Please please please do not waste your time by going to this place. I never leave bad reviews and I usually try to understand the difficulties that come with any customer service job but I can’t stand this place. My roommate needed to go to the walk in so I went with her. We ended up waiting almost 3 hours and we’re the last people in the place just for a guy to tell us the doctor was too tired to see us. Not only that, the lady doctor at the reception was speaking loudly about making my roommate and another man “battle royale” by putting them in the same room. This place is extremely unprofessional and rude and does not care for their customers in the slightest. If you hate your job, do not put it at the cost of others.

I went into this clinic on November 17, 2020. At the time there was one doctor working and as many times as your rang the bell no one would approach to assist you. I had to self register at a kiosk. During my two hour wait for a doctor. I watched many people approach the desk looking for assistance and at one point had to assist people at the kiosk because they also were elderly and incapable of doing so. After two hours a gentlemen called me and told me I can’t be seen but to schedule a virtual appointment with a doctor. I was blown away considering I was there for a potential strep throat and how could someone possibly know how to treat me without a proper exam or swap. The video chat lasted 5 minutes and I had a prescription ready to be picked up off a presumption based on symptoms. This couldn’t have gone more wrong. Due to me being in crucial amounts of pain I had no choice but to fill it. The next morning I woke up in anaphylactic shock and had to be rushed to the emergency. I also explained this story to doctors at the hospital and they couldn’t believe a doctor would prescribe something without a proper assessment. This clinic should be happy I don’t sue their practice. The system is broke and this needs to change. Do not open your doors if you cannot properly treat someone.

Unhelpful and indifferent staff, needlessly long wait times. We could’ve easily registered and booked an appointment online, but they let us rot in the waiting room for 40 minutes without telling us so. Don’t waste your time with this awful clinic. I’d rather incubate crocodile eggs with my stomach than book another appointment with these incompetent morons

I walked in, signed in on the self serve kiosk and chose stitches/sutures as the reason for my visit. The screen then said I would receive a text alert when they could see me. Great, about an hour later I got the message, went in and saw the doctor. "Oh, we don't do stitches here" Gee, thanks for nothing.

No issues here. Doc was kind, nice, prompt when I was advised to return, and they texted me to lmk when my appointment was good. 40 minutes early, as soon as I walked in, the room was full of people, and they called me immediately. Idk what people are so dissatisfied with, because my visit was prompt quick, efficient and resolved -ish minus potential pneumonia lol. 😂 Happy with these guys. Too bad the one near me closed down. If there’s any issues come here earlier than later.

Would have rated a 0 if that was an option. Was supposed to open at 830am and we arrived at 815. Waited in the waiting room with others waiting, no employees there! A Doctor arrived at 845 and couldn't even get in until an employee showed up at 9am. She didn't even speak to us and a room full of frustrated people waiting to see a Doctor are STILL waiting to be registered or spoken to at 9:15. Website now says appointments only (supposed to be walk ins) Absolutely disgusting! Is this what our health care is now????

This place is a joke. I stood at the counter for more than 15 minutes after the machine said I had to talk to reception. They had 8-9 people in the waiting room and they told me it was a 4 hour wait. I mentioned an injury and they said they don't/can't do any work related injury service there. I said I didn't know if it was work related or not, that's why I'm there to figure it out. I don't know if an actual doctor was even in the clinic at the time or if it was telemedicine. There was only 1 staff member I saw the entire time I was there. After an hour wait and seeing no one from the room be called, I just left. Go somewhere else even if it's further away. For the love of your sanity.

You would be better off self diagnosing from WebMD. Front desk staff: I waited for 10 minutes while they walked past me. They did not acknowledge or register me (the only patient in the waiting room) for another 20 minutes. After the 20 minute wait the front desk staff informed me that my appointment had been canceled and rescheduled for a date 6 weeks later.

I haven’t had any luck getting a proper diagnosis with my issue in the past few months. I get conflicting reviews from the GP and specialist and when I asked to get another opinion, the GP refused to book me an appointment with another specialist. Also, I was told I had to come in person to review my test results, after being called two days in a row to come it. It made me panicked and I thought it was serious, but it turned out it’s only because they want to see patients face to face if possible to give test results, which to me is very irresponsible during covid. Try and avoid this clinic if possible!

Horrendous business practice. Terrible client service. Zero appreciation. Being diagnosed by a person in TV because they no longer use actual doctors it's a joke. Having to sign yourself in because no one works getting desk is a joke. Joey being able to be diagnosed properly because the person on the TV isn't allowed to make proper decisions it's a joke. The business is a joke. Do yourself a favor and find a real doctor clinic.

Very bad experience with pap test clinic, the "nurse" who performed it was one of the most Unfriendly people I ever met. Her attitude ruined my day. And on top of that she handles the materials of the test with such un clean way: the tubes were open before I intered the room, not sure how clean her hands when she opened them.

Appletree has the worst service regardless of where you go. Went for a wart clinic at the time posted. About 50 people waiting and not a single staff member. Gave it a couple of minutes and left. Start treating patients as people to be cared for and not objects to be fixed.

I have to give 5 stars to Dr. Chapman. I wish there were 10 stars. He is one of a kind and personable. He listens attentively. I wish he was still in office. Dr. Chapman, I hope that you and your family are well. I took my son to see him months ago and the visit went well. We left feeling totally satisfied.

Extremely unhelpful and inconsiderate staff. Apparently the doctor is not properly licensed to fill forms out which doesn't make much sense, even the woman before me was confused as to why he refused to correct a prescription (that she needed urgently) mistake made by him in the first place and was told to try another clinic instead.. The health care system is really starting to get slack why become a doctor if you wont even perform routine services and corrections?!

Disgusting. They say open at830, nobody there, no tickets, no order the waiting room is by 9 full of ppl waiting for walking, and they say at 930 we will decide if we do walking or not. Then even if u come first, u have to figth with all the 14 that came after u, to pass ur card and wait, wait to see if they decided to do walking or not. Lack of respect of ppl time, condition, need, total lack of humanity, or common sense.

Website doesn't say 4 and under will not be examined through telemedicine. Went there with my kid after I booked online appointment and after waiting there for 30 mins the person who was supposed to take us for examination refused stating they don't examine 4 and under. Wasted my 1.5 hrs going there, won't be going there anytime in future.

The front staff here only have time to flirt with the doctor. Don't even care or come to the front for the patients, who actually want to see the doctor.(Wednesday April 13th 2022,) i hope someone will take action.🤞🏽

Wish I could give a negative 5 review. My son’s 2 years vaccine appt was book back in april, they kept pushing it without even bothering to call until we finally got it in november. We arrived at 5pm for our 5:10 appt. and there was no one else in the clinic. But after 10 minutes of waiting another 2 persons came in and registered. They were late for their appt. but were seen before us!! We waited until 6:15 and still no one came to see us which is very unprofessional imo. I talked to the receptionist -who was very aggressive- that we cant wait any longer and he said he can reschedule us for next week, but then the doctor’s assistant came and said that there’s no spots next week and if we want to be seen we have to wait until next month and she was very very very rude and hostile as if it’s personal. Dr. Cornet can be good at her job, but the level of treatment we received today is nothing but disrespectful and far away from professional. The saying true, that appletree is nothing but a corner store clinic!

I am beyond furious. This clinic (without my consent!) registered themselves as my family doctor, removing me from the health care connect waiting list which I've been on for three years. This is so fundementally horrible. Not only are they unhelpful as a walk-in clinic, but they are literally worse than nothing at all. I've been without a doctor my entire life, and Apple Tree Medical group just set me back another 5 years!

One word : Incompetent They don’t care if you’re sick or not they will give you a hard time. Don’t waste your time taking an appointment they don’t know what they’re doing. They canceled my appointment two times for different reasons. Worst experience ever. Disgusted

I used my Quebec healthcard and the doctor forgot to sign on the receipt. I needed to track him but could not see his name online on the dates he comes here. There was no way to confirm by calling. I took chances 2 days according to advice from reception and missed. Horrible doctors, horrible service. Check for yourself.

I scheduled a pap test and it was horrible. No doctor present, no pelvic test, she put on gloves than grabbed the garbage can. When she did the test she left the speculum inside me and proceeded to grab things out of the drawers. At the end she handed me a panty liner with blood on it. I am traumatized. Never again will I go back here. I'm still in shock. I will forever go to a women's clinic where in treated with caution and care.

Their website information is misleading. Said there was a 15 minute wait for the walk-in clinic. Got there 20 minutes later and there was no more place available. What's with the 15 minute waiting time which is far from being true.

Drove in from Bells Corners today, registration started at 930am and we got there at 1015 and was told they aren't taking any more walk-ins today. THE WAIT TIMES ON THE WEBSITE SAID 30 MINUTES TO SEE A DOCTOR AND WAS STILL BEING UPDATED WITH THE SAME INFO AFTER WE LEFT. RIDICULOUS.

Went in after triple checking that they were open, the doctor had decided to leave 4 hours early. The door still said they were open and so did the website (updated just minutes before I arrived) . Guess I should be glad since the doctor working has had his license suspended multiple times.

Should be zero stars. Stood around with 2 others for 45 minutes until I rung the desk bell and someone came out and said wait time is 2 hours… waste of time going in.

Terrible. Tried to sign up with the kiosk. Took all the personal information before finally getting stuck at an empty list of doctors with no way to continue. When the one staff actually came back to the desk, they left after talking to one person. And the list of things they don't take care of is pretty much everything. If you need medical assistance, go ANYWHERE else.

I don’t know why the rating here is so low. I’ve had extreme ankle pain for almost a year. Ottawa general told me it was arthritis and sent me on my way, because they didn’t care. I knew they were wrong. So I booked an appointment at appletree. They got me in on a Saturday at 5:45pm. The doctor was great! He saw me on time, he instantly diagnosed me with tendinitis, gave me a cortisone shot, booked me in for more x-rays and prescribed me orthotics. The only reason it’s not 5 stars is they had nobody at the front desk and their sign in computer couldn’t find my appointment. So there was a little confusion and waiting around. Other than that, it was a good experience.

  • 1/5 Drew W. 6 months ago on Google • 11 reviews
Arrived 10 min before open, ended up waiting around 40 min. Not too bad if you arrive early and anticipate a wait. My problem is the doctor gave me a requisition for a throat swab and upon visiting a lab, they tell me the doctor needs to give you the swab to drop off. Which means it’s BACK to the drop in clinic if I want test results.

Says on the website it's a walk in for Fridays. Showed up, sign says "no walk-ins, appointments only" Set up a telehealth meeting instead. Doctor says "hmm yeah you should go to a walk in"

  • 1/5 Jessica G. 7 months ago on Google • 8 reviews
They don’t deal with mental health issues such as anxiety or depression. If you come here you can only discuss one thing. So if you have nose ear and throat issues nope pick one to talk about. Waited forever! The way they call patients in makes no sense. People who got here and registered after me got called before me.

  • 1/5 Caroline I. 3 months ago on Google • 5 reviews New
This review is more for the utter frustration in trying to access a person to book an appointment, and the 'patient portal' where you're apparently able to book a follow up appt, but that's rubbish - you can't! No matter what time of day I call, I can never get through. Ever. I have seen a Doctor, given reqs for testing but they wouldn't book me a f/u appt there - I had to call once the testing was done. I have tried patient portal but it's so poorly set up that there is no access to book an appt with anything other than a NP, a travel clinic or for wart removal! It is soooooooo bad.

I would give it less stars, but Dr.Chapman is hands down THE BEST doctor I've had the pleasure of seeing. Sadly, since he seems to have left, this place isnt worth it. Wait times are always way off, the self check in kiosk has been broken since before covid. Since covid started you're lucky if this location is open at all, and even luckier if you get to actually SEE a doctor. Most times you end up seeing a student that isnt allowed to perform any medical procedures on you without a trained doctor supervising, which there never seems to be asides from telehealth. So, if you need your prescription renewed, I suppose this spot works. If you need anything more though, look elsewhere.

Horrible place, misdiagnosed me by saying it was just a flare up of my asthma when I knew it wasn’t. Told him my friends were diagnosed with bronchitis and he said that I didn’t have it and if my symptoms got worse to come back in. Went to the hospital and was told I could have gotten ammonia if I had waited like this clinic did.

  • 1/5 evelynn k. 11 months ago on Google
Don’t waste your time. We waited for four hours just to eventually be told that the doctor is going home early. No apology, no explanation. We were told that it would be best if we waited in our car because the waiting room was at capacity. They assured us that they would text us when it’s our turn. We checked in every hour to see where we were in the line and they kept us updated. After the fourth hour I walked in and asked where we were in the line, she said that the doctor had gone home early. When I asked her why she didn’t text/call to inform us she told me “if you were in here, we would have” Now, we have to go sit in the emergency room all night even though we’ve already been waiting for this doctor for 4 hours. So disappointed.

  • 1/5 Zerk M. 1 year ago on Google
Just go to the hospital if you need actual care. They advertise that you will see a doctor to force you to come in just for them to only offer telemedicine with an overworked assistant. What a scam.

  • 5/5 Kortney C. 10 months ago on Google
The wait was long but that's to be expected, especially with the population of Ottawa. The doctor was really kind to me and my 5 year old autistic son 🙌 I would go back if I need to see a doctor again ! (Clinic is for 6+ but the one seeing the doctor was me)

  • 1/5 Thomas M. 10 months ago on Google
Badly run, badly managed, bad communication, no bathroom in waiting area, just plain awful. There was a gentleman who was first in line. Turns out he had registered for the doctor who was coming in later on, despite there being no information anywhere stating that, so he was bumped to the back of the line. Honestly reprehensible service

  • 3/5 Seema B. 5 years ago on Google
The wait times are way off and ridiculous! I went to the Bank St location where about 15 people were waiting (some for hours) before they announced there was a mixup with the schedule and there was no Doctor coming in. I then went to the Merivale location where it said there was 3 patients ahead of me - I waited over 2 hours!

  • 1/5 Nubia Isabel M. 2 years ago on Google
It should be 0 starts . I had to get a vaccine for pregnancy and they were not able to provide the service even if they have it, extremely bad experience and bad health service, specially for a pregnant woman (around 8 months). Instead a doctor in this place told me to go to another location at 225 Preston st. where I wait more than 2 hours standing (which made me had pain in my belly) they almost send me home without the vacine which is ridiculous. What a bad service specially for pregnant women

  • 1/5 Owen A. 2 years ago on Google
Please do not waste your time and go there. Under staffed. Lack of organization, lack of communication, you will end up waiting there for 20 minutes and filling up an application then be told you won't be seen because of that. The place is very dirty and there were not enough chairs so you have to stand for a long time waiting for your turn.
