I was very surprised to find this beautiful place in the heart of Delhi. This is a proper wildlife sanctuary and you can find animals like Jackels, leopard, deers, wild cats, lizards, monkeys, peacocks and many different varieties of birds. Main attraction here is the "Neeli Jheel" a lake which is situated at the centre of the sanctuary and it is approx 16 kms inside the jungle. You need your own 4 wheeler as it is a dense forest and entry fees is ₹500 per person. Must visit place within Delhi to take break and to get some fresh air.

A treasure with in south Delhi. This place is really big and raw. Sharing multiple points, which are as follows - A) It opens up around 6 in the morning so don't rely on the Google information, going early morning can be all together a different experience. B) It is just 20-25 minutes away from select City walk, on Delhi Faridabad Pahadi wala rasta, also known as Suraj kund wala rasta. C) It has a 17-18 km drive inside it to neeli jheel which is what is slightly adventures but trust me nothing overwhelming. D) Charges - Per per Charges 510 Rupees for only visiting inside the Sanctuary. Rest 2 km two tracks at the entry is free. E) They don't provide any cycle or vehicle too, for you to go inside, after paying 510 Rs, you still have to drive your own car. F) For reaching to creek you will take minimum 1 hour, to cover 17km and 1 hour to come back. So plan accordingly. G) Pls carry food inside because inside there is nothing available. H) 4 stars for place. 1 star for charges.

Asola-Bhati Wildlife Sanctuary covering 32.71 km2 area on the Southern Delhi Ridge of Aravalli hill range on Delhi-Haryana border lies in Southern Delhi as well as northern parts of Faridabad and Gurugram districts of Haryana state.Biodiversity significance of Ridge lies in its merger with Indo-Gangetic plains,as it is the part of the Northern Aravalli leopard wildlife corridor, an important wildlife corridor which starts from the Sariska National Park in Rajasthan, passes through Nuh, Faridabad and Gurugram districts of Haryana and ends at Delhi Ridge. At present 8pair of leopards are roming in this century, though sighting of leopards is not very easy because leopard is shy cat! There is a man-made lake that’s called nearly lake. It’s a beautiful lake but not recommended for any water sports. This lake is man-made lake due to mining and somewhere depth of this lake around 150 mtr.

Beautiful place... A good jungle experience within Delhi. Jungle safari at a very nominal charge. If you are lucky will see few animals as well. Neela Jheel is also a very good place. Kids will enjoy it.

A very nature friendly visit. People living in nearby areas must pay a visit to wildlife in this sanctury. It was very beautiful experience. We even went first time by the wrong way which wasted our 2 hour. So, Always go by the Right way which is Cycling Route. Just follow the Cycle Map. Be aware that Ticket is very very costly. Ticket for one person is Rs 510. Even for Jim Corbett National Park, Ticket is Rs 200 Only.

Review of Asola Wildlife Sanctuary: I recently had the opportunity to visit the Asola Wildlife Sanctuary, and I must say, it was an incredibly rewarding experience. Nestled on the southern edge of Delhi, this sanctuary offers a much-needed respite from the bustling city life, immersing visitors in the tranquility of nature. One of the standout features of the Asola Wildlife Sanctuary is its diverse range of flora and fauna. Spread across a sprawling area of approximately 32 square kilometers, the sanctuary boasts a variety of ecosystems, including scrubland, rocky terrain, and grassy plains. As I explored the sanctuary, I was captivated by the rich biodiversity that thrives within its boundaries. The sanctuary is home to a wide array of animal species, making it a haven for nature enthusiasts and wildlife lovers. During my visit, I was fortunate enough to spot several species of birds, including peacocks, kingfishers, and eagles. The sanctuary also houses mammals such as nilgai, Indian gazelle, and porcupines, which can be spotted if you keep your eyes peeled. The presence of such a diverse range of animals truly showcases the sanctuary's commitment to conservation. For those who enjoy hiking and trekking, the Asola Wildlife Sanctuary offers several well-maintained trails. These trails provide an opportunity to explore the sanctuary's varied terrain and discover hidden gems along the way. The fresh air, scenic views, and the occasional encounter with wildlife create a memorable experience for nature enthusiasts and photographers alike. Another noteworthy aspect of the Asola Wildlife Sanctuary is the presence of knowledgeable guides who accompany visitors on their journeys. These guides are well-versed in the sanctuary's history, its inhabitants, and the conservation efforts taking place. Their expertise adds a layer of depth to the experience, allowing visitors to gain a deeper understanding of the sanctuary's significance and the importance of preserving its natural treasures. The sanctuary also offers facilities such as picnic spots and rest areas, making it an ideal destination for a day trip or a weekend getaway with family and friends. The well-maintained infrastructure ensures that visitors can enjoy their time in the sanctuary comfortably. However, it is worth noting that due to its proximity to the urban area, the sanctuary faces some challenges related to encroachment and pollution. Efforts are being made to address these issues, but visitors should be mindful of their impact on the environment and follow the guidelines set by the sanctuary authorities. In conclusion, the Asola Wildlife Sanctuary is a hidden gem that deserves more recognition. Its abundant natural beauty, diverse wildlife, and commitment to conservation make it a must-visit destination for nature lovers. Whether you're a birdwatcher, a wildlife enthusiast, or simply seeking a peaceful retreat, this sanctuary offers an immersive experience that will leave you with cherished memories.

I was planning to visit Neeli Jheel via Asola Bhatti Wildlife Sanctuary from many years but got a chance last week. It was a rewarding experience and a hidden gem in Delhi. Though they have e-rickshaw but that was not operational last week as some VIP was visiting this place, but own vehicle was allowed. The drive is 16KM one way and the road condition is good. We found Peacock, bluebull, Nilgai, Monitor lizard and Jackal. Locals were warning that leopard sound was heard too so be careful. And at last we reached Neeli Jheel which was a beautiful view. It is worth visiting this place which is located in Delhi and so close to NCR. One should visit this place. Will take 2-4 hrs in the morning. Guys, go there and have a good time.

The main attractions are the butterfly park and the beautiful Neeli Jheel located 16km inside the park. Entry ticket for the jheel is Rs.500/person and for park is ₹10. This water body is located inside the asola bhatti wildlife sanctuary. Entry is from the gate near the karni Singh shooting range. One needs to fill a form and buy tickets to enter the sanctuary. The jheel is further 16km from the sanctuary gate. The road is still being constructed. One should wear comfortable shoes and keep water bottle. The place is so magical. Absolutely calm and hardly any people. Water is crystal clear and you can witness many beautiful birds and animals. It's good to have binoculars. Due to the remoteness of the place is not advisable to stay till late. Leopards have been sighted inside so it's best not to venture on unpaved roads without proper guides. Do keep all your garbage and plastic bags with you as this place is a wildlife sanctuary and has been kept very clean. Let's not spoil this hidden gem of our city. Note: Although the place has been inaugurated but it's still not open for public till 14th Feb 23, as the road is being constructed to the neeli jheel. Please contact the asola bhatti authority before planning a trip. It might be fully functional in a month or so. A canteen and boating facilities are also in the pipeline.

It was amazing and wonderfull experiance, this place is within Delhi, to get maximum view of animals try to visit early morning, ticket charge is Rs 10 per pers and no tickets for children below 5 years. there are approx 16 Km for Neeli Jheel from the entry gate, enroute can see the animals. four wheelers are allowed with a nominal charge of Rs 10. Entry timing is 7 am to 2 pm and exit time is 5 pm. Battery cart is also available free of cost. Ther are no shops available for foods except one small shop at Neeli Jheel, so carry own foods and ensure to consume it within the veh as lots of monkeys are there.

Faridabad and Gurgaon interstate border. It can be accessed from several points from Delhi and Haryana. On Delhi-Faridabad order, it can be approached from Tughlaqabad (Mehrauli-Badarpur Road) to Surajkund Mela Road (2 km (1.2 mi)) near Dr. Karni Singh Shooting Range, or from Mehrauli via Chhatarpur Temple 6 km (3.7 mi) near Sanjay Colony (Bhati Area). It is about 25 km (16 mi) from Indira Gandhi International Airport in Delhi, the Delhi Railway station is about 30 km There are about 193 species of birds reported from Asola along with large number of medicinal plants, more than 80 species of butterflies, hundreds of other insects, mammals such as leopards, nilgai (blue bull, the largest antelope of the country), blackbuck (fastest land animal surviving in the wild in the country), black-naped hare, Indian crested porcupine, small Indian civet, golden jackal and jungle cat. Delhi Ridge is the northernmost extension of one of the oldest mountain system of the world, Aravalli range, which begin in the state of Gujarat near Great Rann of Kutch.[1] Biogeographically it represents outlier of Aravalli Mountain Range among protected area in India.[3] It has a high potential for establishing conservation education and nature interpretation programs. It is Delhi NCR's green lung, carbon sink, source of ground water recharge, and shelterbelt against advancing aridity.[3]

A huge area of forest for conservating wildlife and rare species of plants. Not much of a value as a tourist place but if you have patience to wait for animals, they say you can see leopards or deers sometimes. The butterflies comes in the evening. There is a lake called Neeli Jheel which is a beautiful site worth visiting.. But it is recommended to go when there are no rains as otherwise the water appears green instead of blue.

An exceptional place in the heartland of Delhi. It is near Karni Singh Range. You can buy entry ticket for Rs. 10 and enjoy the soothing and serene atmosphere here. Recommended time - Early morning 6 to 8 am Bting your own water bottle and food. Don't bring plastic. Camera charges are extra but nominal. Good for outing. For vehicles, Rs. 500 per person, you can drive 14 kms for up to Neeli Jheel.

Wonderful place hidden in Delhi.. spread in 21sq km... various beautiful species of birds can be seen in morning. Ahmed ji works here and an teacher/instructor who will guide you on the trip. Almost every month there is an event planned here. You can visit online for it. There is a huge water body here which is 18km away from main gate, which can be approached by walk or by bicycle or by forest department car by request.

Amazing place to visit and see the beauty of nature. You can see various animals from different birds of 193 species found here to other land animals like leopards, jackals, black buck, nilgai and snakes are also there. Irony is that most of the local people don’t even know that a wildlife sanctuary exist here. Around 3 km away from the adilabad fort so if you are going to visit one of them then definitely should consider to visit the other one to as it will a delight to watch the scenic view of both the places. This place was earlier a mining site which has been now turned into a sanctuary with lakes.

Couldn't find anywhere how to seek permit. Assumed not required. Turned up at 10 am. They said nothing doing. Nobody had any idea on how and where to go for ticket or permit. Managed to somehow look at the butterfly park and nature trail. The main sanctuary remains out of bounds with out a prior permit and vehicle. Poor management and marketing!

Totally waste of time. Authorities must think about the visitors or should place and order at the border. They have 2 parks after entering, and surprisingly, these park have nothing special in it. Totally disappointed place... reached there after 2 hours of driving, and that said, "You can go to wildlife area in your own car and they have electric cars but it only runs in the morning at 9am and nothing after that.

Nice place to visit around Delhi. Ticket price is bit steep and they should consider bringing it down from Rs.500/- per person to around Rs.200/-. The track is nice for a Off Road drive and one should consider travelling in a better ground clearance vehicle. Neeli Jheel is the last point at 15 Kms with a brilliant view, but Monkeys create a havoc and one should be careful and carry a stick to keep them away. Overall nice place and one can consider for a day visit. We took around 3:45 minutes time to complete the travel. Forest department can consider to have a small tea stall with some snacks. The place needs more to promote with better ticket pricing to attract more visitors.

The place is not organised at all. There is a butterfly park with no butterflies in it, although it is a beautiful place to just walk around. There was another park beside it just to walk around. It is definitely very green and has that forest like appeal but apart from that everything was very poorly managed. The sanctuary has cycles , but only for their employees. There is a 16 kms safari which you can experience only in your own four wheeler for which the ticket is about Rs 500 per person and extra for camera. But there is no surety of spotting any animal inside. There is no arrangement for food and water inside the sanctuary although washrooms are available. In all it was a very poor experience.

Poorly kept place. Lot of plastic thrash and booze bottles/cans. There are a bunch of jackals, some Neel gai, macaques and cows. The emtru point collects INR 500 per head, wjoxh is definitely overproced amd probabaly illegal, as receipt or token is not provided. Huge potential, amd for INR 500 per heas a lot is expected, the least would be to provide toilets and drinking water points. The butterfly park is a joke, looks more like some abamdomed backyard of some home.

It's a worst place, most of the pics are fabricated. You will feel miserable after entering the forest as the sign boards are confusing and you won't find anyone to support you, even no network in the middle of the Jungle. Please don't visit to this place it is very dangerous....

We went to see butterflies there but the place was absolutely empty from such thing. No butterflies, nothing else which could let us spend there atleast 30 min. But the place has a great potential to become Delhi's best wildlife explorers delight. But some work needed..
