Had the lamb kebab kathi roll, chicken tikka kathi roll, papdi chaat, mango lassi, and pistachio cardamom soft serve. Everything was delicious, and the food came out fast. Upon first glance the rolls look too small but they’re the perfect portion size for trying the other side dish options and not being too full. The lamb was wonderfully spiced, the chicken roll was flavorful and had a slight kick, the papdi chaat was refreshing and a great combo of textures, and the soft serve was awesome. It had a really unique flavor. The mango lassi was good but it was super thick and I think I like it a little thinner in consistency; just a personal preference. The shop is small but there are at least four smaller tables if you feel like dining in. I’ll be back!

I usually don't eat out for Indian food because a lot of places end up being too heavy. Plus, I'm lucky enough (read: spoiled) to get amazing home cooking on the regular. But Spice Waala is my exception. When my mom was in town, I bought the papdi chaat and aloo chaat and as soon as my mom caught a wiff of it, she was making chai to make sure we did it the whole thing right. It was a hit with her and my sister. Last visit I got the chicken tikka kathi roll which was juicy and so flavorful. Perfect amount of kick. But what I love most is that everything feels light and I don't feel weighed down. The soft servie (coffee/cocoa this time, changes monthly) was delicious. They are also becoming my go to spot to buy chutneys. I just got the imli (tamarind/cilantro chutney) and it is heavenly. I'm finding any excuse to put it on everything. This alone makes me want to up my samosa game 😂

This place never fails! We have been fans of Spice Waala's Cap Hill location since they've opened and it's been so great to see the owner's dream blossom into a booming restaurant with two locations. BONUS, they now have soft serve! The flavor at our location was Fennel. This place is a great spot for a quick lunch or dinner that spices things up! We ordered 4 rolls and a snack, and it was ready in five minutes. They pack the rolls tightly in aluminum foil and pack ingredients of the chaat separately so nothing spills and everything is warm upon arrival home. I had a cold and the bursts of flavors opened my senses! It's definitely on the spicy side and not for the faint of heart!! Usually 2 rolls or 1 roll & chaat is very filling for one person for a great price. The best part of this restaurant is that not only are they making good food, they are serving the company. One of the co-founders is a social work prof @ UW. They donate hundreds of lbs of rice to Asian dominant food pantry's, healthy school lunches & summer meal packs to low income students, and snacks for hundreds of LGBTQ+ homeless youth. Knowing this makes the food taste even better!!

Just in for a quick lunch while in town. The locals obviously know about this hidden gem, but I didn't. Super friendly interactions with staff while I ordered. They offered a couple of suggestions and nailed them! Aloo tikki chaat was out of this world! The potato patties are handmade in house. The spice level was perfect on the chicken tikka roll. And last, the Chai is ACTUAL CHAI!! Delicious and quick option for lunch that makes you feel right at home. Even when you literally just got into town. Thank you 😊

A cute cozy Desi vibe in the middle of Seattle! Vibrant with North Indian decor, has a few limited seats to dine in! 🌱 Food is pretty decent, but I’d say that it’s a wee bit more for the portion they offer. I’m so glad they had so many vegetarian options on the menu! I tried the Aloo Tikki chat, Papdi Chat I’d recommend them to whoever wants to try the authentic flavors of Indian street food ! I loved it ❤️✨ However, the Mango Lassi was in this tiny glass that was probably around 200ml only . 🥹 I would definitely want more. The Chai (tea) was pretty good too, and they give a free Parle G biscuit with it too ❤️❤️❤️

One of the best Indian street food I have had in a while! We had the chicken roll, paneer roll and the fries - all were excellent. The staff is a bit cold and not very polite but other than that, it was amazing! The music selection is top notch as well.

Perfect place for a rainy Seattle evening! A glass of chai and some aloo tikki will lift your spirits. They have a limited menu but literally everything on their menu is delicious. Food is thoughtfully prepared, perfect spices, and served well. The place is also well decorated and has a nice ambience. Depending on when you visit the place finding parking can be tricky .

This place is good for evening snacks. Small portion of food. Simple and delicious. Ambience has some Indian touch. Cute little space for dine in. Ordered everything that was veg on the menu. Aloo tikki roll, Paneer burji roll, bhel puri, masala aloo fries, papdi chaat. Also had their masal chai and mango lassi. My personal favorite was aloo tikki roll- barbecued aloo gave smoky flavor. Masala aloo was a hit. Loved the flavor. It’s pretty affordable.

This is the worst Indian restaurant I have been to in my life. I ordered aloo tikki chaat, aloo tikki roll, and masala fries. The fries were so burned we couldn't even finish those. The two aloo tikki dishes were mediocre at best, they were very lacking in flavor. I am so so disappointed. I was craving good Indian food but nothing in this place was worth it. My shock at this horrible food compelled me to write my first review.

Delicious food, friendly vibes! The menu was thoughtfully curated, reasonably priced and there were loads of vegetarian options. We loved everything, but the bhel puri and rose cardamom soft serve were the highlight for me!

I was excited to try this place after looking up some places in Seattle to go for some food on our one night in town. We loved the affordable and delicious food we ordered. The service was very friendly and the place was clean. It wasn't that busy around 6pm on a Friday which surprised me, so we had no trouble sitting down to enjoy our food. Very reasonable prices for the quality of food offered. The soft serve cardamom ice cream was divine! I will make this a regular stop when visiting our friends in Seattle, very recommended if you enjoy simple but tasty Indian street food. Street parking available, but it's a popular area, so it could be a block or two away that you find a spot.

Extraordinary food. Probably the best Kathi rolls, very indian style. Surprisingly Chaat items were better than I expected ( you don't find chaat items in a kathi roll place) and even the ice cream was very unique. Food is cheap. Give a try to Masala chai. I even got additional togo items after lunch, for dinner. Highly recommended!!

The masala fries and paneer bhurji roll were good, but the papdi chaat really stood out! The papdi were light and crisp, the boiled potatoes were soft, and the toppings that came with it were delicious. There was a slightly sweet yogurt topping, a tamarind chutney, coriander chutney (not pictured), and some additional toppings (crisps, onion, coriander, pomegranate). Really love this spot for authentic Indian street food!

Excellent restaurant that serves Indian street food. They have a small dining area with a few tables and a couple of benches to sit down and eat if you want. The portions are relatively small but they are priced fairly since menu prices are low and they have some vegan options as well. I had the tasty vegan aloo tikki and it was excellent.

Refreshing change from the all the restaurants offering Indian food. The vibe and ambience is quite nice, and love that they have a small and interesting menu. Only thing I didn’t like was non availability of trays and plates. Makes eating wraps and other items pretty messy.

Spice Waala is top notch. This is a place the locals go. Flavors are amazing, prices are very reasonable, fries are hand cut. Staff is super friendly and can give good insight on what flavors you may like. Some of the best food in Seattle!

Small Menu but good food. Get multiple because the food portion is kind of small unless you're looking for a quick snack. Tasty and has a nice spicy kick to it. Only thing that surprised me was that the appetizers were cold but I guess that's how it's served normally. Would be interesting to see how it would be if served warm

Friendly (Capitol Hill) neighborhood hole in the wall eatery serving North Indian street fare. I liked the limited menu. Among starters we ordered the papdi chat twice, it was not authentic but distinctly tasty. Then we sampled one of each Kati Roll. The paneer bhurji roll was a let down, the chicken was alright and the lamb was the highlight - juicy, flavorful and the spices seemed on point. I picked up a “Himalayan snowman” lager and it was not bad at all. Overall shall we call it a light Indian dinner? That doesn’t happen often. Oh and don’t forget to add an egg to your Kati roll- “Calcutta style”
