Amazing location, world class. I have been to many places around the globe and the conditions here are absolutely perfect. The lodge itself is very well kept and wildlife all around. The way to get to Babaomby Island Lodge was a lot easier than we thought.

(Translated by Google) A heavenly and exotic place, responding well to the name of ecolodge. With a team that listens and takes great care, both in terms of cooking and water activities. (Original) Un endroit paradisiaque et dépaysant, répondant bien à l'appellation d'écolodge. Avec une équipe à l'écoute et aux petits soins, tant côté cuisine que concernant les activités nautiques.

If you are looking for remote it is the right place to go to. Nevertheless everything is taken care of ... food is delicious, stuff very friendly, shared toilets and tents clean and as of kitesurf there is always someone to help you on the beach. Usually that some one is Franco, always there ... you start to wonder if he has a twin brother ... I had some exotic ideas but Nicolas was very helpful and managed to organize things despite me asking the last minute. I was renting the kiteusurf equipment, mostly "f-one" which was all in very good condition if not brand new. The sea in the lagun is overall very choppy, but you can find also some flat spots, just ask Angelo, Abdul, Jean ... In the end of April it was beggining of the wind season and you acctually needed kites from 7m2 to 13m2 ... At the time of my staying there were some issues with WiFi, but they did fix it to usable state. Of course I expect that it will run smoothly the next time I visit :) Overall it was a very pleasent experiance and I am looking forward to come back. Maybe few things that I find usefull to know before going to Emeraud sea: 1. if you want to buy local SIM card, only "Telma" mobile operator had signal strong enough to have a usable connection. 2. sun is very strong, bring factor 50 that does not wash-off or long lycra for arms and legs ... especially if you skin is a yougurt alike. To bring aftersun lotion is not bad idea either. You have alternative in local aloevera ... 3. it is good to have drybag for electronic equipment (camera, phone ...) for those boat trips. They do cover bags with water resistant sheet, but for the peace of mind ...

A magic location, a special experience because you live in wild nature with all the confort you need. Food is excellent, people are available and able to answer any need, in a very kind way, with great pleasure to meet and satisfy any request. A place that remains in your heart and in your eyes.

Absolutely amazing kite spot, beautiful, vast, steady winds, great rental gear. Very friendly team, well organized, good food. Relaxing tents in the middle of trees and lemurs, with the sound of the waves. In short, we'll be back!! Philipp Cottier, Switzerland

I booked the entire venue for a work retreat for nature conservationists and we had an amazing week at Babaomby. Nicolas and the staff were extremely accommodating. I went back on my own for a personal holiday and made the most of one of the hottest kite surfs spots I've ever been to. The hotel has a very cosy set up where I quickly got to know everyone staying there. Can't wait to go back with a bigger group of friends to kite kite and kite.

J'ai passé une dizaine des jours. Je n'avais jamais fait de kite avant. Avec un accompagnement au top et du matériel récent, j'ai tirer des bords en fin de séjour et profiter du plan d'eau extraordinaire. J'y retourne dès que je peux !

(Translated by Google) An idyllic place! A preserved spot offering a playground for all tastes: slalom and wave All shades of blue are present with a good dose of shimmering emerald. The position of the eco-lodge away from the bay of Diego protects it from too much human frequentation for the pleasure of preserved fauna. Abundant fish, turtles and the top: lemurs who may come to greet you in the morning when you leave your tent! Cuisine: Grouper tartare, octopus, zebu, yam/taro, Equipment: wide and recent range to satisfy all tastes Careful instructors and expert advice. In case of calm (calm wind stats): kayaking, paddle, snokeling and hiking possible. Logistics: Visit at the end of May: Ethiopian AirLines > Stopover in Addis (3h) > Arrival at TANA (common name given to the capital) > the next morning > 2h internal flight to DiegoSuarez > 45 min boat to reach the ecolodge. In TANA, 2 very close airports (14min walk) distinctly share international / local flights. PCR certificate 72 hours before + flash test on arrival at TANA (15€) + Visa (n€). Check the current restrictions. (Original) Un lieu idyllique ! One of the best kitesurfing locations during the March - November season. This is now my 9th summer at Babaomby and a consistent, high quality of wind and waves is guaranteed. Even after C19, Babaomby has maintained its unique vibe: friendly staff, fresh food, communal atmosphere and all the other essentials needed for a relaxed vacation. Some advice: bring small kites/sails!

Most amayzing kitesurfing spot I've ever visited ( & I was in Srilanka, Greece, Canarians, Brazil, Morocco, Portugal) Very warm welcoming from locals including the very friendly boss Nicolas who is also a great gardener and nature lover. He planted many trees here on this little remote piece of land on the very wild and untouched north of Madagascar. Pristin waters, lobsters, fish, sun, wind, fly spot and wave spot as well as beginner spot. STEADY WIND. Best to come with a 5, 7, 9 m2. Good job to Nicola and his team ! Also for protecting the wonderful Makis (lémuriens).

Recommend!! Couldn’t be better. The view, the sea, the food, the people and of course... the star of the show: lemurs! Oh yes, and I hear the kitesurfing is tre tre bien!!

Absolutely beautiful kitesurfing spot and ecolodge. The most consistent wind we've ever come across, a great choice of spots (big waves, small waves, flat) and brand new equipment. Lovely food (you won't go hungry) and stellar team (Angelo and Jean especially on the beach). Will be back!

This year was my seventh trip despite a very long journey to get there. Hadn't traveled since COVID, so his year, after a 4 year interruption, was even more special. The place is still magic and offers a total disconnection from our hectic and stressful usual routine. WIndsurfing is great because the wind stats are just unbelievable and the conditions change with the tide coefficients, so it's very dynamic and I never get bored. Wave riding or flat sailing is almost Ă  la carte. The food is generous and super decent. It's an ecolodge that is looking more and more like an oasis and the great staff is almost like family to me now.
