I went to Tribes India yesterday and did a good shopping. Purchased many things and liked the 40% off deal. Happy to support Tribal art of India But disappointed now at home seeing that u have marked everything over the actual price and then selling at 40% off- which actually turns out to be old marked price after discount. Dont befool the customers to sell Tribal works. I am shocked and disheartened. Pics attached for the “Kalaakaari” done by Tribes India

The area is prme location in cannaut place new delhi. Metro station Rajiv chawk is near by. Palika Bazar is unde ground market is located here in the centre. Now khadi bhavan has created selfi point on maznin floor on plalika Bazar wherein that have made replica of big Charkha of steel at selfi point. Yesterday on 28 Oct 22 food festival Sara's has started by GOI wherein you get all food varieties from deferential part of india. The quality taste is too good and authentic . The rates are also moderate. The Sara's food festival exhibition is located in Rajiv teibe handicraft bhavan, opposite to Hanuman mandir also near to Shivaji Stadium metro station and open from 1000 hrs to 2200 hrs til 10 Nov 22. Food lovers must visit.

This building is situated in Palika Kendra. Rajiv Gandhi Handicrafts Bhawan is a state emporium with different states of India coming together in one place to sell their local handicrafts and goods. You'll find a range of products here including but not limited to Madhubani paintings, Pashmina shawls, wood carvings, Kutch embroidered work and exotic Darjeeling tea.

    • Tribes India (by the Government of India) is must visit store if you want to buy indigenous handicrafts and handloom woven/made by people who inherit and conserve their tribal traditions and crafts. According to the government, this facilitates business and income for the tribal communities and artists. • I have been buying clothes, jewelry, bags and home decor items regularly from their stores. The quality is great. It's the only store apart from Fab India that one can buy without worrying about quality and value for money. However, it is cheaper for same (certified) quality and hence, is now the only store I buy crafts from, especially sarees and Indian clothes. • I visited this one recently and liked the warm little store. However, it's a small store that you must visit only if you are in this area and have little time for quick shopping and souvenirs. You will definitely end up buying something. • If you have more time, visit Tribes India showroom at 9 Mahadev Road or for a wholesome shopping experience, visit their store at Dilli Haat (stall number 2). • Tribes India has a well maintained website, too, that you can shop from.

Would give 5* for the range, quality and opening avenues for tribal artisans. But the margins made, I don't believe reaches the pocket of the artisans as it is at times higher than you buy from stalls of Kamala or direct ones in Dilli Haat. Second presentation and the way products are organized. I think, it is assumed as granted that, it is from TRIFED, so people will buy from them as products will be authentic. That's correct but showcasing and ensuring competitive price ensuring Artisans earn well.
