It's worth giving the maximum rating for everything. The ambience and design of the whole interior and exterior are just so grand. The ceiling at the Continental restaurant was incredible. Rooms are just so fine with an attached balcony and it felt less suffocating to be able to walk out of the room to get some air. All staff are doing their duty perfectly. I love it

The good: its a great place to stay. Serene and romantic with a dash of old world charm. The rooms are spacious and the breakfast is good with many live food counters. Its a great place to stay during the rainy season There are water fountains and a restaurant with a live band that takes you back to the 90s. You can spot birds from your window. Delicate furry little babies. The bad: view from the rooms is blocked by trees and foliage. Which is not exactly bad but still something could have been done to make things more relevant

It was a good and satisfactory stay. So I went there because I had a party and I was quite amazed by the service and their beautiful ambience. It covers such a huge area and even has options for you to dine in the garden or in the party hall. The service as expected is amazing and they have a piano on their level floor for anyone to play and that's very generous. Moreover, the walls are full of beautiful paintings and pictures and one click number of photos in here. The variety of their food is so good and so is their taste. The room service by the way was mind-blowing

In honour of the unknown Indian masters commissioned by the East India Company in the late 18th and early 19th centuries, and in keeping with the commitment of taking Indian art to wider audiences, @dag.world presents the first-ever exhibition in India dedicated to an extraordinary selection of Company Paintings of Indian birds, entirely from the gallery collection. Combining the delicacy and details of Mughal atelier-trained artists with the refinement and rationalisation of European art, the works signify a hybrid Indian art of rare and exceptional beauty, a style unique to the Indian subcontinent whose patronage was almost entirely British. Opening today at DAG, The Claridges, New Delhi, the pioneering exhibition features 125 paintings that illustrate the development of Company Paintings through a single genre. Reposted from unzip delhi

A good, old style hotel. Nice ambience, good food. Stayed there for 2 days. Breakfast is quite lavish. Lunch and dinner can improve in choices. Doesn't allow 3 wheelers to enter hotel. So if you arrive from an outing/shopping etc in an auto, you have to get down outside and walk in, with your bags. Classism in the centre of the Indian capital 👎. Wonder what they will do if the Mexican ambassador has to come; she has an auto as her official vehicle 🤔

This is an amazing hotel and restaurant at the same time. The building is so beautiful and attractive both from inside and outside that you want to come here repeatedly. Moreover I really like their services and their food. The staff is also very polite and ready to help. They have a lot many paintings hanged on their beautiful gold shiny walls which look way too glamorous. All in all this place is too good to find any shortcoming.

Visited Claridges to attend the media launch event. The Viceroy hall was large enough to accommodate around 100 people with proper distance between people. The pool area was quite convenient for organizing a buffet. The food was very good. The hotel is centrally located, so participants enjoyed access to the city center during their stay. Over all a good experience.

I spent 2 nights at the hotel. I had the privacy light on so they wouldn't come in my room. When I returned from my tour the room was cleaned. The main problem I had is when I returned from the tour one of my adapters was missing from my room. I talked with the front desk and they were sending the housekeeping supervisor to my room, after about 1 1/2 hours no manager. I had to leave for dinner. As of check out my adapter is still missing and no supervisor has talked to me. KEEP YOUR BELONGINGS LOCKED UP IF YOU LEAVE THE ROOM.

What a fabulous hotel. It is beautiful and the staff is fantastic. They will bend over backwards to please you. What makes the ambiance is the beautiful piano music of Pradeep Kumar. Stay here. It is a special place.

My first stay, was an indelible experience. Royal atmosphere....larger than life rooms and not to miss the wooden flooring , very English. The restaurants were amazing , though we had a Chinese meal , which was authentic. So do look forward to check in again.

Food is average. Nothing to write home about really. Dishonest business practice was spotted - they served the eggs benedict without the salmon. Hilarious. Their takeaway food packaging is atrocious. Oh, and they often forget to provide the bill while, umm, I dunno - billing. Claridges going to the dogs. Shame really.

The first "5 star" hotel I have stayed in that isn't so much a 5 star, as wishes it was a 5 star. Where to start, Given the wrong room on check in Crib for our child is too small, no other options Took two days for the hotel to find a mattress that wasn't made of iron to sleep on. Air conditioning smelt constantly of food in our room, presumably from the kitchen, this is unpleasant after several days. Member of staff entered my room when we were getting dressed, uninvited. Half the hotel is being refurbished, there is constant noise and dust, no apology or notice of this when we booked. Steam room is broken Pool is freezing and not accessible at the weekend as the hotel holds endless private functions. Non Indian food in this hotel is dire, full of salt. Room service is slow, staff frequently forget to bring the whole meal, no apology or refund The room is run down, taps spewed brown water on several occasions. Tv needed to be repaired everyday Breakfast buffet is mediocre, with slow service. I saw management disappointing their staff who to be fair are doing their best. Always a sign of poor management blaming lower level staff. Gym is unequipped. Despite telling the staff we needed a room for up to 6 weeks, we came to rebook and (mercifully as it turns out) the hotel was fully booked and we needed to move. Redeeming qualities, Housekeeping were excellent and the gentleman on the door are absolute gems. The drivers were polite and helpful. So to sum up, this hotel is dreadful. I would strongly advise to consider staying elsewhere. I have had better stays in rural India in 3 star hotels.

Honest review after using services. Very poor service, they will not let you enter in swimming pool until you have your own costume, who carries costume with them to 5 star hotels? Infact they will not arrange it for you, even if you ready to pay for it. Never coming back. Suggest you not to waste your money on this hotel

One of the most luxurious 5 star hotels in Delhi. Located heart of the city and the ambience is worth mentioning. The rooms are spacious and are having right kind of furnitures. The best part is environmental friendly sustainable ways have been adapted in the hotel in many ways. Use of plastic is minimum. Staff members are courteous and helpful.

Rooms quite spacious. Rooms have old setup with no plug point next to the bed and old plug points. Best part of the room is WiFi connectivity. Very important now a days and the hotel has ensured a good WiFi connectivity. The best I have experienced till now Food awesome, could have been bit more affordable. Staff at the restaurant and the hotel are awesome Ambience awesome,

I was there for 3 nights with german group. Room, location and service are excellent. Specially the Restaurant has left the best impressions! Delicious dishes, beautiful presentation, list and wonderful dessert. I recommend to everyone! I would like to visit this property again and again. Mr. Om dhyani (restaurant manager) and his team doing great job.

The Claridges is undergoing a much needed refurbishment from the ground floor rooms up. If you do say, insist on one of the new rooms. The more premium room is pictured. Other rooms have a more modern look/feel. The gym is without doubt one of the best I’ve seen of any hotel gym globally and the restaurant selection is wonderful. Once the pool area and remaining rooms are complete (I estimate end-2023) this will be one of Delhi’s top hotels.

Overall the experience was fine. I would not however classify the property as a five star hotel. Rooms need significant renovation and are on the smaller side. There is also very little insulation between them so you hear everything in the adjacent room and hallway. The main restaurant was adequate. Staff was attentive though and pleasant.

I stayed for 3 nights in a deluxe balcony room. The room had all the facilities you could need, including a steamer for your clothes which was very handy. Every single member of staff was friendly and could not do enough to help you. It is approximately 15 minute walk to a local market for shops and restaurants. I would definitely recommend this as a place to stay.

This is a simply great hotel. It has the best gym in the city, a lovely pool, great breakfast (with Pickwick's famous pastries), and the staff are A++. Staff is attentive and helpful. Rooms are spotless, large, and well appointed. My #1 choice when I'm in Delhi.

I have stayed during 13-15 October , I got the mix feeling good and bad. I believed the staff at night time was so so. Our stay was noted for Anniversary but nothing was set up but this not serious for us. It surprise me that there were zero complimentary bottle of water fo guest. We asked the staff to get taxi and it never come. Our room floor 233 , wooden floor need to be redone. Overall the stay was not bad. The bedsheet , bed ,pillow quality are good. Wifi is fast. Kudo to Nisha and Abhay to ask us during check out and try to rectify the situation. Thank you very much for the cake. They were delicious. We took taxi to Khan market for dinner about 200-250 INR only for 5 mins away.

I just spent a fabulous week at the Claridges Hotel. My friend joined me for the first 3 nights. My stay in Delhi, was so much more pleasant and smooth with the Claridges Experience! Let me start with the pros: Location: A plus. This is the best location by far of all the 5 star hotels in New Delhi. You are never more than 3-5 kms from most of the shops, restaurants, museums. Khan market is close, with the best shopping and cafes. Decor: Just gorgeous! The flower arraagements everywhere were superb, specially the roses. Room and bathroom- The newly renovated ground floor suite was beautifully decorated and very luxurious. Our black marble bathroom with antique brass fixtures was one of the most spectacular bathrooms I have ever been in! It was absolutely gorgeous. We stayed in No 6. Restaurants and Food- Fantastic. We had breakfast daily at the Lutyens cafe. There was quite a spread with an extensive hot and cold buffet and an omelette/ waffle table. The assortment of bread and cheeses were very good. I also dined at the Thai restaurant which was excellent. Separate review. I have always stayed at the Oberoi and I think the quality of the buffet in comparison to the Oberoi, is not as good. e.g. The idlis were not fresh. There is no fruit juice station. The fruit selection is limited. The uppama was not well made. So, even though Lutyens was very good, it was not outstanding like the Thai restaurant at the hotel. Staff- Was always smiling and willing to assist. Duty managers and Front Desk staff were very kind and efficient. In Room Dining: Fantastic! I was unwell and on two separate mornings, ordered masala chai early am. It arrived steaming hot within 5 minutes, exactly as I asked. Cons: Service: Lacking. Service in the Lutyens Cafe was haphazard. There were several staff floating around but did not seem to know what to do with themselves. They were not trained as in the Oberois to keep repeatedly coming to the table to check. The garden restaurant/ bar staff were especially inattentive. They always seemed to be looking in a direction other than our table. We had drinks there on two evenings and both times had to get up and call the staff for assistance. Pool side: One evening there was a party in the garden so we sat by the pool for a drink. There was no one to serve us. We had to go inside and get a waiter. And, they wouldn't serve us food until I asked for the FB manager. If the garden has an event, please arrange an alternate venue for hotel guests to enjoy the outdoors with service. The most glaring issues were with the housekeeping, which on the first day rearranged and repositioned my toiletries to make room for the hotel amenities!! This was unacceptable. After all, I am trying to make my hotel room feel like my home for a week. The last problem is with the efficiency of the room design-All the room lights except the bedside lamps, are switched on with one master switch. If my friend was in the living area and I in the bedroom we could not separate the lighting. This is a big flaw. The bedroom slippers provided are guaranteed to make you fall and hurt yourself. Even though I threw them in the waste, they appeared every day by my bedside! Even though I placed my shoes in a corner where they would not be seen, every single day they would be moved and placed on a mat in full view of the entrance and sofa as they were a museum piece of art!!!There are too many amenity boxes in the small bathroom leaving little place for ones personal belongings. The limited counter space in the bathrooms has to be made available for guest beloingings, not stuffed with fancy marble boxes. These are small issues that can be corrected including the larger one of training the staff( specially housekeeping and Lutyens/ garden) to be more focused on guest satisfaction. If Claridges straightens out these minor wrinkles, it will be, far and above, the best hotel in New Delhi. I will definitely return and recommend it to all my friends and colleagues.

As a photographer, this place has made me crave for my camera. Sevilla, one of the finest restaurants in Delhi. I was there only at the restaurant for a meeting regarding photography and my friends insisted that I will love all the sides of it. Indeed, wonderful place with wonderful staff. I read few reviews where people have mentioned staff was rude, I luckily found the best attention at the restaurant. One of the staff members at Sevilla, Harshal took care of the whole group. Very elegant and sophisticated. Food is awesome and can trouble your stomach to fill in more. Spanish-themed hotel restaurant with alfresco tables & a Southern Europe & Moroccan menu. A must try corn pudding.

Hotel claridges is located in the heart of the city . A nice and convenient destination of Delhi as India gate Janpath and Central secretariat is very close. As of today services rendered by star hotels are very good certainly there's alot of change as services are improving thanks to stiff competition and awareness.

I checked in to a horrible room with dirty couches, broken floor. upon request, my room was changed and the " newly refurbished room" had a broken chair seat, broken shower ( dispenses only super hot water ), Broken TV connection, Broken Fridge. Overall a horrible experience. I couldn't even get my room key for over an hour. I complained to the duty manager and he said " We will arrange a call back " no one has called me so far. Booking made via MMT, which recommends the property. Just a good location. DO NOT WASTE YOUR MONEY AS I DID, GO TO TAJ or Le Meridian as there are several good 5 stars in the area.

  • 3/5 Sujay S. 2 years ago on Google
The rooms could have been better for this price point.....the hotel needs a lot of renovation work in the rooms...other common areas, lobby etc still gives all the feel of a 5 star luxury hotel, but certainly the rooms need improvement. Food and room service is on point and nice.

  • 1/5 Sachin A. 2 years ago on Google
The room provided is literally low quality, the nearby hotels like sheraton and others are much better at the given price. I had to call the house keeping guys to clean the room as I entered. The room was dusty. The linen were clean. Washroom is small and very old styled. I plan not to take shower and leave.

Claridges has two of my favourite restaurants. The Indian restaurant Dhaba is amazing even the baigan bharta is great there. Sevilla started as a spanish restaurant but now it’s a restaurant that iffer Italian and spanish food . The ambiance in the outdoor is most romantic in delhi .

The hotel is situated close to Janpath in New Delhi and easily accessible. The surroundings are green full of trees. The food is also tasty. Certain rooms are bigger when compared to the other hotels in its class. However, there is only limited area for having casual meetings.

Would not recommend. A guy staying in adjacent room was able to open our door with his card key. No privacy can be guaranteed after such an event. The Claridges is one of the oldest star hotels of Delhi. The location is superb. The building is traditionally old setting. With a pool side banquets for parties, the place is more famous fornits authentic Indian cuisine restaurant Dhaba. Coffee shop has recently been renovated and given a new look which is marvellous. Tea and coffee in the lawn is one of the major attractions.

Breakfast was good, but they need to have more tables for it. The hotel was usually clean but at places like corners etc it needs to be cleaned too, you just can't hide it :-p. The lobby etc and the terrace were not clean, there were stains on glasses, etc. The room was changed after it was having boiler noise during early morning hours, but even the next room had morning sounds despite complaining they had no options. The Internet had issues and had to call reception multiple times to get it fixed. The TV remote wasn't working the first day so had to get that fixed too. These things are basic housekeeping which should have been checked before. The location is amazing but would have preferred better services. The hotel gallery had beautiful paintings and etchings but the DAG exhibitions aren't great, they display very average work, was expecting a better gallery at Claridges

Highlights: - Top Notch for Ambience & Variety of Dine-In options - My Fav is Sevilla & Dhaba - Location & Service is awesome - Food quality is amazing I have been going to Claridges from childhood days with my parents and have known & seen the place for more than 25 years if not more. The Sevilla then (not sure what was the name those days) had a pond with fishes & tortoises with lush greenery, it so much felt like a tropical place. Since then have visited Claridges numerous times & was never disappointed. They have the Dhaba now in Gurgaon Cyber Hub too, but I love to come back to Delhi for the food & the ambience. If you admire quality living & food & nature, this is one of such places to be. Highly Recommended. Enjoy!

We had an enjoyable dim sum lunch. If I recall correctly 32 types of dim sums are on offer and its impossible to try them all so one has to pick & choose according to ones own preferences. After that we were offered a main course and desert. The restaurant was nicely done up and service was quick.

Great ambience. The place is beautiful. However, the restaurant is exceptionally expensive. The prices are too high for such small portions. One will only go to have a private evening. The staff is very friendly. A place to visit at least once for an extra special evening if you are ready to spend and are ok with small portions.

We loved the food so much that we didn't feel like eating anywhere else! The Chinese food at Jade was absolutely delicious and so was the Indian food. The breakfast was delicious also. All the staff are super friendly, kind, and helpful. Enjoyed the views from my balcony along with the amazing artworks and paintings that fill this beautiful hotel. I was impressed to find a book dedicated to artists and their artworks at the Claridges! Thank you so much! And shout out to Mr. Ritesh for the delicious cake, you're the best! :) Namaste!

I had dinner at Jade, which serves Chinese cuisine. The food was delicious but spice levels could be bit on the higher side in vase you are visiting with a foreigner. Make sure you let your server know about your spice tolerance levels. Make sure you book your table in advance as the space is limited. The table that seats 3/4 people is in a sort of enclosed environment, which appeared to me a bit claustrophobic. We thus requested to be seated out. Since we were in early for dinner, the restaurant staff was kind enough to let us sit on the bigger table. But, otherwise a very good place. The staff is very cordial and helpful

Definitely worth 5 stars and will be returning in the future.

A lovely place. Just the right level of service, gorgeous rooms and excellent facilities. We had two rooms for 2 nights and felt it was very good value for money. We'd love to come back one day.

Located at prime location, looks fine from outside. Reception area also fine. I didn't visit the rooms as I didn't stay. I had gone for an event there. But by the structure of the property and aesthetics I could make out the quality of other places as well. The let down was the services... I tried to enquire on call but the calls were not being responded properly. They were not aware of event in their hotel and which place is located at which side.. no information.. they were rude as they repeatedly disconnected on more query. Later calls were not picked up. On visiting and complaining, there was no response from manager as well. When we were complaining another customer sitting in the lounge also echoed our complaint... still manager was not willing to take action.. this response was pathetic and shocking from a 5 ⭐ hotel. Nobody asked for water or anything.. very bad experience.

I love it

Truly amazing Stay at Claridges. One of the best in my life. Nisha and the rest of the staff are very kind and helpful. They worked in Order to give us the room before check in time, but since for a mistake the Room was not the kind that we booked, they upgraded it to a suite with jacuzzi. The property is wonderful, clean and richly furnished. Pool and everything is quiet. Breakfast dinner and buffet really generous and fodd was eccellent. They also let us keep the Room until 16 with non extra charge. At aura bar you can have tasty drinks while enjoying live music. Thanks for everything.

The hotel boasts modern amenities, friendly staff, and a central location. Comfortable rooms, a well-maintained pool, and diverse dining options enhance the overall experience. However, occasional noise from nearby nightlife may disturb light sleepers. Overall, a solid choice for both business and leisure travelers.

I recently stayed here and mixed experience. The room was clean and comfortable, but the overall atmosphere felt a bit impersonal. The amenities were standard, and the location was convenient. However, the Wi-Fi connection was unreliable at times. While the staff was polite, the service lacked a personal touch. Overall, it’s a decent choice for a short stay, but don’t expect anything exceptional.

I stayed 4 nights here, and the experience was magnificent. You can have free breakfast, it's on the house. The ambiance is serene, and once inside you can be far away from the hustle and bustle of the streets.

Look this is not a joke. The overall experience here is great. But there are problems. I want a bathroom upgrade for old Imperial Palace Hotel. Claridges has this Japanese theme to their bathrooms I especially enjoyed today. As for Indian food, go to the Imperial. Claridges is best to give the ode to the Englander while in India. It’s only fitting that Imperial does both English and Indian cuisine about as great. I tear for the Imperial from Claridges. I want a piano and a piano man for the Imperial. Tea and cookies experience are on par, with the edge going to Claridges. I do dream a dream for those heading off to Claridges to receive a 500 rupee discount if they headed off to the nearby Gandhi ashram.
