Loved this place. Sanjay van is a vast city forest which is well maintained. Green all around. Remains of Quila Rai Pithora by King Anangpal give you the glimpse it's past glory . It also gives you the view of the forest from the peak. 360 degrees of calmness, peace, natural beauty. Try to visit in the morning or evening. Good things about the forest: Clean Well maintained Clear path for the joggers. Washroom. Open gym. Park. Bad things: As I love history I want the govt to take more care of the historical remains. A highlighted board and discription of Quila Rai Pithora should be outside the forest. Every inch of encroachment must be removed .

It's a great place to get lost in and forget the hustle and bustle of the very busy city right outside. There are multiple well marked entrances. Paid parking as well as multiple eating joints are available outside the gate near Rockland Hospital. There are hiking routes, bicycle and waking/running tracks, well laid out gardens with ad quite seating, wild animals, water bodies, rocks, and medicinal gardens. Trekking along Lalkot fort is very adventurous. The place is great and peaceful and ideal for nature lovers of all ages and abilities.

Sanjay Van park, located in Qutab Institutional Area (opposite IIFT, Delhi) has multiple gates for entry from different sides. It is colloquially referred to as the lungs of Delhi. The place is full of greenery, medicinal plants, wild plants, beautiful flowers and dense roots, trees and canopies. It is basically a biodiversity park where youbare also welcome to come for picnics, morning-evening walks/jogs, cycling, playing outdoor sports like badminton, cricket / football (basic stuff, not properly like in a cricket ground / football field). You can walk your dog too ! (P.S. : One public washroom is there but I'm not sure on how clean it is)

A quite place in the hustle-bustle of Delhi. Far from air and noise pollutions. A peaceful walk in the woods. Rich flora and fauna. Monsoon time is fabulous. Lot of stuff for Botany students. Can also visit with family. Kids will have an adventurous time in the lap of nature. Unlike other places in Delhi, you can bring your home cooked food and have a treat in a winter afternoon. Full of Oxygen. Full of Butterflies and Birds. Very good for Yoga, Meditation and Jogging. Security Guards also available.

It is lovely place to visit but this is under threat due to new plans of Delhi development authority . As they are going to offer the management of this place to the private players for adventure sports and other things . Now inside you can see some e rikshaw . It is very horrible for the birds and the squirrels . It is like an invasion in the jungle . Save Sanjay Van.

Sanjay Van Park in Delhi is an absolute gem that provides respite from the chaotic city life. As an avid nature enthusiast, I was delighted to discover this hidden treasure nestled within the urban jungle. The park boasts an impressive expanse of greenery, diverse flora and fauna, and a serene atmosphere that makes it a must-visit for all nature lovers. The park's accessibility is a major plus point. Located in the heart of Delhi, it is easy to reach, and the ample parking space ensures a hassle-free experience. Upon entering, one is immediately greeted by a sense of calm and tranquility, as if stepping into a different world altogether. Walking along the well-maintained trails, I was enchanted by the sheer beauty and serenity that surrounded me. The park is a haven for bird watchers, as numerous avian species can be spotted throughout the year. It's truly a delight to witness these colorful creatures in their natural habitat, making it a paradise for photographers and wildlife enthusiasts. Sanjay Van Park offers something for everyone. Whether you're looking for a peaceful stroll amidst nature, a spot for a picnic with friends and family, or a place to engage in outdoor activities, this park has got you covered. The spacious lawns and shaded areas provide ample opportunities for relaxation and recreation. The park authorities deserve commendation for their efforts in maintaining the park's cleanliness and ensuring a safe environment for visitors. The well-kept pathways, clean washrooms, and visible signage contribute to a pleasant experience. I also noticed dedicated staff members who were readily available to assist visitors and provide information about the park's attractions. One of the highlights of Sanjay Van Park is its rich biodiversity. The park is home to a variety of plant species, some of which are rare and endemic to the region. Exploring the dense forests and observing the flora up close is an educational experience in itself, reminding us of the importance of preserving our natural heritage. While visiting the park, it's essential to respect the rules and regulations set by the authorities. It's heartening to see that visitors are mindful of this, contributing to the overall peaceful ambiance of the park. In conclusion, Sanjay Van Park is a hidden oasis within Delhi that offers a much-needed escape from the hustle and bustle of city life. It's a place where one can reconnect with nature, enjoy solitude, or spend quality time with loved ones. The park's natural beauty, serene atmosphere, and diverse wildlife make it a must-visit destination for locals and tourists alike. I wholeheartedly recommend Sanjay Van Park to anyone seeking a tranquil and rejuvenating experience amidst the urban chaos.

Went on a cleanliness drive and boy despite being cleaned every Sunday since last 2 months, it still had dumps inside and about 80-100 kgs of garbage is being picked each Sunday morning.. Apart from that the Van is well maintained from the outskirts, the Peacock Hill and the hilltop view are amazing !!

It's a very nice place and natural forest area to spend time with parks inside. I parked the vehicle outside the entrance on the road and I have to pay ₹20 for 1 hour and 5 mins. If you park 50 m away from entrance no need to pay any amount. (No one pays as they know, i paid since its first time for me). The amount earned through parking will be much lesser than the salary of the guy and why do Delhi Government want to charge their people for parking on streets and it's written on the slip that to park at owner's risk, then why do they charge? also extra ₹10 even if it's a minute more. I don't feel this is fair on any part from Delhi Government to charge at this site and Government should reconsider all this site's in Delhi for the betterment of it's people. I feel instead of paying the guy, Goverment can help it's people.

In Delhi, If you want to escape from the concrete jungles, the urban hustle bustle, the traffic, the noise and that too within a matter of minutes, Sanjay Van is what you're looking for. In the midst of a concrete jungle, lies this beautiful and preserved jewel of Delhi, if you ask me the best time - I would suggest reaching there predawn, and there wait for the dawn and subsequent sunrise, you will thank me later.

It was closed to the general public as LG Delhi was inside. I fail to understand why can't they conduct security check and let the general public inside. Why are these VIPs kept in such a cozy cocoon? When will we leave this elitism?

One of the most lush green patches in Delhi. This is perfect place to spend some time in calmness. The forest is dense. You will find there is almost no noise of vehicles inside the park. A perfect place for a walk with its unpaved walkways. There is a watch tower inside the park, which you can search on Google maps too. The view from watch tower is mesmerizing. There is no canteen inside or around so if you want to spend some time, or going for workout, carry your own water bottle. There is no designated parking space. Usually, visitors park their vehicles roadside near the park gate, and you can do the same. Also, there is no public toilet inside.

It is a dense forest within Delhi. Considered to be the lungs of Delhi, this area has trees, animals (a lot of dogs), a stream, and part of Aravali hills scattered within this area. I entered from gate no 3. And it was pretty dark at around 6:15 PM. Although there were few people who were entering and a lot more who were coming out of the jungle. Better to go with few friends and not alone.

Beautiful treasure in the area! Lovely garden, you can easily get lost in this place! There are many peacocks in the park. And a lot of spots where you will find plenty butterflies in the greenery! Small steam runs through the park. Has a small area with gym equipment which is interesting! It additionally is lined by a few eateries around with quick parathas, some Chinese joints, and healthy Bel juice! You will find may biking groups huddles in these eateries on weekends. Most of interest to children and couples

You can find different types of animals and birds here , some of them are Nil Gai, Golden Jackal, Indian Snakes, Ducks and other types of birds. 🦆🐂🐍 For exploration you can have a view from Viewpoint Tower and Pahadi from where you can have an amazing view of Delhi and Qutub Minar, also you can visit the lake inside the van , masjid sulemani is one of the place you can visit. 🌳🌿🍂 →It is safe and recommended for the tourist and residents to visit Sanjay Van before Sunset. Go for cycling and walking but no vehicles other than cycle is permitted or recommended inside the forest. - FUN FACT : Sanjay Van is one of the most haunted places in Delhi so again don't go after the visiting time i.e. sunset.
