Very peaceful lake. In the evening you will find many people coming for daily walks and couples. This place has many trees, bird chirping, calm water and an open sky. You can visit if you want good air in Delhi. Go with your loved ones and enjoy here for an hour. Because it is needed. Thanks

It's Oasis in delhi .. Very beautiful lake but not properly managed by goverment .. I have been there several times and surrounding always dirty.. Authority should start a nominal fee to enter there. I have seen people celebrate birthday there and they don't bother to pick up the left over boxes etc. If you peace lover avoid holidays and weekends it will be Crowded. Sun set view is awesome from here.. Overall great place to visit surrounded by beautiful nature..

It’s a big lake in Hauz Khas surrounded by greenery and walking path. People come here mostly in the morning and evenings for a walk, while travellers can be seen strolling around during peak afternoon too. The water isn’t that great there, and no chances of boating. People click a lot of pictures next to the lake, and many cafes in the Hauz Khas area has invigorating view of the lake. A very popular tourist attraction in South Delhi, loved by Bollywood (Hindi Cinema) too. In the evenings, there’s a dance troupe that can be spotted between the Fort and Lake area. So enjoy your time!

It's an awesome place to to hang around, can go with kids too. Kids also enjoy running around and doing some gym in the park 😉 They feel good to see the ducks also there are huge bats on the trees, Kids loved to watch them as well. So overall a good place to spend a day well, walk, workout, run etc... Some love birds can also be seen which is common in parks these days😂

Walk around the lake is like walking amidst nature. This place has monkeys. So one has to be very careful while walking. As they snatch away the food packets from your hand and maybe your mobile too. 😀

My overall experience was ruined at parking. There were 5-6 local goons there and charged 180 rupees for 1:30 hours for parking without any receipt. And ready to fight with me on objection.

Hauz Khas Complex in Hauz Khas, South Delhi houses a water tank, an Islamic seminary, a mosque, a tomb and pavilions built around an urbanized village with medieval history traced to the 13th century of Delhi Sultanate reign. It was part of Siri, the second medieval city of India of the Delhi Sultanate of Alauddin Khalji Dynasty (1296–1316).The etymology of the name Hauz Khas in Farsi is derived from the words ‘Hauz’: "water tank" (or lake) and ‘Khas’:"royal"- the "Royal tank". The large water tank or reservoir was first built by Allauddin Khilji (the plaque displayed at the site records this fact) to supply water to the inhabitants of Siri. The tank was de–silted during the reign of Firuz Shah Tughlaq (1351–88). Several buildings (Mosque and madrasa) and tombs were built overlooking the water tank or lake. Firuz Shah's tomb pivots the L–shaped building complex which overlooks the tank.

Hauz Khas Lake located inside the beautiful landscape of lush green Hauz Khas District Park in South Delhi. The main source of water to the lake is treated effluent from the Vasant Kunj Sewage Treatment Plant. This beautiful lake is about 1 to 2.5 meter deep. An amazing place to visit for morning walk, picnic and photography of many seasonal migratory birds and ducks.

An old and important lake of Delhi. Located besides deer park in Hauz Khas, it's a sareen place to go to for evening walks. Though Delhi climate makes it comfortable only in few select months. A good green area, decent crowd and ruins of some old monuments in the same premises. So overall a good experience.

Timings Timings 10:30 am - 7:00 pm (Open All Days) Nearest Metro Station IIT (Magenta Line) / Hauz Khas (Yellow Line) The beautiful water body of Hauz Khas Lake, located in South Delhi, is a great tourist attraction. Built in 1284 by Alauddin Khalji, this lake ensured continuous water supply to the nearby Siri Fort 'Hauz' in Urdu refers to a lake or water tank while 'Khas' means royal, thereby translating its name into the royal lake or royal tank. This lake is surrounded by lush greenscapes, which are home to a variety of birds and animals like peacocks, rabbits, deer, etc.

Restroom available inside the premises. The price for entry is 25 per person, 300 per foreigner, history isn’t restored well here, broken pieces. Only for couples or college grads to hang out. The lake is awe fully green , I would compliment this is one of the greenest area in Delhi where I have ever been.

It's a good place for long walks , running and excercise , you can hangout with friends here, watch ducks in lake, rabbits, deer, monkeys ,open gym, swings and many gardens to sit . You can sit under big trees , take a look at fort and do your photography. This place also has skating ring and you can also take your pet here. Usually crowded on Sundays.

Beautiful scenic place to soothe your mind and soul amongst Delhi's hustle and bustle! You can visit the Hauz khas lake via the deer park but to enjoy the entire scene I would suggest going to the fort above and finding a peaceful spot as is evident from the picture!

You can certainly enjoy the view from both places. However, it is also visible from roof top bars in the area. The view is quite fascinating and even "Tamasha" movie was shot here in "Social". I am sure it has been used as a favorite shooting spot in other movies as well. Mostly, people come here as a couple or for social gatherings to enjoy music and art too. People do jogging and walk as well. I am not sure why Hauz Khas Lake management hasn't come up with boating experience may be they have given it a thought. In Delhi, I believe majority of people have visited this place especially during monsoon season to experience its liveliness and soothing environment.
