St. Vitus Cathedral is in my opinion one of the most gorgeous Cathedral around the world. Hardly to find a word to describe the impression I always have when enter into this Cathedral which is huge inside and that you can walk half hour there or spend an hour there. This means I recommend to purchase ticket get in. Not only visit the Cathedral from the entry hall of the Cathedral, but take a walk and gain most of this beautiful Cathedral which is also nice to see outside. This Cathedral is large and siting in the Prague Castle Court rooms, and because the size of Cathedral is cross all patios of the Prague Castle. Particularly from courtroom three (patio 3) is nice view same as from the High from the Great south tower.

Stunning piece of history maintained to perfection. Architecture of this building is absolutely amazing. The stained glass windows are exquisite. Come early in the morning to avoid crowds. It’s the prominent example of Gothic architecture. It is also the eternal resting place of several kings and several patron saints. This amazing building can’t take your eyes from each piece of history. A must place to see, lot of history involved 👍👍👍 photos will not do justice to this architecture.

(Translated by Google) One of the SIGNATURE sights of old Prague. Indeed, from the outside it amazes with its architectural delights, however ... only after entering the interior, you truly appreciate the colossal nature of the Cathedral, its monumentality, inviolability, and authenticity. It captures the spirit. While in Prague, you simply must visit the St. Vitus Cathedral. Unforgettable impressions and beautiful photos for your collection are guaranteed. This is a significant place, as I said at the very beginning. I wish you pleasant experiences !!!

Breathtaking stained glass that makes the room colorful. Beautiful tombs to some of the worlds most famous and prosperous religious figures and saints, decorated with silver and gold. HOWEVER, there is very little information to be read about the attractions within. There is a paragraph of information for every 3-5 attractions which leaves you wondering about the significance behind a lot. Even without a ticket you can roam around the entrance of the church, but won’t have access to around 70% of it, which mostly includes the main attractions within the church itself. Make sure to get the family pass if you can for your group, as you will save good money. Don’t purchase the ticket entrance just to go visit the church, as it is a relatively high ask and not worth it on its own, instead use it to gain entrance into the other attractions nearby. Please feel free to look at the images I attached! I hope you enjoy!

the cathedral located in the courtyard of the citadel of prague, can only be visited with a ticket, it is included in the basic ticket which includes part of the castle, golden street and the cathedral. it is spectacular in size and details and full of stories about emperors, kings, coronations, saints. it can be seen from any corner of Prague and sits on the hill of the fortress looking over the city. I recommend visiting it both outside and inside.

Absolutely worth the lines and ticket cost to get inside for self guided tour. They had a ticket that got you access to 5 different cites and a map to guide you. The cathedral had the most breathtaking stained glass I’ve ever seen. You must go inside and see it all. Stunning. The audio tour devices were sold out for the day so go early if you’d like to do that. You buy tickets just across the square from the front doors.

Immense, imposing, emotive, Grand, so much to see. Give yourself at least 60mins to see the Cathedral properly. Mobile phone photos are allowed. Be sure to look up, down, behind and everywhere. This is truly one of the gems of our world.

As well as visiting Prague and not seeing the Cathedral of St. Vitus. (Original) Уникальное архитектурное сооружение. Со смотровой площадки открывается потрясающий вид на Прагу. The Cathedral sits in the centre of the Castle complex and is visible from all around the area. Very beautiful outside and inside. You can enter the cathedral for free, but there is a large area accessible only by ticket. There is a separate ticket for entry to the cathedral tower. Both are worth visiting. From the tower you can have a wonderful panoramic view of the city. Keep in mind to reach the top of the tower you need to go up 287 steps. It can be a bit claustrophobic.

An amazing cathedral with a very soothing ambiance. It’s a shame that you have to pay to go deep inside, it is a place of worship and not a museum. Everyone should be allowed to explore the cathedral fully. The last admission is at 16.40. So don’t trust the Google Maps time schedule. It’s a steep climb, I suggest taking a tram that goes up to both save time and energy. The views of Prague from outside are breathtaking.

It's an incredibly beautiful building. You can feel the energy inside, it's true there are a lot of tourists. The vintage windows give a beautiful light inside, although half of this building is fake as most of it has been destroyed. I advise you to definitely visit.

Surely one of the best Cathedrals I've ever seen. Immense, impressive, huge. The Gothic style that characterizes the building is truly amazing and the interiors are even better. Loved the rose windows and the pinnacles. Take your time to properly visit the Cathedral in all its entirety because it's really worthwhile.

(Translated by Google) St. Vitus Cathedral is the dominant feature of Prague Castle. It was built intermittently for about 600 years and is rightfully considered the most popular tourist attraction in Prague. On the stunning beauty of the Gothic facade of the basilica, you can see sculptures of monsters - chimeras, demons and gargoyles, which are also drainpipes. The chapel dedicated to St. Wenceslas houses the Royal Treasury, which houses a golden crown adorned with precious stones, a scepter, orb, a ring and a sword. The cathedral is adorned with sumptuous stained-glass windows that create ornate lighting. It is definitely worth standing in line for tickets and carefully examining everything.

What an amazing cathedral! The view from up the hill over the city of Prague is superb! The cathedral is well maintained and the offer of tours is more then plenty. The inside of the cathedral looks amazing! I absolutely love these structures. To bad you can not walk around the whole sub level of the cathedral without buying an extra ticket for that. The square next to the cathedral, offers some nice spots to take a rest and enjoy the ambiance of the place. Definitely worth the walk up there from the old town city center.

The Cathedral is inside the Prague Castel. Although there was a huge Que to get in it was worth the wait. The Cathedral is very beautiful inside and the glass windows are fantastic to view. Overall a great walk through the Cathedral.

Absolutely beautiful, both inside and outside. You need to buy ticket to get in, you also need to pay for using the bathroom. Definitely worth 5 stars in terms of its view. Have to remove one because it was extremely crowded, even inside the Cathedral. There should be some sort of crowd control

(Translated by Google) Even before the construction of St. Vitus Cathedral began, there was a small, round church in its place. The construction of the cathedral began in the XIV century, and the construction was completed only at the beginning of the XX. Today, the building is considered the longest "long-term construction" of buildings in Europe, along with the cathedral in Cologne. In the main part of the cathedral, above the altar, you can see a gallery of sculptures from the founders of the church and its first builders. There are no analogous monuments in the medieval art of Europe. The rich library of the cathedral contains many medieval manuscripts, such as, for example, the Gospel written in the second half of the 11th century. Vitus Cathedral is also famous for its organ - almost the best in Europe, so if you have the opportunity, be sure to visit the organ music concerts taking place in the church. They also say that it is impossible to get used to the sight of the cathedral no matter how much you come here, its grandeur delights, the Gothic elements are frightening, and the beauty is amazing.

If you visit St. Vitus Cathedral, I would strongly recommend you to pay 80KC to climb on the South Tower. After 287 narrow steps, you will realize how much it worths. It has the BEST view of the Prague!

Simply impressive. The scale of the cathedral is daunting (makes you feel tiny) and the stained glasses are very colorful and lovely. Make sure to get the combo ticket (that includes objective "VIII" - the cathedral) in order to be able to get in all the way back and not just at the entrance. It is wonderfully decorated in the back. Also, get the tower ticket (entrance to objective "X" - cathedral tower) to climb the 278 steps up in a dizzying spiral staircase (with no pit stop and used for both climbing up and down the same way). It sounds horror, but you eventually make it and it's definitely worth it. The view from up the tower is a worthy reward.

Astonishingly beautiful cathedral with so many colourful windows. The ticket also allows you to enter the old royal palace plus other things. Beware that to climb the tower of the cathedral you must buy a separate tower entrance ticket. However, the view from there is great, allowing you to see basically all of Prague.

St. Vitus Cathedral is a stunning Gothic cathedral located in the heart of Prague, Czech Republic. It is a very popular tourist destination and is known for its beautiful stained glass windows, intricate sculptures, and breathtaking architecture. Visitors often praise its grandeur and the sense of awe it inspires. If you have the chance to visit Prague, I would definitely recommend checking it out!

Beautiful cathedral with some of the most intricate art I’ve seen. The stained glass paintings and suspended statues in the church are incredible. The gothic architecture is worth seeing. The grounds of the palace open at 6am but you can only enter the cathedral starting at 9am. I’d recommend going early to beat the crowds. There are bathrooms here but you need coins to use them. There is a machine near the ticket counter that lets you exchange notes for coins.

This cathedral is breathtaking. Situated on top of a hill, you need to put some effort to arrive here but it is totally worth. Impressive from outside and inside , you can take some time to admire its beauty from the benches inside the yard behind it. In case you want to get in, you can do it for free, but only in a limited area. A ticket is required if you want to explore it all.

Impressive place with a long and rich history, the cathedral made a lasting impression on me. Worth every cent spent on entrance fees. The grandeur, the stained-glass windows, the chapels, the stories. Lighting a candle, inviting in good energies and peace upon our beloved ones, family and friends rounded up the visit. If you ever visit Prague and its majestic castle, you definitely have to take the tour of the cathedral as well.

This is the building that you see from all around Prague when looking towards the Prague Castle. The cathedral itself is quite large and we had to walk around it to get to the entrance. The large square by the South Tower was really nice for taking photos and admiring the amazing carvings all around the church. The vaults and spires were really eye catching. I thought that the door by the tower was more interesting than the main entrance. We didn't go inside the cathedral though because of lines to the tickets so we just enjoyed the view from the outside. I thought it was still worth the visit since the entry into the castle is free.

I had visited the cathedral in 2015. Very beautiful building, I recommend going in the morning as there are less people, so more space to roam around. There are catacombs with buried Czech kings and a climbable tower which though can be challenging for some to climb but is definitely worth the view. Highly recommend it! It's near to the Prague castle and also the view of Prague city from here is amazing !

The church is magnificent both in architectural style and strategic location. It is within the Prague Castle complex where you can explore and admire the remarkable and rich history of the city. The exterior is beautiful and the interior is even more exquisite with intricate designs. Keep your ticket because you will need it to enter the different attractions within the complex. Close to the area also, is a viewing platform for a nice panoramic view of Prague.

You can take the tram to the Pražský hrad tram stop. It will be very easy to walk over. Otherwise, there are too many places to walk in Prague. Don't use up your energy here. Massive cathedral with extraordinary detail. It is just mind blowing that people actually managed to build such thing. It’s so complex and enormous! Truly mesmerising. (Translated by Google) Perhaps the reason for visiting Prague Castle is to see this cathedral. Of course, it is crowded with many tourists. In particular, package travelers are crowded with guides, which greatly disturbs individual visitors. It is so popular that all tourists visiting Prague can visit it. It is well worth leaving for its history and for its greatness and delicacy. If possible, arrive 30 minutes before opening time so that you can pass through the checkpoint quickly. You can buy tickets right away and watch when there are few people. Beautiful, impressive cathedral undergoing some slight renovation at time of posted. Note that you can't just visit the cathedral on its own - you have to buy a Prague Castle tour ticket to gain entry. But apparently if you attend mass on Sunday, you can be granted access free of charge as a worshipper. Now is the time to visit! Covid means tourist crowds look to be 80% down on what I've previously seen at this time of year.

This place is incredible. You can enter parts for free, but if you get the ticket for the whole castle area, the experience is amazing. It's massive. The detail in the building architecture , the windows and the paintings is fantastic. There are some signs in English so it's still very informative for non czech speakers. If you like ancient buildings, admiring the work needed and being awe inspired you should visit if in Prague. One of our highlights of the trip. The view from the top is spectacular, but be prepared for nearly 300 steps up. It does cost extra. Glad I paid. Didn't take a lot of pictures within, it felt disrespectful, and I'm a devout aethiest.

Awesome! Wonderful stained glass, rich ornaments, stone lace. To visit it in detail, you must buy a ticket (which also includes other sights in Prague Castle). Otherwise, you can enter for free, but only in a restricted area, near the entrance. Also, to climb the tower you must take a separate ticket.

9th of October 2021. Group of 2. The cathedral of Saint Vito is a majestic architecture’s temple inside the castle of Prague. It’s the must-visit-monument of the city. Notice: Be careful with the itinerary, since the last allowed entrance is at 16:40 and not at 17:00. PS: You can take the tram 22 to go the castle, because the road is uphill-steep enough.

St. Vitus Cathedral is a must visit while in Prague. Located within the Prague Castle grounds, a ticket is required to enter anything more than the foyer of the Cathedral. I recommend getting the ticket to visit everything within the castle grounds. Be sure to get a photography permit so you can take all the pictures that you want.

Beautiful place. Large area with parks and views where you can easily spend several hours. Entry is free, there is only a security check post. Note that there is plenty of hill climbing involved. The cathedral itself looks like other large churches from the inside but it is nice. Unfortunately 99% tourists, not much actual use from what I could see.

St. Vitus Cathedral is the largest and the most important temple in Prague. Apart from religious services, coronations of Czech kings and queens also took place here. The cathedral is a place of burial of several patron saints, sovereigns, noblemen and archbishops. This cathedral is a prominent example of Gothic architecture, and is the largest and most important church in the country. Located within Prague Castle and containing the tombs of many Bohemian kings, and Holy Roman Emperors. the cathedral is under the ownership of the Czech government as part of the Prague Castle complex.

St. Vitus Cathedral is a prominent Gothic-style cathedral located within Prague Castle in the Czech Republic. It is the largest and most important church in the country and serves as the seat of the Archbishop of Prague. Construction of the cathedral began in 1344 and, while most of the structure was completed in the 14th century, it underwent various stages of construction and renovation over the centuries. St. Vitus Cathedral is renowned for its stunning architecture, beautiful stained glass windows, and its significance in Czech history and culture.

FYI: BRING COINS FOR THE BATHROOMS!!! Prague Castle, St Vitus Cathedral!!! 💃🏾 💃🏾 💃🏾 Prague is stunning. You need all day long to visit the castle. It is free to go to the castle. However, you must purchase tickets to see more things. With no tickets you need all day long. While visiting the castle, around every corner was a photo opportunity. I felt like I was in James Bond movie. With each step, the castle became more grande. There are multiple cafés for snacks and coffee. The views were amazing around the castle. The guards were Regal and poised. There was a peacock walking around the grounds. Most of the walking trails are cobblestones, bring your good pair of walking shoes. I would definitely go to the castle multiple times.

Sant Vitus Cathedral is an incredibly beautiful building located on top of a mountain with a great view of Prague city. There is free access to almost the entire area, but there are some areas you have to pay to see. Here, beautiful architecture, a clean area and a cozy atmosphere. There are good toilet facilities here and the area is handicap friendly. It's all within walking distance of the old town, so public transport isn't necessary, although it's available for cheap. This place is a must visit if you are visiting Prague. 5 stars from us. ☀️☀️☀️☀️☀️

This is a beautiful cathedral that literally towers above the city. You can walk right up to the front but you'll need a ticket to enter. As of October 2023 you can buy a basic entry ticket for 250 czk. It's totally worth that price! You'll enter and be guided through the Cathedral by a roped off section. Grab a brochure about the stained glass windows from any ticket office before you enter.

An absolutely breathtaking building. The imposing St. Vitus is THE silhouette of Prague Castle one sees from Charles Bridge. As the only piece of Gothic architecture in the castle, it really stands in contrast to the rest of the area. It's packed with tourists in the day, but visit in the night and it's absolutely still and quiet save for the guards on patrol. In the moonlight and highlightes by lamps, the facade is even more magnificent.

The queue to get into the Cathedral is huge but don't let that put you off as it moves very quickly. Inside it is fascinating and educational, this was an enjoyable way to spend half an hour or so. At the side of the Cathedral is another entrance where you pay to go to the top of the lookout tower which for me was the best.
