The worst club I've ever been to... You should visit it to see what I mean XD. Music just like the radio is on. No mixing, just play and stop.They distinguish between locals and tourists. I mean tourist pay more, Portuguese less at the entrance. It's always full because people wanne feel the vibe of an outdoor club... No more, no less... I recommend: stay out, go somewhere else and spend your money there. Or just turn on Spotify, gives you more party than this club... Peace

Me and my three friends entered this club to finish our night out in Lisbon. Admittedly we were all under the influence of alcohol. We were given cards on entry and didn’t pay an admission fee, we didn’t even question it we just wanted to dance. We bought three drinks, danced and then attempted to leave. I paid for myself, my friend paid and the third girl couldn’t find her card. The girl at the tills was unhelpful and obnoxious. She told me if i couldn’t find it it would be 150. No explanation given as to why , that was that. An OBSURD amount of money to leave a club. I went back to the exit to find my friends , who were negotiating with bouncers. Then a bouncer took 20€ off my friend to let her leave, but in the meantime I didn’t know this and when we tried to leave together, we were held at the door. Refused exit. We paid the 150 as we had no choice. It was a frightening experience. We felt like criminals and completely vulnerable in a country that was not our own. If there was something special about the club and we entered a VIP area then maybe 150€ is justifiable. Horrific experience. Do not waste your time. Okay hat was otherwise lovely experience in Lisbon was let down by this nightclub

This place is beyond criminal. After confronting the staff about their physical bullying of a female patron, I was assaulted by 5 of the security guards. Punched, kicked and thrown to the floor. Horrible!!! After mentioning that I would call the police they did it again. As limping off, I even had a bottle thrown at me. The girl who was initially trying to leave, had been there for less than 5 minutes and they wanted 150 euros from her for her to leave. These guys are criminals. This is one of the thug security guards who would hide his security badge if asked to see it. The police need to crack down on this place.

25 euros minimum. Then you must wait 2 hours just to get your jacket back. Staff is rude for no reason. Why would you pay so much to be disrespected like this? People in here are weird, so it makes sense, only weirdos would come here

Absolutely disgusting- if you are not local to Lisbon and do not speak Portuguese Avoid at all costs !!! ❌❌❌❌❌❌❌❌ Just visited this club and had an awful experience. We queued for over an hour only to be discriminated against as we were from the UK. The bouncers at the door asked us to pay €25 just to get past them while freely letting locals through to the entrance. The bouncers smirked and seemed to find it funny we were from England thinking straight away they could take advantage of us and manipulate us into paying extra money. I’m sure if you are from any other country they will treat you just the same! Don’t ignore the other reviews as they are most likely all accurate. This place is absolutely shambolic.

To all my black tourists please do not go to this club. It was explained to me that they want to portray an image of exclusivity so they won’t let in any black people, especially if you’re in a large group. I went with a group of 8 girls and we were all kicked out of the line. We even said we wanted to buy a table and they sent us away. The bouncers are all black but they have some weird slave mentality.

Me and my friends have been going to the club for many years now and never had a bad experience! We went last night and waited for 45 minutes in line and as soon as we approached the security guard to be let in they told us we couldn’t get in and gave us no reason as to why. They told a couple people behind us that they couldn’t get in either. The security guards were also pulling people out of the line and letting them cut in front of everyone and let them in , definitely playing favorite. It’s ridiculous how they treat people there.

We were recommended to go here and when we got there we had to pay €20 in which apparently locals get in for free (we’re Irish). There is absolutely nowhere to sit unless you’re in the private areas, so we were told by one of the bouncers that we could sit on the steps, and as soon as we did, 3 other bouncers came over and roared at us to get up and we weren’t allowed sit there and we tried to explain that we were told we could and they completely ignored it. They would not stop roaring at us until we got up. One of my friends sat on the side of a plant thing and another security guard came over and told us to get up. Using this review as well as the many, many other bad reviews, DO NOT GO HERE. Not worth it whatsoever.

One word. Racist. As four black people, we were willing to spend €5k+ and they would not even speak to us. Why should we beg to spend money? I DO NOT recommend this club. We were dismissed due to our skin color. They would not speak to us for more than 15 seconds.

Most terrifying experience ever. Bouncers won’t let you out until you pay a €150 fee. They pushed me several times, choke a friend and when I was recording all they took my phone and didn’t want to give it back. After that, they pushed my boyfriend and he hit his head on the floor. They had to call an ambulance because he was bleeding so much. I have never been treated this bad in my entire life, anywhere, I don’t wish this to anyone. It’s like being a hostage. Please don’t go, it will ruin your trip.

The worst and most expensive bar I've ever been in. They purporsley explained the situation in a manner that mislead us into believing we had to fill our drink cards fully. I had to pay 80 euro under the guise I only had to pay 30€. If you don't enjoy over spending and you don't like watered down drinks, then I encourage you to stay away from this venue. I don't understand how their business operations are legal, let alone moral. Adult entertainment clubs within the city are much more affordable and enjoyable than the disaster I experienced at the "Lust In Rio" club. If you have any sense, stay away from this scamming venue.

I agree with 95% of these reviews - After finishing off at the last event night at @Sonar Festival me and my friend went to this venue for the afterparty. We were not told what the paper cards were used for and I accidentally lost mine and was not allowed out of the venue by bouncers / bar manager. I was man handled and forced to pay the fee for losing the card... It got to the point: "If I don't pay, I'll get beaten up by the group of guards" - Do not go to this venue!!!

Bouncers pushed me from the queue when I asked them to explain the thing about the 30€ minimum Sales Limit, when I said please don’t push me I am a Woman a female came and pushed me again. My UK people avoid this place! I was the best dressed there with heels and dressed up and everything and still didn’t get in. As soon as they heard me and my friend speak English they looked at each other and said no to my friend. All the girls entering was wearing trainers and hoodies and looked underage. I don’t know if this was because we were foreigners but for a club this is very disrespectful. We are humble nice girls wanting to have fun with the locals however the bouncers were so rude. Wir feierten dort unsere Weihnachtsfeier. Ich muss nun sagen, es hat unseren Erwartungen weitgehend übertroffen. Das Restaurant dort war richtig edel, leckeres Essen, tolles Programm, super nettes Personal alles in eins, einer sehr gelungenes Atmosphäre. Das Diskothek befindet sich so Zusagen in einer überdachtes Zelt, wenn ich das so sagen darf. Aber auch, sehr edel und hochwertig gestaltet. Die Temperatur war schon ziemlich kühl, was uns nicht so zugesagt hat dort zu bleiben. Wir waren schon ein bisschen überrascht, deswegen. Aber, das wissen wir jetzt und werden nächstes mal in Rechnung nehmen. 😊 Schade, dass das Diskothek auch erst um 02:00 Uhr anfängt, das war uns auch nicht bekannt. Hatten erlich gesagt, schok bekommen. ☺️☺️☺️ ( Wir waren seit 3 Uhr morgens schon auf die Beinen, da wir in dem Tag aus Frankfurt nach Lissabon geflogen sind und den ganzen Tag unterwegs in Lissabon waren). If you want to be assaulted by the security this is the PLACE TO GO. Went as part of a tour, and was given a ticket which the bartender kept (lied about it) and when we went to leave two bouncers grabbed and dragged my wife across the bar. We have spent the last hour and a half in the police station filling a report and will be pressing chargers. I was extorted to pay 3 times the amount of the ticket while security was grabbing my wife (she has the bruises to prove it) just to leave. While we loved Lisbon this was the worst experience of our life. Please go anywhere but here simply to keep your loved ones safe. At the police station they said that they recognized the names of the bouncers as well so that tells you everything you need to know. If negative stars were an option I would rate it as such.

I have traveled a lot in the world and been to every possible club from the US to the Middle East and all of Europe, I have never been in a club as bad as this !!! regarding the treatment from a security guard who apparently came from Brazil's pavilions probably also an immigrant. I have three clubs, two in Israel and one in Mexico and I always emphasize service from the security guards as well, I would have fired this security guard a long time ago is a loss to the club and not profitable. By the way I think the club pays for positive comments here because it’s not authentic so be ware. Go wherever to any possible other place just not to this place , save your money !! In the past I was associated with the representation of the Israeli Embassy in Portugal and with my connections I will take care of a travel warning to this club and chain to all the embassies as possible !!!!!! If I could not put a rating on that I would do it to!!!! This is my opinion and my recommendation. To build reputation it’s taken years but to destroy this it’s take just one minute !

I cannot give 0 stars for this place just because maps do not allow it. This is one of the most beautiful club in Lisbon, but at the same time managed terribly, expecially the queues and the impact that employee, in particular bodyguards, have with people. The smell of racism is something disgusting, if you are not from Portuguese prices are random, probably based on sensation or spread. It never happen that the expected prices matched the reality. If you have some "knowledge" you enter for free or paying less, but if you are tourist of course is not the case. If you are in Lisbon and you are looking for a club, please do not go there, never. I would never suggest this club, even if the location is sensational. Finally, there are thousands negative reviews that confirm my bad experience. 0 stars!

All of the bad reviews I saw to be true. I have never seen such discrimination and aggressive bouncers. I had been to lust a couple years ago and it was fine. I don’t know what changed but they were extremely disrespectful and made a bunch of lines to separate people that fit certain criteria. There are other big clubs in Lisbon that you would be way better off going to.

Racist and rude security boys. One of them hit me simply for asking why they did not want to let me in. My friends at that point called the police, and the guard who had hit me, when the police arrived, winked at me insinuating that they wouldn't do anything to him and indeed, unfortunately, they did: the complaint was written to 'unknown'. They change prices as it suits them without explanation. Place absolutely to be closed and staff to be left out of work, in my opinion.

Watch out! They will make you pay your card at the cashier and then the bouncer will take your card and tell you that you haven’t handed in your card and have to pay the fine of 150€ (for losing your card). Will never go there again- huge rip off. Always go to K Urban instead of this club!!

It is not clear why to the Portugueses and Brazilians they ask for a maximum of 15 euros to enter, while foreigners are asked for 30 euros. This difference in treatment does not do justice to a country like Portugal that has always been welcoming and hospitable with foreigners!!! This place is not a good publicity for Lisbon!!!

Don’t mind bad reviews, club is good spacious with great international music. Smoking is allowed inside (might be disadvantage for some people, but not for those who party). Security is kind and understanding (despite lacking some English proficiency).

They force you to spend 25 Euro for nasty drinks for which you have to queue (they only have one bar because why would you have two in the club). Gave 1 star because I couldn’t give 0. Racist customers who police you and your behaviour if you are not white. They definitely invade boundaries, touch you, and try to aggressively control you, which just reveals them watching you from the moment you walk in. Rude, racist, disrespectful staff. The women who work there have a superiority complex towards other women and they create a horrible environment for you if you don’t fit the standards (which are portuguese and white people). Went out o Sunday 26/05/2019 and you would believe that in a country as beautiful as portugal and in this age those hostilities would be thing of the past, it is not, at Lust In Rio is alive and kicking. My advice keep away from that place and go spend your money somewhere else

Tried to go there with a couple of my friends, got past one bouncer, got to the last one and he simply said that us going into their establishment “is not gonna be possible” and sent us off with no explanation when I tried to ask for a reason. We were dressed appropriately, waited in line, had the money and every other thing that you can think of, when we asked the first bouncer that let us through what the reason might’ve been as to why we weren’t let in he simply said “the ‘boss’ (referring to the second bouncer) only lets through who he FEELS like letting through”… seems shady to me.

Bouncers and employees are as unprofessional and coarse as one can come across! In that regard, what surprised me more was the fact that multiple foreign people that night that I'd talk to had have negative experiences either it being discrimination or "just" rudeness! The problem it's not the place it's some of the people working on it! To top it off, they refused to present the official complaints book when asked to, something required by law, but the bouncer as soon as he heard of it "walked me off", so the only option I got left was calling the police, something I should have done at the time but ended up not doing in order to not end the night of the group I was in handling this sort of unpleasant situation! On the side note, the employee's name was Carolina Félix not so much luck getting the bouncer's, but he's easily identifiable!

We went to the club on a Wednesday and they apparently had sold out the coat storage. The workers there were very rude and kept yelling at us for no reason at all, without telling us what the issue was. I get that working in a club can be stressful and drunken people are hard to work with, but it was in no way necessary. Also I agree with the other comments about scamming and singling out tourist and people who don’t “fit” the clubs aesthetic. Especially the female workers take issue with the girls in the club. Awful experience!! Had come with with a friend, saw some people in line that we had met earlier, I assume the bouncer believed that we cut in line and by the time we got to the front, they told us it was a private party and that we couldn’t get in. We explained that we knew the guys they just let in and they did not hear it. We walked around and saw some men in a booth who asked us if we wanted to join, even they could not get us in to the “private” entrance. Classist if you ask me.

Worst club I have ever been to. Security guards have no sense of humanity, I feel like they’re using the job to take it out on their guests. High entrance price, high consumption price. Bar staff doesn’t have a clue what they are doing. Minimum wait for your drink is 30 minutes, if not longer. Most disgusting toilets I’ve ever seen, the smell so horrible you start to question to just pee in your pants. This place is a nightmare. There are no places/ tables to sit for people on next to the dance floor, I ended up killing my expensive shoes, because I had to stand all night and walk past cracked plastic glasses or sit on the floor in the bathroom. I payed my money and just wanted to dance and have a good time, but I never got what I wanted! And at the dancefloor anyone can grab you. I had nowhere to hide from the predators. This is terrible. They charge 500€ for a VIP zone, and the club is not luxurious. The VIP zone is the only place where you can actually sit and smoke shisha. And you can only get there if you are a sort of escort. The music is terrible. The playlist, the DJ skills and an overall atmosphere are pathetic. African and American music that you heard 100 times before. Nothing fresh. Like if we are in 2010. I had the worst ever party experience in my life. I never knew that you can spoil something as simple as a disco club up so bad. And the worst is that this place had no vibe at all. I have never been that disappointed, never felt this uncomfortable and unsafe after visiting a nightclub. It should be the opposite. The owners should care about this.

CAUTION! Don’t go! Worse night club’s experience! I recently visited Lust in rio and was unfortunately disappointed with my experience. The service was lackluster, with slow RUDE disinterested staff. I encountered multiple instances of unprofessional behavior from employees, which left a negative impression. Overall, the combination of poor service, employee behavior, and security concerns greatly impacted my enjoyment of the night club.

Do NOT bother with your time here... worst place i ever been too and the staff is worse than non-experienced workers. I would’ve rather give this place no stars than to give 1 star. They mix their Alcohol . Ordered Patron just shot , saw them pour it from right bottle, but what I got was 100% not Patron. If maybe I wouldn’t have been more drunk I wouldn’t notice, but was completely sober and I know my tequila. And security at door, it’s really rude. Sad because club and music was amazing tho.

Had a great time here! I was fully outside the whole time, felt great compared to stuffy, packed clubs! Amazing music and show to go along with it! Pretty touristy, but also has a good share of locals! Drinks and entrance are pretty pricey, so try to get there relatively early to get your money worth! One of my favorites in Lisbon!

Racist club! We were 3 black girls waiting in the queue line and they didn’t even bother to come to us and ask for the reservation or anything. We then asked them and they said only on reservation without even asking us if we had a reservation. We know it’s a lie because there was 4 white guys before us and they said 40€ for 4 people and those guys paid and got inside without any reservation. We asked then another white girl and she said she didn’t have a reservation, she went after us to do the queue and she got inside easily! This is unbelievable in 2023!

Disappointing place. My friend was attacked by a bunch dudes unprovoked, and management/security did not care to address the situation, doesn’t even matter if you paid extra for vip section. The worst club I have been to in my life, avoid this place like the plague. The make you fill a card to a minimum spend of 25 euro and they physically will not allow you to leave if you do not pay this money. It is impossible to keep track of how much you have added to the card and they refuse to tell you until you try toleave and it is much more than than 25. When asked to explain they are rude and verbally abusive and have the bouncers physically intimate you into paying and then push you out the door. Police were present outside this club but refused to pay any notice to the shandy business going on inside so for us it was obvious that they are also part of the absolute Scam that this excuse of a nightclub is. I wouldn't recommend this place to my worst enemy. AVOID!!!

They open a second line if they find out there's internationals in the line and charge them a double entry fee. Guards are rude, the music is horrendous and a graveyard would need to have a bad day in order to match the atmosphere over there. Find something else for your own sake

Me and my two friends were surprised how fast we could get in although there was a big queue. Although we weren’t Portuguese we got in but it was a bit expensive (20 euros for girls and 30 euros for guys) for just one floor and way too much people. The dj was not really the best and the drinks were very small. We saw some people having fights but didn’t get involved. It looked like they let 12 year old boys in but maybe they just looked pretty young. They didn’t check our IDs tho. I met a very nice girl from the bar who helped me out with the atm for cigarettes. Thanks a lot again for that. I wouldn’t recommend a visit.

Don‘t bother if you‘re dark skinned. we were in the guest list and they wanted us to consume for 5k! white people got in with no problems and as soon as we came apparently the minimum consumtion was at 5000€. generally i think portugal is a racist county and supporting their tourism is really not worth it. even the white guests we talked with said, noone of them would spend 5k their, regardless they got in.

The worst club I've ever been. Very impolite staff, and way too expensive. They use some sort of system to let you pay afterwards but it doesn't make sense and you just get scammed. For the rest it's a nice club

We prepaid 30€ for the entrance (DO NOT TAKE THE PAY AT THE EXIT CARD) and they gave us a band we couldn't lose to go out. 3 small drinks were included in the price. The vibe inside was good. AMAZING place for fun dinner vibes and transition into the nightlcub!! I worked with Arshad to have bottle service sent over there for my fiancé’s bachelorette party group and he made it happen! Awesome guy, very helpful and cares for you to have a good time. My fiancé and her girls said the food was really good and the club at night was so much fun, highly recommend this place! Nightclub was open until 6:00 AM, and they played really good music, definitely get bottle service for a great experience!
