This complex houses various things which I will mention below: Generic information first - toilets are neat and clean. There is a mini canteen inside the complex and a full service canteen in the parking lot. Food is good, quantity sufficient and prices reasonable. One can also buy evergreen Choley Kulcha for Rs20 a plate outside the parking lot from a street vendor. Parking is free. Souvenir shop is there in parking lot. This complex along with Rajghat, deserves a day worth of visit. Museum - it consists of hundreds of photographs and paintings of his lifetime of work with detailed descriptions. It is structured in rooms in progression and also houses the boat in which he traveled, the jeep in which his body was carried for cremation and more things. Entry is free. It is very well ventilated which makes it difficult to spend sufficient time during extreme winters or summers. Journey through sculptures made of mud - they are also in the process of installing touch screen informative computer screens. Khadi Outlet - this is where various types of garments are made from Khadi cloth and are sold here too. Decent collection. Library - tons of books, free for all to read here. Books outlet - where they sell books. IGNOU - Office of Indira Gandhi National Open University. Always crowded by College goers and their parents to collect books and other work. Khadi Gram Udyog Training Center - where trainings are conducted on various things often sold through Khadi Outlets like honey business. Industrial Training Center - an excellent place which offers short term courses for a long list of vocations. Incubation Center - which organizes half day workshops on various businesses followed by active assistance in guiding to scale and run a business

Gandhi was the man ☮️🔥✌️❤️‍🔥🕉️💙🙏🌌 Literally knowing nothiiiiing about India as I arrived in the heart of New Delhi with her 32,000,000 residence I knew it was time to educate myself on at least some of the basics 🙈🌠🫠 I knew about Gandhi for quite some time from different books I had read over the years but never anything specially about him. Definitely knew he had many great quotes from over his lifetime and not the least of which was my personal favorite: "Be the change you wish to see in the world." These words always resonated with me on many different levels over the decades... Simple but effective..... Much like the man himself 💪🌄🎊 This was an incredible museum walking you through the life of this amazing individual. Starting with his birth, on through his early years in South Africa (I had no clue), his walk through India later in life, up to his assassination (I had no clue) 🤯 In this museum they have the actual garment he was wearing when his life was taken as well as his famous one and only pocket watch... Not to mention one of the actual bullets pulled from his body. This part of the museum was pretty moving and very well done 👌👌👌 Spent the afternoon here and learned quiiiiiite a lot about the man, the myth, the legend and I'm definitely better for it 🎉🧿🪽

This place is basically a visual biography of Gandhi. Every event of his life is represented by an image which is either a photograph or a sketch. One can quickly lose interest here as the texts for the images aren't placed conveniently, has no air conditioning, no guide, no audio tours etc It's highlight is that one may find documents and rare pictures of Gandhi which is not easily available online.

This is not a proper Museum as such but Gandhi Darshan, it showcases life of Mahatma through 100's of photo-pictures. The different phases of Mahatma's life are categorised and given a seperate compartment. Special Attractions: the boat used during Dandi March 1930 and the vehicle used to carry his mortal remains, miniscule Sabarmati Ashram models. This premises is mainly visited by Gandhian Scholars, Drinking water available. No entry fee,

[This review has been written in English, and is therefore not an automatic Google translation into this language.] One of the most iconic places I have had the opportunity to visit. Mahatma Gandhi deceased here. An impacting visit for sure. His last footsteps and unexpected memorabilia within the museum are not only inspiring, but help understand one of the most important episodes in human history surely much better than any documentary. Thank you for a wonderful stay. Dominik Kozanda Dr. | M.A (Spain) | M.A (Spain) | B.A (United Kingdom) | B.A (Germany) | B.A (Spain).

Be prepared to read a lot. Good thing it’s free because you might have to go back a few times to finish the whole museum or just read his biography in the comfort of your home 🤷🏽‍♀️

It is not a proper Museum but Gandhi Darshan, it showcases life of Mahatma through 100's of photo-pictures. The different phases of Mahatma's life are categorized and given a separate compartment. Special Attractions: the boat used during Dandi March 1930 and the vehicle used to carry his mortal remains, miniscule Sabarmati Ashram models. This premises is mainly visited by Gandhian Scholars, Drinking water available. The Mahatma Gandhi Sangrahalaya is a museum themed on the martyred 'Father of the Nation' Bapu Mahatma Gandhi, located just opposite to his memorial at the Rajghat. It is a large complex with an upasanalaya themed upon Sabarmati Ashrama, exhibitions of the 'charka', and a huge collection of photographs of the life of Gandhiji and things he used in his lifetime. Photography/Videography is not allowed within the museum. This place is basically a visual biography of Gandhi. Every event of his life is represented by an image which is either a photograph or a sketch. One can quickly lose interest here as the texts for the images aren't placed conveniently, has no air conditioning, no guide, no audio tours etc. It's highlight is that one may find documents and rare pictures of Gandhi which is not easily available online. Remembering the father of our nation. You'll be able to see a lot many things used by the great man, including the dress with the blood marks (used during his final moments). It will be a journey through the life and lifestyle of the great Mahatma. You'll be reminded of some of major incidents in our struggle for independence. A learning opportunity in the areas of our history.

A must visit museum for kids. Real accesories of Mahatma Gandhi ji are kept there. From the charkhas to the bullet he was shot from. It's an open for all, and no guidance will be provided. It's a two storey building with all history about MG. There is no food service in the campus, except a small shop which doesn't really have much of options other than a samosa and chhach. The museum is overall good. It's not very fancy, a little boring at times.

The bullet that killed him, his loincloth stained with his blood, the wristwatch he carried in his last days, it's all there. The library is one cool place if you want to educate yourself on Gandhiji or about India's Independence in general. It's free. There's also a movie room where they show a documentary on him every Sunday.

For someone so famous and so important I would have thought the museum would be much better. It has pictures and some objects but nothing compared to what it should be. The memorial outside where his cremated remains are easy to miss with a small sign indicating what it is

It was a calm place holding history inside. The man who was famous for his social work and freedom fight against Britishers in India. Sh. Mohandas Karmchand Gandhi involved common people in freedom fight. The fight was fought by millions of Indians in different ways. Millions lost their lives and no record whatsoever of the people who gave life do freedom of India. The museum would take you back in history and remind you the cost of freedom. Remind you about people who fought together for comman cause.

A little disappointed by the lack of life in the museum which is a series of photographs on the life of Gandhi. There was no one there, the guards are half asleep in their chairs, in short, a gloomy museum.

(Translated by Google) Ghandi Museum. . You may not need to be told who Mahatma Ghandi is. . Here is a brief reflection of you about the truth: . "What is the truth? . The matter contains its difficulties. As far as I am concerned, I have resolved them by saying that it is the internal voice that speaks to us. They will ask me: How does it happen then that there are different spirits that conceive dissimilar and even opposite truths? It happens that the human spirit has to go through countless intermediaries before drawing up a conclusion, and its evolution is not the same at all. * The truth never hurts a just cause. * In truth, I perceive beauty: I discover it through truth. All that is true, not just the exact ideas, but also the frank faces, the faithful portraits and the most natural songs are objects of beauty, and even of immense beauty sometimes. There are very few who know how to discern the beauty that emanates from the truth. " . From Ghandi we learn the importance of hearing our inner truth. The need we have to listen to ourselves in order to become integral, coherent and transparent to others. (Original) Museo de Ghandi. .
