Twice I have been there, the details of the experience I had are as follows - 1.Emergency department Safdarjung hospital -Doctors were busy using WhatsApp instead of checking the patients - BP monitoring machine was showing 143/112 after trying for 10 minutes. Imagine going to a hospital's emergency where bp monitoring machines are not working. - 2 patients were laying on a single stretcher Or bed ( I don't know whether it was a bed coz it looked like a stretcher) - please don't visit if you wish to live. 2. Let's talk about OPD experience Unfortunately I went to pulmonary department in SS BLOCK thought that it would be satisfactory Went to the 6th floor, 3 lifts were out of service. After that DOCTOR SHIBDAS CHAKRABARTY , he is a senior consultant who doesn't know how to talk, he treats patients very badly, if you cannot handle patients in OPD just leave your job nobody has forced you to work here, if you don't know how to talk , what can a patient expect from you. Worst Doctor I have seen in my life. You are not doing charity there, you are getting huge salary , and for that you were not forced ,and you are supposed to treat you patients properly . LEARN HOW TO TALK OR LEAVE IF YOU CAN'T HANDLE OPD. Instead of visiting Safdarjung hospital for any kind of treatment, better go to other hospital.

One of the best hospitals available in new delhi with all modern equipments and a hub of advance medical services partially governed by the Indian government. It comes with all major departments with better experience faculty and staff and have given a lot of patients and their lived ones hope of new life and ethics. I pray with almighty whoever comes to this place should leave with smile on his/her faces.

Government Hospital in Delhi. It is located in the South Delhi Near AIIMS. Nearest Metro Station is AIIMS. It is specially for the Burn Cases but other patients can also go. Now days it is well maintained and staff is also good. Emergency is open 24X7. OPD is also available here. Parking facility is also available inside the campus. Gate no 7 is best for the entery and exist as OPD and Parking facility is near to the Gate No 7. You can also have food outside the hospital. For attendent of patients some chairs are provided but in night one has to sleep on the floor. Drinking water and Washroom facilities are also available inside the hospital.

The star I gave was for the emergency dept./ building. But, as for other building and dept. No star. The hospital has good emergency facilities and buildings..but, the wards are so pathetic. It's the worse place ever in terms of hygiene, services, doctors and nurses (staffs), not enough beds, not enough rooms. People who are admitted basically share their beds. I was looking after a friend who was admitted there he was sharing his bed with another patient. I spend the whole night standing as their was no place to sit nor any place to lean on to. the guards are basically the commandos of the hospital. Verdict : I wouldn't expect anything else given that it's a govt. Hospital everyone goes their except rich people. However, it can be better. Lots lots lots lots and lots of improvement needed. My recommendations(if you are going to spend the night looking after someone): 1) take a foldable mosquito net. 2) foldable chair 3) Noise cancelling headset 4) Drinking water from home. 5) be careful of your stuffs, their are thieves everywhere.

Safdarjung hospital really needs a good makeover. The washrooms are too bad and smelly. Construction is going in openly no coverage and all. People are lying on the floor. Just because it is a govt. Hospital that doesn't mean it should be like this for middle-class people.

Very good doctors....doctor listens to the patient carefully....and also help patient in each ad everyway ....very helpful environment....doctors are very good compared to other private hospital. Before going to any other hospital must visit here for proper guidance. Also the lines of opd are very long but that's ok ....... Very good behaviour of doctors 👍👍

The doctors here at Safdarjung are really experienced but the only thing is patients are way too many! So, one needs to have patience while coming here for treatment. Now, the hospital even has the facility to book appointment online, just login into ors appointment website and then you to get a appointment letter printed from the hospital itself. The printing line is not that much! Senior citizens & women line are less rushy. All in all, it's a wonderful experience here for the treatment.

This is my personal experience. 1. Doctors are so rude. I don't know from where they have passed their degrees. Entire staff thinks that they can talk in any manner since they are government employees. But they are not aware of the fact that when a common man pays taxes, then only their salaries are given. 2. Very poor management. One doc will say one thing, other docs will say other things. They are themselves not clear what to do. Majority doctors need some rigorous training on how to be more productive and efficient in their work. Bcz if they can't even do so, then central government should hire more qualified doctors in the hospital. 3. If you are a common man, forget about getting a bed untill and unless your situation is extremely critical and you are about to die. The hospital provides top-notch treatment to VIPs and their friends or relatives. No formalities will be done in that case. Direct admission will be there. This means nepotism also works here!

One of the best hospitals in Delhi..Situated just near the AIIMS hospital, the nearest metro station is AIIMS .The hospital is treating thousands of patients everyday..apart from that it has the largest OPD .They also have a huge emergency ward (they have 7 operational floors for OPD).One of my friends is studying his mbbs from here...Because of him I got the chance to go there ..He took us around the hospital and told us about his college and everything. Some of the good things I like here are the Super speciality block, sports injury center and the surroundings/atmosphere of that hospital..Although I have seen too many patients sitting on the foot paths that were quite depressing but that's quite common in hospitals and still this hospital has less people like this...

I was in Najafgarh since 20 years and many times I visited at Safdarjung Hospital. My expirience is horrible about views mostly.Infrastructure-The hospital is having a hug place and collage, traning center, & more many things are available in this space only.Hospital is sattled down in lots of space so there was no problamatic situation or reviews about space.Medical Care & Staff Attitude-Medical care is well N good and doctor never dispoint to any paitient and all doctors know their duety and they follow they follow all the required check up and all things veryy properly. Some of medicine will be received at hospital’s free store only but for the most of the medicine you have to move out.Hospital staff is always helpful and treat always in a manner so there is no complaint against their staff attitude or medical care al these things are good.My VIews-I have visited many time to this hospital and the most horrible part of hospital is crowd and really that crowd iritate very hard to all of paitent and due to this hug crowd paitent feel very bad and persnally I always feel bad due to this large crowd . Sometimes Fit and fine person feel like paitent due to this large crowd.

Very poor service and doctors of even emergency were very care less and despite of the biggest medical college and hospital they denied to treat my parents even my patient was in very critical condition. And they direct me to go to out side or take private hospital services. Now my patient is in a private hospital and okk..but Safarjung hospital is total waste and doctors of gynaecology they are useless completely...

In this pandemic they don't even take care Of mass gathering this is hospital but it is not safe for patient there are queues. hundreds of people standing in the line without any concern of social distancing you are not safe even in hospital like safdarjung. They may take action if you take pictures of their failure. This is what Delhi govt is paid for. Shame of you our system.

Services are ok as soon as you are an opd patient. But things are pathetic whaen it comes to admitting the patient. Least two patient in one bed, no visit of doctors in less than 8-12 hrs even in case of very seriousness no body cares. I saw 5 deaths in one day in one ward only and nobody cared. Pure negligence

Worst service ever you got from this hospital people are working here don’t have good behaviour towards patients they just ignore them or else yell on them it’s better to close this kind of free service which is not helpful for people poor class just wasting there time over because doctors are taking free salary they are just busy in there talks or else with their study while working these kind of services we don’t deserve it if we are paying for their salary and everything toilets are hell dirty there are huge lines to get slip and doctors are not paying any attention to patients they are just busy their own things we have to go outside for any check up like if we need x ray why ? Because there is big line big number their you have to take appointment for any kind of report you wanted it’s just you have to give whole 6 months to the hospital if you are suffering from anything people are working it’s not worth it to giving this much time to the hospital and there is one more thing I want to say government should stop saying this they are providing free services they are just like they should come and visit hospital once as a common person they will get to know there are lot of loop hols in there services and gap’s doctors and working staff not good with people over here they just treat them like you people are getting free services and most importantly there is no 24 hours services we get ops only opens from 8am to till 11am and these doctors and staff getting salary like big in amount why these services have these little duration why these services not for 24 hours being a citizen of Delhi I really don’t like hospitals services and there staff and I am doing up and down to the hospital from the past 4 months its just like I am getting new date again and again but not proper solution of my disease these hospitals should shut down no useless because when these hospitals are not capable to provide proper services to people there no use of it when we need to go private hospital for every Chekc and report it’s better we see private hospitals not these worst services after paying this much on tax service

The kind of language used by doctors, nurses and staff and security guards is a very serious matter. There are so many good-natured doctors who talk as if our lives are their gift. There is a clear difference between the facilities of government hospitals and the facilities of private hospitals. Government hospitals put a stamp on the fact that a poor man is born to suffer. The government should pay attention to these things. The situation is very bad.

My experience at Safdarjung Hospital are mixed - as every place has its Pros and Cons. 1. Some staff members are helpful while some staff members are very misbehaving. 2. There is cleanliness in the hospital and some places or Spots are there where people keep spiting and vomiting near emergency wards. 3. People were lying on the floor. 4. It is very difficult to navigate different departments at Safdarjung Hospital with asking from the office staff or taking their help you can visit where you need too.

Note:the hospital always first gave you the blank paper to sign they have no responsibility if your patient got expired. and this is not only for me i have asked every patient parents or friends they have also got the same so you can understand what kind of believe their doctors on own abilities 1.test reports always get late or missing. 2.staff will always suggest you please go for the private test they don't care if it's an emergency so also commitments will be same the reports will take time. 3.The doctor had declared my mother condition is normal 2 times after that my mother was expired after next day and we have found she was facing high fever on that time when they were declared my mother condition normal. And as i have observed that they are trying to decline your request always indirectly. Seriously this is my worst experience and i have many things about Delhi hospital kejriwal sir works really well in healthcare industry but really it's shameful experience with a biggest hospital and i will also file a complaint with consumer court regarding the same.

Safdarjung Hospital is a multi-specialty hospital, and the largest central government hospital in India if measured by bed strength. It is associated with Vardhman Mahavir Medical College and located in the heart of New Delhi on the Ring Road, opposite to the All India Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS). Until the inception of All India Institute of Medical Science in 1956, Safdarjung Hospital was the only tertiary care hospital in Delhi. In 1962, it became a centre of training and teaching for post-graduate students of the University of Delhi. From 1973 to 1990, the hospital and its faculty was associated with University College of Medical Sciences. But with the establishment of Indraprastha University in 1998, the hospital was later merged with the Vardhman Mahavir Medical College. The staff behaviour is very unprofessional, they will make you wait for so long and in the SSB block the guards and even the help desk people are not able to guide you properly. If you're planning for any surgery in this hospital especially at the Sports injury center then you should take one thing in your mind that it will take at least 4-6 months for the surgery from the first day of visit. It's better to opt for private hospitals. If you have any known person working in this safdarjung then you can go there as they give priority to their own relatives and all. There are no such rules for the token at the entrance of the doctor's cabin.

Bad things 1. Behaviour is very rude of many staff member like dr's, nurses, security guard, (some good and calm people also there) 2. Even this is a biggest hospital in india but cant get single bed easily, after delivery 2 ladies has to share 1 single bed along with there babies, what is the meaning of biggest hospital then? 3. There is no space to stay for belonging or relatives, they have to keep staying outside. 4. Water- in the biggest hospital if someone need water in this critical time you have to wait in que and if 5 people in que than u have to wait atleast 30 mnt's for one bottle water. 5. Patient will treated properly only in very serious condition, else you have to keep waiting till unexpected time. Good things 1. As this is a govt hospital so just one thing feels you happy that you can save your money by taking services by paying very little amount. Request you to all staff members please try to understand patient and there family problems, they are in trouble thats why they are in hospital, if you are behaving rude with them this will break there confidence, you are doing a fantastic job you saves lives but if you are treating your patient and there belongings in wrong way than we cant say dr bhagwan hote h :)

This hospital is available 24/7 and emergency time also doctors are available. The hospital is big and clean with high-tech equipment. And the staff members are very attentive and very quick. All types of processes are done in manner and in order. I was injured on 10th August and my friends took me to this hospital and my surgery is done very quickly and all the reports are also done with no cost because it is a government hospital.

Doctors here are excellent and take excellent care of their patients, but because this is a government agency, things move at a much slower pace than usual. Because it is a multi-specialty hospital, you should be aware of the various OPD days and registration times. Please keep in mind that because the hospital is competitive with AIIMS, it receives a high volume of patients; therefore, before bringing your patient in, you should register either physically or online through the ORS portal.

My Experience was not so good at Safdarjung hospital. Behaviour of doctors and other medical staff was good but the hospital was too much crowded. Not sufficient space for attendants. There was no proper Management for Patients. Parking was too costly they charged me 100 rs . Hospital is too Big. One good thing is that the treatment is good.

Safdarjung Hospital is a government hospital situated in Ansari Nagar , Delhi . Safdarjung Hospital is opposite to AIIMS hospital . I visited here yesterday . Hospital campus is not clean as I though it was .....Full crowded place 📢 .....Staff is too less as compared to AIIMS & the crowd . But doctors are experienced here staff is helpful & take care of every patient . If you want to visit here from metro , than the nearest metro station you have is AIIMS metro station gate no. 4 . Overall we are happy with the treatments, we have a very severe patient who can't walk on foot. We try to get a wheel chair after a long search, we found one, which can't simply be pushed forward, we push it backwards from one building to the other building. Please look into this.

Best hospital for Burn& plastic surgery. Drs& staff are humble. It needs to be more caring for senior citizens & disabledpersons.Sad to see the patients' kin are required to take the stretchers, wheel chairs to Dr. Chambers & IT rooms themselves.

Very bad experience. I visited here during covid situation for non covid treatment, the Dr are good they are knowledgeable but about the facilities and medicine other than common medicine like PCM, DISPRIN ,BP MEDICINE ETC, each and every medicine is proscribed from outside the campus. It's very sad but it's true, that patients from EWS can't afford it.

Safdarjung Hospital is a 1,840-bed multi-specialty hospital, one of the largest government hospitals in India. It is located in New Delhi on the Ring Road, right opposite the All India Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS).Until the inception of All India Institute of Medical Science in 1956, Safdarjung Hospital was the only tertiary care hospital in South Delhi.. In 1962, it became a center of training and teaching of Post-graduate students of the University of Delhi. From 1973 to 1990, the hospital and its faculty was associated with University College of Medical Sciences. But with the establishment of Guru Gobind Singh Indraprastha University in 1998, the college and hospital were later associated with the [[Vardhman Mahavir Medical College| Here doctors go on indefinite strike and treatment is secondary. Sometimes people declared dead is found to be alive hours before last rites.

one of the worst hospitals because of the lack of attention from doctors i lost my father it gives me the guilt of a lifetime that I have no option and i have to go with this hospital . Very poor staff they are used to seeing dead bodies and they don't care about any seriousness of the other patient. My father was high BP patient and he had surgery on the aorta they were even not able to control his BP. Even their equipment is so outdated they were not working. No ambulance facilities you have to arrange your own private ambulance. Their service staff are so Illiterate they are laughing when we carry my father from one area to another. some of the doctors who are juniors they think they are really god they even don't talk properly and did not see the priority of time they will not take any patient if the case is off urgent matter. I have lost my papa because of their negligence.

This hospital doesn't deserve even one star ....the management is poor beside that some doctors don't even listen to you properly...and I have no words for the security guards the way they treat the patient. I have seen some guards were offered bribe by some patients for their work done and they gladly accept bribes ...

Guards guards guards I think they are the ones who are going everthing in this hospital. And they also have no clue what they’re doing.

Worst hospital in Delhi only filled with gaurds. They treat people like animals. Only Doctors have put their reviews. I think they get salaries to just write reviews.

Employees think that this is their father's hospital or they always wake up, no matter what they do, they definitely make them feel that this is a government hospital.
