This place is huge and it's more like forest than park. Main attraction of this place is Buddha statue which is covered by glass. It is beautiful but the glass needs cleaning. No entry fees. Washroom are built around but one cannot use it as they were locked. There is a canteen inside. Parking area is there and one should prefer bringing their own vehicle as autos charge around 100-150 to drop you to nearest metro. It's not safe to roam when it's dark as there are very few gaurds and park is open for all so creepy men can be seen around. In the evening sone people can be seen walking or running usually with their dogs. There is an area which is totally dedicated to different kinds of roses and it's beautiful. Also the pine cone trees look pretty in winters. Overall there is greenery, other than forest area the park area is well maintained.

One of the underrated parks in Delhi, Buddha Jayanti Park is located amidst the Delhi Ridge forest area. *IMPORTANT: Reach before 6:30 pm (Mon- Sat). Although official closing time is 7 pm, the staffers in the park might not let you in after 6:30. It’s a sprawling park with a wide variety of trees, bushes, and flowers. Buddha park also has several lawns and an area with exercise equipment. Sadly, after so much fanfare, the park looked a little abandoned. The water canals snd ponds were dry, kids’ play area was not properly maintained and unhygienic. (We visited in the last week of Aug 2023.) I hope the authorities will bring back the park’s beauty and make it more popular.

I am Delhiites by Born but I always heard about some cheap things about this Park e.g. couples are here on extreme level of intimacy. So today first time, I finally decide to go and check by myself Trust me I found this place so beautiful well maintained, many washrooms, cafeteria, nursery, kids playground with some normal excercise machines. I'm visiting during the corona time might be possible there is less couple but this is not the problem bcx we can easily find couple mostly in every park doing cuddles and all. But This park is huge in just one round circles you can easily achieve 7000-1000 steps, it can 40-50 mins to complete one round for normal steps walk. Good for Walk, Running, Family, Kids, Old people and yes you can find monkeys also while walking. It's amazingly beautiful 💕

This park has everything from garden to nursery to narrow paths through woods and few scenic views. Really nice park for a long walk/run. Also has a small old style restaurant with okay menu.

Buddha jayanti Park is one of the few big park situated in Lutyen Delhi. The park is big , surrounded by lush greenery as it is in Central Ridge part of New Delhi. The park is not so open type if comparing to other parks of Lutyen .This is a city forest theme based park with motif and statue of Buddha and a descendent of Bodhi tree from srilanka. The park is divided in parts and section. Also there is a cafeteria in this park.

A park with excess of land, maintained in little parts at different locations within the area. You have to walk a while to reach every scenery or point of interest. You can enjoy the nature in its raw form at most of the locations, especially the uneven tracks. Avoid going inside or nearby monkey forest alone or atleast be careful. Use your personal vehicle to reach there, do not trust public transportation. Avoid going there after sunset. Will post some eye-catching scenery.

Last Sunday ( 15-08-2021 )  We visited Buddha Jayanti Park , Just for Independence day outing . Park is near Karolbagh and Delhi Ridge road . Park is very good and full of greenery in this peak summer . Very less Plastic waste . Well-maintained . Good parking area , a lot of space for parking inside the park . After the second gate ( from Karol bhag Hanuman murthi side ) there is one gate to enter the park . First and second are closed due to repair work . This picturesque park includes multiple paved walkways with mesmerizing landscape and blooming flowers. It also has high trees with clear streams gushing through the terrain, complimenting the sheer elegance of the garden. The park is also privileged to shelter an 8-feet  statue of Lord Buddha.  But administration is very poor , only one Guard is there for almost 150 Acer parks . He is a very good person but very difficult for him to manage . Other staff ( Gardner )    of the park are not user friendly . Timing is evening 5 to 8.30 Pm But when we left ( Around 7.30 PM ) Gate was closed and there was no other way to exit . We ask many mali ( Gardner ) but no proper response from them .My son and Wife fear that we are stuck inside the park in CAR It almost dark and no light inside the park . Then I continued to honk, then Guard came and opened. He apologized and said he is the only one so he goes for a routine round after locking the gate to avoid people entering the Park again . He is helpless . Delhi Government  need to check this.

It's a beautiful place almost in the heart of the city! Very nice landscape! But not well maintained !! Heaven for peace lovers! If it is developed properly, ( on the lines of sunder nursery) it could prove to be a very good visiting place in Delhi. Entry can be restricted by putting Entry tickets.

Budha Jayanti Park is a peaceful and cost-free family destination. It's a joy to soak in the natural beauty, with benches for relaxation. Kids have a great time with swings and more. The presence of a Bodhi tree and a Buddha statue adds a serene touch, making it a delightful and simple outing for everyone.

Buddha Jayanti Park happens to be a truly beautiful and well-maintained park with sprawling lush gardens located in the capital of India, Delhi. Since its inception, the park has managed to gain a lot of popularity amongst the locals as well as tourists. This picturesque park includes multiple paved walkways with mesmerizing landscape and blooming flowers. It also has high trees with clear streams gushing through the terrain, complimenting the sheer elegance of the garden. The park is also privileged to shelter an 8-feet copper statue of Lord Buddha, positioned at one of its corners.Buddha Jayanti Park or Buddha Jayanti Smarak Park was established as a token to mark the celebration of Gautam Buddha’s 2500th birth anniversary. The significance of the park lies in the young sapling of the popular Bodhi tree planted here, which has been brought down from Sri Lanka. The Bodhi tree sapling was planted here in the year 1964 by the ex-Prime Minister of India, Lal Bahadur Shastri in the memory of Buddha’s attainment of Nirvana under the Bodhi tree.

A very calm and peaceful place. Good for people to have their quality time there. A photogenic place. There's also a cafeteria inside so you don't have to look for food outside. But i would recommend you to carry your own food stuff bcuz the cafe inside is a bit pricey. Good place for a date.

Large, grassy park with a tranquil vibe featuring a golden statue of the Buddha on a manmade island. Buddha Jayanti Park is a beautiful well manicured garden with sprawling lawns and blooming flowers. Though relatively new in the list of parks in Delhi, it is quite popular amongst Delhites and tourists alike. This garden was built to commemorate the 2500 year of Lord Buddha’s attainment of Nirvana. The significance of the garden lies in the fact that sapling of the original Bodhi tree (under which Buddha attained Nirvana) has been brought all the way from Sri Lanka and transplanted here. Emperor Asoka’s daughter Sanghamitra took a sapling from the original Bodhi tree in Bodh Gaya and went to Sri Lanka to preach Buddhism. Check out the beautiful idol of Buddha that lies at one corner of the park. Buddha Garden Delhi features as one of the most coveted Tourist attractions in New Delhi. Buddha Jayanti Park is a hotspot for young couples too. Buddha Jayanti or Buddha Purnima is celebrated each may here with great aplomb. This park was dedicated to the 14th Dalai Lama in 1993. Kids friendly. Parking also available inside the park

This park is one of my favourite parks in delhi . A park so huge that even one round around the park is enough to tire you out. A park that is the perfect blend of lord and the nature. It's definitely a must visit place if you are visiting delhi. I would recommend you to visit the park in the morning hours to enjoy a walk in the fresh breeze.

Discovering🕵️ Buddha Jayanti🏞️ Park felt like stumbling upon a lush green jungle in Delhi – a ❣️🤩delightful surprise! ⚠️ First-time visitors, heed 🛑the advice from workers and guards: While the park is a green haven, it's recommended not to venture alone, especially for girls and women. It's nice, green and quite right now in February. Nice bright flowers and solitude make it a different place since the time of its heydays. I've been asked about the gardens reputation as a place for romancing couples. It's was pretty okay, I tried not to bump into the couple's and it didn't bother me. It was a relaxed atmosphere but I would advise women to come in groups.

More forest, less park. There is a proper parking area as well. Loved walking around, you feel like you're not in Delhi. Extremely isolated in parts and found discarded alcohol bottles etc- may not be a safe place be late in evenings or early mornings when almost nobody is around. Also saw a troop of monkeys in one part, so if you're scared of them Please be careful.

Buddha Jayanti Park in New Delhi offers a serene escape right in the heart of the city. Despite its past reputation, my recent visit left me pleasantly surprised. The park has a unique charm, providing a refreshing feeling of a forest in the bustling city of Delhi. The greenery is soothing, and it's a great spot for a leisurely stroll or some quiet time. While the park itself has improved, spending time in the nearby cafe area adds to the overall experience, especially if you're with family. The ambiance is delightful, and it's a perfect place to unwind. I highly recommend giving Buddha Jayanti Park a chance; it's a hidden gem that deserves a positive reevaluation.

It's okay sorts. A bit shabby and badly maintained. It's a beautiful location with lots of greenery. If it is well maintained it could be just wonderful. A lot of work needs to be done to improve the place make it greener, plant a lot of different variety of flowers and herbs. The cafeteria also can be spruced up and the parking lot made cleaner. The statue of Buddha here is beautiful but in need of some good polishing. The glass case in which it is kept needs to be scrubbed and cleaned so that the statue inside can be seen clearly.

It's so green and scenery with long walking compound and beautiful space to spend some quality time if you are nature lover, inside there is a cafeteria too where you can have some snacks near gate no. 2, there is also separate washroom, be careful the entire area is monitored by cctv which you can't find generally and is hidden in between trees so don't think of doing any hanky panky activities if you are with ur girl or any😜 rest also this area has less mobile network signal but if you come near gate 1, you can find signal a bit, had a quality and enjoying moment!

Buddha Jayanti Park, of course, draws its name from the Buddha, and so there is some presence of the Buddha and his teachings. Every now and then, there are stone slabs with excerpts from his teachings inscribed on them, and close to Gate No. 1, there is even a large gilded Buddha statue in a pavilion. Unfortunately, in an attempt to protect this, the authorities have surrounded it on all sides with clear plastic, which robs it of its beauty. Jai mata di Bharat mata ki jai Jai hind

Buddha Jayanti Park is one of those man-made gardens built in the memory and on the 2,500th anniversary of Lord Buddha's enlightenment. A sapling of the original Bodhi Tree, under which Lord Buddha meditated and attained enlightenment was brought from Sri Lanka and planted here (it was originally planted in Sri Lanka by Emperor Ashoka’s son). Hence, it’s an important place from the Buddhist religion’s point of view. It is also infamous as you will find many couples in very objectionable positions in bushes

A must visit place in Delhi... specially in the morning time. Very calm and serene environment...out of the crazy going roads of Delhi. Chill out with friends. Greeny fields... enjoy the beauty. And definitely to explore the cafe inside it...... good breakfast on reasonable price.

Loved this place.. Really peaceful in the lap of nature. I would recommend you should visit here in groups, that's how you'll enjoy more beautifully. Better to take a cab or your personal vehicle here.

Some places well maintained, others just jungle with footpath. Parking is inside. No tickets no parking fees. Suitable for spending some time in solitude. Not too crowded. Avoid visiting in dark. Could do with some street lights.

Buddha Jayanti Park is a truly beautiful and well-maintained park with sprawling lush gardens located in Delhi. This park includes multiple paved walkways with mesmerizing landscape and blooming flowers. It also has high trees with clear streams gushing through the terrain, complimenting the sheer elegance of the garden. Also have Budha statue inside a Manmade island. Buddha Jayanti Park or Buddha Jayanti Smarak Park was established as a token to mark the Gowtham Buddha’s 2500th birth anniversary.

Spread over a vast area, it has a rose garden, a nursery and much more. Nearest metro is atleast 3-4 kms away. Cafeteria has so-so food, prices are okay, staff is very friendly, restrooms are maintained good enough for a public park, the water bodies present inside need better maintenance as they were kind of giving off a foul smell, other than that it is a great place for a day out with family or a romantic date. Very calm and peaceful.
