A historical monument in the district of Penampang. The church has stood the test of time through arduous conditions and still is a beacon of hope. Weddings are common here as the interior of the church is exquisite. Parking is quite packed on top of the Church but there is still space below it. The residing priest here is very friendly, any troubles whether spiritual, physical or mental; they would lend a helping hand.

St. Michael’s Church is a Roman Catholicchurch in Donggongon, a town in the district of Penampang in the Malaysian state of Sabah. It is the oldest church in the district of Penampang and the second oldest stone church in Sabah, after St. Michael’s and All Angels Church in Sandakan.

Lovely old church, the oldest stone church on the West Coast of Sabah. Peaceful ambience and beautifully maintained interior. Definitely worth a visit.

Just wonderful and breath taking. Unique in its bulding materials and the location that it is. Top of the hill I should say. The interior was a sight to behold. Deserves a 5 star from me.

A very old church refurbished very well internally while retaining its original structure & appearance. There's a Saints Cafe too, which serves good food & beverages.

Historical and wonderful church. Went for my friend's wedding matrimony. Love the interior design along with the soothing incandescent lighting. The mural illustration was nice as well especially on the top entrance ceilling wall. Mass proceeded well accordingly. The environment outside was nice with some mountain view and drizzle during this time. Parking quite spacious however can be very busy during mass as it is only one way in and out.
