One of my favourite south indian food restaurant, this outlet is in hotel Ashok and it's quite good as it's my first time to have lunch here, but In this outlet all prices are likely double from other Sagar Ratna's restaurant don't know why. Likely we got 2pcs gulab jamun at around 150₹ but here at hotel Ashoka same Gulab Jamun we got @ 370+taxes, and that thing I don't like here.

Had been to Sagar Ratna Restaurant at Ashok Hotel, New Delhi and found South Indian stuff really yummy better than Sagar Ratna elsewhere. Service is fast and ambience is not so great. Masala Dosa @Rs. 430/- & Fresh Lime Soda @Rs.250/- plus GST is too much on the higher side!!! Visit and enjoy!!

Once we dined in the restaurant.. had idli sambhar, raita, uttapam. Raita was quite good. Idli was nice. Uttapam was ok.. its quite expensive as compared to other sagar ratna. The other time we had a delivery in ashoka hotel itself in office. The dosas were all soggy, sambhar was too less in quantity and not good. Chutneys were ok.. per me dine in was way better nd delivery just a floor above wasnt good.

Sagar Ratna is a very old South Indian restaurant at outer side lane of Ashok Hotel. The place is frequented by politicians and advocates mainly. The prices here are not as any other Sagar Ratna outlet has in Delhi. It's almost 2-3 times higher than that. The place is nice and service is good. Food is what Sagar Ratna offers at other places. There's parking outside the gate.

From entrance to exit everyone in the staff has smile on their faces and greeted properly. Awesome food experience, from different chutney's, sambhar, dosa to veg briyani and ice cream sundae, everything was delicious and tasty. The only negative thing I can spot is their outdated interiors and dull ambience that definitely pulls down your good experience. If possible please work on doors, furniture and interiors.

It is best outlet of Sagar Ratna in Delhi. I am a regular visitor. The food is delicious and the service prompt and courteous. Just need reasons to keep visiting repeatedly, and the taste of the food definitely gives one the reason to go again and again and again.

Located in Ashoka Hotel, this is one of the old yum restaurant in Delhi if you are craving for dosas or idlis or what not. Place needs abit renovation though but food and service always make it up for everything!! Food is delicious and staff is very friendly and helpful.

Well spacious..courteous staff..but needs some modernisation..like the menu card had some torn pages..i had plain Mysore dosa and it was awesome..the coconut chutney too was fresh..sambhar was okay (not matching up to my favourite at Naivedym).. definitely a cosy place to enjoy with family.. it’s inside hotel Ashok.. closer to the Exit side

Sagar Ratna Restaurant in Hotel Ashoka is the best if you are a pure vegetarian, in Delhi. You won't get any difference of taste from hotels in southern part of India to Sagar Ratna. Absolutely fabulous and offers very tasty food. I recommend Sagar Ratna for breakfast, Lunch and dinner

I had an exceptional dining experience at this restaurant! The ambiance was delightful, the staff was attentive and friendly, and the food was simply exquisite. Each dish was crafted with precision and bursted with flavors. I highly recommend trying their signature dish—it was a true culinary delight. The portion sizes were generous, and the presentation of each plate was impeccable. From appetizers to desserts, every course left me wanting more. The attention to detail and the quality of ingredients were evident in every bite. The restaurant's commitment to providing a memorable experience is commendable. I'll definitely be returning and giving it a well-deserved five-star rating!

Later to end my day and get s sweetness start of the next day I got a delightful dessert . To have this beauty I make sure to have a light start up so that I get enough space to store it.

Everything was good but just didn’t feel that ‘maaza’ feeling with any of the dosa or vada. Ghee dosa had a lot of ghee, but maybe I should have guessed that before I ordered it. A solid place but perhaps much better dosa can be found elsewhere

Full on a family restaurant! Gives kind of formal vibe. I love their masala dosa. Such thick coconut chutney, wow ! Makes me wanna have it again now that I am reminiscing the taste while typing this review. I just love their authentic taste. Filter coffee seems over priced for its quantity and it's taste though. - servings of all chutneys 10/10 - sambhar 9/10 - dosa 10/10 For 2 masal dosa and 3 filter coffees- Approx Rs 1800/- Should definitely go there if it's like a formal set up or you want to have a lunch or dinner with family.

Very good food South Indian food. Service is very good. The still follow complete Covid protocol! This Sagar Ratna is in Ashoka hotel Chanakya Puri and the entry is from main road. Parking is there as well. It’s a good option for #cyclist going to Rajpath and India gate from #Dwarka to do a group breakfast as it opens at 8 am. #Chanakyapuri #Delhi #India #Ashokahotel #Food

Having eaten here several times over the course of a few months, i've had both incredible service and some really disappointing service. Overall though, I would say that the good far outweighs the bad, and the staff here are always very friendly and welcoming. The food here is reasonably priced, and very tasty, although sometimes there can be a delay for it to arrive!!! With a good variety of dishes..

The quantity of food is more than what you would expect in an upscale place like this. We had kulhad lassi, shared mini idles, and then had trouble finishing our dosa.

We had a really good dinner at Cross Cultures. The restaurant serves food that is both traditional and authentic, yet it's a bit more refined than your typical Indian restaurant. Our entrees were tasty and prepared with the amount of heat we requested. The dining area is spotless and tastefully decorated, providing for nice ambiance. The service was both attentive and friendly. We'll definitely return.

Spacious and staff is polite and courteous. But it doesn't have veg north Indian food which other sagar ratnas have usually. Food was good and presented while. You'll only get south Indian food here at panchsheel marg outlet. I was saddened by their washroom though.. it is ver conjusted w.r.t the huge sitting area. There was no music playing when I visited.. I usually like soft music while having food.

The service was very good, and our stay was so relaxing.” This quote says it all: The service was so good that they could sit back, relax and enjoy the experience. 2. “I really liked the amenities.” Never underestimate the value of hot, fresh coffee in the morning, comfortable cotton bathrobes, free wifi, flat-screen TVs, and even high-end soap dispensers. 3. “The price I paid was absolutely worth it!” This is something every manager longs to hear from his or her guests: The stay was worth every penny, no matter what the cost. “Best buffet ever.” Countless customers base their hotel bookings on one factor and one factor alone: cuisine. “I can bring my children and small pets.” Providing accommodation and adequate spaces for kids and small animals will help you win over parents and pet owners. “The staff was really kind and willing to attend any request.” Alongside thoughtful amenities and general comfort, an efficient staff that excels at personal attention is a must-have for all hotels

Make sure that you pay a handsome to the staff otherwise they will not let you leave. They are open and shameless on their right for a handsome tip. Looks like the staff is not being paid their salaries and they solely depend on the tips given the customers.

We always live this place whenever we r there. Bang across the road from Nehru gardens, sitting in Lutyens delhi and having authentic south indian food with ample sitting and really great service. The food is simply awesome unlike all franchise saggar ratna cheap restaurants. This place is pricey given that they operate out of 5 star property, food quality os super super awesome, variety is great and the environement is very peaceful. Even youngsters and teenagers love it... Must visit once even if you are tight on budget, go and have idli.

Tasty food. Authentic Tamil cooking. Didn't like the "sambhar" (too much tamarind). I've given only 3/5 because it is very expensive!!! Probably to do with it being located inside a 5* hotel. Happy to see there is no service charge mentioned on the bill.

Sagar Ratna restaurant delivered an outstanding dinner experience! The diverse menu satisfied various tastes, and my choice, [dish name], was a flavorful delight. The attentive service, coupled with a cozy yet elegant ambiance, created a memorable evening. The chef's attention to detail shone through in every dish, and the was a perfect finale. While on the pricier side, the quality justifies the cost. Highly recommend for a special, enjoyable dinner.

Food is good but the restaurant badly needs maintenance. This time the utensils were also not very clean. You don't get the feel and ambience of a 5 star hotel anymore. The most irritating development is..the waiters have started asking for a tip.

Good service at Hotel Ashoka, this resturant serves best quality of Masala Dhosa and the look of this resturant is good as compared with other Sagar Ratanas. This resturant has ample space to seat and enjoy. They also offer catering outside on various occasions like Birthday , family get together etc. Overall my experience was great here.

Quality of food, super fast service, freshly cooked meals, and courteous staff cannot be compared to any other restaurant for South Indian food in Delhi. My go to place whenever I crave a good Mysore Dosa, with their amazing chutneys(of which they give unlimited servings). Badam halwa and filter coffee are icings on the cake!

Have been visiting for decades. I was a regular visitor of Woodland, Lodhi Hotel, New Delhi. After it shut down, Sagar Ratna came to Ashoka Hotel and since then I prefer to visit this place. Ambience is decent, service is humble. Week days are less busy but on weekends there might be waiting for 30-45 minutes. If you like South Indian food, do visit this place.
