Not a good experience. We went there by checking reviews and the price we paid was not justifying the food quality. We ordered chicken biriyani which was full of green chilly and you cannot take a bite of it also. We were really disappointed by the chicken biriyani. Although the tandoori chicken was okay for which I have given 2 stars to this restaurant. Maybe other dishes are good but chicken biriyani is definitely not good here considering the quality and cost. Refreshments like masala coke and lime soda were good.

1948 Established Restaurant... known for quality. Price is quite high but against quality it's good. Our Taxi Driver Suggested this restaurant..we had food with him in this restaurant. Golden Moment. We had Paneer Shahi ,Mutton Biryani and Naan and One Water bottle. Total Price was 1800 /_

As good as it always was. Pindi is unarguably the best Indian mughlai cuisine restaurant in Delhi. It still maintains the old world charm though the interiors have been done modern. Mr Wadhwa welcoming guests at the door is such a pleasant sight. I keep going back for the butter chicken, which is the best. Perfect for a weekend lunch. Will keep coming back. ❤️

Nice ambience, good food (north Indian), quite expensive on the pricing. What we tried: Chicken Munchow soup 2.5/5 - very bland and watery Chicken tikka masala 4.5/5 - excellent masalas (gravy) and tender chicken Garlic naan/roti 3/5 (average - not too good, not too bad)

Pindi on Pandara road since 1948 is a unique place for relishing north Indian food. The restaurant offers complete Punjabi north indian authentic cuisine. Their most sold and favourites are butter chicken, Pindi chana, mutton rara, tandoori chicken dishes and different breads. They also serve alcoholic drinks and mocktails. It's a must visit if you are around the central Delhi location.

One of the oldest and reputed restaurant in Pandara Road. Food taste were equally good as Gulati Restaurant opposite to it. Staff was friendly and even wearing proper masks. It costs us INR 6900 for 2 couples and 2 kids below 6 years which includes non veg dishes of 3 Snacks, 1 Platter, 1 Main course along with Breads and 3 mocktails & 4 soft drinks.

Found insect in soup, don’t go there if you love your health. Unhygienic food! Will never visit this restaurant in my life again and would recommend others as well not to visit this place. 17th July 2022, I visited this restaurant and ordered 3 items which were chicken clear soup, dahi kebab and lemon coriander veg soup (in which i found insect). Images shared as proof. You can zoom the image to see the insect.

Not sure why the waiter was adamant about not serving me the kingfisher ultra, claimed he only had 3 bottles on hand, but I stood my ground and ordered, it was exquisite including the food. Definitely make a stop!

More like 3.5 stars. Staff was great, a new set of cutlery was offered. Although the utensils they were serving in, were not very clean. Food is good, a little above average for the dishes we had. I'm a vegetarian so I can only comment on them. Would rate the dishes 7/10, nothing too special. Interiors are nice, decent place for a meal.

If I’m being honest, the food honestly isn’t that bad, but I can taste in their food that they don’t really put their full efforts into perfecting the dish, I expected a lot more from this place...

Decent family restaurant, taste is good but not exceptional. Tandoori chicken was quite bland, rest butter chicken was good and so were the rotis. Visited on a Sunday, heavy rush. They have tried to squeeze in more people per square foot by putting up 3 more tables.

This restaurant along with a few others in Pandara Market are living off their legacy . The food okay , owner was courteous and staff always in a rush but friendly and the ambience is good. We had vegetarian food. I have been told that non vegetarian food is better. So there you go... attached is the picture with their NYT article

We had ordered veg dishes, and it was tasty. The ambiance is just okayish for the price you pay. The cost is a lot influenced by the posh location of the restaurant. So I am not sure if you can describe it as costly, but for sure, you will get the same quality, ambiance, and taste at a half price somewhere else ! The service was good and decent. Parking is not easy, we'll need to figure it out ourselves.

Very very poor mismanagement we felt. Order and forget wat u have ordered coz they will take 30-40min to return back. N when asked will keep telling yes 5mn The chicken kabab was good. But rest butter chicken and tikka chicken was as average. We liked the prawn kababs. They were nice.

It was clearly very popular as it was totally full and we had to wait for a table. Inside the menu was a review from the NYT Dehli chief 1982 describing his unexpected and fabulous lunch and the best butter chicken he ever had. The only thing that has changed since then is now they serve beer. The butter chicken is still the same - best ever - and the side of mushrooms and the garlic naan were also excellent. Great place to stop on the way to/or from the airport.

The visits to this restaurant are never enough! They have wide range of food starting from my personal favourite Pindi Chana to Chicken tikka, you name it! My mom’s a very hygienic woman and she avoided eating outside after this Covid outbreak. But since it was her birthday, we thought of getting out after a long time, to celebrate with her. When we came here, we realised social distancing was very much taken care of in here. They provide sanitizers at the entrance, waiters stay some distance away from you, all wear masks and even all of their plates are properly cleaned and wrapped with plastic and can be unwrapped when you will begin eating. And the food omg! If my mom loved it, anyone will love it! Worth the visit(s) ;)

Visited Pindi for dinner couple of days ago. Ordered daal makhni which was absolutely bland, half uncooked and tasteless. Brain curry was uncooked and tasteless, butter chicken was average. Called the chef and gave him feedback which was acknowledged lightly. Would not recommend this place if other restaurants are opened. Didn’t send the food back as we were hungry and COVID times it needs to go to a bin.

Expensive by Delhi/India's standards, and yes it was our guide who brought us there but who cares!!! The food was delicious and portions huge. A nice mix of tourists and locals, mainly families. Was it a good experience? Definitely yes. Would we come back? Not sure due to the prices. Still cheaper than worst Indian restaurants in North America.

Huge waiting on weekends. I had to wait for an hour at night 10pm. Food is good but not worth the trouble of excessive waiting time. Cost is also very high. Looks like only thing that pulls people here is the fact that restaurant is operating since 1948. Otherwise objectively not worth the price.

The food is very good and I'd rate it 5 of 5 in terms of quality and taste. Some may find it overly expensive, but then Pindi is not your everyday restaurant. My experience at Pindi is that of a lunch for six people which filled not just my belly but also my soul. I'd recommend Mix Vegetable for my fellow vegetarians. TL;DR High Quality Food. Very Expensive.

Ordered hot n sour and vegetable clear soup. Soups were downright bad. Too much cornflour and no taste in either one. Veg seekh kebab was good and a must try. Aloo taka tak were average. They were sweet and too much filled. Had pindi chole, paneer butter masala, garlic naan, butter n plain roti along with masala papad. Pindi chole were one of a kind. This is a must try dish. Please note this was spicy with green chillies . Paneer butter masala was good too but not a must try. This too had small green chillies spiced. Garlic naan was soft and delicious. Tandoori roti was average. So was the butter one. Masala papad was very spicy capable of making your taste buds deads and causing a headache. Had gulab jamun and butter scotch ice cream in desserts. Gulab jamun was very very sweet but the ice cream was good. Ambiance was average. Orders were served well and on time. Service was good. Though the tables are placed close to each other and there is very less space to get inside.

Good place to dine out. Very very old place loved by many since their childhood. Only issue is too much congested. Even Management interference if you take your hand quite long as it reaches the table behind you. Need of hour demands to reduce tables. As at exorbitant rates you require comfort zone too. Should be taken on a serious node.
