I had opportunity to stay here 4 days that too during independence day. Being Maharashtra government employee, got the suite at discounted price. The rooms are awesome. As good as any 3 star hotel. Service is also very nice. Even though it is a government property, hospitality is very nice. You may find difficult to reserve room due to rush but if you keep follow up, you definitely get one. Best part here is the dining. You get almost all Maharashtrian and North Indian items. Both veg and non veg. Prices are reasonable and quality is top. Even if you are not staying here, you can go inside saying you want to go to the canteen. If you are Maharashtrian then it makes it very easy to access. Also it is situated at very nice area. India gate is hardly 5-10 mins walking from there. If you visit delhi, this is a must try place. Room booking rates etc are available on website.

Coming Straight to the point why I gave only 2 stars to such a beautiful place is it's Staff! I went to canteen with my family for lunch and the staff member's there were not polite and some were even rude, we were being treated as if we are eating there without paying and even the menu card was literally slammed on the table; when asked for spoons and other stuff they are giving it after so much calling and an irritated manner. I have been there around 5 times..out of which I would say 3 visits the behaviour of staff was very bad. But here I want to quote that not all the staff is bad, some really good staff is also there but I would say still a large % of staff is bad.If the behaviour and management of staff can be improved than this place can become much better in the future. I can even quote the name of a waiter in the canteen who was really rude in his behaviour, but I would not do so, as it is a public comment and I don't mean to bring down anyone. Other than the staff the place is good to visit, but I would still not recommend due to the staff I would rate- staff-1/5 food-4/5 ambience-4/5 location-4/5

This is serene and peaceful place if you are specifically coming for UPSC interview from Maharashtra. Apply through email and they will book the 2 beds sharing room with minimal charge. The area is great with canteen facility which offers Maharashtrian food.

The place looks good. Everything around gives a feeling of mini Maharashtra. The worst thing about it is the food. My friends and I went there for lunch but it turned out to be the worst experience. The food wasn't at all worth a penny. Before leaving, I even told the cashier and the waiters to work on the food. I hope they would have taken it seriously. Personally, I won't recommend you if you're planning for lunch there. Thank you!

The food served in Maharashtra Sadan canteen was freshly prepared, good in taste and the best part , reasonably priced. We wanted to try some maharashtrian snacks for breakfast , but they also serve some authentic Maharashtrian dishes in lunch and dinner as well. Overall our experience was satisfactory.

Nice place for veg breakfast. Servings are of good proportions. One serving is good for two. Service is good. The servers will ask you how the food is and take feedback positively. Our sambar was cold and the server was kind enough to insist that he will replace or with a hot one.

It's the worst bhavans to have a meal. The Staff is arrogant and rude to the core. The food is pathetic. The moment you enter the restaurant you feel unwellcome. It's a mood spoiler place. I am not visiting the restaurant ever. If you wish to be treated like an unwellcome guest with poorly cooked food then visit. Otherwise this place should be a miss.

We went for dinner. A Very good and pleasant resturant. The waiter is very good. We have two guests from Japan he suggested the foods for them and they enjoyed the foods a lot. Both vegetarian and non-vegetarian foods are available. The staters are excellent both chicken and fish are excellent. But the main course may need little improvement. To get a table you should go little early.

The structure of New Maharashtra Sadan is very beautiful and well maintained. The decoration and interiors are very clean with a lot of Greenery on campus. Public dining is also very good and has a good number of options, price is minimal and taste is decent. Service is good. One should try this place.

A thoudand steps from India Gate, Maharashtra Bhavan resembles a palace.. Of course it was a palace decades before. Standing tall and wide in a silent place and guarded by forces of state, Maharashtra Bhavan is open to public too, especially its canteen. During lunch, there might be a short waiting period, but the lobby is big enough to take a few strides with widely opened eyes. The service staff is very very polite and helpful, the tables are really neat, feels like a dining in any five star restaurant. You have to try the Maharashtrian Delicacies, Kolahpuri chicken to start with and to end with a kokum shorbat. The dishes are fairly priced and a chicken biryani at 200 INR and Saoji Mutton at 300 INR. The place is a must visit for a foodie and luxury lovers ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Jai Maharashtra

This place is great to taste Maharashtrian cuisine in canteen, just be aware of the timings, till 7pm you will only get snacks and post that dinner, before snacks it'lunch. The prices are reasonable, The usual cost per person is 150 rupees. Also please carry at least one govt ID to show at the gate and there is ample parking space available for 2 wheeler as well four wheelers.

This five-star restaurant is a culinary masterpiece!The impeccable serviceThe next time I visited, it was an unwelcoming and discriminatory behaviour I had to face from the security personnel and the staff. I was made to go all around the building to the back entrance and get my details noted down there. Then I was let in through the staff entrance where they only note your details but there was no security check (frisking, bag scans, metal detectors) at all. All this only because I didn't have a Govt. of Maharashtra ID. So for visiting the canteen that's a few steps from the main entrance, I was made to go all around the building and made to go from a different entrance. This makes me question the security protocols in place. If they are letting every person who doesn't have a Govt. of Maharashtra ID through the no security gate, this place isn't safe at all. While the food at the canteen is great and very authentic, it's quite disappointing to be treated like this. And when I asked the security about why they were doing this, they said "Yaha aise hi hota hai" (Translation: "This is how it is here")

Superb place to stay and dine in. Very well maintained and clean and comfortable in all respects. The location is very grand as it at walking distance from India Gate. Building is having historical looks and greenery is well maintained. The food served here is of great taste and quite well in quality both veg and non veg.

The New Maharashtra Sadan has been beautifully built and is eye pleasing. Statues of famous personalities from Maharashtra are also well sculpted. The place is clean, has a canteen and staying facilities too.

I visited here on 17th july. I met my Nanaji who is the Governor of Maharashtra and stayed here only when he visited delhi..... Really very beautiful and elegant in looking. Staff is extremely helpful. Very nice both in infrastructure and by heart. They have a humble Tone of speaking.

Absolutely stunning! Not a lot of people go there because not a lot of them know! But it is just so beautiful, peaceful, classy, full 5 star feels and the canteen is just too cheap (in a good way) two people can eat for 136 rupees. It is just insane and everyone should go and experience at least once. I bet you will repeat!
