Cubbon park is a place preserving thousands of trees around. The atmosphere is filled with the voices of different types of birds. This one is a great place for morning joggers and it's give you a very peace mind when u get in the place. It is even good for photography and photoshoots. The reddish color for the central library in between the greens all around is a soothing view to the eyes. There are a lot of books and there is a bus which has hundreds of books. Many people come around to walk by with pets and reading books is something really good. A cool study environment and great infrastructure makes it a heaven for book lovers.

In my 18 yrs in Bangalore i feel bad that i did not do this earlier. I spent about 2.5 hours. The first hour i spent in the dog park. Initially i was worried about taking my pet there however over time realized it's a good place to be and the owners are very friendly. The temperament of the animals differ but the owners are very understanding. Good place to socialize your dog. Post that we went to another open section of the park and spent some time playing with the kids. Had a great time.

They don't allow any vehicles to enter till 8 am that make this place, the bets location in the center of the this IT city Bangalore. I could easily do 5 K run in single loop as the park is very big. it has lot of entrance and is well connected too.

A beautiful park located in the central Bengaluru and it’s got its own metro station stop. The park is really beautiful and got different segments, guided pathways for the joggers, runners and the people who take walks. Any early morning weekdays would be a perfect time to visit this park, since it gets crowded during weekend. The park is dog friendly, you can get your bicycle as well. You often see group of people trying to do some skit, community out reach things or some photo shoot kinda things… Some of them even come for picnics or just to hangout. It’s sad that despite of keeping the bins at every reasonable point, you could see the plastic bottles, plates, tissues littering on the floor and around the bins but not inside the bins. It’s high time to for public to be more responsible towards these public property and act reasonable and human when they are inside such beautiful places.

See if you can take off your footwear and walk on the green grass , you will enjoy it. On Sunday’s it’s no vehicles so enjoy your walk. Have a good time and do like the review.

Cubbon Park in Bangalore is a lush oasis in the heart of the city, offering a serene escape. The park's well-maintained greenery, jogging paths, and diverse flora create a tranquil atmosphere. It's an ideal spot for nature lovers and those seeking a peaceful retreat from urban hustle. The iconic architectural landmarks within, like the State Central Library and High Court, add cultural richness. However, managing the park's cleanliness during peak hours can be challenging. Overall, Cubbon Park stands as a vital green lung for Bangalore, providing a refreshing blend of nature, culture, and recreational opportunities.

Cubbon Park, officially called Sri Chamarajendra Park[1] is a landmark 'lung' area of Bengaluru city, located (12.97°N 77.6°E) within the heart of the city in the Central Administrative Area. Originally created in 1870, when Major General Richard Sankey was the then British Chief Engineer of Mysore state, it covered an area of 100 acres (0.40 km2) and subsequent expansion has taken place and the area reported now is about 300 acres (1.2 km2).[2] It has a rich recorded history of abundant flora and fauna plantations coupled with numerous impressive and aesthetically located buildings and statues of famous personages, in its precincts. This public park was first named as Meade’s Park after Sir John Meade, the acting Commissioner of Mysuru in 1870 and subsequently renamed as Cubbon Park after the longest-serving commissioner of the time, Sir Mark Cubbon. To commemorate the Silver Jubilee of Sri Krishnaraja Wodeyar’s rule in Mysore State, in 1927, the park was again renamed as Sri. Chamarajendra Park, in memory of the 19th-century ruler of the state Sri Chamarajendra Wodeyar (1868–94), during whose rule the park came into existence.[5] The landscaping in the park creatively integrates natural rock outcrops with thickets of trees, massive bamboos, with grassy expanse and flowerbeds and the monuments within its limits, regulated by the Horticulture Department of the Government of Karnataka. The predominantly green area of the park has many motorable roads, and the well-laid-out walking paths running through the park are frequented by early morning walkers and the naturalists who study plants in the tranquil natural environment.[5] Tourists visiting this park in the city of Bengaluru have nicknamed the city itself as 'Garden City'.[6] The importance of the park to the city's environment is best stated by two urban architects who have won the national competition to design 'Freedom Park'. The park is accessible from M.G. Road, Kasturba road, Hudson Circle and Ambedkar Veedhi (Road). The motorable roads which run through the park are allowed for light motor vehicles only. All locations of the park are accessible through walking paths. The Park is open to the public at all times but the roads around the park are closed for traffic from 5:00 to 8:00 am every day to provide more safety and fresh environment for morning walkers and exercisers.Indigenous and exotic botanical species found in the park are about 68 genera and 96 species with a total of around 6000 plants/trees. Indigenous species found in the park are:[8]artocarpus, cassia fistula, ficus, polyalthias etc., and exotic species such as araucaria, bamboo, castanospermum australe, grevillea robusta, millettia, peltophorum, schinus molle, swietenia mahagoni, tabebuia. sp etc. Amongst the ornamental and flowering exotic trees lining the roads in the park are the Grevillea robusta (silver oak)—the first oaks introduced to Bangalore from Australia[5]—and the delonix or the gulmohar tree (bright red flowers with long petals) along the Cubbon road in the park, which is a widely cultivated tropical ornamental tree around the world. The formal gardens, from the central hall of the original Attara Kacheri (means 18 government offices) now the Karnataka High Court, extends along the ceal promenade developed symmetrically with avenues, to the Museum building. Another impressive artistic structure is Iyer Hall, which houses the Central Library with a rose garden as a frontage. It is undisputedly the largest public library in the state as evidenced by the college students thronging to read here, and has the world's most extensive collection of Braille books. Other buildings located within or at the periphery of the park are 1) the Indira Priyadarshini Children’s Library, 2) the Venkatappa Art Gallery, 3) the Aquarium (stated to be the second largest in India), 4) the YMCA, 5) Yuvanika — the State Youth Centre, 6) Century Club, 7) Press Club, 8) Jawahar Bal Bhavan, 9) Tennis Pavilion, 10) the Cheshire Dyer Memorial Hall and 11) the Ottawa Chatter. The Preservation Act, 1979 passed by the Go

Very Nice place to spend for family, couples, children & also with pets. A special designated compounded park is available only for pet dogs which is really awesome. Recommending everybody to mark your car parked area before get into the park as there are lot of area & gates which may confuse us to come out.

The best park in Bangalore. Enough said. Very pet friendly. Great place to skate, walk and just sit around on the grass and relax. Recommend going here on Sundays when they seal off the park to traffic - it's very peaceful, yet lively then. Do visit the dog park if you enjoy the company of pets.

Stunning greenary. Literally the city's lungs filled with beautiful trees and plants. There is always something in bloom at anytime of the year. Beautiful and well maintained rose garden in front of the state central library. Fantastic place to go for a morning walk before the sun beats down on you. Lots of people come here to walk their dogs in the morning too. Parking is available just outside the main gates of the park. All in all a wonderful place to spend a few hours.

One of the biggest parks I have been to. The park is huge with a wife variety of trees. State Library of Karnataka-Central Library is within the park premises. One can find people practicing Yoga, Martial Arts, Painting all throughout the park. Plenty of places to sit and spend time with your loved ones. Cyclists are allowed inside the park only after 8:00 AM on all days. The park gets crowded during early morning and weekends. Paid parking of vehicles is available around the park premises.

Spread over an area of 300 acres, Cubbon Park in the city of Bangalore is a major sightseeing attraction rich in green foliage. It is a green belt region of the city and is an ideal place for nature lovers and those seeking a calm atmosphere. Having been laid down by Lord Cubbon, the park is named so in his honour. It is home to more than 6,000 trees that support a vibrant ecosystem. Timings : 6:00 AM - 6:00 PM (Closed on Mondays and Second Tuesdays of Every month.) Strictly for morning walkers: 6:00 AM - 8:00 AM Time Required : 1 - 2 hours Entry Fee : Free (one of the reason for 5th ⭐)

Cubbon Park is a wonderful place for its multifarious options. It has place for walking, jogging, running, and even for cycling. You can play badminton, could also play with Frisbee and many similar games because of the available space for all these activities. It has a huge open area and there are a lot of people who come here and do their physical or mental activities. But recently the management has put a restriction for cycling before 8:00 o'clock in the morning. You can take the cycle inside only after 8 am, but the restrictions do not apply for kids, it can be taken at any time. You can even exercise and do yoga over here. It is full of greenery and the place lies at the heart of the city. But the surrounding areas have a lot of traffic around the park due to its popularity and UB city is also near to the place. Overall a must visit place for everyone. It is very well maintained as well. But there is one negative point, I found was that the guards are not well trained of this place who creates problems for new people who comes from the other states. It should be taken care well because this place is also a tourist destination and tgey should be welcoming in nature rather than unwelcoming. Hope they will understand this concern and will improvise on it. There is one last thing which I want to add on to is that there is washrooms here near the Gate no.7 on fish canteen side where you can pay and use washroom and even there is a drinking water facilities available here in the area. Hope the review is helpful.

In side the park also have separate building for learning which called Bangalore library for the reading books. It's totally. What sets it apart is not only its historical charm but also the fact that it offers a rich botanical experience at the heart of the city. The park, established in 1870, boasts a wide array of plant species, making it a botanical haven. Cubbon Park is a very famous park in Bangalore and hence the place is mostly crowded. Even though the park is situated in the heart of the city, the place serves as an ideal spot for anyone who loves to escape from the hustles of busy traffic of the city! The expansive area of the park covering many acres of land, the large number of trees and plants, the walking trails, the dedicated pet friendly area, the kids play area and all makes it popular among people of all age groups. Location & Accessibility: Easily accessible via Metro as it is just a 5 minutes walk from the Cubbon Park metro station. Picnic spot: Ideal picnic spot for a day with friends or family since there are no restrictions for taking outside food into the park. Entry fees: Free entry Timings: Morning 6am till Evening 6pm Parking: Somewhat difficult to find free parking slots On the whole, Cubbon Park is a place which you would love if you would like to spend a day peacefully walking or reading or spending time with friends or family in an open space..but if you wanna explore a place with more activities, it is not a good choice since there is nothing much to explore here.

Big and beautiful park with lots of greenery around. They don't have any entry fee. One can roam around walking or on cycles. Also good for running, jogging, playing games or simply talking your pets on a walk. They also have state central library. Photography using professional camers is prohibited but can click pictures using phone. Karnataka High Court is located on backside with beautiful staircase entry.

Really impressed by how well-maintained this public park is. The huge trees provide ample shade, and there's no sound of vehicles entering, just the delightful chirping of birds. People can bring their dogs here to walk and have fun, while children come to play and others can cycle. The park is impeccably clean with no dirt in sight. However, please remember to bring your own water, as there aren't any proper water-selling shops in the park.

This place is definitely one of the best in Bengaluru! A must visit! It's such a good place to visit.. it was definitely refreshing to the soul! A beautiful picture of people doing a variety of activities is captured in my mind! People doing yoga, parents playing with their kids, kids riding bicycles, teens learning to skate, kids climbing trees, squirrels running about, couples sitting under a tree, kids blowing bubbles, etc etc! ♥️ And there's an antique looking library in the centre of the park..

Very few clicks shared here. One of the best place in Bangalore. We went there to spend for spending a half day with kids. They enjoyed a lot. On weekends, you can find many pets also come there. Kids enjoyed playing with them. Reached in early hours of the day in morning. You can have many eateries outside the gates whenever you want to have something for kids.

This is a best place for morning joggers in Bengaluru. It brings a sense of calmness. Spending some quality time here in the morning is a bliss. On weekends, this place is very crowded. It is even another great option for wedding photography and other occasions. You can come here, have a walk and take rest in between. There's something for everyone here and this is one must visit place.

The place is really a good one to get relaxed and refreshed after a busy week specially in early morning time. You may also enjoy some cultural performances during weekends. It also provides you cycling opportunity for free of cost. (you nee to submit an id proof as a security to get a cycle and take it back when you return it). One more interesting fact about this place is that if you are visiting it on Sunday, you may also enjoy the sight of a variety of pet dogs playing and roaming. Some of the dogs are even styled be it clothes or their hairs :p. Overall, its a must visit place if you are in Bangalore and want to refresh yourself.

Sunday walks with a good friend, a book or your own company. I walked around in this abundant paradise listening to Modern Wisdom and met a friend. We walked for a few hours without even realizing. The trees will take your breath away. And the crowd is just amazing. Some lovely people and their doggos. Do check out Airlines Cafe for a nice breakfast or catch a brunch after. Lovely sunday. You'll probably find me with a book every weekend.

Nice historical park with monuments of Queen Victoria and her son Prince Edward. Lots of information written on the monuments in four different languages, English being one of them. I also found it interesting that the trees had placards on them detailing the species and origins of it. Great architecture in the parking as well with the original Parliament building built while under British rule and the more elaborate, newer parliament building built by the people of India after gaining independence from British rule. I loved the huge statue of Gandhi sitting in lotus position meditating.

Beautiful park in the middle of the city yet so much like a dense forest in some areas and manicured park in the other. Very systematically decided the sections and walking paths. The big broad road which cuts the entire park in two parts. Right in the centre there is an old library building surrounded by a rose garden. At least hundreds of varieties of roses in all colours and sizes. It was a sight to cherish. Cannot forget that view with hundreds of roses in front. In one of the path way you find a cluster of temples which includes Shiva Temple, Devi Temple, Navgrah Temple, Hanuman Temple and few others. The walking path had many many people of all ages for morning walks. In the lawn area you find groups doing yoga and other physical fitness activities. The Cubbon park was crowded at 6.30 am. City seems to be awake fully at that hour in that park. Needless to say that it houses a variety of botanical magic. Many clusters of bamboo shoots plus many many thick fat old trees .. Can not forget the sight of sunrise I witnessed from the between the branches of a tree. It was awesome.

Covid update: - The park is open between 7AM - 10 AM and 4 PM to 7 PM (I'm not very sure about the morning time slot) - You're not allowed to sit in the park, just walk, and there are guards/a guy with a loudspeaker walking around to enforce this

I visited Cubbon Park in last year, It was amazing to be here. I was not expecting a large park in the city center but found it most peaceful place in Bangalore. It is well maintained and took me away from noise of city, Birds were chirping, lush green environment, colorful trees, sprinklers watering the grass, fountains etc increases its beauty and took a person to another level of enjoyment. thank you.

Nice experience to spend quality time on the outdoors after almost 10 months! But, it would be safe to have the visitors' temperature checked at least, until the situation becomes 100% normal. Heard that, starting Jan 2021, the park is going to be open completely, as it was prior to Covid-19. I hope, the respective team takes care of the necessary precautions on the spot!

It's a great place to jog, walk or just sit and admire the green. I saw children aged 6-7 , jog in groups, seemed like they were having lot of fun. There were groups doing yoga, pilates, strength training and also a laughing group. These were pets of all sizes. Quite a few parrots and other birds. It's huge, so you can actually sit without people hearing what you are speaking. It's a degree or two cooler than on the roads.

It is home to more than 6,000 thousand trees, providing the city with fresh and cool air. There are a lot of rides for kids, adults and parents. A big Skatepark and water boating fun. Good place for a family day out. Situated in Central Bangalore, it is one of the biggest parks in the city. It is home to a lot of different species of flora and fauna. The ambience is breathtaking. You almost forget that you are in the center of a metro city. This place has a lot of history associated with it and there are some very old trees here as well. You can practice cycling, walking, skating or just relax under the trees.

Cubbon Park, also known as Sri Chamarajendra Park is a very reputed landmark of Bengaluru city. It is situated within the heart of the city - accessible from M.G. Road, Kasturba road, Hudson Circle and Ambedkar Road. All locations of the park are accessible through walking paths. It is regulated by the Horticulture Department of the Government of Karnataka. This park was created in 1870 and named as Meade’s Park after Sir John Meade. Sir Meade was the acting Commissioner of Mysuru. Later the park was renamed as Cubbon Park after the longest-serving commissioner of the time, Sir Mark Cubbon. In 1927, the park was again renamed as Sri Chamarajendra Park, in memory of the 19th-century ruler of the state Sri Chamarajendra Wodeyar (1868–94), during whose rule the park came into existence. Attara Kacheri, The State Archeological Museum and Seshadri Iyer Memorial Hall are the historical buildings within the Cubbon Park. Attara Kacheri has been transformed into the High Court of Karnataka in Bangalore. And Seshadri Iyer Memorial Hall now become the Seshadri Memorial Library governed by State Library Authority.

Cubbon park, located within the heart of Bengaluru city, is a must visit place for nature lovers, skateboard, roller skate and fitness enthusiasts alike. It is spread over 100 acres and has a very lush green cover, with variety of plants. Out of the multiple entrances, one near High Court and another near Press Club has car / bike parking space. Many people come to learn and enjoy cycling, skateboarding and roller skates. There is a jogging / walking path - but I found it to be too hard. Not comfortable for running. There are regular tar roads, which are way better for jogging / running. Because of the green cover, many different species of birds make it a home. There are few juice stalls within the park and at the entrance gates you can find few more options. So overall a must visit place for families with kids, people with similar sports interests and couples alike

Cubbon Park is a tranquil oasis in the bustling city of Bangalore. Its lush greenery, well-maintained pathways, and diverse flora make it a perfect escape for nature lovers. The park's historical significance adds to its charm. However, it can get crowded on weekends, so visit during weekdays for a more peaceful experience. Overall, it's a must-visit for those seeking respite from the urban chaos.

The decades old tree that are huge, grass to sit and enjoy, sprinklers all across, benches to sit make the park a wonderful place to spend quality time with friends and family.

Lovely and lively. I went in the morning to walk. It was well subscribed. Lots and lots people were there enjoying themselves walking, running and generally looking after themselves. It has lots of open spaces and huge place to walk. Three issues . Cleanliness. People were throwing things around and loads of plastic wrappers were around. Second parking. Morning parking was free and haphazard. Three. The garden itself. Someone with some sense of landscaping could be employed. Maybe someone in power could address these. The above notwithstanding an amazing place to visit and walk.

Toy train is great attraction equally for adults and children which runs with biofuel. It's a calm place for morning walk /run even people take dogs for a walk but walks are allowed in morning. In cubbon park lot of runs are conducted for several causes. If you visit this place you can also have a look at aquarium which is located near to it. Overall a great place to spend your weekend with family or friends. Cubbon Park was originally created by Major General Richard Sankey, in 1870, during his time as the Chief engineer of the Mysore State. Initially, the bandstand was located in a rose garden. Officially inaugurated in 1918, the Mysore Infantry Band performed there every Wednesday and Saturday, while the Madras Pioneer Group performed on the fourth Thursday of every month. The latter also put up a grand show there in 1927 to commemorate the silver jubilee of Nalwadi Krishnaraja Wadiyar’s rule. Even the Royal Air Force band played here

We have always known of this place tagged with "must visit places in Bangalore" and that is very true. The cubbon park has been the tourist attraction since a very long time. It has a big, beautiful green park, luscious walking path and the children's park. There is a pretty big aquarium in the first floor of the entrance. The entry fee are pocket friendly hardly costs around Rs. 30/- for two people. The children's park is the main attraction, it will be the best leisure for the them. The famous toy train and the crocodile lake it passes through. The kids will love it. Cubbon park is couple friendly and it is not attached to the kids play area. It also is a good picnic spot.

This place has a great history. "A MUST VISIT" Bring your furry family and the puppers here. They would love to be here for a chit chat with other canines while you can hang out with your pals. 😁 One day isn't enough to visit the whole park. A very good place for an amazing morning start. Learnt a lot about the history the park holds along with information about the plant growth. There are clean washrooms almost everywhere inside. No food carts but one can get the fresh juices stalls here. A picnic spot, A nature walk Kids time Dog park Everythg you can find here. Weekends are usually crowded.

One of the biggest park in Bangalore which is located at the heart of the city. Large landscape, lush greenery and beautiful mountain ⛰ rocks. One full day is required to explore completely. If someone need a break and spend some time away from the city hustle-bustle, this park is ideal.

Head here only if you have time on your hands and have nothing better to do. The park is a welcome sight in a city like Bangalore but it could be better maintained. Although there are signs stating that outside food and toys like balls, rackets not allowed, you will find loads of people eating food and playing with the ball. How? Just pay the security guys at the entrance. We saw this first hand wherein a girl carrying food was asked to keep her food at the entrance and after a verbal exchange between them, there was monetary exchange and she picked up her bag of food and strolled in!

I've always heard about people talk about cubbon park as a must go to place if your visiting bangalore...now after I've finally settled in bangalore decided to go there with my girlfriend...it was a good place to have a walk ..decently crowded....i was expecting couples sitting at every other corner..but found families and kids playing and overall a good atmosphere...if you want to have a walk or play badminton u can go here.

Such beautiful place. Best time to visit would be morning to noon. Avoid coming here after 2.00 pm as the picnic croud builds up. Do not carry Plastic bottles and polythene bags to the park. Please do not litter

  • 3/5 Arunuday S. 3 years ago on Google
Overall it was a good experience to hangout specially during Covid. The kids play area was closed. The good part was the greenery around and natural sheds you get from the trees all around. You will not feel the heat because of these. Its huge in size with lot of cultural activities on public holidays and weekends. You can easily spend 2/3 hours there. But do not expect it to be as cozy as Lalbagh( this is for new lovebirds). Bad part was it has a horriblly small parking and no other options. Just park on Kasturba road and wait the vehicle to be towed away. This was one of the busiest, biggest parks in the city and till date Govt did not make any parking arrangements (may be purposefully).best is to go in public transport.

You can also use Metro station Cubbon park to reach here, hardly 50mt distance from metro exit gate. And as usual just like any other park, its also not clean, we human being have thrown lot plastic bottles and wrappers. If you reading this comment and planning to visit Cubbon park please make sure you are not going through waste. Thanks

Nice peaceful place to be specially in the middle of the city. I am die hard Mumbaikar and it was really pleasant to see such green space here too. Dogs and pet animals are allowed. Go with the pets as they are gonna have an awesome day running around. The parking is an issue. Do not park your two wheeler outside the main gate as it is no.parking area. the traffic police are really active there and got my vehicle picked up. Dunno maybe they are working on some target oriented thing. Other nothing to complain off. Be there. Enjoy the nature and peace.

Top Park in Bangalore. It's located in the City centre and some other Bangalore attractions like Vidhanasoudha is just opposite to this park. If you're interested in jogging in the morning or walking even for cycling it's good. Park is surrounded by beautiful trees and flower gardens. Best suited for couples to spend some time and this place is usually very much crowded all the time especially on weekends which is a bit of cons because you will not get that peace and calm environment that time. Apart from that this park is really good and you can take some beautiful clicks as well since this place is a photogenic one. There is no entry fee at all, it's completely free for visitors. Park has Karnatakas Central Library block inside and Karnatakas High Court too just situated beside of it. Well maintained and clean park of course.

Nice place to visit with friends and family. The greenery is awesome. Streched over a big land mass in the middle of Bengaluru. This is actually described as lung of Bengaluru. Peaceful and beautiful. Although, not to expect a lot of artificial structures and play zones. I could see ponds, children park, big rocks. Its clean and has entry/exit at many points. The maintenance is commendable.

One of the best places in Bengaluru for morning, evening walk and enjoying time among greenary. Well maintained. Some gates get closed after 9/9.30am morning walk time so you may have to come out through an alternative gate from where you entered!. State Library is also inside the park area. Surely recommend to visit Cubbon Park if you are in Bengaluru (Bangalore). There is a separate area for Sunday Dog Park where owners can bring dogs and they can socialize.

The park is surely big, you can come here for around 6-8 hours and walk the whole place. Might want to bring a mat if you're coming on a weekend. As the seating areas will be occupied. Though it also depends on the timing, upto 10 am there's the morning walkers crowd, then school/college bunkers begin to come and it'll become noisier. I'm the places we went to, we could only find two tables with benches around them. The park is divided with roads in between so you'll have to use the maps that are there next to each gate to figure out where you are and where you are headed to.

Cubbon Park, officially known as Sri Chamarajendra Park is a landmark 'lung' area of Bengaluru city, located (12.97°N 77.6°E) within the heart of the city in the Central Administrative Area. Originally created in 1870, when Major General Richard Sankey was the then British Chief Engineer of Mysore state, it covered an area of 100 acres (0.40 km2) and subsequent expansion has taken place and the area reported now is about 300 acres (1.2 km2). It has a rich recorded history of abundant flora and fauna plantations coupled with numerous impressive and aesthetically located buildings and statues of famous personages, in its precincts. Chamarajendra Park, in memory of the 19th-century ruler of the state Sri Chamarajendra Wodeyar (1868–94), during whose rule the park came into existence. The landscaping in the park creatively integrates natural rock outcrops with thickets of trees, massive bamboos, with grassy expanse and flowerbeds and the monuments within its limits, regulated by the Horticulture Department of the Government of Karnataka. The predominantly green area of the park has many motorable roads, and the well-laid-out walking paths running through the park are frequented by early morning walkers and the naturalists who study plants in the tranquil natural environment. Tourists visiting this park in the city of Bengaluru have nicknamed the city itself as 'Garden City'. The importance of the park to the city's environment is best stated by two urban architects who have won the national competition to design 'Freedom Park'.

Lovely place to visit. Huge area with beautiful garden. Consists of huge old trees as well as manicured garden with seasonal plants as well. It looks so pretty and refreshing, you feel like staying back. It's called the lung of Bengaluru for a reason.

One of the most famous landmarks of Bangalore, the Vidhana Soudha houses the State Legislature and the Secretariat of Karnataka. The magnificent white building is spread over 60 acres of land and boasts of Mysore Neo-Dravidian architecture and has incorporated various elements of Indo-Saracenic and Dravidian Styles. It is also the largest Legislative building of India. It was built over a period of five years from 1951-56, and was conceptualized by Kengal Hanumanthaiah. The foundation stone was laid for Prime Minister Pandit Jawaharlal Nehru.

It's a great place to distance and rejuvenate yourself from all the noise and traffic and frustration you get while you are in Bangalore. You can sit in the plam of nature, surrounded by trees and greenery and enjoy your own company in solace. It's also a good place to take a walk with your friend or date and you can take quite a long one. And I appreciate how the management has kept the park clean by enacting some basic ground rules for the public. Just outside the park you have the state parliament building across the road which also looks pretty good.

Great place for Sunday evening stroll and for kids to explore the nature and natural beauty. It's such an old place stand straight with its heritage since British era. One can feel this by touching the trees. The numbering on each tree shows how many they exist with patience, love and hard work. The best thing of the park is maintenance and the showcase of the oldest trees that is no more through gallant wooden sculpturing on it, surely it's a great respect and value towards the trees and mother nature. We love to visit cubbon park frequently for our daughter. She also enjoys visiting here.

Arguable one of the best (if not the best) park in the city. Plenty of area of explore and walk around. Will take easy 3 hours to walk the whole park. Lots of legendary trees and flowers, picnic areas, play area for kids and adults, historic sites, flora and fauna are great. Exceptionally maintained and clean surroundings. Peaceful and scenic for all ages. Public restrooms are also available. Parking might be an issue. No vendors allowed inside. There’s small food vendors outside the park.

Recently, I went to Cubbon Park to go jogging. In the centre of the city, there is a sizable park with plenty of vegetation. This park included lots of eye-catching statuary and water features, making it enjoyable to stroll through. Many individuals arrived with their puppies. Visit this place in the morning if you are interested in fitness.

A huge and beautiful garden at the middle of the city to spend some time with friends and family. A large children's park is also there to spend time with your little ones. The toy train in this park is famous and too crowded outside to get a ticket for the same. The Park is surrounded by Museums, Bengaluru high court, cricket stadium, etc. You can sit on rocks or tables made in the Garden. Various food stalls are available at the entry gate which you can eat inside, but don't throw your garbage inside.

Cobbon Park is a green oasis in the middle of the buzzing city that's growing to be another concrete jungle . The main roads were blocked for traffic when I visited to facilitate walkers and joggers. Hundreds of age old trees provide a green carpet above, and a variety of chipping birds make walking / jogging a very memorable experience.

The lush greenery and vibrant colors create a picturesque setting that brings immense joy. People basically go there in a group to read books , paint, story telling, doing stand up comedy, yoga , etc. Inside that park you can also see the library, high court, bidhansodha etc.The calming sounds of chirping birds and the gentle rustling of leaves provide a soothing escape from the hustle and bustle of everyday life.

One of my favourite places in Bengaluru. A must visit! The best time to actually visit and enjoy the park is during weekday mornings (till about 8 am) - you just have the regular walkers / joggers, fitness enthusiasts, and nature lovers. Over the weekends there is a surge of people and the quiet, peaceful environment of the park gets disturbed.
