Best place if you love shopping at very reasonable prices and quality. The only problem is crowd and rush, So you better take safety precautions, keep your face covered and enjoy the shopping. My personal suggestion not to take your car, use 2 wheeler or taxi. There is less parking space issue but more to find the same place again in the end😀

The Chandni Chowk Market is located in Old Delhi, also called as Purani Delhi Chandni Chowk is famous for being one of Delhi's largest wholesale markets. Chandni Chowk New Sarak, Jogiwara is the place to find lehangas and sarees in your budget-friendly prices. Whether you have a budget of only 20,000 or you are ready to spend a few lakhs–there are lehenga shops in Chandni Chowk for every budget. There is also huge collections of Sarees and Lehangas for the marriage purpose. You can also buy Retail ( 1 piece ) from few shops. But the market is more about the wholesale. You can also visit via Metro. The Nearest metro station to reach Jogiwara is Chawri Bazaar Metro Station.

What a place bustling with activities, commerce, shopping eating, branded, street side, everything lively. Now it has been made no vehicle zone, but still you will find it difficult to walk. Shop whatever you want, eat yummy street snacks and delicacies authentic local and testy food. Experiencing is the best way to feel. So go and visit this originally developed bazaar by Mughals for their Begums.

The bustling wholesale market here is an excellent place to shop, explore, eat and soak up life in New Delhi. There are so many items u can buy exclusively there only. Like I went for some hand made packing paper, paper bags, ribbon, gifting flower, decorative material and so on. But u can buy so many things which you haven't even planned to buy. Here I have attached some of the pictures of items I have purchased from there.

Chandni market is divided into readymade garments, electrical and electronics sectors. Best place for two wheeler service. Negotiation is necessary for garments. Shoes are also available here. All types of clothes can be bought here for both men and women. Very moderately priced clothes are available here. But try to bargain hard.

Way too crowded for my liking. Dirty as anything you will ever see. There could be pickpocketers as well. Mostly looked like there were lots of bridal clothing stores which were not useful for me. Did not risk eating anything there

Wow such a hudge market in india specially delhi, market was fully crowded all days I suggest you don't come along with your vehicle. For today November 2021 month market was really neat and clean.. in this market all items means alll items are available in very affordable rates like saree's, bridles items, sherwani, marriage cards bridles and make-up shopes, sanitary and confectionery items, disposables and electronics items. Nearest metro station chandni chowk almost walking distance new delhi railway station almost 2 km far. But over-all my experience it was too good market for shopping.... Thanks. And I also share some photos hope you like..

Chandni Chowk, located in Old Delhi, is a bustling market known for its vibrant atmosphere and diverse offerings. It's a sensory delight with narrow lanes, aromatic street food, and traditional shops selling textiles, spices, and jewelry. However, it can be crowded and chaotic, making it challenging for some visitors to navigate comfortably.

Giving it 5 stars ⭐️ despite the chaos because the wedding shopping is by far the best in the country. The prices are unbelievable. It itself is a historic landmark for its location and food. The shopkeepers could be pushy but are respectful of your decisions. Make sure you bargain and don’t go with first option you see. The food is amazing. And now the new market is very well organised with new road making it so much more accessible and easy to walk.

Both retail and wholesale shops in the market. Best for wedding or festive shopping. Stores for festive home decorations. Market is usually over crowded. Only rikshaw option available for shopping inside the market no car or vehicle allowed. Don’t forget to explore the whole market before shopping.

Delhi's oldest and busiest market, Chandni Chowk is defined by crowded streets and a thousand shops selling all kinds of stuff – clothes, electronics, books, furnishings foods etc. Famous for marriage' outfits Paratha Galli also a popular point.

Good for wedding shoping....sarees and all.. its better to go and shop in the shops inside the bye lanes rather than buying goods in showrooms. Since its a famous market so its crowded too..its better to have time in hand so that you can explore and compare ...

Good place to shop in bulk. Varied variety of Indian apparels and local cuisine. A bit crowded and the roads are always jammed here. So best is using the metro to come here . All sorts of marriage related things are available here at an eye bulging price. Worth a visit.

I am coming to Chandni Chowk from a long time but the condition of road was not good at that time. There used to be so much crowd because of the bad road condition. But this time when I came here, it's so amazing to see the new and clean roads. The new renovation of roads are amazing. Definitely a good environment and amazing view of The Red Fort from the road.❤️ Note :- Only minor issue is of parking.

If you want to experience the full force of Delhi’s atmosphere, no trip would be complete without a trip to Chandi Chowk. The place can feel insane and overwhelming at times, but the place is full of life and incredible gastronomy: an experience I will never forget! If you’re ever in Delhi, you must visit this fantastic market. It is the adventure of a lifetime.

One of the oldest market place in Old Delhi near RedFort. Very crowded area where we can buy all items at cheaper prices. Few shops are with fixed prices also. Bigili (light) Market, Cloth Market, Kids(toys) Market, Electronic goods Market, Bag market are all available here seperately in different streets.

Chandni Chowk is one of Delhi's oldest and busiest markets, dating back to the 17th century when it was established by the Mughal Emperor Shah Jahan. The market's name, which translates to "moonlit square," is thought to have been inspired by its silver merchants. Today, it is a bustling, vibrant market that offers a unique blend of history, culture, and commerce. Stretching from the Red Fort to Fatehpuri Masjid, Chandni Chowk is a maze of narrow lanes and bustling streets lined with shops selling everything from spices and textiles to jewelry and electronics. It is renowned for its street food, offering a tantalizing array of culinary delights, including the famous parathas of Parathe Wali Gali and the refreshing lassis of Amritsari Lassi Wala. Aside from its commercial offerings, Chandni Chowk is also home to several historical landmarks, including the iconic Jama Masjid, the largest mosque in India, and the historic havelis of the wealthy merchants who once lived here. Exploring Chandni Chowk is like taking a journey back in time, where every corner tells a story of Delhi's rich history and cultural heritage.

I recently visited Chandni Chowk in Old Delhi and it was an unforgettable experience. This bustling neighborhood, over three centuries old, is a treasure trove of cultural and historical riches. Home to a diverse range of Indian communities, Chandni Chowk is famous for its heritage havelis, old bazaars, and various places of worship. Walking through the narrow lanes, you can't help but be enchanted by the vibrant life here. The area is a paradise for food lovers, offering a plethora of street food options like stuffed parathas, jalebis, and Mughlai cuisine, particularly at famed spots like Karim's. The spice, jewelry, dry fruits, and wedding markets are a sensory overload in the best possible way. A visit to the Jama Masjid & Gurudwara situated nearby, offers stunning views of Delhi, with the iconic Red Fort in the backdrop. The diversity of Old Delhi requires a whole day to explore all its hidden gems. Taking a rickshaw ride through the narrow, crowded lanes provides a unique perspective of the market's hustle and bustle. The area, built in the 17th century, includes one of India's largest wholesale markets. While the rickshaw ride can be quite an adventure, navigating the bumpy lanes and dodging other vehicles, it's an experience that truly immerses you in the local culture.

Too crowded. But good for wedding shopping. Can bargain alot. If the shopkeeper says 200rs you start from 80rs. Must try parathas in parathe wali gaali. The jewellery is worth buying. And can try road side chaat and chole bhature. Nearest mrt is chowri bazar.

Chandni Chowk is best for to get cheap and quality based things. For everything there's separate market like for Ladies Item's, China Market for Chinese products and cheap electrical items. Dry fruits & Clothes, Shoes, Socks everything you'll get here at cheap price. If you've good bargaining skill then you'll get your things more cheaper. Many businesses starts here like people purchase things from here and market them online and using ads and digital marketing skills they make large profits. So first thing first you'll definitely get rush everytime. These busy streets and rushing people's will frustrate you. If you want cheap things and everything at one place then must visit this place everything Camera equipments to dry fruits Clothes to Ladies purse. Explore & Experience 😎

There is lot of rush. Never ever go with your car. Prefer you park your car at parking then just walk out. Otherwise you will be in a big problem. But if you are walk out then you are free to go anywhere, you need anything from daily use to imported thing you can easily buy from.there but you should know that thing price too otherwise most of the dealer are there only for earning money. Only few of them are very genuine.

The oldest and one of the busiest market areas of India, Chandni Chowk is here. Small shops line the streets and offer everything from spices, garments, jewellery, electronics, toys. Barbers, florists, toy sellers and others who do not manage to find a space for themselves ply their trade on the streets. The streets of Chandni Chowk need no introduction. This part of Delhi is known not just around the country, but around the world, and with good reason, too—the charm of the place is certainly unmatchable. Being pretty expansive (and very, very crowded) on all days of the week, finding your way around this area can be quite intimidating. From lehngas and sarees to spices and herbs of all kinds to stationery items and books, you can find anything you need if you know which street sells what, and for that we are here to help you out. In the heart of Old Delhi, Chandni Chowk is a busy shopping area with markets full of spices, dried fruit, silver jewelry and vivid saris, while the narrow side streets are crowded with tiny shops selling essential oils, stationery and traditional Indian sweets. Nearby, the vast Mughal-era Red Fort now houses a museum complex, and the 17th-century Jama Masjid is a huge red-sandstone mosque with towering minarets.

The best place to spend your evening. It is completely a long lane which includes shopping, food, church, Jain temple, gurudwara, mosque. It brings all the culture in one single place. The place is rush but worth going and can get everything at reasonable prices. Opposite to that there will be red fort. The evenings will be good and there are baggis or rickshaw available to drop in n out also.

It definitely isn't the best time to go in the monsoon season but if you do go you'll have stories to tell! It's an interesting experience of old Delhi. The recent change to prevent cars and only allow scooters and rickshaws gives you the chance to get daring rickshaw rides and nice walking during the good weather. Lots of bridal related shops but also good places to buy traditional Indian shoes. lights, souvenirs, luggage, handicrafts, and so much. It is worth exploring the different galis and shops. Try the good food and check out interesting shops and try your hand at bargaining. Definitely a true Indian experience if in Delhi! I would suggest not going in the summer or monsoon season unless you're prepared to hide from lots of rain and flooding and move during breaks in the rain.

This is one of the famous and old markets of Delhi. It has a number of shops, it's famous for the wedding dresses. It has cheap as well as very expensive clothing sections. There are a lot of delicious eateries here. Do check out various YouTube channels for better understanding of this place before you go there. It's a very huge market, you won't understand it in the beginning though. It's always better to go here with a person rather than going alone. You can find many shop keepers who try to take advantage of you, so please carry pepper spray. Always be alert .Do keep your essentials safe.

Living in New Delhi, the original downtown (Old Delhi) is always a fascination. It is a rich and vibrant mosaic of old, traditonal with unbeatable commercial activity. It has so many facets to it. I parked at Hamdard and took a rickshaw to Nai Sarak (fancy cards for all occasions, books, stationery, laser cutting in Gali Satte Wali). My wife purchased all sorts of heavy duty colours, linseed oil and brushes, etc. for her art projects (artists have their predilections!). Some laser cutting on paper was also part of the milieu. We then headed back via Badshahbullah Chowk thru Chawri Bazar (famous for sanitary ware, measuring gauges, etc.) via Metro Station Hauz Qazi. The Hauz Qazi market is best for all types of hardwares. Mostly I enjoy my time and walkabout, but this time around I didn't get the time to eat the local samosa, hing kachori with aloo sabzi, etc. Maybe next time, sooner than later.

Total zero social distancing very over crowded, dirty and unhygienic. People there don’t have manners. They try to sell anything and everything. It’s only good for lehengas. Sarees here are very costly you will get same quality saree for less price in South India. You cannot breathe there it’s that congested.

  • 4/5 sumit kr. k. 3 years ago on Google
It is and very old market in categories of its traditions. It is one of best places in old Delhi to visit. There are lots of shop in every categories you want to buy or purchase. All type of budget you have just go to it.

  • 5/5 Lavanya S. 3 years ago on Google
One sure shot place for everything. This place is a hub for shoppers shopping for wedding. From lehengas to sarees to wedding invitation to bright red churas with kalires...you name one thing and you can find the same within the market. It is a big big market and a culture in its own sense. Although, a bit crowdy due to lack of space and sanitisation is a problem in Chandni Chowk. But one can never undermine the charms of the place due to these issues. I would like to add further that ones bargaining power also should be very strong for shopping smartly here.

  • 5/5 SwisterNews 3 years ago on Google
This place is for bulk quantities. If you are coming here to buy something, then make sure you did the complete homework before. Because a lot of sellers are here only for looting you. But if you have proper knowledge of your products then you can bargain with them for the best deal. On of the most important advice, never come here with your personal vehicle. Because this place is very crowded. You can hire any Rikshaw in ₹10-₹20 and you can explore the entire market. Because this place has the parking issues. To reach this place, the nearest metro station is Chandani chowk.

You will find absolutely anything here and way too many varying rates. Hands down the best place in Delhi to get street food. Saying that not particularly high on the cleanliness or security. Metro Connectivity and excessive rickshaws make this one of the busiest markets.

Crowdy street as always. Traffic on main road is almost nil , due to construction work. It will be more delightful to visit after completion of work.

Much better than what it used to be. The streets aren't crowded even on weekends thanks to the no vehicle policy.

This market is perfect place for foodies and wedding shopping. There are a lot of markets and excellent shops hidden in its serpentine lanes that you wouldn't find easily. Trick is not to get overwhelmed by all shops you see just on the main streets. It certainly helps to get along a local or somebody who's visited before. Foodies - The hygiene is mostly suspect for food sold on stalls. So do be careful about where you eat.

A good place to shop anything. Interestingly very few people know that Mirza Ghalib house is also here, which is known as Mirza ki Bawli. You can do all your wedding shoppings here from lehenga to kurta to suit to salwar to sari. But remember not to forget to bargain. Also do not miss to eat paranthas here. Also, you can have glimpse of Lal Quila from the Chandni Chowk

Hey there commuters, All Delhiites knows why Chandni Chowk is the best place to shop, eat and Enjoy. Well for those who are about to explore let me help you a little. For food :- We Have Famous Jalebi wala, Natraj chaat wala, Parathe Wali gali, Khasta kachodi, Kulfi, Rabdi and Non Veg too, For that you just need to take a small walk towards Jama Masjid and you need to explore the well known places. (p.s for those who need to relax a little find 'Ebony Cafe', i'm sure you gonna like it. Some things to remember, Due to covid avoid visiting late night as mostly places get closed. For shopping you have so many options, Well ofcourse not better than Sarojini market but We can't compare the both. If you need more help just ask me, anything i'll reply you as soon as possible.

It's a very old and popular place for shopping lovers. There are too many options to buy specially for the "special occasion" like wedding / parties. Just you have to be a good bargain. Apart from the the shopping good choice for fod lovers too.

Chandni Chowk is a good market, but some people charge very expensive but Some shopkeepers give very expensive but some people also keep the right rate. But those people should be charged only half the price they say because they always say more that that. That's why it should be taken only half of it, so if you go new there then you will bring expensive, there you have to reduce the rate.Bargaining is very important in Chandni Chowk. Quality is best.

Visited this place on 18th Nov'21. Enchanting by the line - line lehenga shop. Mostly famous for ladies dress available at wholesale price. I have attached the outline of this place. Hope, it will act as a travel guide. The happiness of sitting in the mahatma Gandhi park and enjoying the crowd paases by the ''paranthe wali gali'' will be remain imprinted always in mind. Well connected by metro. Likely to visit again.😀😀

One of the oldest markets in Delhi, Chandni Chowk is Old Delhi's main thoroughfare which is a chaotic wholesale market lined by hawkers and porters offering full medieval bazaar experience. It is an important historical site renowned for the availability of every kind of goods as well as food. It is situated opposite the red fort. Crisscrossed by narrow streets with shops jostling for space, Chandi Chowk gives a feel of old Delhi shopping. Since the 17th-century era, this places is rightly called a "shoppers paradise" . During old times, there was a tree-lined canal running through its centre, reflecting the moon. Hence, the name "Chandni Chowk" came to being which means "moonlight place". Shopping at Chandni Chowk is fun as the market is distributed in several streets and these narrow streets are inundated with vibrant varieties of clothes, perfumes, electronic items, jewellery, candles, idols of deities and lifestyle goods. The market deals in everything that shoppers might think to buy for oneself and as well as for home. As this is a wholesale market, one can get huge discounts on most of the items. These shopping streets is heaven for retailers too. Apart from shopping, this place is equally famous for its eateries, street food, and Indian snacks. It has been aptly said for this barrage of noise, colour and smell, "Are janaab Dilli aae aur chandni chowk nahi dekha to kya dekha?"

By the way, I have already been to Chandni Chowk. To be honest, I felt better last time than this time. Because earlier there was a small shop on the roads and sidewalks which used to give better deals. Now many new restrictions have been imposed there. Changed the original form of Chandni Chowk. If you want to buy toys, watches, electric items, clothes, then this is a better place.

If you want to go shopping for a wedding then this is the place. Do not go with the salesman who says their store got cheap and better sari's. Their shops are very inside and not safe to go with them. You have to walk a lot and inside they have rikshas to travel from one end to another end.

One of the oldest markets in the city, it is really a place to visit to see the charm of Old Delhi. A huge variety of shops selling all kinds of items from food to merchandise are present here. The easiest way to reach here is by using public transport as the roads are almost choked with traffic on a daily basis. Depending on what one is after, one can easily find it here at reasonable prices along with wide variety of items. A day trip here can be nice and rewarding, along with the local street food options available. Well recommended.

Exploring Chandni Chowk was a vibrant and budget-friendly experience. Navigating the narrow lanes proved challenging, but the affordability and quality of products available made it worthwhile. For parking, the area near Old Delhi station or Menna Bazar MCD car parking is convenient. Opting for a sharing e-rickshaw ride, priced reasonably at Rs 10/20 per ride, eased the congestion. A highlight was Arun Vastra Bhandar, renowned for wedding shopping. It's crucial to arrive by 10 am, as entry becomes challenging later. The place offers an array of choices but demands an early start. However, caution is advised for those with sensitive stomachs, as the local delicacies like aloo kachori and chaat are exceptionally spicy. Additionally, finding a clean washroom can be a challenge. Chandni Chowk encapsulates the essence of Old Delhi, combining affordability with a vibrant shopping experience. While the congestion and spicy street food may pose challenges, the overall visit is rewarding for those seeking a taste of authentic Delhi life.

"This market is not for beginners." I mean if you know how to bargain and know about the stuffs you want to buy from here then this is a good place for you. If you are a first-timer here you have to carefully of pickpocketers ( पाकेटमार) . When I visited here last time with my friend, he got pickpocketed. The pickpocketer steal his wallet from his laptop bag, that's why always carry your bags from front. Well he doesn't have any cash or anything important in it, so it was a relief. But overall it was great experience and we had fun there. I posted a photo of a Kachori shop below, they have very good Kachori it was very tasty. We visited Gurudwara Sis Ganj Sahib, it was also good. And bought many things from the market. Mostly my friend bought everything because I was there just as a guide for him because it was his first time there. Hence, I can say that you will have fun doing shopping here but you have to be very careful of everything. If you have any complaint about my review let me know. Thank you 🙏.

I have frequented this place on numerous occasions, every time I visit here, I am amazed with the beauty, tranquility this place offers and it always helps me discover a new side of the city. Situated in the heart of Old Delhi, it pulsates with life, bustling with crowds and activity. The congestion can feel overwhelming, particularly during peak hours, and even more so during festive seasons when the wholesale market amplifies the throngs of people. This place is like a dream for people who love to shop because you can find great deals here. It's also awesome for food lovers because there are so many different types of delicious food to try. It's the best spot to taste traditional Old Delhi food, go shopping, and take a nice walk in the evening. However, it's essential to exercise caution while visiting. Keep a close eye on your belongings and phones, as incidents of pickpocketing are not uncommon. Bargaining is a skill you'll need to master to secure the best deals, and opting for a stroll rather than relying on vehicles is often the preferred mode of exploration.
