Amrapali designs, produces and distributes tribal, fine and uncut gemstone jewellery. The brand has stores in India, Pakistan and London. The brand also operates a museum of Indian jewellery in Jaipur. The inspiration to start Amrapali Jewellery was the fascination that Rajiv Arora and Rajesh Ajmera held for ancient India, as it was the focus of their graduate studies. The Brand operates an Amrapali Museum of Jewellery, spread over a 6,500sq ft space and showcasing traditional Indian Jewellery in the city of Jaipur. The museum currently displays various types of chains, amulets, pendants, head and hair ornaments, earpieces, bangles and bracelets, belts and buckles, armlets, torso and shoulder ornaments, wristlets and cuff bracelets, rings and toe rings, and anklets, that have been collected from across the Indian subcontinent by the founders over a period of 50-odd years.

At first we liked the shop, their jewelry is nice and I bought a big Sapphire and Diamond ring. After less then a month the large Sapphire fell off the ring and we took it back for repair. After that, we decided to get it appraised by a couple of professional Jewlers in Delhi. Unfortunately, Amrapali has pulled a fast one on us, they have overcharged us by an additional 120% over the real value of the ring! Above all, the ring setup was not for the stone that was put on it. Unfortunately there is no such thing as customer protection in India but one thing is for sure, we are never ever going back at Amrapali and for the next few years that we are in India, we are going to let all our friends and colleagues know what a scam this place is!

What was sold to me as a sterling silver nose ring, was definitely not silver as I had a bad skin reaction to the metal!! And being an avid silver jewelry collector never happened to me before

Well...I was not shopping myself and was dragged by a co-worker. She seemed to be gaga over this place and spent what felt like a million years buying all sorts of bobbles. She told me she'd have stayed longer had it not been for me. Good points for tagalongs...plenty of chairs and it smells very nice.

Amrapali is my new favorite place to shop for silver and gold plated jewelry especially earrings...when you cross this shop in Khan Market with it's rustic looking distressed wood door you may hesitate to enter expecting it to be a gold and diamond jewelry store...you would be mistaken.....for many years even I was mistaken until I finally entered and found lovely silver jewelry with semi precious stone and beautiful gold plated jewelry as well........this is place is no more expensive than any other silver jewelry shop. With different collections you are surely going to find something that you will love....Their range starts from about INR 400 (for the smaller and more economical pieces you need to ask them to show what it is in their closed drawers) and for decent sized danglers you will end up spending anywhere from INR 800 to INR 2500 per piece....If you love your earrings you must visit this place

While staff makes great recommendations, be very clear with what you want to help them sift through their stock and show you price worthy pieces that match your taste. Mixed match pair of earrings, pendant and silver chain for a wedding gift to a close friend.

There is always a problem with exchange of gifts received. Staff is very unprofessional. Too much chatting amongst themselves and if one goes in the morning it's mayhem with all the girls screaming and putting on their make up in the mirror in front of the main door. Tough to navigate
