Really liked my stay.completely upto my expectations. Rooms were so clean and breakfast was also good. Courteous and helpful staff. Some network issues are there but their free and fast WiFi service will make everything simple. Enjoyed the vibe.

Perfect place to stay in New Delhi, would definitely book again. Quiet and calm area and friendly staff at the hotel. Our driver found it a bit difficult to get past the security as we arrived late, so good to know if you come past 10pm that you’ll need to go past a guard to get to the address.

I was lucky enough for my first trip after the pandemic to stay at this quiet and well serviced place. The location is fantastic since this is one of the outstanding colonies in Delhi with a nice park at a walking distance, greenery all around. The staff at Colonel's retreat 2 was friendly and very accommodating. I'd like to stand out Naveem whose attitude made my stay even more enjoyable. Had the chance of changing rooms while there and all for the best, also breakfast was a great experience trying out as much of the local flavors as possible.

I don’t even know where to start so I’ll start from the literal beginning. I arrived after an 11 hour journey through road, I was greeted by my name warmly at the gate. I felt like I was arriving home. The staff was so friendly and made sure I had dinner, literally like coming home to family. The rooms are SO clean. The cleanest hotel I’ve stayed in Delhi (I’ve been coming for 10 years to India). The neighborhood is quiet and full of trees, I could hear birds chirping every morning and the view from my room was towards trees, it made me feel like if I was elsewhere and not in a huge city. The breakfast is delicious and meals feel home cooked which is definitely a plus. Colonels retreat is definitely a haven within the city. Perfect for women solo travelers. I will definitely come back, again and again, every time I visit Delhi.

Great location - near the metro but a little oasis of calm from the craziness of Delhi! Breakfast was very good as was the one evening meal we ate there. All the staff were friendly, helpful and attentive. Room was clean and the bed super comfy. Would definitely stay again if I was in Delhi.

Charming room, centrally located, friendly staff, wholesome breakfast. Cons were lack of a bidet spray in the toilet, and poor mobile connectivity in the Defence Colony area (made up for by the wifi but you have to leave your room at some point).

It is an excellent place to stay. I felt safe while I resides in the colonel’s retreat. The staff is helpful, flexible, friendly and courteous. The chefs made awesome food. More than anything else the rooms are neat and hygienic! The only reason I have to unfortunately give 4 star due to the cab service. I picked up their cab service which doesn’t have AC working. In a polluted city like Delhi air conditioning is must. I almost paid double the cost which OLA AC cab offered at that point of the day. Secondly thought good is good the cost is high. However that is not a major concern. Overall it is a great hotel to stay. I would recommend it less their cab service.

Fantastic place to stay. Really well trained staff including the Guard at the gate who is very jolly. Rooms were neat and clean. We had a leak in our room when raining but apart from that the rooms were really nice. Highly recommended.

Colonel’s Retreat is located in a quiet residential area of Delhi. After a day in the center, I really enjoyed the silence of this hotel. The room was clean and big and we had a terrace too. The restroom was ok. Unfortunately both room and restroom were very humid. The owner and the staff are nice, since we had to catch a train in the early morning they packed our breakfast. Overall a smooth and relaxing stay. Thank you!

We had a great stay at Colonel's Retreat. It's in a quiet residential area with easy connections to a lot of places. Shopping areas and restaurants and markets are nearby. The Metro station is close and it's easy to get autorikshaws and cabs. The best part of Colonel's retreat are the staff who are incredibly friendly and helpful. We were very well taken care of. Rooms are clean and well equipped. Colonel's retreat is a much better option than some impersonal hotel chain offering.

A lovely calm & quiet area to stay at in south Delhi. The rooms were big and spacious, clean and contemporary decor. Nice bathroom, good pressure rainfall shower. Breakfast and afternoon tea included. Breakfast could have been slightly bigger, 1 of each item, but all very tasty. Couldn't fault their service. We were up and out early in the morning for the train and the guard had even sorted us a take-away breakfast. Its a little oasis up on the roof terrace, away from the noisy city. Well located - 5mins to metro station. Highly recommend. Will definitely come back.

We had a lovely room: fresh, clean, comfortable, and calming decor. I especially appreciated the great bed and super nice sheets and pillows: a much welcomed respite for a weary traveler. Both dinner and breakfast were delicious. It was some of the best Indian food we had during our month travel through India. The hosts/staff made us feel that we were special guests and frequently checked in with us, offering wonderful masala tea and home made banana bread. All in all, we found this hotel to be a welcoming and calming retreat.

Really liked my stay. Good room and bathroom. Regular service, quiet neighborhood in a great location. Staff is super helpful. Only thing which sucked in the entire defense colony area was network and wifi. So striking off 1 star.

Loved it. Very clean and well maintained B&B in a calm neighborhood. Don't expect 5 star hotel amenities though. Breakfast was prepared as requested- Bread and Butter, Omlette and Poha. Host/caretaker and staff were very accommodative and helpful. Would prefer this place for further visits to Delhi. Only downside- Bedding was too thin with the AC ON (perhaps due to Delhi heat)

Had a great stay here late last year. Great hosts and great property. Rooms were big and clean - great amenities. Wifi worked perfectly. Really enjoyed breakfast on the rooftop. Also had a great dinner on our last night. The owner was so nice to let us have a late check out as well, Great location as well - easy walk to cafes, shops & restaurants in Defence Colony Market. I would highly recommend.

You have better options in Delhi

We had a wonderful stay at the Colonels Retreat, courtesy of Suman and Arun. The location was excellent, right in the heart of the Defence Colony neighbourhood. Accommodations were well-arranged and clean. All utilities were in good working condition. Food was fantastic - it was a treat to be able to enjoy different Indian cuisine every morning of our stay. House-staff were kind, courteous, and very helpful. Suman and Arun were very kind hosts - they actually stopped by during our stay and checked in with us and other guests regarding our experience, answering our questions. Our experience in the guest house was special and a highlight of our stay in Delhi. Thank you!

Would really prefer staying here whenever I visit Delhi, the staff is very good, their food cooked in house is also very amazing, the hotel is very clean, maintained with a lift. Would prefer anyone visiting Delhi to stay here than a fancy hotel, as the area is also very calm and pleasent.

This is the best stay if you are looking for something similar to an Airbnb but better. I loved the stay recommend it.

Perfect B&B in the most beautiful, calm location. Feels like home. The hospitality, service , cleanliness, food everything was excellent. The staff Mr Naveen was very courteous and provided good service. Highly recommend for Delhi stay. WiFi service was good although phone network is bit poor in the area.
