I
recently
had
the
unfortunate
opportunity
to
visit
Musicbox
in
Lisboa,
and
I
must
say,
it
was
an
absolute
nightmare
from
start
to
finish.
I
wouldn't
wish
this
place
upon
my
worst
enemy.
Allow
me
to
elaborate
on
the
numerous
reasons
why
my
visit
to
Musicbox
was
a
complete
disaster.
First
and
foremost,
the
doorman
and
doorlady
at
this
establishment
were
astonishingly
rude
and
biased.
It
felt
as
though
they
derived
immense
pleasure
from
exerting
their
power
over
innocent
patrons.
Their
demeanor
was
unwelcoming
and
abrasive,
leaving
a
sour
taste
in
my
mouth
before
I
even
set
foot
inside.
Speaking
of
which,
the
interior
of
Musicbox
is
nothing
short
of
a
claustrophobic
nightmare.
The
space
is
small
and
ridiculously
crowded,
making
it
impossible
to
move
around
without
constantly
bumping
into
fellow
unfortunate
souls
who
made
the
mistake
of
entering.
If
you
value
personal
space
or
dislike
being
uncomfortably
close
to
sweaty
strangers,
then
Musicbox
is
your
worst
nightmare
come
true.
Furthermore,
the
atmosphere
inside
the
venue
was
utterly
disappointing.
The
dim
lighting
did
nothing
to
mask
the
sense
of
suffocation
one
feels
in
such
cramped
quarters.
The
combination
of
poor
ventilation
and
overwhelming
body
heat
emitted
by
the
tightly
packed
crowd
made
it
feel
like
I
was
trapped
in
a
sauna
of
bad
taste
and
awful
decisions.
To
add
insult
to
injury,
the
sound
quality
at
Musicbox
was
abysmal.
The
music
was
so
distorted
and
muffled
that
I
found
myself
questioning
if
there
was
actually
a
talented
artist
performing
on
stage
or
a
cacophony
of
noise
emanating
from
some
broken
speakers.
It
was
impossible
to
fully
enjoy
any
performance
in
this
dreadful
sonic
mess.
If
you
have
any
semblance
of
self-respect
or
value
your
sanity,
I
implore
you
to
steer
clear
of
Musicbox.
This
place
is
a
breeding
ground
for
hostility,
discomfort,
and
disappointment.
I
can
only
hope
that
the
owners
and
staff
at
Musicbox
take
the
time
to
reflect
on
their
abysmal
treatment
of
patrons
and
make
drastic
improvements
before
it's
too
late.
In
conclusion,
Musicbox
in
Lisboa
is
an
establishment
that
should
be
avoided
at
all
costs.
The
unfriendly
doorman
and
doorlady,
cramped
and
crowded
interior,
lackluster
atmosphere,
and
abysmal
sound
quality
all
contribute
to
an
overall
experience
that
is
nothing
short
of
torturous.
Save
yourself
the
agony
and
seek
entertainment
elsewhere.
