Karim is already quite famous for its Mughlai food. Karim hotel has quite a few branches in Delhi. However the taste of food may differ from branch to branch. I think the Nizamudin one is probably the second most famous branch of Karims. Good part about Nizamudin branch is that traveling to it is probably easier. They are quite crowded during the weekends. The Mughlai food is definitely good if you order it wisely some dishes could be really spicy & Oily, so try some roasted stuff along with a gravvy dish because otherwise couple of Gravvy dishes could turn out to be too oily. It has a good traditional ambience & decent seating arrangement.

The restaurant itself is nice and the staff is attentive. The atmosphere gives kind of houseboat vibes. The food itself is delicious but very oily. It’s a good place to take your family out to.

Ok so there are a lot of mixed reviews. But the food was actually really good. The mutton gravy was amazing. I had the mutton biryani, it wasn’t as dry as other biryanis but still good. The kebab dish was amazing too. It was a bit pricey but still thought it was worth it

Mouthwatering Mughlai food served by this authentic outlet. You must visit this restaurant as it’s an experience in itself. The recipes are family’s best kept secret and you won’t be disappointed. We ordered Mutton makhani seekh kabab, Dopiaz, Roomali roti and naan, Mutton biryani and mixed raita

Not very much impressed this time, Earlier this was one of the best place to eat for non veg lovers. Now it lowered it's quality while increased its price. Tandoori roti of Karim's still the best, mutton nihari, etc are among most liked one. Kulfi was worst, they should not try other than firni for desert.

Clean and tidy place. Service was good. Food was fine. Though the gravy items were oily which is a must in mughlai dishes but no in digestion or ill feeling. Mutton stew was light and full of flavours. Biryani was ok not a must try . Overall good experience

Came to this restaurant with high expectations but after trying their mutton seekh and mutton biriyani we were totally disappointed..!!!! Over hyped, over priced restaurant…the biriyani was very oily and the mutton wasn’t soft..all of the items were too salty that we couldn’t even complete it. Worst experience.

We got a bad experinces with the dirty Straws like they re-use it without cleaning. For the prices of the foods its better to use real plate than the plastics. And they said their restaurant is one of the best in Asia. The foods was good and the interior was good place.

This place is a little hard to find if you are new in the area. Great food though. Loved the mutton sheekh kebab. It's a must try! Service is just like any other restaurant. No complaint. Price is on the higher side because of the hype created by Various media heads.

This is 21st century , good taste isn’t just all what a customer need. As a creator, I was recording a lot of videos in the near by area and my phone battery ran out. Me and wife were hungry so we decided to satisfy our taste buds, we chose Karim restaurant at Hazrat Nizamuddin. As I reached and sat at the table, I thought let me ask for a charger 🔌 from waiter, I requested for that , he didn’t respond. As human you wants to see the photos you just clicked , isn’t it? I went to the person sitting at reception requested for the charger and Wi-Fi , he neither said yes nor No I was under an impression that he will do something , I realized after sometime that they didn’t even pay any attention and not to my surprise , they didn’t do anything. I feel , as a restaurant owner or worker it’s your responsibility to make your customers feel valuable and take care of small things, They may not cost anything but give multi looks return, More than food, you sell experience😊 Food was good but experience was bad. Will I go to that restaurant again? My answer is no. Should you go there ? Honest answer- only go if you are hungry , don’t expect any hospitality.

Had the worst experience at Karim, (Nizamuddin). Food was not cooked properly and meat was smelling. Actually, they don't sell enough to make fresh in the first place. Everything from biryani to nihari was a disappointment. People come for its mega brand but there's nothing historical here. Choose wisely.

Poor hospitality. Firstly, we were made to wait. After waiting, when we finally managed to get a table, no one was bothered to take our order.. Secondly, after ordering, we got our food after constant reminders.no one seemed interested in serving us. thirdly, they stood on our heads and kept asking for final order final order. There was one oldie guy..who was kind..rest all the guys were just waiting for us to leave since the beginning. Highly disappointed.

Nice cozy place to eat some mughlai food. They have some of the most delicious food. History has it that they used to cook for the royal family ones upon a time.

This place is really big. Different place to order and take food from and they have restuarant aswell. You can easily sit and eat. It's inside the galli so look for it. The price are bit over but worth the food. I loved it they were very kind to their customers ❤️

Delhi’s most iconic muglai restaurant. Most famous dish here is mutton burra, mutton korma, mutton stew,biryani,keema-naan and magaz( brain curry) . Mutton Burra being their signature item.

Food is not upto the hype. You can cook better meat than this at your place trust me should be the last place to visit in jama masjid.

Awesome taste....no substitute of Karim's Delhi till date. Mutton Barra is my favourite.

  • 2/5 Suparna K. 6 months ago on Google
It was crowded when we visited. I guess the hype is too much Did not see it on the plate and tastebuds did not feel any difference. I have tasted better foods before and this place could not match to its name, fame & hype. Definitely can be skipped, and you won't regret for skipping when in short of time as a tourist.

An unnecessary higher price restaurant , no good ambience, cheap plastic smaller chair sitting, waiters are untrained and unmotivated, they make noise loudly, dirty toilets, food serving utensils are not impressive even looks very ordinary. No music, and food prices are very high in terms of considering all these things, though food quality and taste is good to some extent. Very good quality food options and in less amount are available in Nizamuddin area. I would never like to go here again.

It is a good place for having a taste of mughlai dishes in ambience of historical period in a historical place. One would feel the difference while visiting this place.

  • 1/5 Abir M. 1 year ago on Google
Bad food - too rich and oily. The ambience is dark and dingy. The uniform the staff wear is shabby and very dirty. I couldn't wait to leave the restaurant. Shame on you Karim - having been there before, I can confidently say that you have really deteriorated

The only restaurant in Nizamuddin with ample space and relative hygiene in facilities department!!. Food has probably seen better days but still very good . More importantly an "oasis of peace" once you have done your thing in the shrine and surroundings. Remember no alcohol and coke is served in a glass.

Its another branch in Nizamuddin of mainnone. food is amazing and staff here is very nice and suggested us few very good things to try

  • 2/5 swati g. 2 years ago on Google
PLEASE DO NOT VISIT! I would suggest to not to dig a hole in your pockets by going there because it is absolutely worthless. The food here doesn't taste up to the mark at all, instead please eat from someone at roadside corner, I bet you won't regret. The biryani over here doesn't seem like biryani at all plus they do not have the option of salan and raita.

  • 1/5 Mohdfaizan T. 1 year ago on Google
I ordered biryani. It was boiled rice n chicken n boiled egg and it was tasteless. They used to serve good mughlai food . But now they are just using the name Karim. When we reported about biryani, Manager wasn't even cared to take a note of it. It was worst experience. I recommend not to visit there for mughlai food. Instead go to old Delhi, there are far better restaurants for mughlai food.

Pathetic service. We ordered twice and still we got this. This is sent with the piece for 500 bucks. Only this nihari mutton.

The staff is not welcoming but the food is better than Karim's Jama Masjid

  • 5/5 Anne Mariya B. 1 year ago on Google
The yummiest mutton kabab i hav had is from Karim's. The Dil Pasand Seekh Kabab is famous here and is worth it. The other thing I tried from here is Chicken burra which was also real good. As you reach the bone the real flavour comes. As desert i had the famous Kheer from here(rice pudding). It's heaven. The ambience inside is good. However the roads or streets you pass to reach hotel and just outside hotel is not so nice. Except the stern looks from the door keeper the service was nice. May be we reached late and by the time we finished dinner it was closing time. Also, washroom can be modified bit more. Overall the fooding experience was amazing.

Good food as usual but mutton pics served in korma was not good, they should take care as we are spending so much for 2 pcs.

  • 2/5 Amby 2 years ago on Google
Food Quality is good but the price is a bit on the higher side, moreover the quality of rice in Biryani is not upto the mark, you can have dish with tandoori and rumali roti but Biryani is something which is not recommended, the quality of meat pieces depends on your interaction with the person taking the order and if he is not in a good mood then be ready for some problem or the other, I ordered kebab, nehari, keema and biryani and to my surprise they bought biryani first followed by butter naan, nehari and keema and then kebab all together, when I told the waiter that he should have got kebab first followed by the main course he replied in a very rude manner that we should have informed him before. I don't think it was a good experience

It's a quite a crowded area. But once inside, it's amazing to see such spacious place and maintaining the hygiene at the same time. Kebabs and strangely the parothas(yes, you read it right) were my favorite over here. The visit here reminded me of Lucknow kebabs!

PATHETIC FOOD--There was a FLY in Mutton Burra & the Seekh Kebab had a Hair..There is Nothing Mor Important than Hygiene and This Restaurant is all about Being Unhygienic

  • 4/5 Shamim R. 1 year ago on Google
Here Quality of gravy item remain same but for tandoori & starter item you have to be very careful while ordering as in rush they didn't cook well and they need to focus on quality more. Pehle wali baat nahi rahi....

Located in a congested location but relatively easy to reach from the main road. Average ambiance and services. Not so good hygiene. Chicken korma with Nan was good Mutton biryani and Nihari were below average. Kulfi was outstanding. They can do wonders if they improve their presentation, services and hygiene and maintain authenticity of food.

All foods items are good, biriyani not upto the mark.

  • 1/5 Himani H. 1 year ago on Google
Wouldn’t recommend anyone to eat here, the prices are way higher than the food and the service offered here. The food arrived 30sec after placing the order which was shady because no freshly cooked food comes that quick. The food tasted stale and spoilt, worst biryani I had, I left the entire food on the table payed 1.5k for 2 biryanis and left. Wouldn’t recommend anyone to go here.
