The hostel is decent for a one night stay. A delux room will come within Rs1000. It is in the heart of Delhi and has easy access to the main road and main market. Services are alright. You will get a towel, soap, blanket, TV, wifi. While I saw many good reviews, I would recommend it only if you are going going together with someone. I don't think I'll be comfortable as a solo traveller. The small path to the hostel entrance is not dingy and looks unsafe. Feels shady. The rooms also looked a lot better in the photos. There's no wardrobe or shelves. There's a single chair (in some of the rooms). So if you are okay with spreading out your things on the floor, it's fine. All in all. It's alright. It will not be my first choice.

The only positive thing about the place is the attention of the staff. They are very friendly and their dog is super chill and cute. The place itself is really dirty. Inside our room there was hair from previous visitors and weโ€™ve found 3 cockroaches alive only in our first 5-6 hours there. the location is really bad and smells terrible. Thereโ€™s a spot not far than 5 meters where people constantly pee on the street so itโ€™s really disgusting how it smells. We did not get any blankets to sleep either. In addition, in only 2 days there, weโ€™ve been followed by more than 20 different people and, even though this nothing has to do with this hotel in particular, you need to be aware that in this area they follow people constantly in order to get money from them by talking lies like โ€œnice haircut broโ€, โ€œyou look coolโ€, โ€œwhere are you fromโ€ and after that they walk with you to get money or to take you the next FAKE travel agency (no matter how legal they look, they are fake), where they get commission. we would not return. The only normal thing there was the stuff.

Great staying. Very good for the paid price. It is said that the people make the place and in this case, Sadam and Zahid, were amazing and we had a great time, also because of them. Full of useful tips that will help you survive Dehli, they were also super helpful with the transportation from the airport, train ticket, and also the friendly and relaxed vibe. Everything was super transparent and clear. Sadam, the restless man, makes sure that everything is understood and clear. Trust the guy! They deserve all the respect. The rooms are good enough. A deep cleaning on the bathrooms will improve the satisfaction of the staying. There is a rooftop where I belive you can hangout there but is 5 floors of climbing stairs. The overall localisation is good, a lot of services, markets, restaurants, metro... Just the small street to the entrance of the hostel are 10 seconds of not breathing, as there is a "toilet". If you are not used to dark scary street, don't be afraid. Everything is normal. Welcome to India ahah Don't forget to pet Alicia!! Thanks once again Sadam & Zahid!

This is hands down the worst property I encountered to stay, location is a mess, rooms are pathetic and staff are callous. Better to book Gostops/Hosteller etc for Hostel and Near By Hotels in case looking for Hotel accomodation. You might have to a dine more but will be better off.

Picture as shown in booking.com is not true. Location is infested with dogs garbage and improper people. Too unhygienic to even visit this place. Luckily I did not stay here after visiting this place.

Average, The location is bad as it is in a very congested area. Bathroom is poor, the handjet is problematic and needs to be fixed. Note, We were in the single bed room, not in the dorm.

The AC rooms are cheaper here than all the other hotels options in pahargunj, however, the area around the hotel is too messy with trash everywhere. One plus point is that this hotel is located at the center of main market(general bazar). You will save the travelling amount if you are here for shopping and the shops are also budget friendly.

Perfect place to stay for a night or two if you need to catch train from new delhi railway station. Staff is friendly. Rooms are little small but clean, property is little inside streets but it's in middle of the main market, so it's best place if you need to to go market, take a bus, metro etc. overall value for money

Great rooms. To get to the location you have to walk through a narrow path. It's near to Tadka Restaurant and you can see sign boards. Once we get in we get all the facilities and rooms are good. Wifi, AC and TV is available. Great room service too.

The staff were very helpful. They provided a taxi from the airport and also gave us lots of advice about how to avoid scams. Raj had a ton of good advice on how to approach planning the rest of our trip. The location was a mixed bag. We picked it for its proximity to the NDLS train station, which was very convenient. The neighborhood has a couple really great places to eat and some very good shopping deals. However the hostel itself is down a dark alley that has a lot of public urination going on, and we heard several loud drunken arguments happening right outside during our stay. If youโ€™re a seasoned traveler then maybe this is not a big deal, but if not then I would look for a nicer neighborhood even if itโ€™s less centrally located. As for the quality of the room, they definitely used a wide angle lens when taking the photos they put online - it was way smaller in person. We saw a few cockroaches, and because the alley outside is so dirty it was hard to keep the dirt from getting into the room as well. There wasnโ€™t much of a common area, which is a pretty essential part of the hostel experience for me. It made the stay here feel a little isolating. Overall this was a situation where you get what you pay for. If you are a budget traveler who has no issue with cockroaches or dark alleys then this will be a great place for you to stay.

    - same place as Kuldeep friends hostel. Raj who owns this is extremely pushy wanting you to book a tour with him and lies telling you that all the tourist offices are fakes, and that transport is really hard to book/you will be scammed unless you do it all through him. Four hours later we managed to leave his office. Room was also horrible as the air con dripped on my bed both nights soaking the sheets and splashing on my face and body. Avoid at all costs

Well this incident is about one year old, we arrived at 11:30 and were told to wait as there were no empty bed. One of the guests told us that there was an empty unused bed and she was checking-out so we could use her locker too. We had some important work and asked the staff to put our luggages in room locker. The receptionist told us that we couldn't use lockers unless we checked in and to check in we would have to wait till the dorm was cleaned. He gave us a waiting time of 1 hour suggesting to go for lunch as the usual check out time was 12:00 and ยฝ hour for cleanup. We had booked the room for a quick shower and to store our bags in the locker. So we left the luggage in common room and left for work. Then we arrived in the evening after finishing our deal and decided not to stay as my friend felt the staff was rude and unprofessional. After we arrived to take our luggage, the receptionist insisted to pay for the room and we argued that since they didn't allow us to check in and use the room facilities, why would we need to pay! He then called the so called manager and other staff and they started to argue while threatening to call the police. So in the end we had to pay and move on.

Excellent for the budget. Small rooms that are a little dated. But beds and pillows are lovely and comfortable. Staff are very helpful and efficient. Location is tricky to find but don't be intimated by it's surroundings.

In the end I didn't stay in the hostel because I changed my plans but from the communication I had with the staff via email and phone call I can say the staff is really helpful and concerned about the safety of their guests and they did not charge me for me not showing up, which I highly appreciate! Thank you!

Hostel was in Paharganj side. But rooms werent upto the mark. Toilets wasnt that clean. I just booked the room to keep my luggage for the day and checked out by night. ๐Ÿ˜† Hotel manager not so friendly bus hostel k liye hostel khol diya hai atitude no smile no nothing. But housekeeper boys were better. They will still cooperate.

No roaches, warm water, fan controller didn't work properly, so we either had to use helicopter or very slight breeze, no mosquito net in windows, although in the toilet there is no glass The room and bed sheet were clean though. stuff not polite not rude. I also recommend the hotel to change auto welcome message. The information about scammers in the railroad station should come first, not last.

Second time staying in New king and both have been great experiences. Rooms were tidy and cheap with working AC. A bit difficult to find but locals will help navigate your way, and near a main bazaar which is super close to food and very central for most of Delhis best monuments. Bathrooms could use a clean but still in fine shape compared to other (more expensive) hostels within the area. Other than the positive stay, the staff here were extremely helpful in helping me out with a potential scam. I didnt lose any money and they were super supportive for the rest of the trip. If you can trust anyone its Vicky and Raj! Amazing people.

Take the first left, once you enter the street from the road. Second left takes you to the back of the building, no entry there.

I'm staying here at dorm and they allow the ac barely for an hour giving the reason that we don't allow the AC for single person. Also they are asking me to cancel the booking if you want that to at 12:00 in the night and asking me to go somewhere else like what is this even appropriate I'm literally sweating in the room, worst experience.

The location is not good as it is in a slum place. The rooms are not that spacious and the stairs are very much accident prone owing to its sharp and small shape.

Terrible location, staff and experience. Room doesn't have working 5v, shower, flush or a proper bed. AC does not work. And the staff says you don't need the since you have mobile. Internet doesn't work so so much for that. AC is not needed since it's winter.the Location is terrible. Unsafe for women and cramped. Will.not recommend.

Located in a dump of an area. Not at all looks like how its shown in the pics. There were used plates and liquor bottles lying all over the place. It doesn't have a lift and climbing up the stairs everytime is a hassle(my room was in 4th floor). Also, it's in a street where ppl urinate in a corner and you can imagine how worse the whole Street smells like. Since we had to walk past this dump of a street and climb up the stairs which feels like climbing a hill everytime we go out, we checked out without staying there for the night. Also, there was no foot mat present in the room. I literally asked 5-6 times to provide a foot mat. They didn't. They only gave false assurance that they'll send one. Also, tv was not working properly.

The backpacker Heaven is within walking distance of the New Delhi Railway station, which is its biggest advantage. Definitely try for backpackers. The bathroom was too small and that was the biggest drawback I felt and Sometimes the water also had difficulty
