The icon of the U.S. 🗽🇺🇸. This is a must-see for everyone who visits New York City, you would never want to miss it. There’s only one cruise line that is allowed to enter the Liberty Island and Ellis Island, which is Statue Cruises. You can purchase tickets at the Battery Park but I’d recommend you purchase it in advance. For $23/adult it’s actually very reasonably priced. Make sure you go early because you will have to go through security at the port. Also take a look at the departure schedule available on the website to plan your trip accordingly. As for the Statue of Liberty, it was my first time seeing it in person so what I could say was a wow. It was absolutely amazing to see this monument. I also purchased the pedestal access so it was pretty cool to see the inside of the statue. They’re not doing the Crown Access due to Covid-19 concerns, but I hope it will be resumed soon. There are a gift shop, a cafeteria and a museum on the island. I would say it takes around 2-3 hours to do everything here because you would want to take as many photos as possible. I absolutely loved it here and I can’t wait to come back.

$23 for ticket,I would say I have a good time in here,a lot of people traveling statue of liberty. When you finish Wall Street, you just go down street, buy the tickets in the near park. Don’t go yellow one, someone told me yellow more expensive. When you buy tickets go to line, maybe need waiting half hour. I also put schedule in here. You can check. Mark your plan.have a good day! Enjoy your time and life. Thank you 😊

Great park/statue and decent prices to visit everything! It's an iconic statue and a something everyone must see in their lifetime! Great pictures, beautiful views, interesting history. A ticket is not too expensive, and includes the ferry ride round-trip, access to the statue up to the pedestal, and the museums. You can also opt to go to the top of the crown of the statue! And it's only a few dollars extra (about $26 total per person to visit the statue and go to the top). I think it's a neat experience to go up there, but be aware - it's very tight in the narrow staircase, lots of stairs, and the crown at the top is a tiny room and has a few small windows to see out of. We were a bit underwhelmed by the crown experience, BUT it is a once in a lifetime thing, and I'd recommend it if you don't mind being in tight spaces. Lastly, make sure to book the crown tickets well in advance - months in advance!! They sell out!!

Amazing statue with a rich history. One must see it in person to really appreciate it. The price for admission is relatively cheap, so it's not a price issue but a scheduling issue to visit. I highly recommend booking tickets in advance, especially if you're trying to go up to the crown. Depending on the size of your party, ticket availability can be weeks or months out. Also, as of the date of this post, they are no longer doing tours up to the torch only as far up to the crown.

Iconic statue to see if you are in NYC, at least good to see once. My local connection here said that locals hardly ever go to see the statue because it's 99% tourists that are wanting to see it, which is understandable. The ferry ride is super fun and gives you great glimpses from all different sides. You'll definitely be able to see the torch and Lady Liberty up close. We booked a tour that allowed us to walk up in the statue and see the NYC skyline from her crown. If you are able to do that, it's a super cool experience. However, make sure you are not claustrophobic - it gets extremely tight up there and there are very tiny, spiraling stairs. It can get very tight if you're walking up to the very top. I would highly recommend taking the ferry tour. However, if you're not dying to see it - if you want to just see it from a distance - it takes a lot of time to ride the ferry. Otherwise, still very cool to see if you're in NYC.

Wow, that's simply all I can say about my visit to the State of Liberty. You see pictures, you see it from a distance, but to actually be right below. It was amazing. Take time to reflect on all of the immigrants that passed through that area on their way to enter The United States. Take time to reflect on what the Statue of Liberty means. I would highly recommend visiting the island that the statue is on versus doing a boat tour around it.

I would definitely recommend seeing the Statue of Liberty. It is such an important symbol for the freedom that the United States is America represents to the rest of the world. I would also recommend getting tickets to go to into the crown (it only costs a few dollars more than the basic ticket). You do need to be able to ascend some steps in a tight spiral staircase.

What can I say about this experience, go, definitely go. I bought my ticket online, got a pedestal ticket. You can get a ticket to go up to the crown, but they sell out months in advance so you might not be able to get one. Be ready for a lot of security screenings, so take as little as you can with you. Long line with lots of people, I had my online ticket on my phone and had to wait a while for it to be screened. After that, you go through security and make another line to he ferry. Expect lots of people in December. And bring a good jacket because it gets cold in Liberty 🗽 Island, the ferry and the Statue itself. If you go via Subway, when you exit it, walk towards the water and to the right, you will see a big white tent and a line, that's where you are supposed to go! They sell food in the ferry and island, in case you skipped breakfast or lunch. There's also a bathroom in the ferry, a clean one too! Enjoy!

A Historical landmark and staple of New York. Definitely recommend getting tickets in advance. If your looking for tickets for the Crown your gonna want to put off your trip little after January. I tried getting tickets for it but booked through January. The pedestal was worth the ticket price. Stunning view of New York and the surrounding islands. Id say go the stairs route its not to bad time. Walking the island itself was pretty great and not too busy. I got in on the 9am boat and Id say maybe stick to getting in early. Less crowded and easier time for photos. Ferry ride over was good and quick. The top gets full but you'll still get good views.

This was amazing to see a beautiful gift given to America by the French. The boat tour to the island to see the statue was smooth sailing and we had amazing views of the statue on the Hudson River. You need book tickets prior to going inside the crown of the Statue of Liberty and I unfortunately did not do that. The migrant museum was also incredible and I did not know New York used to be called New Amsterdam and the highest number of European migrants to the USA are actually not British but the Germans. German was going to be the official language of the United States of America but it lost by one single vote and even today the USA has no official language.

Clearly a must do when coming to New York city. We grabbed tickets pretty last minute and were able to get on the ferry and get over to the island and walk around. Pretty incredible experience. Unfortunately because of how late in the day we went over we weren't able to visit Staten Island but we will be back. Great views of boats entering and exiting the harbor and great view of the city.

The boat ride from Manhattan goes around the statue so that you get a complete view of liberty from the front. The loading and unloading of the boat takes some time but it is worth it. We paid to go into the pedestal and 199 stairs to the top was worth it. They have a full security checkup before you get on the boat and also before you go into the pedestal. The crown was shut on our visit. Highly recommended the visit. Included is Ellis Island but in order to see that as well, it is better to go earlier in the day as after 2 pm you won't have time to see all of it.

This was a great experience when visiting NYC! Booked through NYC cruises and took the ferry over and spent time walking around the island, and we bought tickets to walk up to the crown. That was an awesome experience! There is an elevator to the feet of the statues but you have to climb all stairs to get to the crown. It’s small and tightly crowded. I loved being able to see the infrastructure of the inside of the statue. The island has a fantastic gift shop and lots of great items!

we took the ferry to see the statue and booked a week in advance. before actually getting on the ship, you will have to show your tickets, pass security and wait in line for the next ferry. that whole process took half an hour on a weekday morning, but it was all well organized with plenty of staff on site. every single ship was packed, but if you're not at the very end of the queue, you will still get a good spot on the deck if you're quick. liberty island is exactly as small and as crowded as we pictured it, but paying for pedestal access was worth it because there is nothing like standing up there and watching the whole city from afar. truly a memorable experience. I wouldn't advise buying access to the crown, though- the view doesn't make much of a difference. keep in mind you will have to store your bags in a locker if you want to step on the pedestal or the crown. all things considered, it's definitely worth the time and money to see the real statue of liberty once in your lifetime. and for history buffs like me, there is a museum on liberty island and another one on Ellis Island!

The museum was very interesting. We took a guided tour to both Liberty 🗽 Island and Ellis Island, which honestly wasn’t worth the money we paid. The guide was great but the tour is reasonably priced and easy to navigate without a guide and includes ferry tickets between the islands. Lots of great photo opportunities on the island and the ferry.

The Statue of Liberty is one of the most iconic landmarks in the world, and it is a must-see for any visitor to New York City. The ferry ride to Liberty Island is a great way to see the statue up close, and the views from the crown are simply breathtaking. I was particularly impressed by the museum on Liberty Island, which tells the story of the statue and its construction. It was fascinating to learn about the history of this iconic symbol of freedom. If you are visiting New York City, I highly recommend taking a ferry to Liberty Island to see the Statue of Liberty. It is an experience that you will never forget. Tips for visitors: Purchase your ferry tickets in advance, especially if you are visiting during peak season. Arrive at the ferry terminal early to avoid long lines. Wear comfortable shoes, as you will be doing a lot of walking. Bring sunscreen and a hat, as there is not much shade on Liberty Island. If you are visiting the crown, be prepared for a narrow, spiral staircase. THINGS TO REMEMBER: 1) but ferry tickets in advance ( would recommend statue city cruise site) 2) if you wish to go up the crown then please book tickets few months in advance but if you wish to just make it to the pedestal then week or two in advance is sufficient 3) be ready to walk a lot

I loved visiting this monument! 195 steps to the pedestal! That's alot but they do have an elevator! You have to pay for the ferry ride to Liberty Island ($23/adult) or/and Ellis Island and reserve your entrance time if you're going to visit the pedestal... that was free. I don't think the website does a good job of telling you what you need to do to plan the visit. It's a two step process. Note: The ferry reservation is on a different website. They have a link on the official website but it's kind of hidden. You also need to time your entrance to the monument or Ellis Island with the ferry ride. The ferry website only has departure times but not arrival times (makes sense though) so you have to factor that in. Also there's airport level security at the ferry so you need to factor that into your departure time as well. There's also security going into the pedestal if you reserve that. All in all my kids and I I loved our visit to see Lady Liberty! If you haven't visited and have the opportunity I highly recommend it. It's truly awesome!

I think this famous statue has become a symbol of New York and even the United States. Many people come here, so pay attention to your feet. If you want to visit up close, you need to take a ferry, the fare is very cheap, there are comprehensive security checks, it is reassuring. The statue is so impressive that it is hard to imagine that it is so beautiful and still has a unique charm after so long. Very shocking, it is a very good National Museum!

It was awesome! Go alone or with bunch of family or friends. You would not disappoint. Pack your meals and spend good time sitting in greens and watching NY skyline. Take time to visit the Statue of Liberty Museum. Must see 10 min act on history of Statue of Liberty. Several antiques that involved in building it are placed for viewers. Coming to Statue of Liberty, about 300 ft raised from ground, beautifully sculpted by Barthold. Magnificent in every angle. Visitors from all over world make it look like true icon of Liberty, watching immigrants coming in and going out of USA.

The ferry trip was lots of fun and although you may get tempted to not go if you are prone to being sea sick, it was a smooth ride. And very quick.. I would think that was only about 10 minutes. The Monument was awesome! Due to COVID - you can only do the pedestal tour. But it’s still very cool! First thing to know: Stairs! Like lots of them. Like 192! That you have to climb. Also the deck is narrow but the views are worth it! But also an insider tip, get some Bill’s lemonade. My wife’s first response was: “wow!” And my cousin said: “best I’ve ever had.” It’s fresh squeezed and so it’s not about the sugar taste. There’s a reason there’s a line. Try it! Get the pedestal ticket for the best views! Lastly, in the museum watch the free movie. It’s super inspirational!

Obviously a major landmark of NYC. I still haven't been in the actual statue, despite being a lifelong New Yorker. Going to the island and seeing the statue in person is a great experience. The museum is also pretty cool and Ellis Island is even more interesting.

Visiting this national monument should be on your bucket list. There is a ferry that will transport you to the monument, but you have to receive an airport style screening for obvious reasons. I would highly recommend purchasing your ticket online due to the long lines you may face at the booths at the ferry staging areas. Once you're on the ferry, you will be able to take many pictures of the NYC skyline as well as purchase delicious food(hot dogs, burgers, drinks, etc) on the boat. The ferries are multi-tiered structures so you may have to walk up and down a few stairs, but they're not steep enough to tire you out. If you want a REAL workout, I challenge you to venture to the crown of the monument. Awaiting you will be all the flights of stairs you can handle, but a breathtaking view that will afford you the best view on the island. Before you leave the island, make sure you visit the gift shop. They have a wide selection of memorabilia and food.

The Statue of Liberty National Monument is a great day attraction when visiting NY. First you get to go on a ferry ride, then you have the whole island to explore. Depending on the season you go ( Better in the summer) you can enjoy the green areas and have a nice picnic. The monument itself is pretty cool even though I thought it was going to be much larger since it looks so large on tv and movies, however it is quite large and it gets its high from the large base it sits on. Inside the statue is pretty cool and if you get the opportunity to go up to the crown that's ever cooler, but few people get this opportunity. Over all there is a lot to see in and under , and around the statute.

Unforgettable iconic place in New York that brings us a nostalgic feeling of the early 20th century. You will enjoy your experience better on a sun sunny day, but if you have bought your ticket and the weather isn't clear you will still enjoy it. I recommend eating before boarding the ferries so you won't waste time at the island. It is interesting to highlight that the basic ticket doesn't grant you access to the statue, just the island. Anyway, the experience is awesome even if you don't climb all the way up. Furthermore, the city view from the island is exuberant.

Beautiful experience. Due to COVID, the pedestal and crown are closed. They offered a tour using a personal device which was helpful in learning about the Statue. The museum was open and it was cool to see real pieces of the Statue up close. Too bad the gift shop was closed. Overall great time. The ferry there was awesome. They give you enough time to get good pictures.

The line to board the Statue of Liberty ferry and screening process are long and time-consuming so give yourself a lot of time! As always though, a visit to Miss Liberty is exhilarating and lives up to every expectation. There's a free audio guide available, so stop by at the kiosk right at the entrance to pick up the audio guide, which makes the visit more informative. The spectacular views of the Manhattan skyline are a bonus as well.

Visiting the Statue of Liberty was on my must-see bucket list. Glad I visited this one time (I even climbed all 539 steps from ground level up to the cramped crown.) TIP 1: Access to the Crown is limited to 300 visitors per day on a timed ticket. So reserve your ticket far in advance (I reserved 2 months out). TIP 2: Bring a quarter to use a storage locker for your bag, purse, backpack. (None allowed inside the Statue of Liberty). TIP 3: The Crown is very small, allowing only a handful of guests at a time, after climbing a steep, winding staircase. The views are not that impressive. Honestly, the views from the open-air Pedestal are MUCH better. Next time, I would just visit the Pedestal observation deck. // Liberty Island, upon which the Statue is located, is immaculate, nicely landscaped, and run by the U.S. National Park Service. Take a peek inside the museum on Liberty Island, it's worth a look!

America is full of great sights and places to visit, but it's the Statue of Liberty that represents the United States like no other place. This symbol of freedom in New York City was gifted by the French to the American people in 1896. Of all the attractions in New York City, this is one every tourist must see. The best thing to do at the Statue of Liberty is to take a ride up to her crown and soak up the view over the city. Access to the statue is via ferry, also a highlight of a visit

Great experience! Ferry ⛴ was nice too! Learned a lot ! The tourists guy was very nice and took pictures of individuals (family) then we All took a picture as a group. After long walks. When the tourists was done. We can explore the area and inside by ourselves but not up to the crown it was closed because of the pandemic. They have stores and restaurant is pricey but good meal. I had a wonderful time with my family.

The statue of liberty is one of the must-sees . I was taken back by how Eco friendly this place is. They had recycling bins and compost bins next to the trashcan in the eating area, which I loved because of the fact that so many people track here on a daily basis. I must say it is a bit of a workout if you are up for the walk up however you don't have to walk all the way, you can take the elevator. There is a lot to see while visiting the statue as well as two areas to learn about the history and the construction of it. They have a small learning exhibit in the statue and a building on the other side. If you are hungry I would highly recommend going to the cafe. Not only will your food be fresh but it will be made to order. They have vegan, vegetarian and gluten free options. Their gluten free bread was super soft and tasted great. They have a lot of healthy food items. They had sandwiches, fresh fruit, pasta salad, regular salads and things to drink. They also had amazing customers survive.

It was a couple of years back when I went there but If you are in New York and you have time please check out the Statue of Liberty. You need to buy the ticket in advance. I went up to the crown. Most of the way you can use elevator but the rest you need to do it on stairs. Be aware, if you have claustrophobic....it is not for you. The way up its very tight and spiral staircase. Kind of dark too. I loved it. Then I recommend to eat at Crown Cafe. Good food. The Ferry is free and you can also get of at Ellis Island.p

It would be useful to discuss that The Statue of Liberty Enlightening the World" was a gift of friendship from the people of France to the United States and is recognized as a universal symbol of freedom and democracy. The Statue of Liberty was dedicated on October 28, 1886.  It was designated as a National Monument in 1924.  Employees of the National Park Service have been caring for the colossal copper statue since 1933.

Park Rangers were super nice and helpful security however were a bunch of lazy rude and unprofessional people they must have hired off the street with how they acted barking orders and shaking their heads like they owned the place. Overall it was awesome experience park rangers were super knowledgeable of the history of the statue. Would highly recommended.

Statue of liberty is a one of the beautiful monuments in America. it is situated between two islands and there is ferry available to see this beauty . If you go there in morning you can explore or enjoy much and see this beauty in day time you would be lucky if I see in sunny weather. As the name suggest this is symbol of liberty and I feel cool and calm when I visited. It was wonderful experience for me and we took pictures from the ferry that is unforgettable. Enjoyed ferry trip also.

We took City cruises from the battery park, NY to visit the Statue of Liberty. We purchased tickets online, in advance since we wanted to go up to the pedestal (A 4 person lift is available if you can't climb the stairs. It has a small queue on a weekday). Tickets to climb to the crown (can be reached only by steps from the pedestal) get booked months in advance. It was such a fun experience.. the boat ride is great, you can move around in the indoor and outdoor deck areas. There is a lot of walking once you get to the island, but it was worth visiting for the amazing views of New Jersey & New York City. The statue itself is majestic and there are some great photo points all around. There are washrooms available in the boat as well as on the island. Keeping a tab on the boat leaving times helped us to avoid waiting around. We also made a quick stop at Ellis Island and had a look at the museum there. Overall, it is an amazing way to spend an afternoon and view one of the most talked about monuments while you are at it!

Memorable experience. We took the ferry from Battery Park around early afternoon and getting to the island was rather quick. There was a lot of people around but it only felt crowded when it was time to leave since we took one of the last ferries. We bought tickets from Cruises experiences and got access to the Pedestal Reserve which I highly recommend. The views from up there incredible.

One of the must visit places in the United States - both for Americans and tourists. There are 2 options to see the monument - either from the ferry or by being on the liberty monument island. I'd definitely recommend being on the island. Just thinking about how it must have felt for all the immigrants who came from across the world in the early 1800s and 1900s on ships, having to wait weeks in the sea only to see this magnificent structure looming in the distance. This monument created hope for those immigrants and still symbolizes America as the land of freedom, opportunities and growth. This monument should always be treated with deep reverence. I highly recommend visiting here as its truly as magnificent as they say it is in tales.

The Statue of Liberty was dedicated on October 28, 1886. It was designated as a National Monument in 1924. Beautiful tourist point to explore

We really enjoyed visiting the Statue of Liberty! We went to the top of the pedestal, but the crown is closed due to ventilation issues and the ongoing threat of COVID. My daughters really enjoyed it though. We climbed the 215 steps to get to the pedestal and it was well worth it.

Statue of Liberty in New York Harbor is a unique symbol of the United States. This sculpture should give a message of America's head standing high in the heart of the world, leaving behind its own dark chapter. More than 4 million people visit the Statue of Liberty every year. The Statue of Liberty has been standing on the shore of the Atlantic Ocean as a symbol of the freedom of American equality for about one and a half hundred years.

Really enjoyed our time at the Statue of Liberty. The lines were not long, and the weather was perfect. You get beautiful views for pictures all over the island, especially of the New York city skyline. There is a museum, gift shop, ice cream stand and a cafe when we visited. The museum has the original torch inside and many other interesting artifacts. I would highly recommend taking the time to come here.

One of the most iconic structures that define the United States. Imagine how it must have felt to all the immigrants who came from across the world in the early 1800s and 1900s on those ships having to wait days in the sea only to see this magnificent structure looming in the distance. Portraying America as the land of freedom, opportunities and growth. This is one of the most scared places in America and to be treated with that respect always. I highly recommend visiting here as its truly as magnificent as they say it is in tales.

Awesome! This is my very first New York visit. The boat ride was smooth, the weather was partly cloudy so it was not very hot and most importantly there weren't a lot of people during our visit so it wasn't crowded and we had a lot of space to move around and take photos. The only downside was that going all the way to the crown is closed due to the pandemic so we only reached the top of the pedestal. But looking forward to visit again in a later time. 🗽😊

The Ferry from the state park in Jersey City is excellent. The Statue of Liberty island is well maintained, safe and fun for all ages. My daughter loved our trip. Make sure you do the junior park ranger program with your children. It is fun and engaging. The statue itself is truly awe inspiring.

Bucket list.....CHECK! WONDERFUL EXPERIENCE! I only climbed 215 steps up to the pedestal. There were hurricane level winds on one side and corner. It was awesome! I will need to make another trip to climb the rest of the 160 steps up to the crown. It was closed and will remain closed until later in the year (2022).

I found this to be historically fun. Ellis Island so many stories. The faces from all over the world. If you have 4 hours this is great. Not for children material is mature. Lady Liberty and a terrific beautiful day. Parking is hard to get to but was ample. On to the world trade center.

If you visit the New York City, then you must visit the Statue of Liberty. There is cruise to enter the Liberty Island and Ellis Island National Museum of Immigration. Cruise ride is fun and you can able to see the statue from the different sides and also beautiful buildings. I felt very happy to see the Statue of Liberty. Its the best place to spend time and also to capture beautiful moments. It will take 3 to 4 hours to visit the monument and museum. We had food in the cafeteria. The food is good. There will be wait time to enter the cruise, so it's better to arrive early and visit it in daytime, then you can able spend more time here. The museum is also good. I loved this place.👍👍

Omg! It was an amazing experience and I got to check it off my bucket list!! Make sure you get early tickets tho. The wait to board to go to the Statue was long and you have to stand in the sun for long periods of time. Also make sure you wear deodorant and have some spray for people that decide they don’t like to wear it. Other than that Ellis Island and the Statue was beautiful. If you go up to the crown: WARNING!! - steps are VERY TIGHT! But beautiful view

So here are my tidbits of info. Park on the New Jersey side because it's easier for traffic purposes and to find parking. Also, pick a day that's not overly hot. There is a museum that is air conditioned and a few stores, but you can't hang out in them forever. Food can be a long line, so be prepared, but it's tasty and the staff is nice. And, bring a water bottle to stay hydrated. Do both Ellis Island and the Statue of Liberty (I included a few photos of both). If you want to go up the statue, you need a separate ticket, good health, and no younger kids as it's a climb. Enjoy both those monumental places and take lots of pictures. Just remember to learn about the details behind both of these places as it's a part of our history.

The Statue of Liberty is definitely one of the must-see attractions in New York. The ferry ride to the island was scenic and enjoyable, and the island itself was well-maintained and clean. The statue was impressive and majestic, and I was amazed by the details and craftsmanship described in the museum. We had booked tickets in advance which was very convenient instead of waiting in the long queue. The cafe on the island was decent, but nothing special. The only downside was that the tickets were a bit pricey, but I would still highly recommend visiting the Statue of Liberty if you are in New York, but make sure to book your tickets early and plan your time well. **Pros:** - Stunning views of the statue as well as the city - Informative, interesting and interactive museum - Scenic and enjoyable ferry ride - Well-maintained and clean island **Cons:** - Expensive tickets - Crowded at peak times

The trip is really cool. Specially for those who are visiting the Liberty Island and Ellis Island for the first time. Is like you finally see something you only know through movies. Amazing. The ferry arrives to each port like every 10-15 minutes. Well, I least today (Dec 30, 2020) it was that frequency. I take the ride from the Battery Park (lower Manhattan), New York. I went in my car, found a parking lot right at the front of the Battery Park. I paid 38 dollars for 4 hours. You can use the public transportation, there is a metro station and bus stop right in the park.

It was an amazing and exhilarating experience to get close to the statue. We started from the New York on the Statue Cruises which was good and quick. A flight of stairs from inside Fort Wood takes you up to the pedestal. The view of Manhattan and New Jersey from the pedestal was beautiful though it was a long climb up the stairs. Worth a revisit.

An absolutely amazing and humbling experience. Definitely worth revisiting even. The museum in the island is a must visit and there you learn the historical significance and the history and opposition to the monument at the time when it was installed. It really makes you think about what certain symbols represent and how what they represent change with time. Easily a three hour event (without Ellis island) from the ticket counter at Battery park and back. Boat ride is quite nice and takes about 20 minutes and 20 minutes for security as well. If you book the ticket online, you can get access to the pedestal as well for an extra 30 cents at $23.80. The views of Lower Manhattan from the pedestal top are amazing and was definitely worth the 200+ steps. If you just want to see the statue of liberty just take the free Staten Island ferry from battery Park.

Last time I saw was many moons ago. Its a somewhat pricey ($23 adult)ferry ride so make sure you request entrance to the pedestal which is free but limited to 1k per day; I was told you'll need to request at least 2 weeks from a ranger. Which may or may be correct but people cancel all the time. I gave 5 stars cause understanding this specific treasure is a must for the citizens.

My dream to visit the Statue of Liberty, it’s great place that have enough space to walk, take pictures and enjoy of the manhattan’s view. For me was a stressful to take the ferry because you have to wait for long line and you don’t have any shade while your waiting and the waiting is a totally a disaster when you go and when you come back. I recommend up the pedestal and if you can take the stairs, it’s better because you can admire the big structure and how it’s been preserved. Also you can enjoy the place and relaxing with less people around.

№ 1 historical Landmark of New York, located in Liberty Island (basically inside NJ State). Easily (and only) accessible through Statue City Cruise Ferry from New York's Battery Park as well as from Liberty State Park, New Jersey. Very crowded specially on weekends. If you want to go to the upper levels (Pedestal access or Crown) of the statue, you need to reserve your ticket in advance. Specially if you want to go to Crown, you need to book few months in advance. Prices are same for all levels, you just need an advance reservation. Also, Crown Access need some additional requirements too. There is also a Museum in the island, called Statue of Liberty Museum (FREE to visit or included in ticket price). It's a decent museum with Statue of liberty's history and models etc. There is also a decent cafe, Statue of Liberty Crown Cafe with outdoor seating arrangement and reasonable price. All tickets included complimentary multilingual Guided Audio Tour too. There is a lot of photo opportunities available through out the island because of beautiful views. If you are in NY, this should be your first place to tour & experience.

We visited this place during out NY trip. It's a breath taking experience to see this world famous monument. I had always seen it in the movies or in the pictures before. Totally fell in love with the entire place and the monument. Need to take a ferry to reach there. And there is a bit of crowd for the ferry. Standing in line ups takes alot of time so plan your visit accordingly. This place is always full of people. Best to visit during summers. Although it's very hot but good to click nice pictures. Lots of photo taking locations. The NY sky line looks amazing from this place. Lots of tourists so this may be a little less secure place so better to take care of your belongings while visiting. May be a boring place for small kids as they get irritated due to crowd and long line ups. But must visit place if you are planning for NY trip.

Well worth a visit to see this while in New York. The museum was an excellent addition to just seeing the Statue. So well done with many great exhibits providing back story. Book ahead for an early sailing. We walked on with little or no wait with a 9am sailing on a weekday. If all you want is to sail past and get a photo, take the Staten Island ferry. It's free and goes right by the Statue. But, you won't land on the island and won't get to see the museum.

Book the crown early as they had all gone by 11am. Really glad I made the trip though. Looking over at Manhattan is great. Really touristy but then so is New York. Loved it.

(Translated by Google) One of the must-sees in New York is to the Statue of Liberty. Its size is small for what one expects when arriving. Normally, there is a queue of days to visit it, so we recommend making an appointment well in advance. You can also see it from the air with a helicopter flight, very typical in this city, or from the water while taking a ferry ride. More than ever the world needs a symbol of freedom and what could inspire freedom more than knowing the story of how the Statue of Liberty even came to be. The Statue of Liberty shows what the common people can do if they have a vision and join and collaborate together. At first glance visitors normally see the triumphant torch which displays the glory of freedom hard won but visitors to the sight will see a broken shackle at her feet which depicted the abolition of slavery at the time. Today people may think this strong female iconic statue has no relevance until they realise that that there are many different types of slavery. The photographs are from my helicopter ride and ferry visit to the Statue. If you are on the ferry you may find you get better shots from the ferry rather than the island due to the proximity of the statue to your camera and trying to avoid other tourists from being in the shot. I'd also recommend you bring a picnic and have some warm clothes if you are going to visit and walk round this amazing site. Once on the island you can get tickets to go into the crown and tickets to Ellis island. There is also a souvenirs and snack shop but as mentioned before it is best to bring a picnic as the queues can be quite long and you may wish to spend the time enjoying the site for the time you have on the island.

In 1865, a French political intellectual and anti-slavery activist named Edouard de Laboulaye proposed that astatue representing liberty be built for the United States. The statue would represent America's independence and relationship with France. Richard Morris Hunt was the actual person who built the Statue of Liberty. October 28th, 1886 was when the Statue of Liberty was finished and opened up to the public.

Visited the Lady Liberty on a Sunday morning. We took the Liberty cruise through NY Experience (lowest price in the market) with pedestal access. We boarded from New York (Battery park) by passing throuh their airport grade security checkup. The speed of the security is fast enough and we took around 10 minutes on the line to get through. The cruise was very crowded but there was sufficient safety instruments. We landed on the Liberty island at first and spent almost 2 hours on it. There's generous amount of spots where you can take brilliant photos with the statue. The upper surface of the pedestal isn't such a good place for photos though. We would recommend taking them from the base of the pedestal. There's a restaurant at the island which stays very crowded and wait time in the queue is 30 minutes (on average). You also get couple of souvenir shops, but found them very expensive.

We booked the lo visit the crown months before arriving as we knew they had limited daily tickets and sell up fast. Please buy months before visiting it’s about £23. We visited in May and the only big queues were getting through security then waiting to be boarded. Once in the island we didn’t encounter any queues and walked the whole island and walked all the way up to the top of the crow lyn which was worth every step. Doing this excursion can take a good 5hrs of your day up so plan appropriately so it doesn’t take up all your day. We also visited the museum and gift shop which are also a good touch and get some souvenirs to take home.

I visited the Statue of Liberty with my cousin a few years back and it was an amazing experience. The statue is a symbol of freedom and democracy, and a gift from France to the United States. It is located on Liberty Island, which can be reached by ferry from Battery Park in Manhattan. The statue is impressive both from the outside and the inside, and we learned a lot about its history and significance from the exhibits and audio guides. There is a museum there that tells their stories and shows their records. It was very interesting and moving to see how they contributed to the American culture and society. The Statue of Liberty is a must-see attraction for anyone who loves history, art, and freedom.

Almost in everyone’s bucket list! We too were astounded by the statue.. We had taken a guided tour so it really enhanced the overall experience since the place has a lot of history.. Unfortunately, we couldn’t go up since the bookings were full for the entire year due to the recent opening up after Covid.. That was a miss ☹️ Having said that you still can have a wonderful experience by just being there. The museum, theatre, viewing platform can keep you busy for hours. Recommended on your trip for East coast.

I saw so many blogs saying that it is better to take the free ferry to Staten Island and take pictures from it rather than pay for the ferry to Liberty Island. I would say, No! You should see it on the island, not on the ferry! You get a much closer look (it is not close enough even - wish I had booked a ticket to Pedestal). Also, the museum is very interesting and informative. I 100% recommend going to Liberty Island and seeing the status of Liberty- liberty enlightening the world.

This is one of those placed u have to visit once in your lifetime. It's a beautiful ground and the statue is so unique and different from any statue u'll ever see in the world. It's super crowded so don't matter what day of the week u go, it's jam packed so expect super long ques, and people encroaching in your space. The top monument is closed but u can access the pedestal area which still gives magnificent views of NYC. Despite the crowds, it's still worth it! Don't forget to also visit Ellis Island and the museum to get a good sense of the history and environment.

Wow, just wow! I felt so humble to tour the Statue of Liberty and Ellis Island. As a teacher, I feel its important to not only understand our history but to experience it first hand. My family and I visited the week of Thanksgiving and it was just breathtaking. We were on the first boat of the day which made for some awesome scenery for pictures with minimal people in them. Make sure to visit the museum at Lady Liberty while you are there also. There are a lot of neat artifacts and information about her creation. There is also a video walking tour inside that takes you through her creation from a visionary thought to where she stands today, symbolizing our freedom! Make sure not to skip Ellis Island also. So much history is engraved in the buildings there that makes a natural born citizen appreciate that right to be a citizen. My family and I spent a solid 5 hours between the 2 sites. Take your time and take in the humble feeling that so many before you have felt. Also be advised, you should give yourself an extra hour of planning to get the the ferry and through all of the security searches and line waiting. The line is extremely long and you can only enter from 1 location. Be prepared and arrive early so you don't miss your ferry.

Unfortunately I didn’t get to go up to the crown, but it was still a great time! The boat over was great, amazing views of the skyline and of the statue when approaching. It was really cool to visit the exhibits at Ellis Island - definitely worth a visit!

Statue of Liberty is one of the iconic location and must visit. We had booked the ferry directly for the official website. We started early to avoid the rush and heat. We took the ferry for “The Battery” and returned to the same location. You can take the ferry from New Jersey side (Liberty State Park) also. The view from the ferry is spectacular. Also be ready for airport like security check before entering for ferry.

Lady Liberty: more people need to visit you bc many seem to have forgotten the concept of “Liberty”. Went on a weekday during mid-winter break and the lines were very, very long with smokers not caring about other people. The ferries were jam packed with people trying to be the next influencer… Everything is an up-charge for the visit: each level that you go up and lockers.

An impressive and a must see iconic structure. Two informative museums on the island. An amazing view from the pedestal, if you wish to go inside the statue, take the stairs, long wait times for the elevator. Need to book few months ahead of time for crown. Great ferry ride (a little snack bar is on board ferry), helpful crew on the island. Lots of parking at New Jersey port entrance, the trip was a lot fun and a must visit in a lifetime!

Amazing place with history. If you visit it as tourist, you will find out why Americans are so proud to statue of Liberty. I like you cant reach it with subway - it would destroy atmosphere and this place could be dirty fast. You can also have amazing view to Manhattan from Liberty Island.

It's a beautiful place to spend the day at. It has large spaces for kids to play and run, the vegetation makes it a magical experience. There is a museum to learn about the immigration and a theater to watch a short documentary. It's a place worth visiting at least once in a lifetime. They will accommodate parents with strollers and the boats are wheelchair accessible. Don't miss out!

Inspirational. Went through Liberty Park in Jersey. Loved Liberty Park, Ellis Island, and of course Lady Liberty. A must see, pictures do not do this place any justice! Plan ahead if you want to learn the amazing history. Get there early because it is super popular! Start at Ellis Island and head to the theater..... Enjoy!

Great experience if you've never been. Restaurant was good on site and some really cool souvenirs in the shop. Lines were long for the ferry and crowded with poor line control. Tickets to go in the statue were "sold out". Which seemed strange.

The majority of Americans are immigrants, so it was great to visit the most beautiful sight that a new immigrant could see; the welcoming Lady Liberty & LAND! Beware the typical security safeguards. The lines are long but each ferry holds hundreds of passengers, so it goes quick. Such glorious history of the melting pot that is the U.S.A. BTW there is a place to buy food but it is mostly lunch or dinner so if you want breakfast, eat before you board. Boarding times are not firm so don't be afraid to come early or late. The subway drops you off a short walk from boarding.

The Statue of Liberty is located at Liberty State Park. The park is enormous and very well maintained. As this is an iconic tourist spot, do expect many tourists at any time in the year. However, the enormous size of the park makes it feel like there is an abundance of space regardless of the amount of people. To get a clear shot of the statue is not as easy as most people will be trying to get the same picture. I would highly recommend paying a little extra to go up the Statue of Liberty. Take the audio guide to learn some history about the island and the statue. It will take 30 minutes at most.

One well-known representation of liberty and democracy is the Statue of Liberty. It is a must-see monument because of its imposing appearance and extensive history. An amazing experience is created by the statue's exquisite design, which stands boldly in New York Harbor, and the stunning views from Liberty Island. The pedestal's educational displays give the visit more depth and make it both amazing and educational. This national treasure is well-deserving of its five-star rating.

This was super cool. We took the Statue of Liberty and Ellis Island tour. It was a beautiful sight to see. The little island is super cool, with a cafe and a nice sized gift shop. It was super crowded in both, but I figure it's just because there are so many different boat companies doing tours at one time. But the inside of the statue itself was super clean, with bathrooms. We only went to the top of the pedestal cause the Lord knows I was not about to climb all those steps. It's still a super cool experience and great views. Really nice photo op on the ground in front. It's very windy this time of year, so bundle up!

If you plan to go into regulation, you must book many months in advance, at least for the high tourist season. I did it many times, although last time our team was only able to get tickets for the pedestal, even though we booked a few weeks in advance. Even then, it was a great ride, especially when combined with a trip to the nearby Ellis Island.

First time going to visit the Statue of Liberty. I ended up taking the ferry from Liberty Park in NJ and going with the ferry to Ellis Island and then to Lady Liberty. There was very minimal social distancing and some people even were not wearing masks properly throughout the entire ride. To be honest no one scanned my Statue of Liberty tickets only my Ferry ticket. Also I had to pay 7$ for parking in Liberty State Park. It was definitely an all day ordeal but worth the trip. Definitely need to layer up for the winter wind.

A nectarine of the elephant is assumed to be an easygoing dog? A prune is a turtle from the right perspective! Some assert that the giraffes could be said to resemble quiet sharks. The first obedient ant is, in its own way, a panda! Extending this logic, the strawberries could be said to resemble willing persimmons.

A responsible hippopotamus is a tiger of the mind! Authors often misinterpret the hamster as a skillful cow, when in actuality it feels more like a hilarious camel. Shouting with happiness, a pineapple can hardly be considered a sympathetic blackberry without also being a grapes. After a long day at school and work, their banana was, in this moment, a gregarious plum.

A gift from the people of France to the people of the United States that symbolizes freedom and enlightenment. Standing tall on Liberty Island in New York Harbor, the Statue of Liberty has welcomed immigrants and visitors to the US ever since it was dedicated on October 28, 1886. The 151-ft- (46-m-) tall copper statue is a figure of Libertas, the Roman goddess of liberty. Holding a torch in her right hand to enlighten the world and a tablet in her left hand inscribed with the Roman numerals for the date of the US Declaration of Independence from Great Britain—July 4, 1776—the statue stands proudly free, the broken chains of bondage at her feet. French origins, American finance. The idea of the statue arose in France when law professor and politician Edouard René de Laboulaye remarked to the sculptor Frédéric Auguste Bartholdi that any monument raised to commemorate American independence should be a joint project between the American and French people, given their revolutionary ties. Bartholdi completed the head and the torch-bearing arm before he had designed the rest of the statue. He exhibited the arm at the Centennial Exposition in Philadelphia in 1876, and later in New York. Fundraising proved a problem until Joseph Pulitzer, publisher of the New York World, appealed for funds, which then poured in from more than 120,000 contributors. The statue itself was built in France by Gustave Eiffel, later famous for his eponymous tower in Paris (see pp.180–181), and shipped to the US. Its completion was marked by New York’s first ticker-tape parade, its dedication presided over by President Grover Cleveland.

The statue that was originally supposed to be a lighthouse, the sculptor of whose had plans to gear it with all gold and for which Thomas Edison had visions to enable it talk, the Statue of Liberty, is a 93 meters towering monument by the French sculptor Bartholdi, in collaboration with Gustavo Eiffel, who holds credits for the steel framework, the Eiffel Tower. It is an asset that calls for Liberty as the Lady, a robed female figure representing ‘Libertas’, the Roman Goddess, raises the torch and gazes out in her usual impenetrable fashion.

Visited here from L.A and loved the experience. We bought our tickets then got on the ferry which took us to the Statue of Liberty. Upon arrival you can walk up to The statue and take pics. You can also go up to the pedestal where you’ll see amazing views of the city. The access to the torch was closed I’m assuming cuz of covid. The museum is really cool too. You get to learn a lot about the history of the Statue of Liberty. They have a cute gift shop too if you want to buy some souvenirs. They have restrooms on site, lockers, and I saw a place to get food and or coffee as well. We went on a weekday so it wasn’t packed. The only time we waited was to get on the ferry. Took us about 15 minutes to board the ferry. Other than that everything was smooth sailing! It takes about 10 minutes to get to the Statue of Liberty from the ferry. They also have drinks and snacks you can buy on the ferry as well.

This is quite the experience. A must see if you are visiting NY or NJ. We took a Ferry to the Statue (Liberty Island), went inside to the museum, went all the way up to the base of the statue (176 steps up), was able to take amazing pictures, then took pictures outside infront of the statue, had a small snack at the cafeteria (they have meals there too), skipped Ellis island because we wanted to Little Italy for lunch and were getting hungry. Great visit.

We came here two years ago before the COVID19 happened in USA but few days after the China COVID19 outbreak. Lots of travelers come to USA, but nobody knows that moment whether there is COVID19 in USA or not. We were too lucky and all went well. Our fellow friends families and my family enjoyed the amazing trip to Statue of Liberty National Monument. The headset translator is great for travelers, there is multi language translation explaining the history of the construction of the statue, the construction, the meaning, and infect to the people around the world.. We came here by boat from New York, in February 2020, weather was great, but New York was little bit cold, however much warmer than Boston, Massachusetts.

Not much to say as you can’t get more iconic than this. Very glad we went, the views were incredible. I hated the shuttle process. The lines were long, security was worse than the airport, the ferry was cramped but it was definitely worth it.

We visited on a Sunday and travel to Liberty Park was not crowded. Even with general admission there is plenty to see. It's the Statue of Liberty, what else is there to say? Make sure you have a mask. You need one to pass through the security screening center (8/9/2022). Guys on the street are selling them for a lot if you forget one. A better option, go to the Ticket sales for the statue tour. They have them for $1 each.

I loved this place.

The Statue of Liberty is one of the most famous monuments in the world. This imposing sculpture, now an icon of New York City, was donated by France to the United States as a symbol of friendship between the two peoples. The Statue of Liberty also hides secrets and curiosities that are often overlooked. If you are in the city, or are planning a nice trip to New York and its surroundings, this article is for you, because it is full of news and curiosities that many people don't know.

I was really happy to be able to see this on the 4th of july. I went with a group tour. It poured rain on US during the tour and let's just say that this island is not designed for water flow. There were many four to six inch deep pools of water and rivers flowing through the walkways. Despite bringing an umbrella it ended up walking around with wet feet the rest of the day. It was amazing to get to see the statue up close and learn the history. Despite the weather it was a really enjoyable tour. The views of New York City from the island were also fabulous. There were way too many people packed into the boats and long waits to get on the boat. Despite all of that it was well worth doing.

The colossal copper statue, designed by Frederic Auguste Bartholdi, exudes an aura of strength and resilience. Its green patina, a result of oxidation over the years, adds a touch of history to its appearance. As you approach, you can't help but marvel at the intricate details in the statue's crown, robe, and torch, all meticulously crafted. Climbing up the spiral staircase inside the pedestal and finally reaching the observation deck is an exhilarating experience. From there, the panoramic views of New York City's skyline and the Hudson River are simply breathtaking. One cannot help but reflect on the significance of this iconic symbol and the ideals it represents.

The only con was all of the helicopters constantly flying over the island.

Where do I start... seeing the Statue of Liberty up close was AMAZING! SHE IS SO INSPIRING! I used Statue City cruises, which, to my understanding, is the only company that offers Crown tours (going into the crown). I wasn't able to get crown tix as they sell out so far in advance! You can book your tour 6 months in advance. We did get a tour to go inside the pedestal, which was so amazing! So the day we went it rained, normally you can see the statue of liberty (sol) from the shore, but since it rained it wasn't possible. You will go through security clearance while on shore, and the staff isn't very friendly. It is a "tsa" level, although we didn't have to take our shoes off, and they allowed our water through. But we did have to remove belts, etc. Then we boarded the fairy. Our fairy stopped 1st at the statue. It was a self guided tour. You can enter the pedestal when you choose. We had to put our bags in a locker and go through another round of security. They allowed water but no food, gum, etc. The lockers take a quarter to get the key, non-electric. Once you're through security, you can go up the steps and either walk the steps all the way up or take the elevator. There is a museum as well on your way up to the pedestal. The views are so beautiful, and you feel so close to the bottom of the statue. There is a cafe and gift shop on the grounds. We then took the fairy to Ellis Island, which is a bit somber as some of the stories are sad. Then when you are done you can head back to the city! The tour was about $25 per ticket, and it was definitely worth it!

We unfortunately only got to see the Statue Of Liberty from across the water, but it still was pretty cool. It was moving into the evening by the time we got here so we didn't get to set up a trip to get close plus it had been raining all day. The area here in lower Manhattan was super cool though and gave off its own experience, and there is literally a subway right there you can take pretty much anywhere in New York. Sometimes you may have to jump on several different subways depending on where you are going. I would for sure say check this place out whether you can hope on the boat to get closer or not!

A beautiful landmark to visit when in New York. Shoud plan ahead, buy tickets online and get to venue before time of booking. Tight security measures making long queue, but didn't take too much time. You could get on board anytime after passing security check point. Boats will run from the Battery to Statute island then to Ellis island then back to the Battery. Worth the trip.

She was a beautiful sight. We did not go inside the base or crown. They also have a museum on the property that was enjoyable to see. Plan to wait a while if you want a coffee from the cafe on the island. It's a poor set up and takes a bit.

It was a wonderful experience. The monument which I wanted to visit eagerly for a long long time. The boat ride was booked months in advance. There are lots of boats operating but the official one which really lands the island has to be selected. We could get tickets for boat as well as entry upto the base of statue also. But tickets for entry to top of statue crown was to be booked at least three months in advance. You have to reach the boat landing at least 20 prior to given time since security check similar to airports are there. The ride takes around 15 minutes. Then you can spend time in the island as per your convenience and return by any boat. There is an elevator upto P5 that’s the base of the statue or you can climb around 200 steps. From there to the crown only steps are available. The view from top is fantastic. In the island there are some food courts, shops selling replicas, key chains, magnets etc. In the boats also snacks and beverages are available. It’s better to book tickets in advance since most of tickets are sold out in advance. The climate factor is to be taken into account. In winter there’s cool breeze in the island and the boat.

We selected a City Cruises tour from Battery Park to visit the Statue of Liberty, securing advance online tickets for pedestal access. The boat had both indoor and outdoor areas, and the island offered breathtaking views of New Jersey and New York City. Ellis Island was a quick stop with its fascinating museum. By keeping track of departure times, we minimized wait times and enjoyed a closer view of the statue, enhancing our overall experience. I highly recommend the Liberty Island tour for its proximity and the informative museum. Despite the crowd, the island had a cafe and gift shop. Despite the windy conditions, the experience was valuable. The Statue of Liberty, symbolizing liberty and democracy, is a must-see with its grand design and educational displays on the pedestal. History enthusiasts can explore museums on both the Liberty and Ellis Islands. For short-term visitors, I recommend purchasing advanced tickets, considering the airport-like security at Battery Park. Waiting for the ferry in the sun proved uncomfortable, emphasizing the need for more shade. Overall, the experience was highly enjoyable.

A fantastic place to visit. Also get the State cruise and is the most value for money interesting places to visit in New York City. The statue is magnificent. Strongly recommend to go to the Pedastal and the crown. Still the inside of the statue instead of just the outside. One can spend the whole day here.

Very cool experience! High recommend the audio and see the short movie on her island it was very informative! Ellis island was cool too but all of the ancestry look up is a QR code now. It might been because that section was closed when I went but it’s less fun on your phone haha. Nonetheless a great experience.
