Outlook of the Hotel is great but rooms are old and outdated. For the premium rate that we are paying we expect good quality rooms. The bathroom fittings are very old, hot water was not available at any time, AC is pathetic, either it is full speed or nothing. There are no ceiling fans in the room.

The hotel is a typical decent hotel. Looks good clean and tidy. Rooms feel a bit old requires a fresh makeover. There is renovation ongoing. Hopefully it'll look really good soon. Breakfast was tasty with many options. Room service was good. Everything was good. I didn't get a 5 star hotel feel though but no complaints either.

Very spacious hotel with large building & rooms..... but very poor service and a lot of issues with food in terms of taste and quality. At this price, many better options are there. Don't waste your money. NOT RECOMMENDED.

Attended the marriage function of a friend in the hotel. The organisation was quite good and the ambience was amazing as well. The quality of food was also quite amenable to the taste buds. The entrance to the hotel was under construction, which could have been improved. The toilets in the basement where the function was, were also not well stocked. Overall the experience in the hotel was good and staying here would be quite comfortable.

I had an amazing stay at Hotel Smart! The modern and stylish decor, along with the top-notch amenities, made my experience truly enjoyable. The staff were incredibly friendly and attentive, making sure I had everything I needed. The convenient location near popular attractions was a bonus. I would definitely recommend Hotel Smart to anyone looking for a comfortable and upscale stay.

I had stayed at the hotel recently due to security reasons. They have a very good security system. The rooms were spacious and the staff were pretty good. Overall the stay was good

The hotel is a remnant of an era which has forgotten it. The hallways are old, and dilapidated, the rooms haven't been maintained. Only positive, the staff are helpful polite and courteous. I wish the government either sold it to a group who would renovate and utilise it well or, let the government itself invest money and let the property salvage any of its erstwhile splendor.

Horrible Experience both the Hotel Service and the Staff. The room was very untidy, so was the restroom, the maintenance level is not upto the mark. Food was also pathetic and when coming to room service the Hotel Manager on the very first moment of check_in had charged 2K extra for room service but when it comes to actual service they really were never on time had to call them atleast 5 to 6 times for any help. Overall they really need to improve their work as many customer check_in moslty for Visa related work. I highly don't recommend this hotel at the moment with COVID cases being increasing rapidly.

Only one advantage is its nearer to the different Embassies. Other than that, I don't find the rooms and services that great as a 5- star. Although the breakfast meal is included the food aren't that tasty in the buffet. The room service came as a breath of fresh air. But there aren't lot of options to explore. I would better rate it a 3-star

Location is good, rooms are ok but their service is not professional. At reception they have a govt type non helping attitude. It's hotel under a govt undertaking. I made two three calls from the landline and they charged for it around 175 rupees. Nowhere they have mentioned that it's chargeable. I stayed there only due to a govt tour but will never prefer it other then that. Very unprofessional.

Purpose: US Visa stamping. This is very near to embassy and we stayed for 4 nights. GOOD Stuff: 1. Complimentary breakfast and any food we ordered to room were great 2. Staffs were polite and helpful. BAD Stuff: 1. Its an Indian Govt. Owned hotel so you know what to expect. 2. Most of the rooms were really dated and in wretched conditions and i am not making it up. We were given one room and we changed to premium room but while looking for all other rooms they were as bad as one can imagine. 3. When we switched to the better premium room we did not know that there is a night club and man that loud music till 4 - 5 AM won't let you sleep. 4. As i said in (3) there is a night club and they play really loud music and thumps will not let you sleep. 5. There lots of Govt offices inside the hotel. You see lots of employees of those office roaming around in the hotel. 6. Flies on sweets, sandwiches side of the Breakfast. BOTTOMLINE: Will never stay in this hotel. They should not call themselves hotel.

This place is best in regards to security as there is heavy presence of armed security personnel since it's close embassies, government offices and PM residence. The hotel is a government undertaking. They could have maintained it in a better way. The quality of room, washroom, amenities and facilities are NOT worth paying Extra premium price. The reason we chose this is due to security reasons.

Typical Sarkari behaviour of all the staff. Everyone doing his job improperly in a tight compartment without any regards to the guest. Rooms were dirty and not maintained since inception it seems. Food was good but breakfast and dinner spreads were hopeless. Housekeeping staff was not knowing there job. No hand towels in the room despite asking them. You have to call atleast twice to get any room service.

I stayed in this hotel for a long time and I must say, it ainโ€™t worth the hype. The room service quality kept decreasing over time that eventually the basic daily amenities that weโ€™re supposed to get, had to called and demanded. Bathrooms were almost always left with hair strands for more that two days unless we specifically mention them to remove the same. The worst part about the stay was how long it took to check out from there. The staff in the billing was very casual while doing the bills, taking his own good time, talking chatting and making the client wait for a considerably long time. At times there is no paper in the printer or the online payment machine is not working or one thing or another. It took 30m+ for me to check out from this one hotel. Apart from that, except for the staff in the billing section, each and every other staff, especially the porter boys, reception staff, dinning area staff were all very kind, well mannered and extremely professional in their work. Their service has to be mentioned apart. Itโ€™s a good place for a short stay in the heart of Delhi, but for a long one, I wouldnโ€™t recommend.

Some renovation is going on.....but the room provided is very old fashioned (built during 1982 Asian games probably). They need to standardize things to compete with other 5 star hotels. The vintage look is there because everything is of 1980s. But the amount is reasonable for the price.

Rooms are good. Stayed only 1 night. So don't know about the gym. Pool was closed during covid. Rooms have good amenities. Thought it was slightly expensive. Ordered food in room. It wasn't great. Avoid Chicken biryani! The hotel is huge. Lost my way a couple times. Otherwise warm reception and helpful staff. US embassy is 5 min by auto.

Hotel is so so...rooms are not so good. Staff is good and co operative. Crowd is ok here. Seems like it is govt operated hotel. Good space for parking... We have not stayed in this hotel since the reviews were not good. When we visited we also felt the hotel is quite old and need some renovations as well. Therefore we decided not to stay in this hotel as we were getting good vibes. We cannot comment on room service since we have not stayed in the hotel. However their nightclub KEY is famous in the vicinity but we are not sure how it was since we haven't visited it and left after checking the rooms only. Price wise this is the cheapest hotel you will find online in this area.

My very first day after arrival was married by poor customer service. I can write a complete commentary on my experience. However, I will leave it up to you to conclude. Hotels should warn that their property is under renovation and there are no proper elevator directions. They ensured that you experience the worst hospitality that hotel Samrat can offer. The management is irresponsible, inefficient, and not accountable. The only positives worth mentioning are their IT and the restaurant. Rest must hang their head in shame.

I recently had the pleasure of staying at Samrat Hotel because of its very good location and I found their rates are bit expensive. From the moment I walked in, the atmosphere was warm and welcoming. The staff were friendly and attentive. Our stay was not comfortable because room condition was really bad. Locker was not working. Bathroom was very dirty. The room itself was spacious but without proper cleaning its not. Sleeping beds was really in bad condition. Towels were also not good. I must say they need proper renovation of this hotel.

Hotel did not advise us that there is renovation going on. No bar facility, no restaurant. While checking in, nobody told us that there is no heating in the rooms. They misguided us completely. They provided us with a small heater, which made noise like a scooter. We asked them to replace the heat, but no one listened. It was a very cold night, and we suffered throughout the night. If I had paid through my credit card, I would have disputed the charges on the bases of poor service and misguid.

Although this is a 5 star hotel, one should not expect any 5 star-like appearance or service. A large part of the hotel is under renovation, the lobbies and common areas are untidy and room cleaning is below par at best. Buffet breakfast included in the package is average and can be improved tremendously. For the services and experience, it is hugely overpriced.

Very good star rating classic hotel, it is located in Embassy sourrounded area, India gate is near by only from this place.Around 10kms from airport, Breakfast will be the compliment like a buffet system. I enjoyed a Sounth indian varieties. It's like a North,South, and continentals. Rooms will be the quiet classic. Staffs behaviour very polite, and they extended my stay upto 2 hours. It is really appreciated. Cons: Like these star hotels always offer a instant Tea, cofee hot bevarages in our room itself. But here it is not available (we have kettle in the room). The location is quiet pleasant but if you want to search any near by small chats or T-shops that is not available. If you feel more costlier for foods, this hotel will allow to order from Swiggy,Zomato. But for having the foods hotel will not provide any plates or spoons.

They are so poor at managing. They told we will refund the money within a week but still not able to do so. It has been more than a month. I keep calling them and sent a couple of emails. They just say to me โ€œTalk to that person then some otherโ€. It is not my job to do your job. Why should I tell people to process my refund. In fact, that is their job. Such a poor hotel. I don't even know why this hostel is 5-star.

I recently had the pleasure of staying at the Samrat Hotel near the airport, and I must say it was an exceptional experience from start to finish. The location is incredibly convenient for travelers, as it's just a stone's throw away from the airport. Upon arriving, I was immediately impressed by the luxurious rooms that the hotel offers. The attention to detail in the room decor and amenities truly makes you feel pampered. The comfort and cleanliness exceeded my expectations. One of the highlights of my stay was the ample parking space available at the hotel. It's always a relief to find secure and convenient parking, especially when traveling with a vehicle. The reception staff were friendly and welcoming, making the check-in process smooth and hassle-free. They were always ready to assist with any inquiries or requests, which added to the overall positive impression of the hotel. Now, let's talk about the dining experience. The breakfast, lunch, and dinner options at the hotel's restaurant were nothing short of excellent. The variety and quality of dishes offered were impressive, catering to a range of tastes. It's clear that the culinary team takes pride in their work, and it shows in every bite. I also appreciated the prompt and efficient room service. Whether it was housekeeping or any additional requests, the staff were always courteous and responsive. In summary, my stay at the Samrat Hotel was truly exceptional. The combination of its convenient location near the airport, luxurious rooms, ample parking, excellent dining options, and top-notch service make it a standout choice for travelers. I wholeheartedly recommend the Samrat Hotel to anyone seeking a comfortable and memorable stay. Five stars all the way!

Some of the rooms are very old and that's what they've provided us as we had bulk booking and for a long duration too, it's difficult to live in rooms with no ventilation, at the washrooms should have exhaust. Honestly not a 5star experience while we've paid for it we'll enough.

2/ 3 wheelers disallowed - which i personally dint like as some areas in Delhi u can only travel in them. Construction is old. Am sure it must be costly with all Marble or wood, but the building is old. Meaning you would notice patches in paint on walls and old fashioned furniture/ curtains/ carpet. I noticed 2 cockroaches in room, and has to request for replacing the bedding owing to dirt stains. Foods and staff are good.

The service is pathetic, i booked the room for two guests for 2 days and requested for early check in and early check out due to sudden change in plan, I requested through mail for early check-in they responded to me with message as noted. When I reached hotel at 7:30am they asked me to wait fr an hour, that is also fine, later when they provided me the room, which i m nt comfortable..so requested for room change, which they informed ll change by 12pm (Because my original check-in time is 12pm), bt nt happened, evening again i went to reception and requested for room change, told we will call u, but still they haven't changed the room, no one cares about the customer issue, they just provided the room and ignore. I feel ola rooms are much better than this Hotel samrat. Paid around 7k for general room's.

Overall, given the price I paid (INR 18000) for 3 nights with complimentary breakfast, it wasn't a bad experience. However, I feel I need to sort out the main pros and cons so that others may judge for themselves how their stay would be at the hotel. PROS: -Very close to the embassies. -The Room I ultimately stayed in had nice bathroom facilities including hot water. -Very good complimentary breakfast service, probably the best I have ever had at a hotel -Very prompt room service including food and housekeeping with free bottled water CONS: -WiFi does not work at all. This is one thing I have seen reported in all reviews I came across, good or bad. -They have a tendency to dump old smelly rooms on you when you check in. Make sure you complain to reception if this is the case and change your room asap. The old room that I was given had the desk telephone covered in chocolate(probably the last guest ate chocolate as he was speaking over the receiver and they forgot to clean it) -They have very bad hotel taxi service which will overcharge you.

Rooms - Below Average, Not maintained at all. Bathrooms were not clean. Hotel Area- Huge, but again not maintained at all. Also renovation was going on there. And there were no AC in the lobby. Food - Taste is average. Presentation good. Service- Room service was good, the staff was polite. Reception experience- BAD! Starting from the time we called them for booking till the checkout the reception staff were not so polite. Even we asked for late check-out as we had a train 3 hours after the checkout time. They denied it totally and rudely. Cleanliness- Average. Overall Experience- If you have work related to the embassy, then only you should book this hotel.

I called the hotel 5 times and everytime they said that they are putting me on hold to check the availability and disconnected the call. Absolutely horrible experience. No proper room, lights, wifi, water and Bathrooms. Changed the room once and the other room was even worst. Charged extra 3k for room service which was not even worth it. Paid 24k for just 4 days. Reception staff had bad attitude and was reluctant in changing rooms. Not worth the money and time. Old low maintenance rooms .We checked in room 206 after a tiring flight journey..room lights were not working properly. Restroom flush was out of order, bath tub was broken n moreover after I washed my face I couldn't find the towel!!! How can u give a room without basic eminities n u call yourself 5star.. afterwards when we spoke to the manager he asked us to change room. The other room was better but there was no wifi..and again when we complained they asked us to move to a different room and the IT guy didn't even care ! Pathetic !!!

Worst five star anyone can stay in :( The day I moved in my room, there was no wifi (router did not give range in that room), I saw cockroaches while eating dinner after a very long flight. A good staff would just change the room after those complaints but they made me call multiple times to change the room. And finally when they did change my room and I moved to different room, the AC didnโ€™t work there at all. It was hot as hell and I literally sweated all night and had to keep my windows open (outside temperature was very low so that was even more uncomfortable) and the reception guy said that they have centralized AC so they have heater turned on which they canโ€™t change. This literally didnโ€™t feel anything like a five star

Absolutely poor experience, from service to rooms all are horrible. Rooms are not worth the money , very old bathrooms and almost rusted taps and showers, bedsheets, curtains are not washed , we see the marks every where. Wardrobes are broken. From service point of view all service guys enter the room when we open for anything, they don't know the manners to stand outside , won't have the courtesy to listen to us. I am scratching my head how many people have given better rating for this hotel.

Pros: Close to all embassies Complimentary breakfast is very good Service persons are very helpful Nice hot shower in bathroom Cons: Linens and pillow covers are stained It says 5 star hotel, but the facility is very old with lot of broken fixtures. No restaurants or shops near by Actually Ashoka hotel next door is better by looking at lobby and ambience.

I recently had the pleasure of staying at Samrat Hotel and I found their rates are bit expensive. From the moment I walked in, the atmosphere was warm and welcoming. The staff were friendly and attentive. Our stay was comfortable and enjoyable. The room itself was spacious, clean, and beautifully decorated, providing a perfect retreat after a long day of exploring the city.
