We had a very poor experience at Holiday Inn Delhi Airport. We had booked it for 5 hours. Once we got to the Gate 1 ticketing counter, we were told to call the hotel for them to escort us through the elevators. We called the hotel and they said someone would come down in 5 minutes. We ended up waiting there for 45+ minutes. We called them multiple times and one time I told them to give a more correct time estimate since my kids were tired and hungry. The person on the call kept saying 5 minutes. We will definitely skip this hotel and book a hotel in aero city next time.

The hotel is extremely difficult to find. I agree with all other reviews on this topic. Location is great. Rooms are nice. Staff is okay. But the arrival experience is THE WORST I have experienced anywhere in the world. A few simple signs and a welcome email with arrival instructions would be great. Also: The front desk does not answer the phone, which makes it hard to (a) enter the airport and (b) get a security escort. Skip this hotel. There are many other options in Aerocity. Better to stay there.

If you arrive at T3 late night with a domestic flight and you have an early international flight to catch it is very hard to find this hidden hotel. I found no signs in the domestic transit area and no guidance on the hotel web pages. Finally I found a phone in the arrivals hall to call the hotel for pick up. In the morning however I found signs in the international transit area, but that was too late. Hope other customers with a similar transit from domestic to international will get a better guidance

Rooms were good but reception staff needs more training. It look like that they work on assumptions ( they assumed that the booking is for a single person, they assumed that taxi is booked without luggage, they assumed that the customer are aware how to operate TV without a remote etc, etc, etc. If you are booking a taxi service from them, make sure to get them to confirm whether they have understood the requirements or not. They don't have the acumen to ask it themselves. On a positive note, breakfast was very good and the rooms were good too.

I have stayed here couple of times before and had a pleasant experience. But, my review is on my current booking from June 16th, 2022. We did not get to stay here although we had a confirmed booking before our international travel 8 hours later. Made our journey so hectic between Holiday Inn Staff and Delhi airport itself. Process in Delhi airport is ridiculous and Holiday Inn staff made it even more difficult. I couldn’t stay with them because I didn’t have hard copy boarding pass for my international travel since my origin counter dis not issue one, but I had an electronic boarding pass. Also, I didn’t clear immigration, so our family of 4 had to wander around in Delhi airport for hours before our next flight @7:40am. Mind you, my family was connecting passengers with our luggage checked in all the way to our final destination. I am an IHG member as well. I had to go through several phone calls to get an answer since some of the Holiday Inn can’t explain it due to language barrier. I am not a Hindi speaking personnel, but I can understand some. Reservation was even made over the phone since we didn’t want any unnecessary complications. Apparently, if you are an international passenger, they need a hard copy boarding pass to be admitted to the hotel. This day and age it’s an unnecessary requirement. I hate to speculate, but I think the place was overbooked and didn’t have space for us as I saw them turning away everyone of them.

I have made a reservation at this hotel from 2:00am to 5:00am. As mentioned by the hotel, I was supposed to meet the representative at their desk next to Check-in counter A, gate number 1 before security. However, there is no person at this desk and only a phone kept there. I tried to contact the hotel using this phone for 90minutes or so but no one turned up. Since i already made the payment and had no other option i kept waiting there for 90 minutes. Later i happen to see a hotel staff passing by (identified him by the holiday inn logo on his shirt!) and he guided me to the hotel. Essentially, i could use only 1 hour of my reservation because of the unresponsiveness of the hotel front desk. Beware of this if you are making a reservation at this hotel.

When working on reception desk, your key competency should be your ability to check people in quickly, especially if one already holds a booking. Why does it take you 25 minutes to fumble in puzzlement with your computer? Why do think me and my work colleague WANT TO SHARE THE SAME BED? Why can't you work out, even though looking at passports, which is a first name and which is a surname? Mysteriously incompetent. And for a 12 hour booking you provide me with one teabag to enjoy. Thanks a lot!! Additional edit: I've just checked my credit card statement - you've charged me for 3 rooms rather than 2. Holiday Inn, you need to lift your game. I'll be in touch to get some credits for this incompetency.

One might think the location is perfect for early flight departure. It's not. Getting in the hotel itself is a big task. Asking around you might find somebody at the airport where to find a phone to escort you in (It's in the left end of the entrances, customer lounge or something). Then you are walking a while around the terminal for x-ray and through some service corridors to the hotel (it has no clear entrance). Also checking out can easily take half an hour, which is not nice in the morning.

Room and hotel facilities themselves are of good quality. However, the service was extremely unproffessional. First, when we arrived the hotel helpdesk in the domestic arrival hall, it was unmanned at the time, and the provided telephone for calling the hotel front desk was not working. After waiting a while for someone to arrive there, we discover that they held a printed record of arriving guests with full names and dates lying open on the helpdesk for anyone to see. Once a hotel staff member arrived, I wanted to ask him about how and when to print my boarding pass (at that time I thought the hotel was after security which turned out not to be the case for domestic wing) and the answer I got was "sorry no english". The staff member took us after some further waiting and confusion with their internal security checks (I guess that very bureaucratic procedure is required by Indian law, so maybe the hotel is not to blame for that) we arrived finally to the hotel reception. The check-in itself was smooth but getting the hotel wifi to actually work for us took two more visits to the reception and some 20 more minutes due to a mistake they made when generating the password for us. Interestingly, they wrote the password for us on a piece of paper that contained full names and times of arrival for other arriving guests on that day. At check-out when I was paying the hotel by card, they just put my card into the reader and I didn't see what they did with that. When they gave me the reader, I did not see the price but only the text requesting for the pin. When I examined later the receipt, it turned out the they had applied a conversion to my bank's currency without asking for my permission. This increased the price by 6.25 %, which to me almost seems to be a fraud. After paying, some time was again spent as the staff examined our passports, flight tickets and baggage before they let us out of the hotel premises. We also tried to get the breakfast that was promised to be served at 05:30, but it was delayed and we had to leave before it was ready.

I have had the most beautiful airport transit experience staying at Holiday Inn. The credit goes to the hotel staff that went above and beyond for extending their services. I was feeling nauseated, with very less time to check in for my flight. The hotel staff went out of their way to get me some medicines so I feel comfortable. They made sure I reach my check in counter and get my boarding passes. Thanks Holiday Inn at T3 for making my solo traveling experience so comfortable.

We booked this hotel in India during our flights from Nepal-India-Dubai-Chicago. Our stay was from Nov 6 to 7, and we actually had a 13-hour layover in India, so we booked a hotel. The issue arose when we couldn't access terminal 3, where the hotel is located, without a boarding pass. When we approached the desk for the pass, we were informed they only start issuing it at midnight, considering our morning flight on the next day. Personally, I want to thank the airport staff for their assistance, especially in light of our baby's presence. They helped us obtain the boarding pass. Without our baby, accessing the hotel terminal would have been challenging, if not almost impossible. While I appreciate the staff's help, there is a need for a change in the system. If this issue isn't addressed, I may reconsider booking a hotel to avoid risking my money. Apart from that, the hotel and food were excellent, and the customer service was satisfactory.

I recently stayed at the Hotel Of Inn express in New Delhi, and I was very impressed. The hotel is centrally located, close to shopping, restaurants, and public transportation. The staff was friendly and helpful, and the room was clean and comfortable. The bed was especially comfortable, and I had a great night's sleep. The breakfast buffet was also very good, with a wide variety of options to choose from. I especially enjoyed the Karelian pies. Overall, I had a wonderful stay at the Hotel Inn express , and I would definitely recommend it to anyone looking for a comfortable and convenient place to stay in New Delhi. I love this place.

WARNING: they tried to double charge me. Absolutely >terribly< rude service. Extremely difficult to find the hotel (if you’re outside security you have to call them to come get you and they don’t answer the phone, if you’re past security follow the signs for hotel, turn right twice, at the second set of elevators use the one of two elevators that actually go up to level 5 (in one of them if you push 5 nothing happens so need to catch the other elevator). When I finally got a hold of someone who was able to figure out where to access the hotel from so I could check in, the woman behind the desk laughed when I said I’d been calling trying to reach them. Rooms are dated rough. 👎 - Bedding: sheets were clean and to the standard of a 3-star hotel - Front Desk Staff: do not seem interested in helping customers, do not seem organized - Bathroom: clean - Soundproofing: was only there from 10pm-3am and did not hear anything - Room: I don’t know why it looks so beat up, wallpaper coming off and dirty walls, with modern touches 🤷🏻‍♂️

An absolutely terrible experience. I would NEVER stay here again. They “trap” you in the airport. The staff was rude, the directions were confusing and it was overpriced. To top it off, when we finally went to sleep the reception called us 2 hours later in the middle of the night to ask us to pay extra for the second person in the room. Do not make this mistake and stay here. Go to Aerocity instead.

Don't book this at the last minute. This hotel had the most confusing check in process - you have to call a landline telephone beside the oversized baggage to get their staff to come downstairs and scan your bags then escort you. The phone did not work - they couldn't hear us and/or were not picking up and the phone number on the website did not work either. We stood there with a huge crowd of people waiting for over 45 minutes wondering what was going on. The hotel is also really expensive, and they don't tell you you can book it "hourly" until the last second, at which point it's too late. We also had to walk through construction to get to our rooms. I did not feel safe at all. The rooms were nice / had a cool view but it wasn't worth it.

Very nice stay. Once you find the entrance on the left side of floor 2 (outside security), then call their phone, it's pretty fast and straightforward to get in. The stay itself was pretty pleasant. There are some angry reviews about time to get to the hotel, and I didn't see anything like that.

Have been there the second time. Although it's a bit tricky to find out the hotel, the staff at the helping desk are their to assist. Hazel free check-in and very nice breakfast. The washroom could have been a bit more tidy. Had a pleasant stay with my toddler who enjoyed the cafeteria view of landing and takeoff.

Worst service I have ever seen ! Delayed response that too literally 2-3 hours later everything was done.. I suggest this only if it’s urgent or have only 2-3 hours between flights to go with this hotel. Small for a family with a kid but for 2 adults this would be enough. But initially the air conditioner had some issues which was rectified after informed.

The room, service and food were good. But it was very hard to get in. We waited outside the airport gates. The security won't let us in unless someone from the hotel comes to meet us. It took more than an hour to be able to connect with the hotel front counter

Go to this hotel only in case of last option situations. When you pay 12K INR for a room, you would expect basic things like staff answering phones(especially when the entire hotel check-in process is dependent on it), or Wifi working. Unfortunately, our experience left a bit of bad taste. Let me start by saying, room itself was OK. However, access to Hotel is a nightmare. In our case, we had to call 15-20 times at front desk at around 2:30 PM on day of check in, had to wait at least 30-40 mins before we could even speak to anyone. There was no one at the front desk for considerable time. Even once the phone was picked up, then the staff on the phone was rude in giving instructions, didn't understand our frustration for having to wait so long, and ultimately gave incorrect instructions for going to departure terminal in front of Gate 8 and calling from hotel's phone booth. Surprise again, there was no phone booth there. Staff didnt tell us that hotel facilitates access to COVID testing and back( we found about it later from the coordinator). After COVID testing, we started our second attempt for check in around 4:30 PM ish and were finally in our room after couple of hours struggle, Again, we had to go through all the ordeal, trying to locate the phone booth, requesting for information from CISF officers, when again phone lines for hotel were not answered. Finally, our lucky chance arrived and once phone was answered and the staff on the phone arranged for pickup. Steps after that were sort of OK with no hiccups. Oh BTW, did I say, Hotel Wifi didnt work initially( no one could connect) and I had to bring it to front desk's notice. They claimed it was fixed after half an hour but I could connect to wifi only with sites still not loading. I chose to use cell phone network instead of engaging staff again. Food ordered was 50-50. One dish was good, other was sort of OK, not great.

We had a very long layover between our flights and decided to stay at the Holiday Inn Express located inside the Delhi Airport. Very convenient for travelers with long layovers, rooms were a nice size and clean. The staff were extremely friendly and accommodating. Nawab Shah met me outside baggage claim and accompanied me to the hotel until I checked-in. There was another staff who accompanied me the next morning to check into my flight. I would recommend this to family and friends.

Rupa Shah was amazing!! I missed my flight and was stranded at the airport with my 2 year old. Rupa saw me crying and upset and calmed me down and helped me get a room. The rooms were very nice and clean. The reception desk was very pleasant and the restaurant staff were also very sweet. 5/5 recommend! Will definitely book in advance if I have any flights out of Delhi again.

Zero stars if possible. I traveled for ~36 hours landing at 2am in the morning. I booked this hotel months in advance so that I could have a place to shower and rest after the long travel. Upon booking, the hotel contacted me to ask about my flight information. I shared my flight information with them. No issues. Upon arrival at the airport I had a hard time FINDING the hotel in the first place (evidently you're not allowed to walk to the hotel by yourself, and someone has to come collect & escort you up). This individual had my name & reservation information on the printed sheet he had in his hand, but told me that they CANCELED my reservation because I did not have any outgoing flights the next day. LIVID. ABSOLUTELY LIVID. I can't even file a complaint on IHG's website because my confirmation is "invalid" because the checkout date has not passed yet.

I’d give this place a zero if I could. I’ve called the front desk twice to have someone meet me at the transfer terminal (for international landed flights in terminal 3). Part of the issue is with the airport staff who won’t let you through to the hotel. Combined with the lack of assistance for the hotel to send someone as promised, this experience has been terrible.

  • 4/5 Poushali P. 2 years ago on Google
Very cooperative staff. They send someone to take you to the Hotel from wherever you are, within the Airport, upon giving them a call. Rooms are well maintained. Variety in food menu could have been better. Great service, overall!

Great hotel for a transit stay. Cordial staff, friendly welcoming. Finding the hotel and entering it is bit cumbersome. I wish they can make it easy. Good food options as well. Highly recommended. Mr.Manoj and Mr.Deepak in food court provided great service.

I had a long layover and was getting ready for a very long flight, so I decided to get a room. The room wasn’t cheap for just a few hours, but I guess they would still have go service the room regardless if it was 4 hours or an entire night, so it wasn’t terrible. The room was very nice and although it wasn’t big, it had all the amenities you’d need for a short stay. There was a desk, nice bathroom and a comfy bed.

Perspective of traveler transiting through from international to domestic. The rating is NOT for the hotel or the room or the staff but it is for the effort it takes to get to the place from time you walk out of the gate. You go through 2 security checks and that takes time, the biggest time wasted is that you wait to get into an elevator that can fit only one party at a time. It took us 30 minutes to get past this area alone and then get to the hotel. The staff were helpful but they really can’t do much in these cases. Took around 90 minutes from gate to hotel room. We had to be in check in counter 2 hours prior and so our net time in the room was 4 hours - not worth the 15000 INR that we paid. My suggestion is to book a hotel in aero city and have the hotel hold the placard and with car service. Guaranteed you will save at least half of the time and get to bed or shower quickly

Impossible to find. No signs. No one at a very large airport knows where it is. Not even the Information Desk! When I finally found it after 1 hour of looking the room had no windows and the air conditioner did not work. So where is it? In the very back left corner of the international departures hall. Small, basically unmarked desk next to an overhead sign that says NO ENTRY - STAFF ONLY. And it’s behind where they store all the baggage carts. The people staffing the desk are airport employees wearing light blue airport uniforms - the same uniforms as other employees who I asked and had no idea where the airport is. What makes it worse is that they want you to have a boarding pass for your flight. But I was flying Turkish Air and the airport desk only opens 4 hrs before the flight. But I was 7 hours ahead of my flight - which is why I wanted the hotel! They said they’d take a mobile boarding pass - but it is an international flight, which often means no boarding pass. When I finally convinced them I actually had a flight, an employee of the airport had to take me to the hotel. Which is through a STAFF ENTRY corridor, upstairs, and behind a set of utility doors that are completely unmarked or painted. It looks like you could be walking into a utility closet. All that said, I’m not sure this is Holiday Inn’s fault or the airport.

I was skeptical before my stay at this hotel but I was pleasantly surprised during my stay of more than 10 hours before catching my international flight. Hotel was up to the mark right from picking me up, breakfast arrangement, satisfactorily answered my questions during my stay, faster check out. I would definitely stay again in this hotel during my future trips.

In short, good hardware, terrible software: The rooms are good - no complaints there. Fitness limited but okay for an overning stay. Cafe/restaurant is very slow - we had waited about 20 minutes before we received the drinks, and even longer to receive our meals (likely pre-fabricated/re-heated from frozen products). Initially, the waiter told us that they have no imported beer; later, we discoveted they actually have Hoegarden (but only a poor stock of 4 bottles). The breakfast was disappointing - basically a package you would get in an airplane (e.g., "fresh juice" means a small boxed juice with a straw). But the worst thing was to actually get to the hotel - it took us about 90 minutes from the time we arrived before Terminal 3. First, we could not reach the hotel through any of the phone numbers given at the website and GMaps. We managed to get a booking only throgh some central hotline of Holiday Inn. When we wanted to get into the terminal to get to the hotel, the guard told us we cannot enter because our flight was only the next day (we arrived in the afternoon, our flight was the next morning so we wanted to spend the night in the hotel - what a surprise!). He told us that we can enter only if someone from the hotel comes to pick us up - which was impossible to arrange since nobody at the hotel's reception desk cared to answer our phone calls. Luckily, we managed to pursuade the guard to go inside the terminal and somehow contact someone from the hotel. Finally, after some more time, the hotel guy came and took us in. Overall, the value of the stay does not justify the price (even after we got about 20% discount based on our complaints), this is not the Holiday Inn level of service. I am giving the hotel 2 stars just because the beds were so comfortable and I really enjoyed the hot shower after 3 weeks of backpacking in Ladakh.

The air india lounge bar is closed due to excise tax and the other premium lounges are closed. So far this is the best lounge in the international airport. United provided a voucher for the lounge that includes food and 2 drinks. This is actually at the holiday inn express hotel. Walk past the check in desk and the lounge is on the far side of the hotel on level 5.
