They have a good selection at this Mediterranean restaurant. Though my ricotta pancakes could of been a bit hotter, they were good. My sister enjoyed her breakfast as well and the staff was very friendly. Update: I will definitely be returning as it had been awhile since by last visit before this past Sunday 😋

The two stars is strictly due to the poor service/awful waitress we had. If the waitress hadn’t been terrible I would give them 5 stars for the food and ambiance. We cut the waitress some slack in the beginning thinking the restaurant was probably short staffed and super busy. Even when tables cleared out she barely paid any attention to us. Later in the evening we asked for a 2nd glass of wine which she didn’t bring. We asked another server as well and still didn’t get it so we gave up and just asked for the check. The waitress brought the check along with the glass of wine (after at least 20 min). I asked her if she had charged us for it already since we were ready to go and she very rudely replied that she had and we could take our time finishing it or she could refund it if we wanted. We just paid and didn’t bother getting a refund. She was clearly annoyed that we even asked anything and definitely didn’t see any issue bringing us a drink so late when we had finished eating. At that point it was obvious the issue was the waitress. She avoided our table completely after that exchange and I had to ask the person at the take out window for a box for my food. The food was good but the waitress was so horrible she ruined the entire experience. To the owner, I highly recommend you offer this woman (name starts with an A per the receipt) training or have her in another role. She never once apologized for her attitude or poor service. I had been looking forward to going to your restaurant and now I do not think I would return despite the food being good.

The food was really good and the restaurant was beautiful. However, the service wasn't that great. Our server took over 25 minutes to take our order, we didn't get water till halfway through our meal, we rarely saw our server, it took over 30 min to get our food but they weren't that busy and others who arrived after us got their food before us, it took over 20 minutes to get our bill. We had to ask the hostess to get it for us. We were there for almost 3 hours. Luckily it was a nice day. I would go again because the food is amazing! But we'll probably sit inside next time so we're not forgotten.

This place is truly a gem. We went as a group of 6 for a weekend lunch and we were pleasantly surprised with the quality and deliciousness of the food. Truly fresh and flavorful. Quirky atmosphere and decor. Would definitely visit again

The Art Cafe is such a gem for our town in Rockland. Food is delicious and authentic, not to mention the fresh mediterranean vegan/vegetarian food options! They even have a gluten free options available as well. Definitely try the in house made hummus, it’s one of my absolute favorites! My whole party was satisfied with their meals. The cafe itself is small, but very cozy with an "artsy" ambience. The outdoor seating area is perfect to spend time along the Hudson River. Service was phenomenal and staff didn’t disappoint! We were given recommendations and greetings upon ordering. If you’re in the area, definitely stop by and try it yourself!

The food is great, fresh and delicious, though, overpriced. Service could be better, and while we enjoyed the food, the staff was a bit impatient. Beautiful cozy design, with outdoor and indoor seating.

Yummy. Everything we ordered was delicious. Too many good options on the menu! We had to wait so it's likely best to make a reservation. We'll definitely be back.

I love this place! The food is unique and delicious, normally something you need to go into New York City to find. I went on an evening when they had a live jazz band playing outside and it was fun to see the dancers swing dancing to live music. There was even a lesson at the beginning of the evening with a professional dancer from NYC. Highly recommended it even when there isn’t live music, the food is great!

The food in this place is awesome, and decently priced. This would’ve been a 5-star review it it wasn’t for the poorly trained waiting staff who won’t bother to take your order (forget about being checked-on) until you flag them to get their attention. It took them 25 minutes to take our order, and other 35 to serve it. The place wasn’t even half capacity (we got a table right away at an empty corner of the restaurant by the kitchen). We found that our food was waiting at the kitchen counter for at least 10 minutes before being served, and sadly, it wasn’t as warm as we would’ve liked. This is the 3rd time we visit this place in 2 years, and although the food is delicious, the service could improve a lot. We most likely won’t go back, which is sad because we’ve loved the food every time.

Came here on a Friday for late lunch. There was a 25 or so minute wait to be seated. I ordered the hummus malawach, which was a flaky dough filled with hummus, egg, and Israeli pickles. My friend ordered the shakshouka. The malawach was pretty heavy but tasty. It was very savory, almost salty due to the pickles. The shakshouka wasn’t my favorite but not bad. I’d say it’s pretty good if you’re in the area, the space is pretty cool and they have outdoor seafood too. We were sat at a small table for three in the corner and it was kind of an awkward, slightly uncomfortable seating on the bench. Might not be ideal for some people. Parking is street parking

It's difficult to find a place to start. The food is wonderful, everything has an authentic taste and feel to it. We ordered the shakshuka, mozzarella toastini and hummus malawach. We also ordered two spinach and feta borokes. Everything tasted better than the previous bite. The atmosphere is nice, the otheside dinning was recently renovated, it was a warm welcome and since we had a reservation we were seated immediately. Our servers were all friendly and warm. This is the real deal. I will definitely be back and I cannot recommend enough to go to this place. 10/10.

Love the atmosphere. They have live music on the weekends with outdoor seating. The dining inside has cute seating areas, some are in the cut in a little alcove. The decor inside gives this place a lot of personality. On one side is more of a restaurant while the other side is a cafe.

Cute cafe in a cute downtown. Drove upstate for scenery and hopped into this cafe for an evening coffee/tea. Was crowded on a Sunday afternoon at 4pm! Luckily the bar counter had 4 seats. Loved the ambience and the drinks. Can’t wait to go here for brunch!

DO NOT GO HERE. I cant believe this place has a good rating. This has been absolutely the WORST cafe i have ever been too. Spent $36 on food quality that is less than $8. Pancakes r too dry and stiff and the scrambled eggs are not even real its fake eggs

This place is super cute and has a beautiful park walking distance featuring a butterfly garden. We walked there while we waited for our seats to be available. Our server Akadia was the sweetest and helpful. It was her first day on the job but she was obviously made for the position because she knew the menu and made good suggestions. Can’t wait to return!

Server was very nice and accommodating. Main course (bowl) was so so, but the appetizers are unbelievable.

Absolutely fabulous Hummus Malawach. This is an amazing Israeli dish - a sort of flakey pastry that is shaped like a pita, with homemade creamy hummus, thinly sliced hard boiled egg, and sliced pickles. The pickles are everything!! Served with a side of shashuka (tomato sauce) and salad (ask for the Israeli salad.) Soooo good. I'd come back weekly for this. Good coffee too. Ample outdoor seating and cute outdoor place for kids to play while you eat with the grown-ups.

This place is beautiful!! So cozy! Came here for my mom’s birthday. We decided to get breakfast, I got the American breakfast platter and she got the shakshuka, both super delicious! I totally recommend if you want a quaint space. I’m looking forward to dinner next time I’m here.

One of my favorite local spots! The food is so authentic and hard to find such good Israeli food. GF and vegan options, plenty! Great outdoor area to enjoy your meal, small area for little kids to play a bit. The service is always great and staff super kind. Their coffee is also delish!

Food was DELICIOUS. Hummus was to DIE for... I'm still regretting not ordering more to-go for home the next day. Extensive vegan menu (Mediterranean fare)... Get the spinach quiche & cheese malawach for those who are not vegan. Food was beautifully presented. Sweet and attentive wait staff, great music & musicians, very chill vibe. We had a very nice time, thank you! Def making our way back again from Poughkeepsie! Pic is 2nd reheat at home, not as nicely presented but still so very delicious.

ALWAYS AMAZING!!!! Everything I get here is always so fresh, flavorful, and they serve big portions! I recommend everything honestly. Vegan or not! The drinks are also great. Dirty chai and lavender latte, the teas …. You can’t go wrong. It’s cozy, cute, and good vibes!!!!!

I'd like to give everyone a fair review. Inside dining had uncomfortable seating, we were sat by the bay window with no back support. The goat cheese was good, the hummus was very dark in color but had a great taste. My salad was ok, but too much cherry tomatoes. My wife food was very sweet.

The Art Cafe is a very fun, cute brunch spot! Went with my friend for her birthday and loved the experience. There is indoor and outdoor seating, inside can be a little congested but has a warm atmosphere especially with the different artwork. The coffee and the food are amazing, well made and definitely you will be full. Staff are very friendly. I believe they only take cash. Would highly recommend coming here if you are in the Nyack area.

I took my friends here to eat and they loved it!! They finished everything they ordered too. My favorites are the matcha latte and the malawa, but I don’t think you can do wrong with anything on the menu. The ambiance is super cute too and it really encompasses the vibes of downtown Nyack.

A quaint shop with good food and great coffee, friendly staff. A hidden gem in a cute town. Was a bit busy and very popular during a weekday lunch hour but you can always order to go.

Everything I had here was so good! My friend and I shared everything so I could try a little bit of everything. I got the Eggplant Malawich (which I forgot to take a picture of) but it was so flavorful and the eggplant was well cooked!! The pita bread is to so perfect, probably the best I’ve ever had!! I also had some of the salad we ordered, it came with a date honey dressing that was nice with the arugula in the salad!!
