Recently my husband was admitted to this hospital for medical management of diarrhea, being a cancer survivor. No issues with doctors and nurses. They are very sincere and listen to your problems patiently. But management, kitchen service and dietician are deplorable. On the day of admission, even after allotment of room, we had to wait for 1 hour as attendant of the previous patient had not vacated The room. The room was not cleaned. They got it cleaned while we waited outside. Next day, they didn't gave the break fast. On inquiring, their answer was that there are so many patients so he is missed. Wonder don't they screen as which room has not been served the meal. My husband's medicine was delayed because of it. Only after shouting on them, Breakfast was given. No apologies from the kitchen. To the dietician, specifically I had told that he has stoma bag, so whole dals cannot be given to him. But during lunch, whole masoor dal was given. I felt that they take things very casually with no concern for the patient. There is Chalta hai attitude. I complaint to the patient experience dept but till now no feedback has been given. Sharing some of the pictures of single room which again is in a shabby condition.

Fortis Shalimar is having around 250 beds comprising economy, double sharing, single room, delux room and suites. Hospital location and parking inside is a bit of problem. But the main reason of a hospital is treatment and that's very good. Doctors, nurses and ward staff are very nice and caring. There's Cafe Coffee Day and canteen inside. Pharmacy is 24 hours open. There's decoration arrangements for families having new born babies. There's problem with Xray section. Patients need to wait for 1 hour for getting it done.

A 3rd grade hospital. Wouldn't recommend it to anyone. - Loud: Nurses are so loud and you could hear them all the time. - Corrupt: We had surgery this morning and it's almost midnight and our neighbours have 3 visitors in intensive care..loud, unconcerned, eating, chatting...The security is probably bribed...sick ! - Stealing/Medicine Scam: The nurses will steal the medicines. Make sure to take a photo of the medicines that you return because they'll refund very little. If you are not tough, they'll take you for granted. Luckily I spoke to the international coordinator and he used his influence for the refund, lol. - Old broken Equipment: The drip/IV regulator (see photo) was broken so the alarm kept going off after every few minutes. So hard to sleep. The beds looks so bad... - Bureaucratically slow: 5 hours waiting within surgery space. 5 hours to do billing !! Seriously, how slow could you be. And then, you hostage someone and wouldn't take off this drip/IV until the clearance?? The patient is going through the pain and should continue to suffer just because your nursing/billing team is so so slow?? - Non transparent billing/Insurance Scam.. - Will NOT return to this shitthole !! ๐Ÿคฎ _________ Updates (Feb 12, 2022) Thanks for your response and I've sent the email last night itself. ___________ Updates (Feb 18, 2022) Almost a week and no response via email or anything. They don't do jack !! Worst people and quality ever.. __________ Updates (Feb 19, 2022) Got a call today and I was told that 'They are investigating and will bring it forward to top-management. I'm curious...if the top management doesn't know about this scam??..and I look forward to hear what the findings are here so please do share !! thankyou.

I will advise everyone, please please do not admit your family and friends in this hospital. They see your patient as money making machine and a mockery is made in the name of treatment. It has happened earlier and the same philosophy continues. This hospital is near my place and so, at times we are left with no option but to rush your dear ones here. Refer here only for OPD and please take a second advise before proceeding

I was coming here for last five years even one of my family member had operation here and we were very happy but everything changed here. Vikas Maurya Doctor think him is god just argue with patient instead of treatment her assistant is even more rude when ask to customer executive they just stand with their doctors nothing for patient. Understand your hospital running because of patient not because of your unprofessional doctor.

This hospital is not for treating patients but a profit making company They only took money. my mom was admitted on it at least for a month. Nurse is thief. They take medicine from patient ward. I caught one of them at 2 am. They take 12 lacs from us. Today my mom is no more with us. when I take LAMA to take my mom to another hospital they told me 900 rupees for two piece dress at 2 am without give 900 u can't go we already paid 12 lacs how greedy they are. ICU staff and nursing staff is worst . They come for patient review but did not take any action.

Good and very clean hospital, awesome infrastructure, nursing staff is very good but some doctors are arogant. Sometimes they are very confident and do not want to listen what the patient want to say. This should not be in practice.

Since day 1 for primary consultation with oncology department till today when one of my family member is getting treatment here, we so far have very satisfactory experience especially with doctors and peramedic staff. Bit expensive as we all know, sometimes the security staff being excessively rude and impatient, that needs to be taken care. Cashless facilities, quick response to central government & defence personnel staff under panel health coverage is worth appreciating. Must allow outside food to the family members of patients or Start a reasonable price canteen/mess in the hospital premises to felicitate the visitors on priority.

I had called the hospital to enquire about a test. They kept me on hold every single time for the 10 -15 times I had called. I was connected to the grievance centre, they too had no idea about what to do and how to handle a grievance!!!! Astonishing! Billing center , never even picked the call, not even once. I wonder how the hospital is running. Horrible, Pathetic , Hopeless. May God Protect us !!

I searched for an appropriate word that could define Dr Nymphea Walecha and came across many like- Saviour, Counsellor, Motivator, hope giver, and many more. But nothing satisfied me completely. For someone like me who craved for a child for 10 long years and went through multiple IUI and IVF failures Dr Nymphea came like a RAY OF HOPE. She was the one who lit the lamp of courage(to go through the IVF process again) and enthusiasm( to be a mother) in my dull and damp life. Like any other patient, I was initially a bit reluctant but the day I met with her my perception towards doctors changed completely. Before her, I got treated by many other renowned doctors but didnโ€™t get any positive result and I donโ€™t blame any one of them either because everything happens at the right time. I still remember the day when I got my 4th IVF failed and there were people who suggested me to consult another doctor. But somewhere my soul and heart was not ready for that because I have seen Dr Nymphea putting her every bit while treating a patient. I then decided to go for IVF treatment the 5th time and fortunately I conceived. And more than everything I think itโ€™s the Trust and Faith that works the most. I never questioned her about anything, neither was worried because I knew she would not leave any stone unturned. We humans, at times, become so selfish that we only focus on the result and forget the hard work of doctors. We never appreciate them for being so attentive, humble and supportive, rather we start blaming and questioning their morality. But as they say NOT ALL FINGERS ARE SAME, similarly not all doctors work for money and Dr Nymphea Walecha is undoubtedly one of them. Some people genuinely brighten up the room with their presence and she is definitely ONE OF THEM. With her perpetual efforts I delivered a Baby Girl and my long cherished dream of becoming a mother got fulfilled. If Dr Nymphea would have not been there that day I would have never got this blessing in my life in form of my daughter. The word that defines her role in my life the best is - โ€œGOD ON EARTHโ€. No matter whatever I do for her, I would never be able to return even .01% of what she has done for me . I and my whole family will always be indebted to her. She is a HERO and I highly recommend her to everyone who so ever wants to be mother. Thanks a lot maโ€™am ..

I wanted to take a moment to express my deepest gratitude for the successful IVF treatment that Dr Nymphea provided me. Words cannot adequately convey the joy and gratitude I feel for this life-changing outcome. From the very beginning, her expertise, professionalism, and compassion shone brightly, making this challenging journey significantly more manageable. Dr Nympheaโ€™s dedication to understanding my individual needs, answering all my questions, and addressing any concerns along the way gave me a sense of comfort and confidence and after six year of marriage we have been blessed with baby girl. so I wanted to share one of these photograph from my maternity shoot with her as a small token of appreciation. This picture symbolizes the immense joy and fulfillment that I feel, knowing that this day, this pregnancy, and this beautiful moment were made possible because of Dr Nymphea. Thanku

A very pathetic customer ecperience.. They don't bother about patient's problem... You have to follow with them for 7-8 hrs to get the single like steamer or other basic things. The best part is if you want to have some enquiry they will reply you in a relcutant manner and when you ask that complaint will be raised to higher authorities.. They have audacity to say "JISSE KARNA HAI KAR DO" One gentleman, Mr govind was so implusive in respinding to me when I had some query related to billing that I was shocked with the response.. Seriously If you guys find some alternative for treatment kindly explore those..

Avoid until this is the last choice. Rude staff. Doctors don't visit their patients regularly. Always check their bills, they tend to overcharge you. Also of you browse through carefully, you will see many fake positive reviews just to inflate the ratings

Fraud hospital, pathetic staff. Doctors have targets and will make sure you go for all tests whether needed or not. Nursing staff doesn't visit the patients but fill in their temperature, blood pressure etc themselves. I was admitted, sent for testings, fraud readings were noted by nursing staff, discharged without diagnosis. When I had a headache, staff couldn't provide a medicine or pain balm. Attendant had to go out of hospital to buy it.

A well equipped hospital, as most corporate hospitals are, but with very little attention to patient comfort or safety (speaking purely from an OPD point of view). Covid protocols are lax, seating arrangements for OPD patients and attendants are inadequate, F&B outlets are expensive and the counselling rooms are a joke! Pity that one has to go through an experience like this to access the doctors.

Special thanks to Dr. Punit Kumar Jain and his team. 2021 started with bad news of my mother having fracture hip. She was operated at other hospital for the same. But after that surgery she was bedridden and her rheumatoid disease led to deformity of knees. She was not able to do her toileting or self care.we were tense with that. With recommendation from our office colleagues, we met Dr Punit in Fortis hospital Shalimar Bagh. He gave patient hearing to all the problems and after detailed investigations . Dr Punit planned a line of management. RA disease was controlled and her both knees were replaced by Dr Punit K Jain. He gave special personalised attention to the post surgery care. It's been 3 months to the surgery. My mother is independent and able to take care of her needs. So the year 2022 brings happiness to my mother and the family. We thank Dr Punit kumar Jain and his team for their efforts. Dr Punit Kumar Jain is Jolly by nature and always ready to help.

Fortis hospital Shalimar Bagh - is an amalgamation of best doctors, nurses, support staff, hospitality and technological advanced treatments. Itโ€™s a very clean, hygiene efficient, quick service, and one point of services for all treatments and tests inclusive. The investment made into large labs for machinery, scans etc is commendable and spread over a very large area. Very easily accessible through own vehicle, public transport and walkable distance from metro station. I would recommend this to all those in need of quick and long term treatments, do visit this hospital. Thanks

We are very disappointed with the hospital's ICU services. My father was admitted in CCU with a chest infection and respiratory distress, initially which ended up being a multi organ failure by day 12 and sadly we lost him . The CCU staff was very nice, especially the nurses were very attentive , the doctors were very supportive and efficient as well . My father was moved to Surgical ICU later where his health deteriorated further. In all 8 days , we saw a different nurse in each shift, there was no chance of a patient feeling comfortable when they are alone with family only allowed to visit 30 min in 24 hours. Family does not know how their patient is being managed inside as they are dependent on the ICU staff. Patients in ICU are in a very weak and vulnerable state already and being hooked on to multiple monitoring lines and drains. Nurses are too busy making notes of medicine ,etc , not even looking up from papers, just busy dispensing medicine, not even addressing or looking at the patient. It's just a task without feelings (contrary to the nursing care and respect for patients I had always known) With a new patient every shift , I guess it's hard for them to build a rapport with the patient too. Patients may lie wet or unmoved for hours, even if a patient needs to be moved two hourly to prevent bedsores. There is no compassion. Maybe the nurses are overworked here or young interns with little experience or language restraints? MEDICINE IS NOT THE ONLY THING THAT HELPS A PATIENT TO RECOVER, IT'S THE PSYCHOLOGICAL SUPPORT AS WELL AND A FRIENDLY AND CARING ENVIRONMENT THAT IS IMPORTANT. Since our patient's life is in your hands , we trust you to do your best to help them but that clearly is not what's in the protocols of your hospital. Lots of other people shared their similar stories with us and its sad that they have all had similar experiences.

The best "HOSPITAL". We saw the services of fortis escorts amritsar where were admitted for 4 days and I can truly tell you that Fortis Shalimar Bagh is the best hospital. This defines the name of a hospital. They work round the clock to serve the patients and try to solve the problems at the earliest rather than dragging for money. We were under Dr. Mohit (Oncology Unit Head) and he helped us in all the possible ways and gave us the quick treatment. They even helped us in the admission, process of obtaining permission from ECHS, discharge and treatment procedures. I highly recommend Fortis Shalimar Bagh for any treatment available there.

A horrid experience, where the management does not care about the patient or the attendant. Itโ€™s does not comply with cleanliness norms. Construction can be carried for 25x 7 and itโ€™s fair to drill through 2am. When questioned they have now that you are complaining we will be kind enough to stop it. But why start at 2am. It still continues. And I am not complaining now. But 2am ? When you do not allow honking how do you allow this.

Choosing Fortis Hospital, Shalimar Bagh, New Delhi for the delivery of our baby has been a fantastic decision. From the initial visit, we had a positive experience and received excellent feedback about the facility and doctors. Dr. Nymphea, our primary doctor, instilled confidence in us from the first consultation. Throughout the challenging 9 months, the support from Dr. Nymphea and her team was invaluable. Despite the ups and downs, we always felt comfortable and well taken care of. The overall experience at Fortis Hospital, Shalimar Bagh, New Delhi was outstanding. The staff, from housekeeping to nursing, was kind and helpful. The doctors, especially from Fetal Medicine, provided excellent advice and handled situations with expertise. I recovered from my caesarean real fast with her guidance. Within 10 -12 days after caesarean to get back to my normal routine. Dr. Nympheaโ€™s positive attitude and constant support made the pregnancy journey much smoother. We are grateful for the care, attention, and treatment received, making the decision to deliver at Fortis Hospital a truly satisfying one. - Mrs. Mansi Aggarwal

No Covid-19 protocols followed, raised my concern with staff roaming around without any purpose but they were clueless. Very poor management, every staff member was keen in pushing the company profitability upwards, and that is the only rule which applies. One proof of gross mismanagement and misconduct, the display screen at the billing counter was still showing the occupancy status of 28 January, please see the attached pictures. This proves that entire so called hospital is after money and nothing else.

Myself Inder ( Inderbir Kaur Vatsa) was admitted in your Fortis Hospital, Shalimar Bagh, Covid Ward room no 404 bed no 3 on 8th and was relieved on 15th dec 2020 at 8 pm after spending a week. I want to appreciate all the membars of covid team to handle such a challenging situation with limmitted availability of resources and their hands tight. All the operations of Covid ward are being handled in professional manner. 1. Doctors used to visit frequently, Explain to the patient status and further plan of treatment based on the test report and progress, listening to patients query and answerring patientiely. They were taking good care of frustrated (due to covid) patients with smile. Some times we were not able to differentiate even between Doctor, Sisters and support staff due to PPT kit, In initial days due to totaly being down with covid and not able to fully open even eyes, and not knowing and thinking it is nursing staff which has come on my call to change drip, I signed Doctors , I don' remember exactly who, (Dr Meghna, Dr Seema, Dr Rahul Jain, Dr Yadav or Dr Vikas Maurya) that drip is over and it is to be changed . Instead of getting annoyed, with a smile they switched of the drip and told me they will send nurse. It happened 2-3 times. Such was their level of callmness. 2. Doctors used to call and give daily update to patient's relative. 3. Even my Dr Arpita Chatterjee called on phone to update me my status and further line of treatment plan and answer my queries. 4. Dietician was taking proper care of our diet, daily communicating, making changes in diet plan as per our conditions and explaining us about the diet why this type of diet is given to us . She was asking about our choices and any item we don't take and taking our feedback. 5. Services department was always available on call and was daily taking feedback and trying to do what ever possible. 6. Specially Nursing, Service staff DDA, DD were working on their toes, doing their best within limited resources and had to face irre and scoldings of irritated patients due to covid . The patients who were unaware of their status and expecting immediate relief instead of knowing the recovery process and its long time were throwing their anger on this unrelated staff. Some patients with small related problems like constipation, stomach ache or back ache instead of waiting for medicine to work wanted immediate relief, were disturbing nursing staff a lot. I feel in case patients could be made more aware of the different departments withing covid ward and with whom which issues have to be taken up, it would increase the efficiency more. 7. I appreciate full Covid Team for working sincearly day and night and facing this big challenge. Please keep it in your hospital record and circulate in the Covid ward staff to keep their moral high. Worst hospital and worst doctors team. You should be ashamed to be called as doctors. Fortis only care about money and they almost killed by patient. People came to get treated not to die. Have some humanity some dignity Feel like abusing and slapping doctors and Fortis team. Doctors should not take fake vows. You should shut down this hospital. In brain hemorrhage they are giving medicine for blood thining. Be ashamed of yourself.

My son was admitted for a thyroidectomy to Fortis Shalimar Bagh in December , which was a terrible experience as follows: 1. I had a single room whose amenities were terrible including everything from housekeeping, lack of water being filled bedside, towels , tissues no availability of any heating in the peak of winter in Delhi. Win this cold weather I had to get my own personal heater from home to heat up the room!! 2. Nursing care was terrible even in the ICU where my son was admitted after his surgery, the nurses and doctors failed to pick up that he was in urinary retention. 3. System of not using patients own medications for inpatient use is terrible. My son had to wait 3 hours for his usual medications to be administered to him because they were unable to procure the medications and refused to use our own medications which we were carrying 4. nursing staff is truly incompetent and inefficient. The nurses would take hours for any medication administration and delayed the discharge papers by more than two hours. Avoid this hospital if you can till administration makes some serious changes .

Doctors that do not visit an ICU patient, ICU PATIENT not given food on time when I got my mother shifted to a room the food she wasn't even given water until 6 pm. she is a heart patient and this is how Fortis treats them. I am not the only one everywhere I turn around I see everyone complaining. numerous compliance made to MOD and patient experience no response.... DO NOT COME HERE

The hospital has all the medical test you require they even give the advantage to get insurance done through cashless payment. The hospital is little bit expensive but gives you all the services you require. Good and supportive staff helps you with all paper work and insured that your period at hospital remains convenient.

Thanks

Fortis Shalimar has pathetic staff, patient services and guard services. I understand people have to do their jobs but the staff here has an attitude like no other. Services at Manipal, Venkatesh much better. Brand name isnโ€™t enough.

Our experience with Dr. Nymphea has been so good that we have been recommending her everywhere we go. From our first visit to delivery, she has been a pure bliss to us. She helped us throughout the pregnancy and was always available when we had doubts. She gave us confidence throughout the delivery time and did a vaginal birth of our little baby boy. Blessed to have her by our side during this time.

This is specific to TPA services around insurance. We asked for cashless approval for day care chemotherapy .. chemo started and finished in 2 hrs but they didn't event submitted the file with TPA. Worst part is hospital will not remove the cannula till you pay the final bill. Understand the pain of patients and improve the efficiency. Its not fault of employees, they are usually overburdened.

The worst ever hospital experience. There were no doctors in the emergency ward. Without any consultation with doctor, the interns recommended for ICU. They have kept my patient for hours in the emergency ward with no observation. Fortunately, we understood their profit making scheme and took our patient to another hospital, heโ€™s getting better without being admitted in ICU. Even in emergency donโ€™t visit this hospital.

My father was in The ICU and the Doctor looking after him decided his vacation is more important than looking after and providing care to the COVID patients and leaving instructions to keep the patient stable . I lost my father a strong man who came to your hospital telling family members he will be back in two days . Maybe your providers need to remember the oath they took when they became Doctors. And most important they need to learn to respect and have bed side manners to talk to family who is depending on there expertise to save their family member . Everything is in gods will and the frontlines are doing their best but in this case I Have unanswered questions and I wonder if he was well taken care of or something was missing . This is for Dr. Harjit Mahay who runs a butcher shop at Fortis who refuses to talk to me when I called . I met Dr . Rahul Jain also one of the doctors seeing my father , I met him at his clinic And asked him What went wrong and was told itโ€™s COVID and no one gets okay all die and that is happening in the US also . Mind you he didnโ€™t look straight at me and took his mask out and he was chewing tobacco and seeing patients. And when My father was admitted it was Sunday so no Doctor saw him till the following day . And because family canโ€™t see Covid patients they did what they pleased, they wanted to put my brother on oxygen and he refused because he didnโ€™t feel the need and they came to tell him that in the middle Of the night and made him sign he refused treatment . My father got put on it as they were told if we donโ€™t he would love for a few days , he went fine to the hospital they basically killed him . Please these doctors are not God donโ€™t treat them as that ask questions .

I was on dialysis in Fortis Hospital, Shalimar Bagh since past three years then I have registered myself under the cadever donor waiting list under (NOTO). Then I got cadever donor kidney allocated through NOTO to Fortis Hospital, Shalimar Bagh. I got transplanted under the supervision of Dr. Deepak Kalra and Dr. Rajeev Sood and team, it was a successful transplant. Before the transplant, my urine output was almost 50 to 100 ml and now it has came back to normal ranges and now creatinine level is also coming down day by day. First of all, we (me and my wife) wants to thank Ms. Jasmeet Kaur Anand (TC), Dr. Deepak Kalra, Dr. Rajeev Sood and team, KTP unit nurses Aleena, Arun, and others, ward area nurses staff, and Gulab and Sonu (GDA) for taking the best care of me in my difficult times.

โ€ข Cleanliness and hygiene is a thing of priority here. So, you'll find the premise clean and tidy. โ€ข They take patients seriously. The emergency service is good. โ€ข The nursing staff is really helpful. โ€ข Other staff (Gate keepers, parking guys) are not so polite. Some of them are arrogant and instead of requesting for something, they would order things. โ€ข There are food eateries also inside including Cafe Coffee Day, an ice cream parlour and a dining place. โ€ข They don't permit more than one visitor with the patient because of CoVID - 19, so if you are more than that, and might be staying for a day or two, I'd recommend you to carry a few sheets and a pillow. โ€ข It's a little on the expensive side, but you won't regret spending here because the doctors are really good. I've also heard that some doctors here are rude and arrogant too. I'm not sure about that, since we didn't encounter any such doctor. โ€ข Limit for depositing cash is only 200,000 (might have changed now). Any amount above that, has to be deposited through electronic means. โ€ข Valet parking is at โ‚น80/8hrs and self parking is at โ‚น40/8hrs. โ€ข There are several tea stalls and food stalls/mess/outlets outside the hospital too. So, that's convenient.

My father in law was admitted in Fortis Shalimar Bagh. I found that doctors were very good and knowledgeable. There were some minor issues in communication and we needed to do a bit of follow ups. The co-ordination between various departments and doctors was also sluggish at times. Attendant has to be very vigilant and do regular followups. Another good point was that staff and doctors in general were very co-operative and non-reactive to complaints. They listened and tried to do their best to resolve them. Bhateri Devi sister was one of the best amongst all. Very hard working, skilled and present minded. We often relied on her to get things done right when some of the other nurses did not know how to properly fit a cannula in the hand. It was not the best experience of all, but we were at least satisfied that doctors did the operation well.

Had a wonderful experience over here at the hospital. We have received our bundle of joy here on 26th 2023. The entire staff was very cooperative & managed our requirements very well. We did not face any problems during anytime of the process or even post the delivery. The relentless care was provided to the baby during our journey. A special mention to Ms. Sharun, Bharti, Rashi, Chinju, Aishwarya, Shweta, Sneha, Seba & Megha :) We really want to thank you for the services provided by you & the team.

I just had the opportunity of speaking with Ms. Monika from the Fortis Hospital, Shalimar Bagh Patient Experience Department, and I have to say that I had an absolutely amazing experience. I felt immediately at ease as soon as I walked up to Ms. Monika because of her kind and friendly attitude. Throughout our conversations, she consistently shown her professionalism and commitment to giving patients the best care possible. Ms. Monika went above and above to make sure that during my time at Fortis Hospital, I was educated and at ease. Ms. Monika stands out for her outstanding interpersonal abilities and her care for the patients' welfare. She made sure I understood all of the steps and procedures involved in my healthcare journey, listened intently to my worries, and patiently answered all of my questions. Furthermore, Ms. Monika showed an incredible degree of compassion and sensitivity, which made me feel like a valued human with special needs rather than just a patient. Her dedication to improving the entire patient experience and her proactive attitude to resolving possible problems really stood out. In a nutshell I would want to say how appreciative I am of Ms. Monika from the patient experience department at Fortis Hospital, Shalimar Bagh, for her outstanding support and attention. Her commitment to making sure patients have a good experience benefits the hospital as a whole. I heartily urge anyone looking for exceptional patient care services to contact Ms. Monika. I am grateful to Ms. Monika for providing me with both medical and emotional comfort during my stay at Fortis Hospital. Your hard work has paid off, and I sincerely appreciate all that you did for me.
