Food was good, fresh, clean. I love this old school style. Service was fantastic. It was inexpensive. I am glad to find this place. I keep going back for breakfast.

We could not get a place inside the restaurant so had to sit in the outside sitting area. We ordered Veg Manchurian Noodles and a plate of vadas. The vadas were hot and crispy with there different chutneys but the noodles and Manchurian were a disappointment in terms of taste as well as the quantity. We found the food to be a bit pricey for the price.

This restaurant is old and overwhelmed by guests as they find it very hard to accomodate them. **They have very small place for dining, so expect waiting in the weekends. ** The beetroot chutney is something delicious and to crave for. *** A must visit for South Indian dishes.

I was recommended this place by a friend, and I recently got the opportunity to visit this place to try their amazing food. We were offered a table in the AC dinning room just behind their main area. The place was a great comfort in the humidity of September. Even during the weekend afternoon, it was not very crowded which was a comfort. We ordered their Special platter, one Mysore Masala Dosai and a few drinks. All items were of great taste and quality. Rasam and their Beetroot chutney was really delicious. I couldn't ask for anything better. It became my favourite place around that area now. I would visit it again to indulge in the South Indian delicacies of Chidambaram.

First of all, great food for a reasonable price. It serves south Indian and Chinese food options. The ambience and the cleanliness really needs to be given proper attention. Since it's an old establishment and not much renovation seems to have happened, the tables are wobbly with broken edges, which should be changed or repaired. One or two cockroaches can also be spotted . Staff is really courteous and wouldn't mind making a few changes in the dish according to the customer. Overall it's a good and a pocket friendly place.

After years of wanting to visit here, we finally made it on a rainy morning. Ordered a mix snacks thali, which had an uttapam, masala idli, vada, sambhar, rasam, and halwa. Everything on the plate was super delicious, the uttapam being the star. Pricing is reasonable, and service is super quick. I think it is one of the best South Indian food experiences in Delhi.

Super food....very prompt service.....very nice.....ordered masala dosa and it came with piping hot sambhar and 3 varieties of chutney! We were also served Rasam before the main course was served...... Delicious food....

Overall, the food was good. They served with rasam in starting and then the order. Service was fast. Clean however congested. Also, if they can separate the boundary of public toilet as people cross from their courtyard. It appeared unhygienic to me as a person was preparing food boxes and few minutes ago someone crossed that area who came out from public convenience.

While we have a confusion between Chinese and Italian cuisine, we finally found the mid way and settled for our all time favourite @chidambarams authentic South Indian for Lunch 😍 We were offered with the Best hot spicy Rasam which is usually served as side of all the South Indian dishes.... Ofclurse , we had a dosa with unfiltered emotions : Raw(a) Mysore Dosa and a Masala Uthappam which is nothing but a pizza who went to South India for studies 🌝 along with perfectly blended Chutneys of tomato (Sweet and Spicy), coconut and Mint. Rating : Rasam - 4/5 Raw(a) Mysore Dosa - 4.5/5 Uthappam - 5/5 Highly recommended for Breakfast and Dinner ❤️

Has the old world charm . It seems to have stopped back in the 90s and has stayed that way ever since. They have a nice collection of intriguing wall clocks. A glass of piping hot rasam is the very welcoming drink one gets at this restaurant! A great way to start a meal. Had the South Indian lunch thali. Unlimited accompaniments are served as part of this meal. The thali is average. It lacks the punchy South Indian flavours. The papad is nice. So is the chaach. Had South Indian meal platter 1, where the dosa and uttapam are nice. But the idli needs work. The beetroot chatni is interesting. Overall decent place. Can eat here once.

Really love this place. Almost 30 yr old. Serves authentic South Indian. Small place but always crowded because of its rich taste. They serve complimentary rasam when you reach and unlimited sambhar and chutneys.

Was here on Friday afternoon. Was busy and had to wait for 10 mins before we could get a table. Small space but very popular. Welcome drink Rasam was great. Good variety of chutneys. Nasal dosa was great. Special Thali was ok and found too many dishes in the plate so recommended to share the plate. Pongal was great.

DO NOT MISS the Chef’s Special Rava Dosa. It comes with a papadam, dahi chaat, rasam and buttermilk. We also tried the Masala Dosa. For the first time, every little detail was perfect including the chutnis. Will surely visit much more often. Great taste!!! The service was also quick.

Well all I can say is very good as per the other nearby South Indian restaurants. But the space needs to be renovated with nice ambience.

Best place to order south indian food on Zomato. Food not too spicy and kid friendly. The delivery came in nicely packed and individual containers for the thali items. Disposable cutlery included as well. Highly recommend. Thanks for the professionalism which is rare from the top chains like Saravanaa bhavan. 👍

Ordered a meals takeaway from here. The food was all packed with no spillage. The taste was very authentic and was enough as lunch. The papadams were a bit soggy due to delivery, but the rest was all great.

Authentic south indian food on very reliable rates is offered here. Must visit place and it can be reached from nearest Jor bagh metro station as well. Platter, dosa, idli and wada everything is delicious and you will be getting rasam alongwith it which is tasty. Ac sitting area is ther for people who want to eat there.

A pure and authentic south indian cafe. If you have ever gone to south india and have tasted some food, this small cafe will definitely bring memories back. The vada, idli, sambar and all chutneys are really good. Got one unexpected beetroot-onion chutney, that was yummy 🤤. The filter was also so perfect. The seating capacity here is low but this place is definitely worth a visit.

If you're looking for south Indian food ,they're in top 10 in Delhi. Small place just around 20 sitting area but in taste it's orsam. I recommend must check. Rates are reasonable as per their quality. I am regular since my childhood.
