I had the pleasure of trying Chor Bizarre yesterday. But everything about my experience was far from bizarre and more close to being wonderful.(Had to make that joke) The way the interiors have been designed beautifully, the calming classic Hindi music and the exceptional service. I was already in a good mood even before I grabbed the menu. I felt like having chicken and after much discussion with the staff, I decided to order chicken tikka masala with some garlic naan. I must say I was quite honestly impressed with the flavour and the texture of the gravy. To me it was a memorable dine in experience. From the spice level to the juiciness of the chicken, everything was done right. I would love to visit here but if you do stay in Delhi or are even visiting, I highly recommend trying this place. They’re known for their Kashmiri dishes but even the other items were fantastic.

One of the best places in town at the best location possible in Delhi. I have been a big fan of this brand for almost 25 years when it was at a different location. If you love North Indian especially Kashmiri food don’t miss this place at all. Best Tabak Maaz, amazing curry dishes like Yakhni. Rogan Josh, Haaq and a vibrant atmosphere. Chef Srinivas and his talented team has always been so consistent with their food it surprises me how beautifully they do it. Do book a table in advance. Parking is easily available inside the compound.

Chor bizarre, located near Bikaner house , is a place which serves authentic Kashmiri cuisine. The dishes are all very authentic and are quite tasty! The decor has also been done quite well and does actually resemble a chor bizarre! It’s a good place to go to with family for an authentic Kashmiri experience. The price point is a bit high in comparison to other places, however.

The food is very tasty. But quantity is very less & price per plate is very high. Palak patta chaat for example is very tasty & fresh but a plate has only 4-5 pieces at a price of 215 per taxesBatata puri has only 5 puchkas at a price of 215 plus taxes. Tandoori non veg platter has only 3 pieces per snack. Be careful while ordering.

Love the ambience and the location, the place is usually quite. Situated in Bikaner House, the decor looks amazing. The staff is also polite and considerate. Parking is never a problem and the location is quite central. I just had chats and they were good.

Heard the hype and visited this place with Family. The place is small, well kept but crowded. The restaurant is known for Indian & Kashmiri cuisine. We tried the Dahi Puri and Palak Patta Chaat To start with. Both were decent. The quantity was enough for 4 people. Then we tried the Rum Punch cocktail which was well made. The kaafir lime tasted delicious in it. Then we tried their specialty Kashmiri Tarami. It’s more like a Kashmiri Thali served with rice. The portion size was good enough for one person. We tried both the Veg and Non veg options and it was good. The taste was authentic and sublime. Overall a good experience.

Recently visited this gem of a place located inside Bikaner house. Their royal ambience and wonderful service was the highlight. In starters, we opted for their Palak Patta chaat which was average. The vegetarian sampler was an assortment of various kebabs which was really good. In the main course, we opted for Mattar Mushroom and Dal Chor B'zar and paired it with mirchi garlic naan and laccha parantha which was not a bad choice at all. We especially loved the Dal. Then it time for their signature dish, Tarami. It was basically an assortment of Kasmiri delicacies like Laal Paneer, Dum Aloo, Khatte Baingan, Nadru Yakhni, Haaq, Rajmah, Nadru Choorma which was served with  Rice, Mooli Adrak Chutney, Tamatar mirch and Laal pyaaz. We absolutely loved it! In beverages, we opted for the strawberry flavored frozen fruit mockery which was served in a martini glass. We also tried their bestseller, Masala Mint Mojito, the Adraki punch and Shikanjvi, each of which was equally good. Had a couple of desserts. The Kasmiri phirni was absolutely melt in the mouth stuff. The kulfi was presented very well and the taste was also very good. We rounded up our meal with the traditional Kahwa tea which was served warm in a kettle. Overall, really good food.

Amazing place. The interior of the restaurant are very simple, rustic and beautiful. The food is great. Specially there Kashmiri fare. The food is authentic. We ordered veg Tarami and chicken rogan josh which needs a special mention. Overall the food was delicious. We enjoyed having our food there with spending some peaceful time. The service was also top notch. The guys knew there menu well. A must visit place if you are in Delhi.

If you are here for good food, you won't regret. Taste & service, both pleasing. Gaolouti kabab - 3.5 (though it's melt in the mouth type, but needs to be little bit more moist with fat) Gostaba - 4.5 (bang on taste, 0.5 less due to smaller than expected ball size) Mutton - 5 (superb taste, very soft) Garlic Naan - 3 (was cold). Was thinner also due to which it was more crunchy than being soft. Chilli garlic Naan - 3 (was cold, & was expecting with green chillies not red chilli paste) Steam rice - 3 (normal rice used instead of aromatic versions, portion very small) Mutton stuffed Kulcha - 4 (it was nice, better filling possible) Dahi balla - 5 (as expected) Berry crush mocktail - 4.5 (kids liked it) Side dish - liked the walnut louki raita. Food portions can be little more, I won't say it's less but as prices are on higher side so expectations are according to it. Plates are also nice, with different decorations in each. Decor is what we see in images, but as the restaurant sitting space is not too big, difficult to move around and appreciate the old relics. Chairs can be made more comfortable, with better back rest. Better do reservation, else may have to wait.

Ambiance and service speed is A1. We tried veg tarami which was okayish and the veg sampler which was delicious. The prices seem relatively high as compared to the taste n quality. One thing which i found weird was that, the waiter offered to get some papad for our 2 year old daughter, which was a good gesture (obviously i knew we’ll have to pay for the same). However, the same 2-3 papads for child were added as a proper Papad Platter in the final cheque priced at around 250-300/- bucks. Now that was misleading and doesn’t look good on part of a popular restaurant. This was probably my first n last visit here.

Wonderful place to dine in a serene atmosphere. Both Veg. and non-veg food is excellent. My only advice is they should add more veg items in main course (other than paneer items). Chicken Rogan Josh is a unique item here. Worth a repeat visit.

Wanted to go there for a long time. Finally went on a quiet Thursday evening (reservation made in advance) with 4 friends. Was easily locatable with ample parking space. The staff was very accommodating and our table was ready in advance. The ambience is really quirky with vibes of vintage and colonial decorations. Old Bollywood music kept us entertained throughout. After staffs recommendations ordered veg and non veg platter with a few drinks. Then went for Biryani, mutton roganjosh, and kadhai chicken with different breads. The quantity and quality were good and we could barely finish the food. It is expensive if you're looking for a budget outing but totally worth the price. Cheers.

Location of this place is quite good. There is no rush. Calm atmosphere here. Good place for quick bite. Not so high scale place. Sanitation around the dhaba should be better. Food quality is average. Seating arrangement is good. Please enclose the main eating chamber in mirrors because there is dust problem with air while eating the food.

The tastefully done, ethnic Indian interiors of Chor Bizarre are made to appear mysterious, historic and straight of an exotic Indian mansion, set in a fairytale. In my mind, this makes it an ideal place to bring foreign tourists, looking for a unique “Indian” dining experience in an ambiance that can’t be had back home. The food however, left much to be desired. This is not to say that the food, the Mutton Roghan Josh and the Lotus Stem Yakhni were bad. They were however, nothing to write home about. If the food were as impressive as the decor, I dare say, that this would be one of the most wholesome Indian dining experiences out there. Given that the food doesn’t match the ambiance of the place, one leaves the place feeling like it is more of a gimmick. I don’t however mean that one feels cheated after dining at Chor Bizarre. Far from that. The staff is welcoming and friendly, and the service is fine. The overall dining experience is satisfying, given the antiques one is sitting amidst. However, if you are craving excellent food, then you will be better off dealing with those cravings somewhere else. Chor Bizarre still does remain a great place to bring your foreign friends for a final dinner before they catch their flight back home.

Very good food! The naan is absolutely perfect. Just like back home! Soft without being doughy and crispy without being dry at the same time!! All the meat was tender and perfectly cooked. We ordered Malai kabab, achari mutton, paneer kadai, keens naan, garlic naan. The curries and the gravies were very flavorful. The paneer could be softer though. Left me satisfied and full without being overwhelmed! Rasmalai was sublime! Super soft... Creamy... The rose and cardamom coming through clearly. Just the right amount of sweet! Service was attentive and prompt. Well deserved 5 stars! Was so excited about the food, forgot to take pictures of all the things we ordered. Suggestions for the restraunt: the chutney could use some more spice/zing! Or have a spicy chutney option as well. Bhel Puri would also be better with a spicier chutney and more crispy sev or puris.

This place is more of an experience rather than a restaurant. Firstly, this is a typical restaurant for family settings. Coming over to ambiance, this place has a nostalgic feeling to it. Old rusty settings, old school windows, they even changed old beds into chair and table. Coming to food. Honestly, it's average to above average. We had Veg and Non Veg Tarami (Thali) to get an idea of maximum items. Few was kinda OK, few of them was really good. Overall a satisfactory meal. But nothing to brag about. Service was absolutely top notch. The servers had knowledge of each and every dish on the menu. While serving the Tarami they explained us every dish even the refills were quick. Location is very easy. You enter the Pandara Road and upon the entry on the right side you see Bikaner House. In there you'll find the restaurant. Prices are on a higher side. Ref. Tarami 1300+Taxes. Non veg 1100+Taxes Veg Must try place.

I loved the place and ambience. It was calm and peaceful. Its an amazing place to visit with family for lunch or dinner. I will prefer to go on a dinner. You can have walk outside the restaurant in the open space. The interiors in the restaurant give a feeling of old times where we used to put things in big jars. It is also very famous for its kashmiri dishes.

We were group of 4 people and had dinner here. We had non veg and veg Kashmiri tarami, the non veg tarami was decent. However, veg tarami was average and can be made better - Khatte baigan, paneer and nadru yakni not exactly how it should be. The veg tarami was not worth the price. The restaurant ambience is good. The collection of old artefacts and pictures quite nice. The staff is courteous.

Chor bizarre Bikaner house "One cannot Think well, Love well, Sleep well if one has not Dined well." Just like any other city has a chor bazaar, we went out to have complete eat out experience at much ironical food heaven @Chor Bizarre which serves authentic regional Indian cuisine in an eclectic decor with old charm music paired with hearty hospitality. Special emphasis have been put towards the decor where "nothing matches" yet "everything gels". From fabrics to the antique tables, local ornaments/accessories, picture frames & the installation of timeless beauties. It takes you on a journey, back in the period where you see objects and works of art as you go through the space. Talking about food, each regional dish stays true to their origin even after going through innovation by chefs. Where do I start from since I had quite many dishes :p Ok, as below. Everything was fantastically-amazingly-superbly-legendary! Everything became our favourites. Dahi Batata Puri Crisp flour spheres (gol gappe) filled with potato, yoghurt, mint, tamarind, pomegranate seeds- topped with sev. Burst of flavours in your mouth. Shikanji Such a refreshing and cool drink with a wow factor to cleanse your palette. Palak Patta Chaat Crispy spinach leaves topped with some yoghurt, spices, pomegranate and sev. Kashmiri Kanti Kebab Lamb tossed in onions, tomatoes and Kashmiri spices. Kurkuri Makkai Crispy sweet corns fingers. Tandoori Malai Gobhi Char grilled baby cauliflower with cheese and topped with some garam masala. Vegetarians- Must Try!! Hari Mirchi Macchi Tikka Fish tikka in green color which is predominantly there by the use of green chillies and spinach paste. No artificial colours used. Main Course: Yes! Even after trying these many starters we ordered mains! This is what a Foodie does, especially if the food is this good. Non-Veg Tarami Seekh kebab, Tabak Maaz, Gashtaba, Chicken Roganjosh, Aloo Bukhara Korma, Yakhni, Haaq on a bed of rice. This is followed by traditional Kahwa tea. Egg Curry: Cheese stuffed eggs in onion tomato gravy! Absolute Kickass dish. Had all this with Mirchi garlic naan, ulta tawa paranthas and Keema Kulcha -> my tastebuds danced to the tune of Lajawaab !!! Who said we are done? Bring some deserts, plz. Tandoori Pineapple: Big chunks of juicy pineapple with tandoor flavour accompanied with cinnamon vanilla ice-cream. Kashmiri Phirni: Perfectly blend semolina in milk and saffron. Soft and light. Special mention to Chef Karan who is an amazing human being, so humble and carries magic in his hands. I take a "bow" ! It takes a lot for us to say this, but we haven't had better Kashmiri cuisine in Delhi anywhere than here @Chor Bizarre. We highly recommend this place to all our follower community. This place will not let you down in any way. Plan your next outing/ chill-out session with friends or bae/ work-meetings, etc without much a-do. Until next time . . . Best Regards, Team Delhidelites Xx

I really like the decor which is old style. Than ambience is good and area is properly lit. Old stereo /radio was there on the shelves. The food was yummy and well cooked. The kashmiri wazwan was really good complimented with firni and Kawa in the end. Do book ur seat before going there. There is ample space for parking so don't worry about that. For fine dining its a good place to be!

So today i went to "chor bizarre" this is in bikaner house and this is a famous indian restaurant. This place is heaven for kashmiri food. They serves authentic kashmiri food. This place is literally, love bcoz of there food they serve and the ambiance which is totally vintage and rustic and they maintained the same still now. Nothing has changed, nor the decor nor the menu. They focus on intricate work and try to maintain the same aura of chor bazar. Every corner of this place specialized something, you can't miss anything. In short you can say this place is old world charm. Best place to spent some quality time with family. Now comes to food - In drink - • Imly mirchi mary - This drink is very spicy and very strong flavours. Though i didn't like it much. • Masala mint mojito - This is fresh and refreshing. In starters - • Palak patta chaat - They serves one of the best palak patta chaat. Must try. • Tawa aalu chaat - These were baby potatoes served in the chaat form, nice it is. • Veg starter - Kurkuri makkai, Tandoori puneapple, Palak kebab, Mushroom pepper fry. A perfect veg combo for vegetarians to start the meal. • Non veg starter - Hari mirch macchi tikka, kashmiri kanti kebab, Bhatti ka murgh. My personal fav was kashmiri kanti kebab i love eating this. In mains - • Non veg tarami - which includes Seekh kebab, Tabak maaz, Ghostaba, Chicken rogan josh, Aalu bukhara korma, Nadru yakhni, Haaq, Nadru choorma. Visiting chor bizarre and not having this is sin. This is 36 course meal and a mini wazwan. Must try if you really wants to try authentic kashmiri food. In dessert - • Phirni - very lite and mild taste. • Mango and pista kulfi - Pista kulfi was very yum and mango kulfi has strong flavours of it. And as a kashmiri tradition meal always end up with the traditional drink called "khawa" Which is basically to digest the meal, so i also did the same. Overall this place is beautiful in terms of food, ambiance. A complete family place it is. Staffs were so humble and on there toes to serves us the best. Highly recommended.

Chor Bizarre, Pandara Road, has been one of the best places I've been to in New Delhi. The restaurant itself is located in a brilliant premise, the theme and decor is quite charming. They've a feel of a traditional Rajasthani palacial ambience. The service is great, the staff is very caring and the food quality is brilliant. It is slightly expensive but if you can afford this, it's a place you should visit for some quality culinary experience.

Ambience of this place is very Indian and elite and the staff is extremely polite. Coming to food, fine dining has disappointed me a lot of times but, chor bizzare has thoroughly impressed me. 1. Let's start with the best, Gushtaba, such simple flavors yet so beautifully working together to get that amazing taste and the lamb meatballs were Soo soft and juicy, it is amazing ( have it with rice and add some mooli akhrot ki chutney) 2. Anyone who thinks they've had Rohan Josh in Delhi, must have it here to prove themselves wrong. Gravy has a beautiful course texture and flavor and the meat itself is cooked to perfection 3. If you're a meat fat person, do order tabak maaz, these are deep fried lamb ribs

We have been ordering from Mughlai since end of last year and its our absolute favorite! We have mostly tried all the chicken varieties and few vegetarian dishes. Chicken chettinad is our absolute fav. We love that they have the special running every day which serves appetizers and we love the samosas. Post the lockdown when the restaurants opened, we enjoyed our comfort food from mughlai and we are really grateful for that. And coincidence is that there are couple of staff from Goa, India! Its really rare that I find folks from Goa around!

I love Indian food and eat it regularly, and I must say this is probably the best Indian food I’ve ever had. Everything was excellent- from the aloo papri chaat to the baingan Bhartha to the chicken tikka masala. Some of these dishes especially the former two were very unique dishes that I’ve never had, but yet were incredible. Price was very reasonable, and portions were large for the Mughlai special. Would recommend to anyone.

This place has been my new home for last few weeks. I’m a healthcare professional working in HHC right now and looking for some good meal after long shifts has been painful and tiring. I was missing Indian food terribly (away from home for 8 weeks) and good from here has satisfied my cravings. I order food from here almost every day. Their 15.95 bundle deal is amazing. Quantity is great. Taste is just as you request it to be. I prefer spicy, and they do justice to my request. Yesterday found complimentary dessert as a surprise in my bag with a thank you note 😊 they take the extra step to make sure your meal is satisfying. I’m again on my way to pick up tonight’s dinner. Thank you guys for feeding me healthy Indian meals when I’m away from home. I’ll definitely visit this place even after leaving city. Excellent service, amazing flavors, great quantity and quality and good serving size.

The restaurant is located on Pandara Road, inside Bikaner House, bang on the periphery of India Gate circle in Lutyens zone of Delhi. As for the place and it's ambience, it found wanting to be called as a fine dining outlet. They claim to be serving most authentic form of Kashmiri Wazwan, cooked by chef (Kashmiri Pandits), but that's where the biggest disappointment occured. Having served for three distinct tenures in Kashmir which made me a crazy fan of Kashmiri Wazwaan preparations, the Kashmiri food served at 'Chor Bizzare' is nowhere near the authentic Wazwaan. I had ordered for Rista, but the dished out preparation was an absolute disappointment and extremely tasteless compared to what is being served at 'Ahdoos' or 'Mughal Durbar' of Srinagar for the same dish. There was not even a faint resemblance that my taste buds could find between Chor Bizarre and Kashmiri food. The food quantity, ordered for two is too meagre to suffice even for two of us, however they seem to be making progress in leaps in bounds as far as their prices go. The place ensure that it makes a noticeable hole in your pocket for serving disappointment but as per my Bizzare' experience, 'Oonchi Dukaan, Feeka Pakwaan' proverb aptly suits them.

  • 5/5 sakshi a. 2 years ago on Google
I have tried Kashmiri cuisine at a couple of places but this was by far my favorite. We ordered non-vegetarian Tarami (a Kashmiri thali). It had an array of yummy dishes including phirni and kahwa. Everything on the plate was bursting with flavors. The chef came to ask about the food and also explained about the preparation of a dish made with akhrot (apricot) which we found quite interesting. He also explained about two goshtaba gravies both of which were again excellent. Overall it was an amazing experience.

Nice decor with ethnic touch. High hospitable stuff. Publicised as gourmet food of Kashmir. Service was very good. Food preparation was mediocre. Had few items. For those who had Gustava and Rishta of Ahdoo at Srinagar, Kashmir, would be terribly disappointed. For others who love to explore, may give a try

Chor Bizarre is a gem that truly lives up to its name, providing a uniquely delightful dining experience. From the moment you step into this restaurant, you're transported into a world of eccentricity and charm. One of the standout features that sets Chor Bizarre apart is its purposeful use of different plate designs for each guest. This attention to detail not only adds an element of surprise but also creates a sense of personalization, making each visit feel truly special. When it comes to the food, Chor Bizarre continues to impress. The mal pua, a traditional Indian dessert, is an absolute must-have. Its delicate texture, coupled with the sweet syrup and subtle hints of cardamom, will leave you craving for more. Pairing the creamy dal makhni cooked for 24 hrs 🤯 with the heavenly chilli garlic naan is a match made in foodie heaven. The rich flavors of the dal complement the perfectly spiced naan, creating a symphony of tastes that will satisfy even the most discerning palate.

Rating: ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ (5/5) Review: My recent dining experience at the Kashmiri Restaurant was nothing short of extraordinary. Nestled in the heart of the city, this hidden gem showcases the vibrant and rich flavors of the Kashmiri cuisine in a cozy and inviting atmosphere. From the moment I stepped inside, I was greeted with warm hospitality and an ambiance that instantly transported me to the beautiful valleys of Kashmir. The restaurant's decor exuded elegance, with traditional Kashmiri artwork adorning the walls and soft, ambient lighting that created a soothing ambiance. The attentive and friendly staff made me feel right at home, providing excellent recommendations and ensuring that every detail of the dining experience was taken care of. Now, let's talk about the highlight of the evening—the food. The Kashmiri Restaurant offers an extensive menu featuring authentic Kashmiri dishes, each prepared with meticulous attention to detail. The flavors were a delightful symphony of spices, providing a unique blend that left my taste buds dancing with joy. The use of traditional Kashmiri ingredients, such as saffron, fennel, and Kashmiri chili, added an unmistakable authenticity to each dish. I started my culinary journey with the fragrant and flavorful Rogan Josh, a traditional Kashmiri lamb curry. The tender pieces of meat simmered in a rich gravy that was bursting with aromatic spices. The flavors were balanced perfectly, with just the right amount of heat. Accompanied by fragrant basmati rice, this dish was a testament to the culinary expertise of the chefs. Next,a dish that perfectly showcased the delicate flavors of Kashmiri cuisine. The fragrant rice, cooked with aromatic spices and succulent pieces of meat, was melt-in-your-mouth tender. The subtle hints of saffron elevated the dish to new heights, leaving me craving for more. The sweet and savory combination was a revelation, adding a unique twist to the traditional naan. To end the meal on a sweet note, I savored the Shufta, a traditional Kashmiri dessert. The combination of caramelized dry fruits, honey, and saffron created a heavenly indulgence that was both rich and satisfying. Each bite was a reminder of the culinary legacy that Kashmir holds. Overall, this restaurant left an indelible mark on my taste buds and my heart. The authenticity of the cuisine, combined with the warm hospitality and cozy ambiance, made for an unforgettable dining experience. Whether you're a seasoned connoisseur of Kashmiri cuisine or someone looking to embark on a culinary adventure, this restaurant is a must-visit. I can't wait to return and explore more .
