My favourites place in delhi. This zoo is really big, can consume your whole day. Have a number of beautiful and rare animals. Am really in love with this zoo. Tip :- Better if you have a female with you, otherwise wait in long queue for tickets 😅

The zoo has been maintained very well. Though I wish the animals were better fed. I've been here a couple of times and it's only gotten better than before. The enclosures are clean and the signs and notifications are in place. The gold cart is convenient. I would recommend getting a private cart if you're travelling with senior people

Must visit. Visit once with kids but do visit alone once. Battery cars available inside but don’t take them. Just walk and visit every part and lose calories. You will surely love it. Tourist skip it but i visit it every time I visit Delhi and i find something new every time. Most quiet place in Delhi with only birds chirping. Visit in winters .

This mini zoo has tigers, panthers, ostrich, black buck as main attractions. Other than these animals, there are crocodiles which if you really are lucky can spot, also jackal and some deer species which you can get very close too. Some people were even feeding them. It's only 10 rupees entry ticket charges so you can visit it without any second thought

The Tilyar Mini Zoo, Rohtak is located inside the Tilyar Lake complex on Delhi Road in Rohtak, Haryana, India. This Zoo was built in year 1987. Visiting Zoo was an absolute delight! It's the perfect spot for a family outing where fun meets education. The variety of animals here is not enough but making it an ideal place to introduce kids to the wonders of wildlife. The atmosphere is family-friendly, with ample opportunities to learn about animals in a hands-on and interactive way. There are only few animals. It is now under construction. Entry ticket is only 10 rs For adult and 5 for kids . You can cover whole zoo in 30 mints . Out side zoo there is a lake no entry fee for lake.. You get here Parking also but its not free.

National Zoological Park is home to a large number of species of birds, reptiles and mammals which live in an environment that in many ways resemble their natural habitat. The zoo not only provides a home for endangered species, but also helps them to breed well in captivity. Some of the special attractions at the Zoo include White Tiger, Gaur, Jaguar, Rhinoceros, Elephants, Brow-antlered Deer (Sangai), Lion-tailed Macaque, Migratory birds (during winters) etc. have more enriched environment for the animals, quality of animal exhibits, conservation education and sustainable management practices. We are working towards generating awareness and compassion in the society towards wildlife and to garner their support for the national conservation effort. We also thrive to play an effective role in species preservation and reducing man animal conflicts in urban landscape.

The National Zoological Park (originally Delhi Zoo) is a 176-acre (71 ha) zoo in New Delhi , India. A 16th-century citadel, a sprawling green island and a motley collection of animals and birds, all in the middle of a burgeoning urban Delhi. The zoo is home to about 1350 animals representing almost 130 species of animals and birds from around the world. The zoo can be seen on foot or using a battery-operated vehicle which can be rented at the zoo.Visitors are not permitted to bring any food other than drinking water, but there is a canteen in the zoo. In 2014 a visitor who was mentally ill, was killed as he had fallen into the white tigers enclosure. The Delhi zoo came decades later after New Delhi was built. although the idea to have a zoo at the national capital was mooted in 1951, the park was inaugurated in November 1959.[8] In 1952 the Indian Board for Wildlife created a committee to look into creating a zoo for Delhi. The government of India was to develop the zoo and then turn it over to Delhi as a working enterprise. In 1953 the committee approved the location of the zoo, and in October 1955 it assigned N. D. Bachkheti of the Indian Forest Service to oversee the creation of the zoo. Initially Major Aubrey Weinman of the Ceylon Zoological Garden (now the National Zoological Gardens of Sri Lanka) was asked to help draw the plans for the zoo, but because he was not available for the long term, Carl Hagenbeck of the Zoological Garden of Hamburg was hired. In March 1956, Hagenbeck presented a preliminary plan, which included the recommendation to use moated enclosures for the new zoo. The plan was modified as needed to account for local conditions, and approved by the Indian government in December 1956. By the end of 1959, the Northern part of the zoo was complete, and animals which had been arriving for some time and which had been housed in temporary pens were moved into their permanent homes. The park was opened on 1 November 1959 as the Delhi Zoo. In 1982 it was officially renamed to National Zoological Park, with hopes that it could become a model for other zoos in the country.

I've visited the zoo annually since 02', it used to be amazing but went downhill a few years ago. Now, they are trying to renovate, and have quite a lot under progress, it is becoming better than before. The lake has become better than before and was rather refreshing to visit. They still have the laser-water show and boating. Love their ducks.
