National Philatelic Museum is located at Dak Bhawan, New Delhi. All the postal stamps issued by the Department of Posts are displayed here. Amazing collection of all the postal stamps could be seen here. One can trace the development of Philatelics at this museum. This place is a heaven for all the Philatelic lovers. Newer issuances of the postal stamps could be seen and bought at the Philatelic section of the Head Post Office Parliament Street.

The National Philatelic Museum at Dak Bhawan, New Delhi, India, is operated by the Department of Post. The facility. which is housed on the ground floor of a building, underwent a redevelopment in 2011. It now hosts an amphitheater for presentations and discussions, a library and an area where artists can be seen at work, as well as displays of postage stamps and related items. The Museum has displayed number of frames in which exhibits of Post Independence era stamps can impress any Visitor with its charm. The frames have been arranged beautifully in different sections like section for Sheetlets, section for different themes, Section for Stamps from different countries. The museum organises philatelic workshops on regular basis with the students of different schools. Children discover many stories that stamps can tell and appreciate how these colorful and attractive stamps are educational yet fun for them. The museum also has a souvenir shop which offers variety of philatelic products like stamps, year packs, stamp albums, picture postcards, pictorial cancellation of National Philatelic Museum, and gift items.

If you are into Philately then this is a must visit place for you. You can go to the museum which is on the left side of the gate and check the different stamps that were released from time to time. Not much crowded. No ticket to visit. You can buy stamps as souvenir ( only issue they don't accept card or UPI for payment , if you purchase anything from there )

This is a brilliant museum featuring stamps of different eras. Many historians in the past used to collect coins to document history in books.I think stamps do the same job when you explore it with a keen eye.You can see almost all the stamps from colonial rule to recent years. They have a dedicated collection to Children. It's really fun to visit child stamp section here. There are a wide range of stamps featuring various achievements of Modern India,Exotic animal species,Poets,Cinema legends,Pioneers in Fundamental Research,Lakes,Kings etc. There is also a Souvenir store where you can buy things like Card holders(with a stamp imprinted on it),Pens,Catalogues, mugs etc.Must visit!!

Located and Sansad Marg, it is a paradise for a very small philatelist like me. I was like a kid in a candy store. The collection showcased at the museum is simply mind-blowing. India has a very rich Philatelic history due to the British but was unfortunate to see stamps only post independence. The specialised collection on 100 years of Fifa is a must see. My personal favourite was the the Lord of the Rings stamps from New Zealand. If your a Philatelic enthusiasts then this museum is a one time must visit.

A museum which comprises historical moments via post stamps. They have every stamp on display with date of publishing since Independence. To find one closest to one's birthday would be an interesting exercise. The overseas collection is extensive too. It is wonderful to see how different moments, living beings, places have been covered by this organization. On top of all one can get their personalised and valid stamps made for Rs300 per page of stamps, it can contain your own photograph too. A very neat and clean place with sufficient seats. I would like to suggest them to keep magnifying glasses for visitors as stamps are tiny and detailed and there are hundreds of them. Till then pls bring your own magnifying glasses. Entry is free. Bags are not allowed inside. No particular place to keep them but bags can be left at the entrance. A great place for all specially children.

If you love stamps and meuseums, this place is for you. Take the metro to patel chowk and walk to Dak bhawan. It's a quiet place and one can browse through journey of Indian stamps. There's nothing interactive here so not suitable for children. There is no sale of stamps here. For this you can visit The Philatelic Beauru in Head post office, Sansad Marg. It is just in the adjacent building.

The museum is situated near Patel Chowk Metro station and has a year wise collection of indian postal stamps. You literally go through history pages as you see the stamps made based on events, leaders, scientists and other Indian heritages. There is a collection of international stamps also. A brief look at old times in form of postboxes and old indian postal antiques.

Excellent place for philatelists and philately enthusiasts. Exhibits of large framed stamps adorn the walls with some history of Indian philately. Kids will also like this place. One room has everything interesting on stamps packed in. Souvenirs like mugs, tshirts, bottles are avl. Stamps are available for sale at the counter. However the variety of stamps is limited and most are available online. The adjacent museum is closed due to Covid but the Bureau is open.

It's good for people who are interested in knowing about postage stamps. Postage stamps are displayed on boards in chronological order. They depict the Indian history, culture, landscape, resources, personalities, technology etc. You can get your own stamp released. You need to provide your photo, ID and pay Rs. 300 and you can get 12 stamps on a sheet within 15 min.

Though the only issue is the boards where stamps are placed they really need to fix lighting for better visibility. But overall nice place to engage.

This little-known museum is located in Dak Bhawan, and is a really good showcase of stamps, especially those issued by India Post. Several panels display (in chronological order) stamps issued since 1947, and there are separate sections that deal with Indian stamps by subject: wildlife, music, cinema, art, railways, sports, Gandhiji, and so on. A children's section has a display of all the Children's Day stamps issued, and there's a large section of truly fascinating and beautiful stamps from other parts of the world. Miniature sheets, first day covers, and a model of the biplane that ferried the world's first airmail (between Allahabad and Naini in 1911) are also part of the collection. In addition, the museum offers a service where you can have a customised stamp (with your photo) printed. No entry fee is charged, but you have to enter your details in the register with the guard at the door.
