintenance (as of May 2023).

Nice garden, but it's needs a lot of maintenance. The flowers were withering due to excess of sunlight and no water. The fountains were also not working properly. The water near the fountain was dirty and full of algae. Needs a lot of maintenance but it's a good walk bougainvillea's were very nice other flowers were nice too but if taken care of it'll be a more better experience.

Parking spots are available and a charge of rs 100 is done for 4wheelers which is inclusive of the parking charges. 50rs per person is charged for the entry to the gardens. Dam is off-limits. Carry water bottles as you will not get in some shops as well. Entry fee is 100/- per head the music will be on for only 5 minutes and by the time it ends rush back from short cut road which is not through steps but be careful

The garden is very beautiful and well maintained. Rains might spoil the experience. You can go up to the musical fountains for the view of the gardens, but the fountain itself is not much worth it. Late evenings from 4:30 to 7:30 are a good time to visit.

This is famous by name but in current condition Nov 2023 there is nothing in good condition. Only part of the first row fountains are in working condition. Not maintained at all. Gardens are also not maintained. Not worthy. Took ticket for camera but unfortunately nothing was there to capture with camera. Mobile phone camera is enough. Some one can skip this place to save time and energy.

Fun place to hang out with family or friends...Good spot for a friends reunion. Although there's some construction going on there rt now..there are places to enjoy and flowers to look out for. There's an old playground, too,but be careful while getting onto them.

I visited at night, the stepped garden with Colorful fountains at each step. Light and sound show at the top, which is a delight to watch. Fountains at each step varry, and all are beautiful with different colors and patterns. Its recommend to visit during evening so as to witness the beautiful garden during daytime as well as at night time

I just loved the place. During the rainy season we have to visit to enjoy the beauty of it.One worst thing about it is Parking and non availability of public transportation. The Mysore Transport and the Brindavan garden team has to look into it seriously.

A very big and colourful park. Brindavan garden is a very huge place. It has a big park and variety of plants and flowers. Very well maintained. Has small fountains in every corner. The boat ride is a complete fun and the place comes alive at night because of the musical fountain where the water fountains dances in tune with the music and the lights that change with tunes is a treat to watch.

Lovely place and musical fountain. Very well maintained place with pleasant scenario. You can enjoy the water fountain show at 6.30 pm. That is a nice place to capture lot of memories. Try to visit once if you are in Mysore. It is located 16km from city centre.

Very beautiful place, perfect for sunset visit and witness the lights and musical fountains.. Huge parking lot and very well maintained gardens with toilets and food.. Bit disappointed as the lights and music were not matching in live show, seems like few lights were not functioning.. While since childhood it has been our favourite, apparently nothing has been changed to keep ahead of the times and has risk of being ignored soon.. will be nice to see some coming of the age changes in the light show..

While the garden is good, the infrastructure of the fountains, the water ponds are in a completely dilapidated state. An amazing fountain show experience here! Initially we took a lot of time to find the place since Google maps wasn’t showing the right path! We went on a weekend and it was completely crowded and had difficulty walking amidst the crowd! The musical fountain show was extremely amazing. Lights were really good too. It lasted only for 10 minutes. There are shows every 30 minutes interval. Overall a good experience!

  • 4/5 Richarts P. 4 months ago on Google
Beautiful garden but really dirty. People visiting the place lack a sense of cleanliness and it shows in heaps of garbage around the park. The star attraction is of course the musical fountain and it's really good. The audience stands mesmerized for the 15 mins the show lasts. Do visit and if you can, try not to litter.

👍 We actually planned to go to KRS dam but the police over there said, "nobody is allowed on top of the dam except VIP and maintenance people." So he recommended that we go to the back waters. From the main road it takes at least 20 mins to reach here. The drive is a bit off road, so plan accordingly...
