Its a city forest. Its a very good place for trail running, morning walk, exercise, yoga etc. Its a dense green forest with wild animals like fox, golden back Jackals, blue bulls. There are many species of birds and also snakes. All along the path there are milestones at every 200 metres. Its a very beautiful place for running. I really love the place. Timings are 5 AM to 10 AM and 4 PM to 7 PM. There are 3 open gyms in it. One round of the Forest is 6.6 km. This is situated on hill.

Hidden forest in South Delhi! A sprawling, dense jungle—and a nature walk—amidst the city’s ‘posh’ hustle-bustle. Jahapanah City Forest is connects South Delhi’s GK-II with Tughalakabad Extension through a walking/running track maintained by DDA. Security guards across the forest ensures safety. Timing: 4am - 8 am in the morning; 4 pm to 8 pm in the evening during summer.

Very nice place for morning and evening walk with little adventure in South Delhi. You can also call it as a micro trekking site. You will find total peace, silence in this small ecosystem. Total dense forest experience with pure air, birds sound which will burst your stress. Lots of varieties of trees, cactus, succulents, bushes, vines, shrubs, grasses, herbs, and flower trees make this a very beautiful place for morning walk which gives a unique experience of walking with adventure which will fascinate you. There are 7 gates to enter it from Chirag Delhi, Greater Kailash, Masjid Moth, Tugalkabad, Sangam Vihar, Dakshin Puri, Sheikh Sarai. All gates are guarded. You can take your pets here. Timings are 5 am to 9 am in morning, 4 pm to 8 pm in evening. Lots of benches are there every 100 meter to rest if you get tired while walking. Open gym equipments has also been installed by govt. You can also see Neelgai, Jackals, Peacock, Cows, Bulls, Cats, Monkeys, Birds and Stray Dogs here. If you are lover of birds watching then you will also like this place. A good place to sit and relax for some time, and the birds sound will make your mood happy. Not suitable for picnic. Don't carry valuable things because few cases of robbery has been reported, but it is rare. Avoid to visit this place when it is dark. I visit this place regularly and love it. Entry is Free Always. If you visit this place you will love it.

It's so relaxing wondering in this beautifully managed forest. I always go to hunt peace and calm whenever I face any mental pressure. Thanks to the Government...for maintaining this in an organised way.

The Jahapanah City Forest is a great spot for walks in the morning and evening. It also has an open gym that is available daily from 5 a.m. to 9 a.m. It's a great site for a morning stroll. There, you can feel well and content. due to the pleasant ambiance and extremely cool air. Children can play and enjoy themselves on the play ground as well. Everyone who wants to work out can also use the gym.

An excellent place for morning walk / jog, which gives a feeling of walk in forest. One can enjoy, little uphill downhill walks at own leisurely pace. At the entrance gate towards Alaknanda side, one cannot imagine that one is entering into a forest walk.

Hey there! So, I recently had the chance to explore City Forest, and let me tell you, it was quite the adventure! Tucked away in the heart of Jahanpanah City Forest, this place is like a breath of fresh air amidst the chaos of city life. As I wandered through the winding trails of this forest, I couldn't help but feel like I had stumbled upon a secret garden. The lush greenery, towering trees, and chirping birds created a serene atmosphere that instantly put me at ease. One of the coolest things about here is the wildlife you encounter along the way. From playful squirrels darting between the trees to majestic peacocks showing off their feathers, there's always something new and exciting to see. I even spotted a deer grazing at me – talk about a magical moment! If you're into outdoor activities, this has got you covered. Whether you're into jogging, cycling, or just lounging in the sun, there's plenty of space to stretch your legs and soak up the sunshine. Plus, there are some awesome viewpoints where you can snap Insta-worthy pics of the city skyline – trust me, you won't want to miss them! All in all, my time at here was nothing short of amazing. It's like a little slice of paradise right in the middle of the city, and I can't wait to go back and explore some more. If you're ever in the area, do yourself a favor and check it out – trust me, you won't be disappointed!

Jahanpanah City Forest in Delhi is a hidden gem amidst the bustling city. Spread over a vast expanse, this urban forest offers a much-needed respite from the chaos of city life. I recently visited this tranquil oasis and was thoroughly impressed. The lush greenery and well-maintained pathways provide an excellent environment for a peaceful walk or a leisurely cycle ride. The variety of flora and fauna is impressive, and it's a paradise for birdwatchers. The park is clean and offers a serene escape, making it perfect for nature lovers and those seeking solitude. One of the standout features is the informative signboards that provide insights into the different plant species, adding an educational element to the visit. The forest is well-connected, making it easily accessible to the public. However, it's essential to maintain its serene atmosphere, as it can get crowded during weekends. It's heartening to see that the local authorities are taking measures to preserve this green lung in the heart of the city. In conclusion, Jahanpanah City Forest is a beautiful place to connect with nature and escape the urban hustle and bustle. It's an ideal spot for a leisurely day out or a peaceful evening stroll, and I highly recommend it to anyone looking for a natural retreat in Delhi.

The forest is a go to place for jogging, walk and other physical activities, a lil bit construction can be seen around a mosque & few other places, but afforestation is also on its way there. This forest area is not very popular so you will see less crowd here.

Located in the midst of city lie a beautiful green mini forest. You can go there for a walk for a break from the Delhi's hustle and pollution. It's quite a large area so keep tracks of the location and don't get lost.

It's one of best natural city forest in Delhi but is marred by garbage dumping in the portion touching madangir area. Portion adjoining GK is better maintained. Good for morning walks, running. Not so safe in evening hours.

Not ideal for jogging or exercising owing to the "wonderful " pollution levels in Delhi. But can be little relaxing fir a small walk. It'll be more enjoyable during the winters.

It is like a blessing from God that having this "city forest" in our city. In today's world , where pollution is increasing, trees are degrade and many other environmental factors are there, only because of this city forest honestly the life in our city exists. I visit daily in the morning in this forest and recommend you as well to live with nature and enjoy the life.
