Best place in Delhi to Visit with your family. The zoo is spread in about 175 hectares. A quiet and calm environment. Too many exotic animals. Worth watching are the White Bucks, Egyptian Vulture, White Tiger, Ostriches, Cheetahs and Leopards. Although I don't personally like animals in captivity but thats I guess the only way we get to see them up close. Ticket prices : (12:30 to 4:30 PM) INR 80 per ADULT as on 01 Jan 2022. INR 40 per SENIOR CITIZEN. INR 40 per CHILD. There is a shuttle service as well which moves u through out the zoo and stops wherever you ask them to known as BOT stops. They charge INR 70 per head. There are icecream parlours and other food outlets inside the Zoo as well. Happy Visiting. Adios.

Delhi Zoo, officially known as the National Zoological Park, is a popular attraction located in the heart of Delhi, India. Spread over a vast area, the zoo is home to a diverse range of animal species, making it a fascinating place for both locals and tourists. One of the highlights of Delhi Zoo is the opportunity to see various animals up close, including lions, tigers, elephants, giraffes, rhinoceroses, and many more. The zoo aims to provide a natural and safe habitat for the animals, with spacious enclosures that allow visitors to observe them in a relatively natural environment. The zoo also has a dedicated bird aviary, where you can witness the vibrant colors and melodies of numerous bird species. Additionally, there is a reptile house that houses a variety of snakes, crocodiles, and other reptiles, offering a chance to learn more about these fascinating creatures. Visitors to Delhi Zoo can enjoy leisurely walks through the well-maintained pathways, surrounded by lush greenery. There are also plenty of seating areas and picnic spots where visitors can relax and take a break. The zoo is well-equipped with amenities such as restrooms, drinking water facilities, and food stalls offering snacks and refreshments. Educational and conservation programs are also a significant part of Delhi Zoo's initiatives. The zoo conducts various awareness programs, workshops, and interactive sessions to educate visitors, especially children, about wildlife conservation and the importance of preserving natural habitats. However, it's important to note that the zoo can get crowded, especially during weekends and holidays, so it's advisable to plan your visit accordingly. It's also recommended to follow the guidelines and rules provided by the zoo authorities to ensure the safety of both visitors and animals. Overall, Delhi Zoo offers a great opportunity to explore and appreciate the beauty of wildlife in a controlled and educational setting. It's a place where you can not only have an enjoyable time with family and friends but also gain a deeper understanding of the importance of wildlife conservation.

You can visit this zoo in two slots of timings..8.30 to 12.30 and 12.30 to 4.30. In four hours you can explore all the areas of zoo... The guiding maps hoarding are very helpful. Drinking water and public toilet facility is also available inside the zoo. Battery operated rikshaw facility is also available. The entry fee for adult is 80 rupees per head, for child 40 and for child below 5 it's free. Further, if you are going with baby then the staff will permit you to carry baby food. Otherwise no food item allowed. You can use the cloak room facility outside the entrance to keep your belongings,5rupees per bag. The parking area is also huge here.

Delhi Zoo: A perfect place for outing. Recommendations: - Do advance booking - Go on Rainy day or in Winters to enjoy fully, as on very hot day, you can’t enjoy to full and also animals will be inside/below the available sheds. - Carry water with you, although there are shop outlet inside. - Book Shuttle for sure, as even after the shuttle, you have to walk a lot. - Try to book morning slot or before noon.

Great place to visit with kids or friends. There are several animals in the zoo such as Leopard, Jaguar, White tiger, lion, hippopotamus, crocodile, elephant, fox, wolf, different kinds of monkeys etc. There are several birds as well in the zoo which are very rare and the colorful parrots are also a good mention. Ticket fare is 80rs for adults and 40rs for children above 5 years. There is no fee for children below 5 years. For ticket booking, you need to do online booking because there are no ticket counters. Overall it was a great and enjoyable trip and I'll recommend everyone who comes to Delhi to visit this zoo once.

Booking ticket online is the only option hence don't wait to reach and book tickets online, rather book in advance. Management 5/5 Hygiene and Cleanliness 5/5 No canteen service inside the premise which is good in a way hence better no to travel empty stomach as the tour takes minimum 2 hours and it's a fun overall. Have been to few Zoo's of the country and would rate 2nd best zoo so far based on my experiences. Had a better experience at the Kanpur Zoo though. For me the show stopper been the African Elephant. Few suggestion - 1. Do carry a water bottle 2. Avoid carrying food as security check won't allow 3. Eat before entering the premise 4. Better to keep map of zoo handy 5. Do take rick service, saves energy. 6. Avoid public holidays 7. Book tickets in advance

The zoo I recently visited left me awestruck with its remarkable blend of education, conservation, and entertainment. From the moment I stepped inside, I was greeted by a vibrant atmosphere brimming with diverse animal species and enthusiastic visitors. One of the standout features of this zoo was its commitment to animal welfare and conservation. The enclosures were spacious, meticulously designed, and mimicked the natural habitats of the animals, allowing them to roam freely. The staff members were knowledgeable and passionate, providing informative talks and demonstrations that enhanced my understanding of the animals' behaviors and conservation efforts. The variety of animal species was truly impressive. From majestic lions and tigers to playful primates and exotic birds, every exhibit showcased a different facet of the animal kingdom. I was thrilled to witness rare and endangered species up close, such as the elusive snow leopard and the giant panda. The zoo's efforts in breeding endangered species and reintroducing them into the wild were commendable, instilling hope for the future of these beautiful creatures. Apart from the animals, the zoo also had an array of amenities to ensure a memorable experience for visitors. There were well-maintained picnic areas, restaurants serving delicious meals, and engaging activities like animal feeding and interactive shows. In conclusion, this zoo provided an exceptional experience that combined entertainment with education and conservation. It left me with a profound appreciation for the wonders of the animal kingdom and a renewed commitment to supporting conservation efforts. I highly recommend a visit to this remarkable zoo to anyone seeking an enriching and enjoyable day out.

Went there with my daughter and wife on a lovely Saturday afternoon. There are 2 slots for which ticket can be booked online (8:30 AM to 12:30 Pm, 12:30 PM to 4:30 PM). Reached at 12:40 PM, to be welcomed by huge lines and school children. There were at least 10-12 school buses so you can imagine the number of kids. Despite the crowd, entry was smooth. We took the stroller inside for our daughter. This is a good place for kid’s educational tour but animals doesn’t look good in cage. Delhi Zoo should think on bringing big open spaces for all these huge animals . Main attraction Is the White Tiger. Reptile house is closed during winters due to snakes being into hibernation. Zoo management should limit the number of visitors specially when school kids are visiting. There should be fines to make the noise and to disturb the animals. There was a chaos inside because of huge crowd ( may be because of trade fair). Overall a good place if you want to give an educational tour to your kids.

Delhi Zoo offers a captivating wildlife experience with diverse species. The majestic elephants showcase grace and intelligence, while the sleek leopards and powerful lions exhibit the thrill of the wild. The rhinoceros adds a touch of ancient wonder, and the deer contribute to the zoo's serene ambiance. The well-curated beer exhibit (assuming it's a typo for bear) provides an enjoyable glimpse into these fascinating creatures' lives. The jackals and foxes add a sense of agility and cunning to the wildlife panorama. The snake exhibit offers an educational and thrilling encounter with these mesmerizing reptiles. Overall, Delhi Zoo stands out for its commitment to showcasing a wide range of wildlife, providing a memorable and enriching experience for visitors of all ages. Delhi Zoo, sit appr omitxiy to Purana Qila, seamlessly combines the thrill of wildlife exploration with the rich historical backdrop of the ancient fort. Additionally, its convenient location, just a short distance from the Supreme Court Metro Station, makes it easily accessible for visitors. This strategic placement enhances the overall experience, allowing for a seamless blend of natural wonders and cultural heritage in the heart of the city.

The National Zoological Park in Delhi offers an incredible wildlife experience for visitors of all ages. I went there with my family and friends. If you have luggage or extra iten ,you can deposit it at clock room near ticket counter. The ticket prices are reasonable, with adults being charged Rs. 80/- per head, children between 5 and 12 years at Rs. 40/- per head, and children below 5 years granted free entry. The zoo operates in two slots, from 8:30 am to 12:30 pm and 12:30 pm to 4:30 pm, allowing visitors to plan their visit conveniently. Tickets are available for online booking. E Cart available at the cost of Rs 70/- for each person, for 5 to 12 year it's 40 only. You can use it for your tour. The variety of animals at the National Zoological Park is impressive. From majestic white tigers and Indian tigers to African and Indian elephants, lions, leopards, jaguars, foxes, crocodiles, and a fascinating array of bird species including peacocks, the zoo offers a captivating wildlife experience. Visitors are advised to carry their own water bottles to stay hydrated throughout the visit. I got a chance to revisit my childhood when I planned to visit the zoo. I went on a festival day (Dussehra). I have to say I had forgotten it all as I had visited once when I was a kid. Be prepared to walk a lot since it's vast. However, now there are battery operated ferry rides available too. I would suggest buying the tickets online in advance and have something before you enter the zoo.

National Zoological Park also known as Chidiya Ghar is situated near The Old Fort in Delhi and is a favourite weekend spot among adults and children alike. National Zoological Park is well maintained and is largely visited by tourists. It has canteens inside for the visitors and battery-operated vehicles at very reasonable prices which you could use if exhausted. But the real fun is in exploring the place on your feet. Visit this destination to reignite your curiosity in our furry friends! From biggest cats to the tiniest birds, the zoo has all kinds of animals and birds. Initially, it was known as Delhi Zoo later it was renamed The National Zoological Park with the idea of making it the model zoo of the country. At the Zoological Park, birds and animals live in an environment that in many ways resemble their natural habitat. The zoo not only provides a home for endangered species but also helps them to breed in captivity. It also holds Conservation Breeding Programmes for Asiatic Lion, Royal Bengal Tiger, Brow Antlered Deer, Swamp Deer, Indian rhinoceros and red jungle fowl. It's a great place to visit with your children and loved ones for a great day out. 👍 😊 I hope this information is helpful. Please do comment and share your remarks. 👍 😊

Not Good at all There is no food stall in the zoo.. so you can't even buy water not tea or coffee and you can't even carry anything with yourself in your bag all eatable not allowed whether it's food or fruits so you have to cover zoo with empty stomach without eating or drinking anything.. pathetic experience please don't waste your time... It's better take your kids to Murthal have more activities and fun to enjoy and you can enjoy food as well . Animals also looks very weak I don't think they get sufficient amount of food.. "corruption"..

The ticketing is now purely online. You need to log on to the zoo website and get all the tickets. People who are not familiar with NetBanking or UPI or do not have a person in the group who understands this should avoid visiting the zoo. It is a huge place if you have old people with you then do not forget to take e-vehicle (charged separately inside) There will be a lot of walking involved so beware. The place is beautiful but not to many animals are visible. Enjoy the place as is.

It's better to not carry any food, or you can deposit it in security locker room. You can visit purana quella along with it.

As for animals love them 💝 💝 💝 💝 💝 💝 ❤️😁.The all animals are great 👍.For tour in the zoo there are rides but for them you have to buy your ticket separately but it's shortcoming is that it doesn't show all animals 😞😞. What I loved there most are the parrots and their voices 😍😍😍😍and the white tiger. I also saw the black chital And there were beautiful elephants and babies of many animals 😁😁 sooo cute and lovely 😍😍😍😍😍 . The regretful part is that I just got to see the eyes of crocodile and alligator 🐊🐊🐊.What amused me most is that the most of the animals will ignore you as they are already used to the crowd. Worth visiting 😀😀😀😀😀😀😀😀 so do visit for all elderly and children ☺️ they and you will love them🥰🥰🤗🤗🤗🤗🤗🤗🤗🤗

Also take cash with you for ice creams and cold drinks if you want to buy while roaming. Zoo is quite well maintained.

You have to book your ticket online only, they don't accept international card, only UPI. Inconveniences: food is not allowed Even though eating is prohibited, the zoo is not that clean. We wished the staff could control the food inside rather than prohibiting it completely. They could create some specific eating places. The toilet conditions are also poor

It's a huge zoo with many wild animals and exquisite birds. They have battery vehicles to roam around inside, the entry fees per head is 90 rs and the battery vehicle charge is 70 rs. They have maintained the place well, but it's advisable to not lean on the fence as one might fall inside and will be accessible to the animals. A humble request to avoid teasing and making loud noises to gain the attention of these innocent animals. They wait eagerly to get away from public view as soon as it's closing time. Go early since after 3:30 pm onwards you might miss the view of these animals.

There's lot to explore wildlife visiting the zoo. But you should hire zoo's battery vehicle, otherwise...this blender you'll realize after suffering.

A great place to take young kids to see the wild animals and birds. The zoo is very well-kept and maintained. There are a lot of wild animals, birds, mammals and water birds too. The zoo has the Asiatic lion, the white tiger, the leopard, the African Elephant, Rhino, Hippopotamus, The crocodiles, the painted stork, ostrich, emu, various species of deer (spotted deer, white buck, sambhar, cheetal, etc.), white peacock, jackal, wolf, fox, wild cats, etc. The whole zoo takes about 3-4 hours to spend. There's a lot of walking to do. However, if you have kids with you or older people who can't walk that much, you can book the tickets to the electric carts. They are Rs 100 each and are a great way to roam around the park. The entry ticket is reasonably priced at Rs 80 for adults and Rs 40 for kids (rates as of April 2023). There is no offline counter now for tickets. You can only buy them online. Also, make sure you book them before you visit the place as the internet network coverage around the area is not very good. No eatables are allowed inside the zoo. You can carry drinks and water bottles though.
