One of the best South Indian food in Delhi NCR. The prices could have been slightly lower. I had Mix Veg Uttapam it was tiny but taste was up to the mark, and the chutneys were tasty.

This is a Tamil style South Indian restaurant. A lot of menu options at reasonable rate. Food is good. Try to order smaller qty items as it may be more than you think/can eat. Thali has many items. All pre-served. Only drawback is: items will be cold by the time you finish the thali. Try to reach around 12:30 for lunch to avoid waiting. A lot of authorised parking available nearby.

The last time I visited this place was almost 5 years ago. Luckily we didn't have to wait as long to get inside this time, and we were quickly served with water and our order taken. The food was good but mt favourite was the milk mysorepak, although the ghee mysorepak is worth sampling as well. The dosas were crisp and the thali amazing.

I went there for lunch with my family, being a holiday we had to wait for 25 minutes, though our cribbing went away the moment we tasted our food. We ordered rasam papad, masala dosa, chettinad dosa, ghee paper roast masala, coconut rava masala dosa, badam halwa, mango icecream and strawberry icecream. Everything about this place is awesome except for the waiting. Great Taste, good quantity, value for money and above all good service staff(Don't forget to tip them). A solid 5/5.

One of the staples for South Indian flavors. We went there in the morning around 9 and there was no queues. The quality of the food is amazing. The service is amazing as well. Food comes in about 15 mins after ordering. I really loved their paratha, medu vada, and badam milk. A must visit place for all south indian food lovers.

I never had such tasty South Indian food before and even after, I have been here many times and their taste and quality is at the top, they take care of hygiene. The way they serve on a tree leaf gives a feeling of South Indian. I have never seen this place empty, their is always a waiting line whenever I went their but all that wait is worth it when the food is served on our table. lace is always busy.so you can expect little waiting but I'm assuring you that its worth waiting. The staff is nice and vibe is really calm where you can enjoy your food…!

We ordered Rava Onion masala dosai and masala dosai along with filter coffee. Everything was good except for the Rava dosai, it was not properly cooked from middle and I got a lump of raw batter of rava which I didn't like. Also the restrooms aren't clean, no one would expect to use a unisex restroom in such a famous chain of restaurants.

Authentic South-Indian Restaurant. They have some different dishes in their menu, which you do not normally find in the south Indian restaurants. The service was quick, despite the fact that the restaurant was fully occupied. The staff is friendly.

A budget friendly family South Indian restaurant. Pros: One of the Best South Indian food can be found here. Pocket friendly. Nice ambience. Service is fast. Friendly staff. Opens at 8AM , so all day menu is available. Cons: Usually crowded, so be ahead of time. Else you might have to wait in a long queue.

Excellent food options. Recently I stayed at the Hotel. We were served excellent breakfast. Here in this restaurant, the staff is friendly n specially Chef KAILASH CHANDER has a great quality to attend guests brilliantly. He makes it sure n takes complete care of guests. He tries his best fullfill the demands of the guests. And we also enjoyed the PUNJAB FESTIVAL here. The Punjabi cuisine was done by a great CHEF SWEETY SINGH JI. Each n every dish was made with his heart n soul. Guys must go to restaurant for amazing authentic punjabi food made by Chef SWEETY SINGH JI.

OMG!! what a taste they have. I went to this place on the weekend with my family and after reaching there I saw that there are more than 50 people waiting in the queue for their number to come. So by reading this, you can guess how delicious the food they serve. I was also waiting in the queue for my turn to come, I almost waited there around 1-1.30 hours. But after waiting for so long I finally got a seat and I ordered the food, after having a bite it was worth waiting here. The place is highly recommended for South Indian lovers. Must try - Cold Coffee, Ghee Roast Masala Dosa, Panner Dosa, and Pody Idli. Ratings - Ambience 3/5, Food 4/5, Taste 5/5, Service 4/5 Overall it was a nice family-like place with delicious food, please don't order online because you will miss the real taste as while reaching your order the food gets cold and soggy. Suggestion to Restaurant - Please avoid these long queues as in summer it is really hot outside and it is very difficult to stand, So please try and help to sort out this thing

Waiting time was excruciatingly long. But the food here was worth the wait and hype. The chettinad dosa had a rich blend of flavors. The lime drink was refreshing. The place was tastefully decorated and hygienic and the service was efficient. Highly recommend it.

Delicious and authentic South Indian food. You'll have to wait for maybe 30 mins to get a seat but after that you'll really enjoy the South Indian cuisine. Make smart choices in the menu and you gonna enjoy it to the fullest.

Good place to have South Indian food, you may find waiting here so be patient. There sambhar is less salty, less spicy. U won’t find any big size vegetables swimming in it. Dosa is very soft can be separated with spoon easily.

Always jam-packed no matter what day of the week and what time of the day you plan a visit but once you get a table, you're in for a treat. Food is scrumptious, service is quick and ambience is... you wont really complain. Everything is prepared in desi ghee and it aint like any other south indian restaurant you've eaten in. Taste is their USP and that same taste makes people wait in queue for upto an hour just to get a table here. Try anything from their menu and yoh will NOT be disappointed. Some of my favs are mini idli dipped in ghee, rawa onion masala dosa, rawa kesari, buttermilk, and it just goes on. Prices are super nominal and you'll be surprised to look at the bill after feasting your hearts out. They also have a branch in Select Citywalk, Saket but im not sure about the taste as I've never eaten there. You Must eat here atleast once if you love south Indian.

Saravana Bhavan captivated me with its unparalleled popularity, evident in the extensive queue that formed outside the restaurant. The anticipation built during the wait was rewarded with a culinary experience that exceeded expectations. The standout dish, without a doubt, was the ghee dosas, a gastronomic masterpiece that added a layer of brilliance to the overall dining affair. While the thali offered a satisfactory variety, it was the Rava khichadi that left a lasting impression with its delightful and nuanced flavors. The establishment undeniably claims the title of the best South Indian restaurant in Delhi, boasting a culinary prowess that resonates with authenticity and quality. With a capacity to accommodate over 100 patrons simultaneously, Saravana Bhavan provides a spacious and vibrant dining atmosphere. However, a word of caution for weekend visits, where the popularity peaks and a wait of 45 minutes to an hour is likely. On other days, the waiting time is more manageable, ranging from 15 to 25 minutes, making it a convenient choice for those seeking a delectable South Indian feast in the heart of Delhi.

Authentic food from the south of India and in an ambience that soothes your pallette. This is a landmark place in Janpath and you will always find yourself waiting in a queue to enter this place, but you never regret once you are inside. You can get a variety of dosas including a few that have been twisted to suit the new generations. The filter coffee experience is worth trying and there are several side dishes that can be tasted at any time. The service is professional and precise, and the prices are very genuine. You will definitely leave as a satisfied customer.

If you want to experience authentic South Indian food this restaurant will never disappoint you. They took hygiene really very seriously so dont worry about this aspect as well. Staff is very professional They have some awesome seasonal Juice, shakes/smoothies, Sweets as well. If you are visiting for lunch after 2-2:30pm you can find 10-15 minutes waiting. Seating arrangements are also very comfortable. Apart from waiting most probably you will not find any other complaint, I visited so many times at least I never find any other complaint. I hope you will enjoy your time here.

No doubt food is good. Taste you get here is uncommon. If you are okay to wait for 30 to 45 minutes then you can visit otherwise you can skip this and go to nearby restaurants. Pricing of food items is at par with the peers.

From ambience to taste everything meets perfection. But Their menu in their webiste is outdated. Don't get fooled by it . The price is definitely on the higher end ! Tried their rava masala dosa and parotta set . Rava masala dosa was too good and parotta was just average . If u go in 3 or 4 or above, even in weekdays, u definitely have to wait for 15minutes. Think about weekends!

If you want to taste authentic South Indian dishes then this is the right place. Little crowded on weekends and you will have to wait for minimum 35 to 40 minutes. We tried Tamil Nadu thali ,Panchavarna Uthappam along with filter coffee . All the items and combination of spices used were balanced. I would say that a good place for South Indian food lovers. One suggestion to the management please check with the mobile companies as signal inside the restaurant is very weak and we faced issues while making the payment.

It's a very popular sout Indian restaurant situated in the heart of Delhi Cp-Janpath. It stays very busy all the time all 7 days morning to evening. The setup is very commercial, the furniture is old. But the staff seems to be catering all the rush quite well. The food is good. Quite authentic. The ambience is very average. The pricing is eye-openingly low. Overall a good experience.

If you are craving for south indian food, this is the place to go. One of the best experiences of the south indian food I had in terms of taste. The onion masala dosa, rava masala dosa and badam halwa are must try. The filter coffee is also good. Their service speed is really fast. Also, complimentary stuff including extra sambhar and chutney is in abundance. However, the place is seriously crowded at times and you may have to wait around 5-10 minutes, even more on occasions.

We came here for lunch and what a fantastic place to be. Food quality was good and served hot. Rs. 2185 per person was but worth. We started with soup and nachos, followed by paneer tikka. Main course was delicious too. We had home made masoor dal and matar paneer. Perfectly spiced and freshly served breads. Veg chowmein with selected veggies made fresh on order. Star desserts were Orange Dome and Chocolate Fudge. Welcome staff were polite and servers were attentive and suggestive. A perfect 5 star for food!

This place is good but with time they are not feeling quality of the food upto the mark. This place was know for its authentic taste and flavor but gradually it is downgrading. Queue management is still a challenge and so is the order taking process. Lot of improvement needs attention. The brand name is very famous and people get attract es here for the quality and taste they used to provide. They just need some extra focus on these two areas to being back the originality. Parking is mot a problem around this locality. The address is well known and situated in the heart of New Delhi.

This is the best place i have ever tried for southindian cuisines. They have wide range of south indian menu. Varities of dosa, upma, uttapam, idli, sooji halwa, coconut barfi and a lot more and serves mojitos and shakes to. Huge crowd and token system is there to have to first book your seat to enter to the resturant. Staffs are really helpful and make good recommendation. Price is really reasonable as compare to the quality. Best resturant to dine in if you are a south indian food lover.

Highly rated South Indian restaurant next to Janparth Market! The restaurant seems to be popular, there are many customers dining in and taking out. Its spacious and easy to find a vacant table. The staff is nice and attentive. The food is from South Indian with plenty of choices. South Indian food is quite spicy and salty compared to North Indian. I had the Thali which is quite a lot and filtered coffee. The price is fair, very good value. Recommend if you can eat spicy and little salty!

Ok restaurant, not worth the wait Overall an ok experience. The wait outside is painful and you can't be far from the person calling out the names else you'll not be able to hear. The food is average, the time to take order slow. Go there if you don't have to wait. Not worth even five minutes of waiting time go to another restaurant.

Had scrumptious meal at Food Exchange, Novotel Aerocity. Chef Mohammed Equbal from Hyderabad has specially flown to bring the authentic taste, create a gastronomic experience of the Royal Nizami food and make this Andhra & Telengana Food Festival possible. The festival is on till 30th June, do visit them to enjoy this special buffet and do not forget to try my fav Mutton Haleem. Started with Mutton Soup. It looked unusual but was delectable. I tried many other dishes like Pathar ka Gosht, Chepala Pulusu (Andhra Fish Curry), Bendakaya Pulusu (Okra in spicy tamarind curry), Khattidal (lentil curry), Paneer Tamatar ka Kut, Dum ka Murgh (Chicken Curry). Miriyala Mamsam (Mutton Curry) and Kacche Gosht ki Biryani (Mutton Biryani) were super delicious. All the desserts we tried were made to perfection. Sheer Kurma (Kheer) was yum, loved the Cheesecake. Coffee and Chocolate jar is a must try! #NovotelNewDelhiAerocity #AndhraFoodFestival For more updates join me on Instagram @love_yourself_love_life

I planned a special dinner with my partner on the occasion of Karwachauth. My sister suggested me to go to this place as his friend is working as a Manager.. His name is Rohit Lohani. As i entered the hotel Rohit sir was there to assist me and they guided us to ur booked table..He was very nice gentleman person with a positive vibe and a smiling face adds to the composure.. He also guided us to the location from where the moon was visible so that we can complete the puja and all rituals as per the festival.. He asked me what would we have for dinner.. i told him that me and my partner both are fasting so we don't want buffet.. so he suggested some veg dishes special without onion and garlic.. He was very supportive and very caring as he himself seved the dishes to us.. The food was so yummy and it tasted like food at home..Puri was so crispy and hot that we just loved each and every bite of the food.. After dinner we asked for some tea..Rohit sir himself made the Tea and the best part was that is was the best of all time..as i m big fan of chai so it was a blessing for me to have such a refreshing tea after fasting for whole day.. One of my best experience of all time. I will definitely come to enjoy the tasty food and super service of the food exchange restaurant. A ***** Star Rating from my 💓.

The Saravana Bhavan hotel is one of the most famous place to go to if you are looking for authentic South Indian dishes in the Connaught Place area in New Delhi. This place is usually very crowded and you might have to wait anywhere between 15 minutes to half an hour to get a table here. But the tasty food makes the waiting worthwhile. Prices are also genuine and cleanliness is taken care of well. Parking here is easy as it is located in the centre of the city. Adding some menu pics here for reference.

Saravana Bhavan used to be one of my favourite restaurant during my Chennai stint. So recently when I visited Delhi i couldn't stop myself trying yummy tiffins at SB Delhi. My usual takes here are Dahi vadas , variety uttapam, masala dosa platter and filter coffee. The taste of sambar and chutney is same I used to eat at Chennai .. Dosa was bit on softer side , wish it was crunchy. Rest everything tasted amazing. Would highly recommend dahi Vadas , variety uttapam and button idlis. My recent visit to this place was a culinary adventure. The masala dosa and idlis were both exceptional, with rich and flavorful fillings and a soft, fluffy texture that was a delight to the palate. The restaurant had a beautiful ambience that blended traditional and modern elements, creating a warm and welcoming atmosphere that was perfect for a relaxing meal. Although the service was good, it wasn't quite up to the high standards set by the food and the ambience. Overall, I would highly recommend this restaurant for its exceptional food and comfortable atmosphere.😃

Oh wow, it’s been years since I’ve eaten here but I can still remember just how utterly delicious the dosa was. This is a busy lunch & dinner spot for vegans hangin’ out in Connaught Place. The dosa & the chutneys are to die for, second only to the fantastic deal you get, very few rupee for a lot to eat. Saravana Bhavan, I will be back! Greetings from Philadelphia, USA!

RE RATING TO 3.5 from previous 5 stars FOOD : 4 STARS - We ordered a mini tiffin, masala dosa, mix veg Uttapam and a plate of idly with medu vada. These dishes were delicious. However, mix veg Uttapam seemed undercooked. We ordered tea along with the food and we were utterly disappointed. It tasted like railway station tea, not boiled properly, too much water in it. (We have had tea and coffee here before and the quality seems to have dropped down.) Also, I’ve reviewed the food here quite many times and it was always a 5 stars until today. SERVICE : 3 STARS - We went there at 9:30-10AM, the service was initially fine but once we were ready to re-order another dish, none of the staff was around. They weren’t looking even when I was standing in the middle of the restaurant. It’s always hard to call a staff to order here after 9:30 AM. The washrooms did not have a lock and weren’t clean.

A good place for authentic Dosai and food fusions. Though i think the place is gradually loosing the charm. For example The basundi was not that good as it used to be, sambhar also felt different from earlier. Still a good place to enjoy food with family. Please do try their dahi vada which is still delicious.

Just love their dosas. I visit this place regularly and love mostly everything. Their service levels have gone down a bit. The time it takes for the Dosa to be served after ordering has gone upto around 20 mins which is quite slow. Otherwise their taste is amazing.

Authentic South Indian Tamil Food. Very nice restaurant for south Indian dishes. There is always crowded and too much waiting always. But waiting is worth for food and taste. Quality and quantity is also good according to the price. Service is also very good. But one thing we found that on question about asking information of dishes waiter dosent give proper satisfactory answer. As I am not belong to south India I don't know much about their traditional dishes so whenever went there every time asking questions to waiter but never got satisfactory answers. Rest all OK. I am frequent customer. Keep it up.

It’s good please for Indian - Southern style food Location - nice location , but parking is Rs50 . So the target audience is higher / Middle income group or people who do not visit here weekly or daily. Food quality - it’s good quality . But could be much better in non dosa items. Food /Beverage - Non much selections in beverage , coffee cost is Rs 70 so bit pricy for daily customers . Dosa is awesome , and cost around 175 -225 .

Expensive... Mind it, it's just a SARAVANA BHAVAN! I had been with a friend to this restaurant, and the experience was ok. Its similar to any SARAVANA BHAVAN franchise. Only thing different was the pricing. The restaurant is huge, with multiple seating arrangements. These is an excellent menu to choose from, but it will definitely bleed your pockets. Food and service is amazing, as expected. Few minutes delay, as per norm for food preparation. Also, the food was grade 1 quantity. Worth a shot, if your pockets are deep.

The quality has been changed drastically. I have ordered 14 sambar idli and rawa masala dosa and I got shocked to see the quality of the food, I can't imagine that Saravana bhavan is doing like this specially after this pandemic. - The idli was not look like 14, it was less than 14 - The rawa masala dosa, masala quantity was less as compare my previous experience with Saravana. I have asked the serving person about where I can submit my feedback. However, he did not acknowledged that question and that was nice and a small smile on my face. I hope that in future they will work on their quality.

A decent, slightly expensive (not VFM) South Indian restaurant chain having around 50 branches all over the world (Singapore, middle East, USA etc). No reservation, first come first serve. Polite and helpful server. Decent service speed (slower than QSR but quite faster than gourmet restaurant) Take any dish and it is good. 100% vegetarian (no meat). Decent place for a quick family meal. Highly recommended.

Located in the heart of City - Connaught place. An idea place for having Pure veg meals - South Indian flavours are just mind blowing. Maintains hygiene , very clean environment, courteous & polite staff. Menu is very vast and comprehensive. They also have ethics, i once visited and was having lunch and got some bugs in my order, they let me have all meals any order and they order was on them, they even apologized for couple of times for the mistake that they made.

The dosas are amazing but the Meal Thali is not the best that I've had, especially if you're not South Indian. Chettinad and butter roasted are my personal favourite dosas and do try the mini ghee roasted idlis as well!!

I have been to saravana bhavan multiple times and my experience was really nice and love the was they had kept the hygiene standards but.......My Today's experience was way to bad, there was no social dissonanceing and the cutlery given to me was not clean, it had stains of food. The green and coconut chutney were not served with my dish as it was being prepared there and then. The nature of the staff was nice as usual and the coffee was great..... So keeping all the scenarios in mind I would rate it 2 stars for my today's experience for food and cleanliness . 3.5 stars for staff and there service....... Soon Will try it again update my reviews depending on my experience.......

The Buffet was mediocre! The soup and salad selection is good! The Indian food was awful. The Indian breads had to be ordered from the wait staff which took more than 15 minutes! By then the food was cold. The desserts were dry and they had no chocolate option for desserts! They had Indian desserts that looked too sweet so I skipped them. They had a family with kids who ran all over the restaurant disturbing all the patrons but the wait staff didn't stop them. Would I come here again? No. Would I recommend it. Certainly not! The buffet is Rs.1950 plus taxes. No value for money! The service staff is great! They did acknowledge my concern and brought me alternatives! The Restaurant Manager and service staff owned the problem!

One word fantabulous!! This place is a must to visit for fine dine and food lovers. One dish a must must try for the non vegetarian is lamb biryani along with hurakan fish it was out of the world , never have i ever had such delicacy and fine piece of masterpiece. For veg lovers you should try their baker vegetables along with Kadhai panner truly lip smacking. In the desert section always i repeat always go with the chocolate covered cake. Staff were well mannered trained and polite. A great experience.

Location - 5/5 Staff - 5/5 ( Staff was super nice specially our attendant ) Serving time - 5/5 ( Perfect ) Menu selection - 5/5 ( I think the menu was perfect and aimed towards perfection! It wasn’t extremely wide or extremely limited. Very well balanced ) Soup - 4/5 ( Soup was little salty for my taste ) Tea - 5/5 ( Relaxing ) Food quality - 5/5 ( Fish was great with fine texture and rich flavor ) Food quantity - 4/5 Ambience and interior - 4/5 ( It gets extremely crowded and noisy at buffet ) Sitting - 5/5 - I also order dal and mix vegetable with stuffed cheese naan. - I just tasted dal which was great and well balanced but nothing special. - Value for money - 4/5 - Staff is great but they need to be polite with each other in front of guest. ( Our attendant was taking order while his colleagues kept shouting for him which was kinda surprising ) - Rest was extremely professional. - Well balanced food at great price 👍🏽

Went to food exchange to celebrate my parents wedding Anniversary. From hospitality to food this place is not even close to a five star. The buffet spread is very limited and food was also cold. The ambience is not of a five star as the seating area looks age old and rather like a canteen. For the same price of buffet restaurants like Latest Recipe, Cilantro and etc are far superior on their service quality and food quality and this place does not match that league and is way behind. To top the poor service, food spread and ambience there are also not accustomed to celebrations because they did not let us cut the cake which have had got from outside. Ok, you may not be allowing outside food but cake? Ok, what happened to the hospitality? There is couple already at your place to celebrate their special day and this is how the place behaves? It is lack of training for the staff and also not learning from the other truely five star restaurants is a big downside of this place. So if you are in Delhi/NCR and want to celebrate your special day then please avoid this place.

Like our culture, our cuisine too is diverse and yet have similarities and great influence of surrounding regions. Assamese urban cuisine has influence of Bengal, Bihar and Orissa. Tribal cuisine has influence from neighboring counties like Burma, Thailand, and China. Gitika Saikia, the famous home chef from Bombay is doing an Assamese pop up at , Food Exchange, Novotel Pullman New Delhi. The rice flour crepe filled with chicken was outstanding appetizer and I equally enjoyed the boneless Katla fish balls. The star dish of the day was pork cooked with mustard leaves and duck cooked with tribal herbs. Even the masoor dal was outstanding. The entire meal was cooked in mustard oil with local herbs that she got from Assam. This is one festival which you can’t miss. Chef Neeraj Tyagi you have got the Midas touch my friend!. You have already got the ball rolling! #FoodExchangeBuffets #AssameseFoodFest #eatwithshylock #theurbanescapades #DesiConnosseurs #VicMan

(Translated by Google) Detailed rating3.9 Buffet at Novotel New Delhi Aerocity Hotel. We used for breakfast. A spacious and sophisticated space. Indian and Western food. The quality of the dishes is above a certain level. You can use it with peace of mind because only a solid customer base. The service level also allows you to experience first-class hotel services. On the morning of the second day about India, walking along the road caused a storm of horn. The dust was flying and it was full of exhaust gas. If you go to the station in New Delhi, only people who try to cheat the Japanese. I was impressed that it wasn't just that.

Did not meet expectations Went with family for buffet dinner. Being a vegetarians, I found the options quite less. Majorly the items available were Indian cuisine in buffet. Rest options available were sandwich, hot dog etc - though it's tasty but generally not apt for dinner. Humuss was not good and Indian snacks were cold. No soft drinks, juice or mocktail was made complimentary with buffet. Very less eggless options in dessert section. Service takes too much time to serve anything - even when more than 70% of hall was empty. Management should rethink to bring more public especially guests not staying in hotel

Very poor experience. Being an accor plus member I had pre booked my table at 9 PM. Instead I was given table for dinner at 10:15 PM. Food quality was not good and not at all justified the 1995 buffet rate (we were informed by staff that buffet charge is 999+taxes but at the time of billing we were told it is 1995+taxes).Water was not served for one of us on table. With such an exorbitant price service and food quality was not at all satisfactory. I will surely never go again nor recommend anyone. In fact feeling a fact cheated that I chose Accor Membership.

As it is there at New Delhi most of the visitors are north Indians, due to which they have done few changes in the masalas to match the North Indian taste buds. 25 % or more deviation from the Authentic Saravana bhavan taste. Filter coffee was excellent. Overall had a good time.

One of the best South Indian restaurant chain is spread across the world. All I mean it's a big name in South indian dishes at high quality place well decorated, neat and clean place, properly dressed waiters and take payment in all possible way of offline and online mode. You'll have to wait for at least 20-30 min if you came just walk in. Service are poor as all waiters are busy in service huge number of customers. I went there 3 times and realized that they are not very keen on making you feel good food. It is running like a dhaba service on the highway crowded and noisy As they are big names, you need to pay them a lot more than other places but this is not a place for value for money, despite that they taste good. Suggestions: There should be a manager for service to take care of the customers needs on the table There must be a light music Tables should be separated by glasses can avoid disturbance. Best wishes

Excellent food, and amicable staff... Refreshing to be able to speak tamil with the staff, in a hindi-heavy locale like Delhi.. They are taking excellent precautions for COVID... Came here for breakfast (I think around 8:30am)... They had Sambhar Idly/ Vada, Upma, Varieties of dosa, Appam, Idiyappam, and lots more available at this time of the day... I personally had a ghee roast (the iconic extra long one) and a filter coffee to finish it off... Probably will come back for lunch later for the South Indian meals... Price-wise it's a little on the high side... 2 Ghee roast + 2 filter coffee came down to Rs. 570 including taxes... I kind of think of it as a premium you pay to get your beloved South Indian food up north... (But that's probably just me) I personally felt it very endearing to find a familiar taste of South Indian food way up in North India... Absolutely recommend the place to anyone who loves South Indian food...

Have been to Sarvanaa Bhavan a couple of times earlier too. Every time I come here I decide that next time I will visit some other south Indian restaurant but somehow we come to this place, at last. What do you order first when in a south Indian restaurant? Obviously, dosa. The dosa at Sarvanaa Bhavan is tempting at first glance but you get disappointed when you find the filling too meagre. You get three types of chutneys and sambar. Remember, no refills. So be careful and manage with all the stuff that has been served to you. I am finding a strange trend coming up these days. Restaurants are becoming thrifty in servings while on price front they do not hesitate to increase it as when they find it good. Has profitability become more important in food catering which too is part of service sector. How much chutney can be served in that small groove of your plate and how much of sambar do you get in that tiny katori (steel bowl)! Indeed, food catering has now become a good profitable business these days. I tried the south Indian Thali which came with several small katoris containing different vegetables. You get three pooris, a bowl of rice, papad and pickle. The vegetables were good and gave me authentic south Indian taste. Now my take on pooris. First of all, not the right Idea to serve three pieces. In India the number of three is not treated with respect. S it makes no sense to sevre three; it could be two large pieces or should have been four in quantity. Secondly, the pooris were wafer-lite. When all three disappeared from my plate I myself could not understand. The vegetables in Thali were very very hot and I kept sipping water with each bite. Too many small pieces of round dry red chillies. Very hot. Not recommended for small children. We tried to have something different and ordered a plate of parotta with kurma. One plate consists of three small parottas with little kurma, or south Indian vegetable. The quantity of kurma was again small and I missed raita and pickle as well. The butter milk is good, chilled and filling. The ambience is decent with no background music. I found air-conditioning a little weak. Overall, good place for one or two visits. I think nobody would prefer to make repeated visits to Sarvanaa Bhavan. #southindianfood , #apurvarai , #connaughtplace , #eatingout

Though it has many branches pan asia, but personally its not worth it. Too much corwded and prices are not worth the quality and quanity they are giving. Post covid, no such protocols like social distancing on tables and all. Food was also okay types not having any x factor.

The 5 star is for the food and the service. It couldn't be described it was full of taste, healthy and in good quantity. The saravanaa team was good in managing the service and the seat bookings. Please one thing to be noted you will find Crowd if you are visiting in weekends and there are no online bookings and take necessary covid precautions as I didn't find people maintaining social distancing. But all of this is worth it when you will taste the food. Do visit with your family and friends and adding to that they have a speacial thali which is only served in the afternoon if you have a chance should taste it. 😋🙂

We had breakfast today at Saravana Bhavan, Janpath, Delhi. We ate Ghee Roast Dosa, Ghee Roast Panneer Disa, Paper Roast Dosa, Rava Onion Dosa, Pingal, Sambar Vadai, Curd Vadai, Puri, Badam Halwa and Coffee. All were good. Very tasty. Chutneys, Sambar and Palyas also were very tasty. Looks were good too. Except the Badam Halwa which was given in Plastic Cover. Staff were courteous, quick, smart and helpful. Hotel Ambience was good too. If you are South Indian breakfast lover, and you are near Central Delhi, this is a right place for you. Priced on little bit higher side, especially if you are from Southern India.

Nice authentic Tamil food. Very rarely did I ever find a South Indian restaurant where the chutney and sambar are nice but amazingly all three chutneys are awesome. The dosas were crisp and delicious. I'd suggest to steer clear of the thali and Cheese Veg Dosa and to stick to the classics.

The best item I have tasted in this hotel is Cheese Dosa and Tea.If you have read this review then please atleast one time visit this hotel and taste Cheese Dosa and a cup of Tea and one thing is that the tea is bland so don't forget to add sugar in it.

Sharing my personal experience as a delhite, I tried one uttapam and a dosa, both authentic, as of my taste buds no masala was there all you can taste is just chutneys and sambhar, no taste otherwise. If thats the case with authentic south indian food than i am not a really big fan. Also we tried cold coffee with ice cream and south indian filter coffee which was great. Good Service, place is busy sometimes you would have to wait for your turn.

It was real pleasure to have authentic Tamil food after long in the capital city. Price is reasonable compared to the quality they serve. Staff were humble and doing well on their duty. The overall experience was good, I really liked the Vedu Wada. My ratings: 1) Rava Onion Masala Dosa: 8/10 2) Ghee Panner Dosa: 7/10 (the seasoning could have been better) 3) Vedu Wada: 10/10 (very soft wada) 4) Rice Idli: 9/10 (Decent Idli) The sambar and tomato/garlic chutney was good, I personally didn't like the coconut chutney.

On my leisure day. I planned to to visit Lodhi garden and afterwards I decided to have a south Indian food. The place aura is amazing. Reservation is required to enter the place. 4 people sitting gets priority since the sitting are optimizated in such a way. After waiting approx 30 minutes, I got in. Then I ordered one of their special. Panchvernam Uttapam- 5 different mini Uttapam are served as seen in the Picture with sambar ( curry ) & 3 chutney. The taste was exquisite 👌🏻. Second dish - one Idli one bendu veda Taste was subtle & delightful. Serviced with Sambar (curry) & 3 chutney on sides. Must try place for South Indian food lovers 😀 .

There is a huge line so go there and get your name registered to the person on the gate. The waiting time on the gate is approximately 15-20 minutes. The taste is very good but I didn't like cold coffee much. The ambience is not much focused but is a good budget place to dine in.

👍👍 Absolutely love their rice combos. Paneer rice is my all time favourite. Great option for dinner, if you work nearby. If you're looking for a place for quick bites, then you need to visit this place.
