We visited the temple on Songkran day. There was a wonderful market on! The temple is home to a cool shrine dedicated to the ghost of a woman who died in childbirth. The temple is said to be a very lucky place, so naturally there are tons of lottery ticket vendors scattered throughout the grounds. This temple is worth a visit when travelling in Bangkok. It has a slightly different atmosphere to the other temples that I have visited.

It's very special place to visit and meet ordinary Thai people coming to the temple to buy a lucky lottery tickets or coming for blessings to win the lottery and get rich. I personally enjoyed my visit to the temple deposit the fact I didn't go to buy a lottery ticket or asking anyone to bless me. This great temple, you can reach by a taxi or private car or take the BTS, get of at Onnut station and walk in Sukhmovit 77 for 15 or 20 minutes.

To worship to Mae Nak and Wessuwan gods. Today is not many people due to a weekday and a raining day. Mostly, people come to worship mainly Mae Nak to get the random number for lottery winning chance. Normally closed at 17.30 but for the day before date 1 and 16, this place will be opened 24 hrs.

In addition to making merit at this temple There is also a well known horoscope and in the temple there is a horoscope zone at the back where there are many fortune tellers which can be accurate or not depends on your horoscope. It was unfortunate for me to come across a fortune teller who told me that a ghost was following me and gave me a large sum of money to make merit.

This place is a famous Thai temple with the legend of the spirit of the Mae Nak woman, and it was made into a movie. You can find some evidence on display of the Mae Nak legend. You can pray for luck, work, or happiness. The natives sell animals to be released here; try it out. It's very interesting. Please note that there are some places where photography is not allowed.

One of the highlights of Wat Mahabut is the shrine dedicated to Mae Nak, a beloved figure in Thai folklore. Visitors to the temple often come to pay respects to Mae Nak and ask for her blessings, especially if they are hoping for good luck with the lottery. In my opinion, Wat Mahabut is a great place to visit with a loved one. The temple's serene and tranquil atmosphere makes it a perfect spot for couples to pay their respects to Mae Nak and ask for her guidance. Whether you are looking to connect with your spiritual side or just want to spend some quality time with your partner, Wat Mahabut is definitely worth a visit.

Have you seen the movie "Mae Nak"? Else watch it first before coming! PS: Fish feeding is pretty fun just at the water's edge

Not a typical pagoda tourist people usually visit in Thailand. Here are mostly for local worshippers. Maenak is a lady who passed away in childbirth, and people come here to pray for their luck or for their spouses to not go on military service. But you can just simply come here to pay respect to the Buddhas and Maenak, as well as experience Thai religion and culture.

Mae Nak Phra Khanong, or simply Mae Nak or Nang Nak, is a well-known Thai spirit. A shrine dedicated to Nak was constructed at Wat Mahabut to let people pay their respect and seek her favours. 🙏🙏🙏

What a fun juxtaposition of experiences! Worth a stroll through the complex to get back to the river behind, where you can feed fish on the Ping River. I had no idea what I was walking into. So much fun.

Beautiful wat no ticket needed. Lovely place to worship Mae nang kwak and has lots of food stalls and worship items. You can purchase lottery tickets aswell. Not far from central Bangkok. I highly recommend to visit this beautiful wat (temple). 🙏🏻

It’s one of the famous temple in the area following from the story. Usually the local will come and pray to the spirit about love and money

Nice temple which attracts many people, but it also feels a bit too commercialized. The main attraction is the statue of pregnant lady 'Nark' who waited for her husband who died fighting in Ayutthaya.
