This was the first Sikh temple I ever visited. The premises are vast and it is lovely to walk around the waters. I enjoyed a guided tour with staff from the visitors office to see the main building and the kitchen. The facilities are well maintained and clean. It is a beautiful and welcoming place, worth a visit.

Very welcoming and peaceful place in Delhi. It’s a religious complex for the Sikh community but all other communities are welcome. When we went to visit the shrine, everything was well organized. A Sikh association was offering free plants outside the shrine. ⚠️ Be respectful ⚠️ Dress appropriately ⚠️ Be read to leave your shoes behind while you visit the shrine

My most favourite place where I felt so good and calm. The place is so calm and peaceful. The staff who was collecting our footwears near shoe holders section randomly gave me chocolates which made my day. It was so kind of him. Everyone working there are so humble and ambience was lovely. Felt blessed. There is also a pond with colourful fishes. Food was very delicious.

It's a beautiful place. The bus dropped me outside then I walked in. The area outside smelled bad and it was dirty. People with no shoes were everywhere. I had to jump some time to avoid stepping on trash and dirty water. Inside, it was like a different world. We went into a room to leave our shoes there, some of us covered our hair. Before entering the main area, we washed our hands and feet and I thought it was so nice that there was an area for that. It was very crowded and it took some time to have a place to stand and to pray. I enjoyed the Sarovar a lot. It was gorgeous under the sun. I didn't enter from the main entrance so before leaving, finally I had a chance to see the main entrance which looked so white.

The most beautiful place we've visited in Delhi! Once you are there, you'll ultimately start to feel inner peace and harmony. Actually we also liked it to walk around on our bare feet and we considered it as a nice tradition to clean ones feet before entering the temple. Be sure to bring something with you that covers your head in order to respect the Sikh traditions.

It’s always very interesting knowing new cultures and religions, this place is very unique, out of all the temples I visited in this one no shoes but no socks either are allowed. The floor was very hot, except for the with tiles, the tour guide told us to step only on the white tiles. There is a tourist area where you can leave your shoes and you can can borrow a “bandana” type fabric that you have to use to Cover your hair. There’s a huge area with water where people take a bath. We had a tour to another area where food is served, you can see in my pics of the kitchen where everything is being prepared.

This is literally one of the best Gurdwaras, and the best and biggest one in Delhi. For me, the best times to visit are early in the morning, around 6am or late evening. But you can visit here anytime, and you're sure to find some spirituality. You can sit inside or near the water and I'm sure you'll find the your lost peace. If you're in Delhi, this is a must visit! It doesn't matter if you go here alone or with a company, you'll not regret it, even if you're an atheist like me.

It's feels so good and satisfying to be there that can't be expressed in words. I go there to remind myself that life is so short and slippery and chaotic, and we try to find to peace everywhere with no success. But this place is good at giving you a sense of peace even if it is for a short time. Please do visit here if you live in Delhi or if you have come to visit Delhi.

Gurudwara Bangla Sahib holds a special place in my heart. The grandeur of the golden dome and the tranquil atmosphere make it a truly awe-inspiring place. The recitation of Gurbani adds a spiritual touch that resonates deeply. The Langar, a community kitchen, is a standout feature, embodying Sikh principles of equality and service. Partaking in the free, delicious meals is not just encouraged but a heartwarming experience that fosters a sense of community. The Sarovar, a sacred pool, offers a serene space for reflection, providing a welcome escape from the city's hustle. The impeccable cleanliness and efficient management contribute to a positive overall experience. The volunteers, with their warm hospitality, enhance the welcoming atmosphere. Gurudwara Bangla Sahib, with its unique blend of architecture, spirituality, and commitment to community service, has become a cherished destination for me, offering cultural richness and spiritual solace right in the heart of Delhi.

Please be mindful of what you wear to a holy place. Wear something that covers your body and is not revealing at all. Gurudwara is always a place where everyone is suppose to cover their head with a piece of cloth at all times in the premises. Refrain from using mobile phones and talking inside the Gurudwara. The prashad is absolutely divine. Please don’t waste any. If you connect to the place I’m sure you’ll come back again and again.

Shri bangla sahib gurdwara is 👍holy place in Delhi and best for peace of mind 🌛🌛STORY OF GURUDWARA 🌜🌜 Built in the sacred visit of SRI GURU HARKRISHAN JI to Delhi. At the request of Mughal King Aurangzeb and through the persuasion of Mirza Raja Jai Singh of Amber, GURU SAHIB agreed to come to Delhi. Raja Jai Singh invited GURU SAHIB to the present site which originally belonged to Raja Jai Singh. Raja's wife thought of testing the spiritual powers of the GURU SAHIB and disguised herself as maid servant and sat among the attendants. GURU SAHIB at the age of 8 years identified the RANI and sat in her lap. Thus convincing her of the the spiritual powers of SRI GURU NANAK DEV JI and his True Disciples. In those days small pox was raging in the city of Delhi on an epidemic form. The citizens of Delhi suffered grief and death As a result of calamity that had befallen there. GURU SAHIB out of love and compassion for suffering humanity dipped his holy feet in water and poured charan amrit into small chaubacha (tank). All those who took water from caubacha were cured from the disease. Thus the people of Delhi were saved from that epidemic. Devotees with faith and devotion come from far and near and get rid of suffering by taking a dip in the holy water

Gurudwara Bangla Sahib (About this soundlisten) is one of the most prominent Sikh gurdwara, or Sikh house of worship, in Delhi, India, and known for its association with the eighth Sikh Guru, Guru Har Krishan, as well as the holy river inside its complex, known as the "Sarovar." It was first built as a small shrine by Sikh General Sardar Baghel Singh in 1783, on the bungalow donated by king Raja Jai Singh of Amer, who supervised the construction of nine Sikh shrines in Delhi in the same year, during the reign of Mughal Emperor, Shah Alam II.

On a foggy cold Sunday morning in Delhi, I had the beautiful opportunity to visit Gurudwara Sri Bangla Saheb in Delhi. It felt like a place where peace, prayers, charity and humanity meet. The place was extremely clean. Everything was well organised and we moved through to the inside of the darbar line very quickly. We need to keep our heads covered and bandanas are available to do so. I had tears rolling down my eyes as I walking up the stairs. It felt like a very powerful yet peaceful place.

I recently visited the local Gurudwara, and it was a truly heartwarming experience. The peaceful ambiance, the harmonious kirtan (spiritual music), and the selfless service of the volunteers left a lasting impression. The langar (community kitchen) provided a delicious and wholesome meal, symbolizing the principles of equality and community. I was welcomed with open arms, and it was a reminder of the values of humility and compassion. The Gurudwara is a place of solace and spirituality, and I look forward to my next visit.

Bangla Sahib Gurudwara is a place of serene beauty and spirituality. The interior, adorned with golden decorations and elegant chandeliers, exudes a sense of grandeur. One of the most striking features is the large pond with fishes, which adds to the tranquility of the place. The parshad, a symbol of the Gurudwara's generosity, it consisted of meetha daliya made in ghee, offering a sweet and comforting treat to visitors. The cleanliness of the premises is highly commendable, with the floors being diligently cleaned every hour. What's truly heartwarming is the tradition of providing free langar as a parshad, where all visitors can partake in a communal meal. It's a beautiful expression of the Sikh community's selfless service and welcoming spirit. A visit to Bangla Sahib Gurudwara not only offers a serene and aesthetically pleasing experience but also a profound sense of spiritual unity and hospitality.

The place is sacred and clean even though many visitors visit it. Volunteers are all over the place preparing free meals for everyone who wants it. They will ask you to cover your head first with a bandana and remove your socks and shoes before entering the temple. Tip: - Recommended to wear pants. If not, they will provide a cover for free. There is a foreign office where you can visit for the cover.

A must visit place of you are in CP. From CP it's walking distance; around 10 minutes lazy walk. Inside you can find a place to keep your shoes in safe place (no fee required). Infront of Gurudwara, if you wish you can pay 20-30-40-100 whatever amount you feel as donation and you will get Prasad which will be partially deducted before entering the inside of the Gurudwara. Have a peaceful pause, pray they seat next to water body... peace!!!!

Waheguru Ji ka khalsa. Waheguru ji ki fateh! The decorations in the photos itself speaks truth about this holy place of Sikhs eighth guru: Shri Guru Harkishan Sahib Ji. Here, there are more things to be known for sarovar, guru ka langar, baghel singh museum, kar sewa, kirtan. This may be refer to as the heaven in Delhi where one should forgot all the stresses in their life after listening to the kirtan banis The most important to get the holy water which is referred to as AMRIT and KADAH PADSHAD.

    God temple

  • 5/5 Mariana M. 3 years ago on Google
Is the temple of the Sikhism religion. There are less than 1% of the world's population who practice and chooses this religion. They believe in only one God with no specific form, not living nor dead. Their values and beliefs are: meditation & devotion to the Creator, truthful living and service to humanity. In this temple we see all these. To come inside the temple you must wear a headscarf! They were on service while we were there and the songs of the ceremony were so beautiful. After, you visit a big room (see pictures) were there are many shifts allowing people to have lunch for free here, volunteers come to cook. You can visit all the kitchen which is divided in different tasks. The best part is you find this solidarity breaking boundaries of differences in religions. Here everyone coexists as human beings.

  • 5/5 Mohit G. 2 years ago on Google
I love staying here in the odd hours at night. The best place to listen and meditate to the day's first ardaas at 4 am and have halwa as prashad. Everything is nice, clean and orderly. I wait here whenever i have an early train and some time to spend between 2 am and 6 am. The place is filled with people even in the early hours and it is safe to stay here. You can safekeep your luggage for free for a few hours and roam around the city if you like. Follow the rules and the sevadars will help you at every step. A true place for everyone. Next time, I need to have a langar. :)

Very peaceful and serene gurudwara in central Delhi. Easily accessible from Rajiv Chowk metro. It has a very holy, beautiful, and calm atmosphere. One artificial pond kind of structure inside the gurudwara area. 24 hours langar is also available there. It also has a museum within the gurudwara area.

Situated in the heart of the national capital, it is the most calming place. I visited on the eve of Diwali to light a candle and the sights of the gurdwara that day were just mesmerizing. It felt meditative by just being there. If you wish you could also visit the Sikh temple and wish to do voluntary services.

It was a worthy experience to visit gurudwara Bangla Sahib at night. The people around are full of a vibe. The peace here is unbeatable. Langar is really delicious....

  • 3/5 CHIRAG Y. 4 months ago on Google
There is no ticket system; it's completely free. Parking is also available. The Langar is completely free of cost, but you may have to wait approximately 10 minutes in line. I posted this review today, but I visited this place in May 2022, and the posted images were taken on that day.

Changes in Gurudwara.✨ Some things have changed like you have to buy Prasad for Rs 10 or Rs 50.The Prasad worth Rs 10 and Rs 20 are of the same size but the size of Rs 50 is a little bigger. You can also spend extra money for this. There is no restriction as per your faith. This is the best thing about going here. They represent their community and the environment here is very good and there is very beautiful architecture on the walls. I just love it.💗 Highly recommended for foreign tourist.✌🏻

Had a divine experience at Gurudwara Bangla Sahib. It can be reached easily by bus. As you enter the Gurudwara, you remove footwear at the stand, cover your head with a cloth that is available there, do the Darshan, visit beautiful pond behind, eat at the langar and also have tea after your meal. I would recommend to surely visit this place.

  • 5/5 Dominik P. 4 months ago on Google
Very interesting experience. They will show you around the religious complex and also the kitchen and eating area, where free meals are provided 24 hours a day (up to 50.000). You will have to cover your head (provided) and wash your hands and feet before entering the actual religious site. In the end, they asked for a donation of 500 rupees for one person.
