I cannot even express how completely incapable this ER is of prioritizing their patients and their need to be seen. After over 3 hours in the waiting room my mother, a severe asthmatic, had yet to be seen by a doctor by the time we walked out “AMA.” Personally I feel like you need to be seen by a doctor in order to walk out against medical advice, but alas. Any other hospital prioritizes asthmatics. This one wouldn’t even treat her. If they had been busy I would have been more understanding. However they were not. When I asked if she would be seen by a doctor the woman at the front desk told me with an attitude “well she’s been seen by a nurse.” That’s great. However that was not what I asked. This is the same emergency room that left her sitting in a wheelchair, outside in the cold, unattended, after being diagnosed with pneumonia around this same time last year. Not only is this hospital completely incompetent when it comes to the care of their patients, they are also neglectful. Giving this hospital even one star is completely insulting to the sick patients waiting to be seen in the ER. Before I wrote this review I counted at least 3 other reviews stating that they also walked out. Do not let the grand exterior fool you, there is nothing nice to be found inside. Steer clear.

We brought our son to the emergency department here after a dirt bike wreck. The doctor had to consult a book to see what he should do (in front of us, reading word for word) but at least we were able to get x-rays. Insurance information was provided at the time of service but the person who took the cards didn't bother to put the information in. So fast forward to a $4000 bill. I contacted the hospital and provided the insurance cards again. A couple weeks later I received an explanation of benefits saying the claim was denied by an insurance we had probably 8 years ago. I contacted billing again who claims the claim was only sent to our active insurance and cannot explain why a severely outdated inactive insurance company received the claim. Their advice is to just wait awhile and see if the claim gets received by the active insurance. Then I receive a bill from the ER physicians group which of course is not paid because there is no insurance on file. I contacted the billing department AGAIN and am told that it is a separate entity and that they cannot assist with this. So I update the insurance info with the ER physicians group and am told that it's gonna take a bit because they need to send that information to the hospital first. I am about to lose my mind because the incompetent people in billing don't know what they're doing and I'm still sitting here with $4600 in bills and no way to know if they've been submitted to the correct insurance. I should have been an ER doc. Get paid a bunch of money to read a recipe out of a book and then go sit around and talk to the incompetent folks in the billing department. This hospital needs to make some procedural changes. What a joke.

They held me down Against my will. When I said no shots the guard attacked my arms with a grip. I am covered in bruises forced to give me a shot. I was manly distressed.(he said he was worried about my safety. I didn't think security people could give shots? I am losing my son. They kidnapped me to a bed that beeps when you move. Trapped for being in mental distress. Now you see why we need a real mental system.( Jail or 7 days in hospital and then released) No treatment. I think if all the doctors nurses took it upon themselves to pressure the admin it is terrible .BIDEN Finally have good nurses though. About time! Nice Electronics.

Financial advisors need a serious reality check. I don’t believe I’ve ever come across a human so rude. My husband is a veteran, we were trying to work the insurance out at the time but sadly, didn’t have to the chance to explain the situation. Absolutely no respect for others. Period.

Worst ER visit I had ever had in my life. I went in with a complaint of possibly miscarrying as well as gallbladder issues and the doctor told me that in the ER my miscarriage was not their concern. Not to mention the nurse that I have with beyond rude and inconsiderate she went over and got another nurse I honestly felt bullied. I will never go to this hospital for treatment in the ER. Hands down the women's center is amazing and the ER could definitely learn something from those nurses.

Everyone was very informative, our baby was 6 weeks early and the care in the NICU was amazing. Everyone always had a smile, and was always asking if Mama or baby needed anything. The room was kept clean, mama said the food was good and there is a secret freezer stocked with mini ice creams that our 6 year old took advantage of. The Woman's center was not too big so it was easy to get in and out to visit. Parking was full at times but there is a parking lot shuttle that goes around to help.

My son was transported here via EMT, and when we arrived, their triage staff, was very professional, as well as the physicians, and techs... Their processes in place were great!!! They took all his tests, prior to placing him in a room. So when we got to the room, the Dr came in right away with test results. That process cut out a long wait time. And I must mention the EMTs that transported him, station 19, I think..., from Bells Ferry / Hwy 92...we're awesome too!!! Great job and thanks to ALL who took part in my son's care!!!!! Thank God, he's okay!!!

Hands down the best experience I have ever had with a hospital I’ve had there. They beat all other hospitals in Georgia and Florida, I’ve had a lot of surgeries :-/. I had 3 surgeries at Cherokee this year alone and every experience has been wonderful! Their nurses and anesthesiologist team are the best! They are very detailed in what they do along with great bedside manner. I would like to say Courtney C. in ICU was the best nurse I have ever come across. She was so kind and passionate. I would not of been able to survive this last surgery without her. I cannot sing enough praises about her and the rest of my team there. The anesthesiologist team did not know about my rare disease and did tons of research to make sure the tubes were completely clean to make sure I did not have any cross contamination that would cause the malignant hypothermia to activate triggering my auto inflammatory disease. Best experience waking up from surgery. Good job Northside Cherokee! Well done!

Imagine going to emergency and being forgotten about for 2 hours. Imagine needing an x-ray on an injured foot and it being done with your sock on (almost boot too). Imagine sitting in a waiting room full of people with the flu and other viruses and not being offered a mask. Imagine finally seeing the doctor, he examines nothing, but leaves after saying it's not broken. In comes a nurse who does a shoddy ace wrap job over tour sock, then sends you on your way. What you may have imagined was my experience at Northside Hospital Cherokee, last week. I'm pretty sire that they had the audacity to charge the VA for my visit as well. Do better.

My brother-in-law has been at this hospital 3 weeks. He doesn't know anything after having several strokes and heart attacks. He had a feeding tube in his nose and accidentally pulled it out on Friday. His sister noticed today that it was still out. He hasn't had any nutrition in his body since Friday, 3 days later!!!

I asked today’s Team lead ER nurse at 7 am , my husband has been waiting in pain since 3 am in the morning, when can he see a doctor? Her answer was ; “there are others who have been here for more than 8 hours” So I asked, would you give the same answer to your dad or your son ? Or would you try to ask about the severity of the pain instead I understand that nurses can be overworked but try to see every patient as a possible family member . Show some compassion ❤️‍🩹.

I was here last night. The staff at the ER seems to have forgotten what they learned in nursing school - Prioritize your patients!! I had kidney stones and the nurses had me waiting for hours in the waiting room. I threw up and unable to walk yet they continued to make me wait for 3 hours while they admitted patients who had fevers. I need to add that while I requested a wheelchair, the moment I needed to go get blood drawn, they did not help me by taking me there or even telling the lab tech I needed to take my time. I was forced to walk there in pain and by the time I came back my wheelchair was given to someone else. I ended up leaving at 2:30 AM and went to Kennestone.

This summer I was admitted to the inpatient Cardiac and acute care United. From the time I was admitted into the ER and moved to the cardiac unit, I was treated with professionalism and loving care throughout my stay. It didn’t matter what department was treating me at the time I was treated with respect and much care. Northside management has done a great job in selecting people to work there. Thank you very much.

Unfortunately we had to take my 3 year old daughter to the ER tonight. Given how busy these ER nurses and staff were - they were amazing and I wish I could have personally thanked all of them (there wasn’t many, so I’m assuming they may have been short staffed tonight). They were great to us and my daughter. They were patient to those who showed no patience. The ER is by no means a fun place to be, but when the staff is at least nice and helpful, it at least makes the visit a little more tolerable.

I had been having difficulty with breathing issues (adult RSV) with multiple MD visits. I had to visit the ER for severe shortness of breath and they were very responsive. They took me right back for breathing treatments and lab work. Everyone was kind and explained everything well from the reception and admitting nurses to the respiratory therapist, lab lady, X-ray technician, ER nurse and the physician. The ER is so clean and it’s a well kept hospital. I was able to return home after getting breathing medication at the hospital pharmacy. The pharmacy staff is very nice and efficient.

Went to the ER, everyone was great but the doctor. Was seen by a physician's assistant and we agreed on a treatment plan only to have an arrogant doctor come in twenty minutes later and tell me that I just had reflux and he was discontinuing the agreed upon treatment plan. I've had reflux most of my life... This was not just reflux. He told me my labs were were normal but when I asked for the results, they weren't normal! He blew me off when I questioned him on that. I am a medical laboratory scientist. I know what the normal ranges are for labs! After he left, the nurse was a great advocate for me and got the previous treatment plan reinstated. Overall, I received good care. The nurses, phlebotomist, and PA were great. I am only giving 3 stars because of the doctor. I am concerned about patients that have no medical background or no advocate for their care. I was able speak up for myself but I have seen too many patients in my life that just believe what the doctor says and do not get the best care because they do not question even when they do not feel comfortable with their treatment plan. Also, the ER is an in network provider for Aetna, but not the physicians service. Watch your billing. I had to have Aetna work with them to get the bill paid.

I went to Northside Cherokee by ambulance on June 16th 2020 I was in severe pain all over my body but abdominal was the worst. I had a fever over 101 I was very lightheaded and dizzy when I arrived. They did basic blood work CBC and cmp along with a cat scan of my abdomen they also checked my urine as well. With the basic test they did the results came back to show my white blood count being very low, bilirubin was elevated for my liver and I still had pain along with the fever. They let me leave told me to follow up with primary dr they refused to do covid test and didn’t do anything else to check to see what was going on with me. The next day June 17th I woke up feeling worst fever was higher my body aches and chills were worst I could barely stand straight up so I went to kennestone hospital. From there I was admitted for one week. Kennestone emergency Dept did numerous labs along with blood cultures etc they informed me that I was very sick and they weee glad that I came to the hospital when I did. Northside Cherokee is a nice looking hospital but they did not do anything to try and diagnose what I had going on as well as letting me leave with my symptons my fever and blood count being so low. My d-dimer was at 1,000 which should’ve been at 100 white blood count had lowered to a 2.0 my lactic acid test showed I was very sick and my liever enzymes were very elevated. I had heard that northside Cherokee was good for sending people home while still being in bad condition and still sick I believe that now. They let me leave in horrible condition when I needed help and care.

I took my husband to the ER and later he was admitted. Every person, every nurse, every doctor was fantastic!!!! Super Kind, & caring! My husband had the BEST care more than I could have ever orchestrated! We were always being checked on and while I was in the hospital with him, they even kept asking if there was anything they could do for me - get me a blanket, something to drink or eat. A++ rating - Thank you all!!

I am sorry that 5 stars is as high as you can go. My wife on April 21st had back surgery, and had to spend the night. The nursing staff could not have been more hospitable, and that includes everyone that she came in contact with. When I see reviews that the nurses were not that nice, I assume they must have hid them in a closet while we were there. To top our experience off, 2 weeks after the operation she received a get well card signed by every nurse she came in contact with, and they each wrote a little note. Sometimes it is the attitude of the patient that is the problem, not that of the staff. Andy Mezzano

Wait time is ridiculous. Staff up front was rude and was really gonna let my mom almost pass out in the waiting room. She is CHRONICALLY ill. Not to mention, one time they let me sit in the waiting room over 10 hours gushing blood and in excruciating pain before they would even acknowledge me! Waiting room wasn’t even packed. I know they PROBABLY do the best they can with the staff they have, and it can get hectic- but there is a line between reasonable and unreasonable. And each visit has been unreasonable. They hardly even look at you once you’re back there. It’s sad. Since they moved hospitals, the quality of treatment of patients has gone down.

Went a couple weeks ago with my 4 month old. They had a wait which I didn't mind. But when they finally got me back didn't offer me a room, no blankets. I was just out in the open no privacy in which I also breastfeed so i had no privacy to feed my baby. Thats just wrong and rude. I don't see how it's ethical seeing a patient in the hallway in front of everyone.

0 Stars This review is for the behavioral health ward. Just as I have experienced with other facilities in Georgia: this place loves to hold patients hostage for insurance fraud. There was a patient who sadly seemed to be betrayed by her husband. He left her there and she was being verbally abused by the elderly black sitter with the big black necklace. The abuse took place because the patient was talkative and asked a lot of questions. They stated that she would be transferred to a facility. She left awake and within minutes I heard the ambulance bring her back. When she came back she was completely silenced due to them drugging her unconscious. I tried to check on her but we were not allowed to leave our rooms. Documents were falsified and I was also transferred to a facility due to staff attempting to make it seem as if I had psychotic issues. This post is to expose and warn against the drug abuse that is taking place in the health systems of USA. Many have been falsely committed and are being abused by the system for insurance fraud. The elderly patient sadly had insurance was held their because of it. I was billed because I had no insurance and now I can't even get financial department on the phone to rectify the billing.

I’m so grateful for this hospital and staff. My labor and delivery experience was amazing. I was very afraid of the rising delivery mortality rate on minority moms and I knew I had to make it to a Northside hospital for my little Brooklyn! I traveled from Gwinnett to this Unit and as expected, it was worth the travel! Healthy mommy, healthy baby, and comfy side couch bed for daddy. Love you all I can’t not express my gratitude enough!

I had hernia repair surgery yesterday at this facility and all of the staff were just wonderful. They were understanding and explained everything that was going on, which eased my anxiety about the surgery. The hospital itself was beautiful with a very calming vibe. Just a wonderful experience from all of the nurses, my doctor, and down to the lady who delivered me to the car in a wheelchair were so kind to me. This would be my first pick of hospitals if I needed another surgery!

On my way to an appt in the Breast Care office, I inadvertently ran over a can of black paint which had been left unattended in the driveway by a construction worker. The ladies in the office immediately contacted the appropriate personnel to follow up on the incident. By the time I was through at the office, my car had been located and the paint cleaned off my car. Although my day had gotten off to a rocky start, it ended well. My kudos go to the ladies in the Breast Care Center, the Property Management folks and the security guard who walked me to my car to make sure all was well. Thank you Northside for employing such competent and kind people.

Horrible...horrible hospital! My Doctor with GA Urology sent a biopsy to Northside Hospital for a pathology reading and I did not know about it. I received a call from Northside Hospital in Dec 2022 about paying a bill for the pathology report but NEVER received a statement/bill from Northside Hospital. The rep who called me said they would immediately send out a statement with info about what was done and the amount, but I NEVER received it. Next contact I had with them was from a debt collector. I then called Northside Hospital to request them to send me a bill or statement and request a discount because I am a cash paying customer. I do not have insurance. They then told me it is too late to get any discounts because I have been handed to a debt collector on a charge that I have never received. Keep in mind that I have never been to Northside Hospital and didn’t know my doctor sent anything over to them. I feel like I have been scammed. I received bills and/or statements from GA Urology and also WellStar Hospital and paid them promptly. What kind of hospital does this? Northside Hospital! It is ridiculous to reach out to me once and say you are going to send out a statement with totals and then don’t do it and then send me to a debt collector! I paid all my other bills on time and most of the time, at the time of service! Be forewarned…If you go to any Northside Hospital you will have issues with there billing department/service! Look and read the other reviews...a 3 star rating with (at the time) 561+ reviews! A 3 Star rating! Northside hospital has serious issues! If you can help it...don't go here! But, then again, I have never been here and they sent me to collections!

On 5/8/202 at around 10 pm. I went to the ER room in order to get some stitches on my hand. I was under the extremely bad care of Jennifer Graff (NP). When she came to see me. She DID NOT clean up my wound nor I was given any anesthesia. I was stitched up raw while I was screaming from pain. She only took two stitches on my hand. However, I told her I needed more stitches on my hand as the wound was deep & I could see the tissue inside my hand. I told her multiple times, but she refused to give me additional stitches. I was advised that if it got infected to come back for further assistance. Once I got home my hand started bleeding from the open wound that was not stitched up nor covered up after I left the ER. So I drove back to the hospital and I was seen by someone else. After I explained the situation I was told that the stitches that I needed were difficult to do, but they will take care of it this time. To my pleasant surprise the same Jennifer Graff came to see me and asked me if I wanted her to stitch me up raw and it would only take her a few mins to do it or if I want it anesthesia. I opted for anesthesia and she FINALLY stitched up my open wound and I headed home at around 2-3 am. Today I get a call to inform me there are issues with my insurance & the hospital is charging me for TWO visits to the ER when everything could and should have been done the first visit. HORRIBLE experience & bad practitioner. I hope she gets more training so she can do her job properly without hurting others in the process.

Please don't go to this ER. I am covid positive and so sick. Sky high D-dimer and positive pulmonary angiogram for classic covid pnuemonia. So weak I can hardly drive. No hydroxychloroquine, no breathing treatments, no IV fluids. Nothing. Go to Kennestone instead. Don't think that you will receive any treatment here.

The 3 star rating is true never again with Northside Cherokee or any ER for 911 emergency. I'm not even 26 yet and Northside will not stop calling me and I was never compensated by police or The GA Victims Comp Fund. Don't even want to talk about what happened but a criminal I didn't even know was a criminal SA me it was not my fault I already filed a police report but . I'm done with all inpatient facilities in GA especially Anchor I already left a 1 star review for them too. If this is how I'm treated as a hurt victim and treated by doctors, nurses, and staff no thanks. Try getting SA it doesn't feel good and never something I would wish on anyone goodbye. Can reach Roswell Police and maybe explain the situation but no because I haven't sent a final statement yet and had no help with the case. I'm not a police officer that is not my job to prevent or stop SA crimes.

This hospital does not care about their patients. My dad stays here often because he’s older with health issues, and he has just been released from the hospital from staying there with Covid and pneumonia and he’s a dialysis patient who just got done with his dialysis a little bit ago and they release him in 24 degree weather! My dad is 75 years old who can barely walk & now I have to figure out how to get him inside my house, up stairs etc. Thank you Cherokee Hospital for your concern for patients!

Would give a 0 if possible. Tried to give my insurance multiple times after a Car accident and they said they would file on the person at fault. Now they call from a restricted number out of the blue saying they are going to place a lien on my home. I HAVE INSURANCE! This place is a joke, very unorganized and from what I am hearing not the place to go if you have COVID. They also previously billed me multiple times for the same visit and would not quit harassing even though it had already been paid. You will be lucky to actually receive a paper bill. They only want to spam people on the phone.

Care received was ok, but the problem is the billing. The hospital contracts emergency room services to private practices and these practices are not in the same insurance networks as the hospital. NOBODY ever informs you of this, or that your EMERGENCY ROOM doctor isn't a hospital employee or out of your insurance network. Then you get a massive bill from the practice. Northside doesn't care because they've got their money. Shady business practices like this makes me wonder where else they're cutting corners.

I came to Northside Cherokee on Christmas Eve with the most severe pain I had ever experienced. I limped in to the reception and told the receptionist I couldn’t continue to stand on my own. They got me through registration, put me in a wheelchair and got me to a room within minutes. The nurses & doctors listened me to explain my symptoms and suspected I had a kidney stone. Within 30 minutes, they had my pain at a manageable level. They got me in for a CT scan and within 2 hrs, they confirmed I had a kidney stone. While the experience was miserable, I was very pleased by how attentive and empathetic all of the staff was. We were so glad we decided to go to Cherokee Northside.

Went to the ER Wednesday. Could not have had a better experience. The Nurses were great, the Doctor and PA were also great. The PA took time to call me at home that evening just to let me know that something showed up on my CT that had nothing to do with my visit but he thought I should know if I wanted to have it checked out. Above and beyond. Thank you

I spent over 2 weeks here. The nurses were absolutely fantastic. The Dr's were good. The 3 stars are due to my discharge. I was forced out by the insurance cure. I don't have health insurance, so any concern for my health etc.. stopped. Money and profit comes first, patient care depends on how much cash they can suck out of you. It's sad.

Sat on a hallway bed in the er for over 6 hours with a collapsed lung. Both drs i saw were so rude and dismissive to me but Dr Shaun was the absolute worst. They were going to send me home with a "pinched nerve" until we demanded some kind of tests and they finally did a chest xray. And guess what, I had a spontaneous pneumothorax with a collapsed lung. So I had been laying there in the hallway not being able to breathe for over 6 hours while every nurse and dr that passed told me to "calm down that I could actually breathe." They put in a chest tube and i layed there for over an hour and a half with no pain medicine after they put it in. The chest tube was in less that 24 hours, dislodged itself due to misplacement by the er Dr Shaun. They sent me home with no real expectations and said I could work again in 3 days. We got home and I passed out so we imediately went back to the er and they sent us back home and said I had a panic attack. Well 48 hours later we were at Kennestones er with another collapsed lung. Or should I say the same collapsed lung that wasn't ever treated properly. Moral of the story, Northside is great at delivering babies but if you are having a medical emergency go somewhere else. It was less than 20 minutes from walking in the doors of kennstone to already having a chest xray because they can recognize medical emergencies. Also the bill for Northside was absolutely INSANE compared to kennestone.

This review is strictly for my labor & delivery/post delivery experience. After experiencing an emergency c-section, the care I received was amazing. Special shout-out to nurse Addison and Natalia for turning my emergency situation into a positive experience. You guys are awesome. I will forever be grateful for your care and compassion.

Why are most of the negative ER & bIlling reviews, especially the ones where they are refusing medically needed service to people who owe them small amounts of money from previous visits? I read these a month or two ago when trying to decide which ER to go to, now wanted to share with a friend, and it seems the recent ones (within the last 6-12 mos) are gone?? How do they get to remove apparently honest, very similar reviews that warn the public of what’s going on?

Had an amazing nurse tech we have ever met at northside!! We are often unlucky and have horrible techs but he was an exception. He is a nurse tech training to be an RN which he will be an amazing RN. He currently works on the oncology department and does everything with a smile and a laugh. Took care of my great grandmother like she was part of his family:) Brian thank you for everything you are the BEST! If you have Brian you are in good hand.

I went to the ER last night for an appendicitis work up, and every single person I met last night was absolutely phenomenal. From checkin, to getting bloodwork done, to having an ultrasound, every single doctor, nurse, and tech that I met was wonderful.

No one likes to go to the ER at 3am, but if you have to it's really great that the staff is super caring and helpful. Everyone I interacted with was awesome, patient and seemed genuinely concerned with helping me.

I was admitted about a year ago for a Heart Cath. I cannot tell you how pleased I was with the care and attention that I received. From the time I entered the front door and was taken to admitting, to the time I left. I have to tell you that I am a Senior Citizen on Medicare and normally get subrate care from Hospitals (don't get me started on Kennestone, worst hospital ever), but this Hospital, from the Doctors, Nurses, and all other attendees were the most caring that I have experienced. My husband, unfortunately, has had many procedures at other Hospitals, and he could not believe the excellent care that I received. Thank you again to everyone at Northside Cherokee.

I have been here before where we were in and out no problem. Took 6 hours to do an Xray and a CT scan. No one came in to share ANY information with us throughout the process. Literally had to go in the hall to remind them we were there because we didn't see anyone for hours. Forgot to order the Xray. Wish hospitals worked like the rest of the service industry, where you tip based on service for them to earn an income, they'd act differently. And this is from someone with a 4 year nursing degree, BSN.

I'm incredibly conflicted over my recent unplanned visit to this emergency department. Most of the staff I encountered once finally treated were kind and compassionate, however as a whole my emergency was not taken seriously nor adequately managed from a medical perspective. I encourage management to reach out to me so that we can further discuss the room for improvement as well as to commend your staff because the failings I experienced were greatly outnumbered by those truly showing up as their best and most compassionate selves. I also encourage your providers to rely less on providing educational packets with OTC remedies, listening more to their patients with regards to their lived experiences, and remembering that obtaining an accurate medical history from informed patients with invisible disabilities is not the same as "Dr Google degrees".

I have nothing but good things to say about this hospital! Came in with a lot of pain they did ct scan immediately got me to the room and helped with the pain. Every single nurse, PA, doctor, etc. were so welcoming and actually cares about their patience they made me feel comfortable and at ease.

I came here very sick and nervous. The staff here are amazing and very sweet. My last night here I had an amazing Nurse. Thank you Bryce for your patience and teaching me how to do my meds. All of the nurses I have had a chance to meet have all been amazing. They have put me to ease with every issue I had.

I was here back in 2021 when I had my daughter 4 weeks early via emergency c-section. Had a wonderful experience, and even better NICU for my baby. Fast forward to last week, my mother had a compound femur fracture and was brought here for surgery. While I wish she had surgery earlier than 24 hours, she was taken care of and pain managed the entire stay. All staff, nurses, techs, doctors were on top of it and treated her so well. She felt safe and heard and all concerns were always addressed.

Dropped my mom off this morning in severe pain due to a fall, due to copd exacerbation... low oxygen sats. I told this to the nurse at the entrance. She got sent home with nothing. No broken bones so they just kicked her out without so much as calling me to ask ANY questions. 1 hour after arriving home she is confused, o2 sats in the high 70s to low 80s. Had to call 911 to get her to a real hospital. Don't take your family here if you love them.

The labor and delivery department here is fantastic, I would definitely recommend it as a great place to have a baby. Every single nurse and doctor was so kind and attentive. They made me feel very well taken care of. The rooms were very clean.

Was billed through self pay insurance for MRI even though instructed to send me the bill. $795 self pay. Due to their ignorance they billed self pay group instead and then proceeded to send me a bill for $7000. Went through long painful hours long processes to get them to "return money to insurer" After I paid them in full for my self pay amount. Done. Problem is they have failed to return money to insurer and I cannot get my reimbursement. Have now called 10+ times and cannot get them to respond.

The scenery out the windows here is beautiful . The care for ur elderly demented parent with acute fracture not so beautiful. Was told this hospital only does hips , not psych or dementia . Really .?? As a clinician myself hard to swallow . It was obvious my Mom was shoved out the door as quickly as she could be despite being told she was no longer safe in her home alone . So they quickly farmed her out to a roach infested , very stinky , very understaffed SNF for supposed rehab. She was not even checked on there and trying to ambulate solo to bathroom or left in very soiled DIAPER for hours . No social worker at hospital to address her/our needs. Even nurses calling me at night asking me what to do with her. They would not call the on call MD to ask for mild sedative . Very sad just because she is in her 70's with dementia symptoms - not addressed- and not treated like a younger patient with extra issues when presented to ER . HIPS ONLY , they do . Wow

I'm from NY and this is the nicest hospital I've ever been in. The staff, room, facilities everything was amazing. They treated me quickly and efficiently. Asked 100 times if I needed anything to be more comfortable. Everyone was kind from beginning to end and answered all my questions. Couldn't have asked for a better experience being a visitor in the area.

I highly do not recommend having a baby here. They do not care about your safety of you and your baby while in labor. I was supposed to have a password so not certain people to walk in. They still did and didn’t even ask. “I wasn’t supposed to be there if someone asked. They let people know and didn’t even care. Oh well sorry is one of the nurses said. Apparently safety isn’t important. How neglectful this hospital is and how dangerous this can be to someone. Also don’t forget they didn’t believe me that my epidural failed and felt everything. They asked me if I wanted lidocaine for my stitches and then said no and stitched me up without anything so I felt everything.

My mother has been in the waiting area for six hours before giving up and going to another hospital. Took my fiance for excessive bleeding and offered zero medical attention. Kept her there for observation but nothing was done and told to go home and seek a specialist, when we thought coming here was seeking out a specialist.

My sister arrived in the Northside Cherokee Hospital emergency department at 520 PM today presenting with severe, unremitting abdominal pain. At 745 PM, no medical screening examination as mandated by the Emergency Medical Treatment and Active Labor Act had been performed. I’ve been a doctor practicing emergency medicine for over twenty years in a neighboring state and I have never seen such abhorrent patient neglect during that time. This is not a mission-driven hospital. Seek diagnosis and treatment elsewhere.

Daniel, Emmy, Devanie, Alicia, Idelia phenomenal . Elliot, Abby and Arnesha were huge help , The PTs Stephanie and Heather were wonderful. Finally, the surgeon Dr. Brian Seng is the very best in the game.......Thanks Folks.

I had an amazing experience here. Nobody wants to be in the hospital, but this facility is so nice. Every single staff person was so so nice, and I cannot thank them enough for the care they provided. I went through a very difficult incident and I am very happy with the treatment provided by this hospital. Thank you all so so much for being great. Oh, and I had really nice views from my rooms! That’s not even a necessity, but I had great views from BOTH rooms I were in (you can see the pics). The rooms themselves were also really nice. They even gave me a little welcome kit!! Again, such a nice hospital and great staff. Thanks for everything!

I was in the cardiac section of the hospital and was very impressed. The nurses that took care of me ( Shannan and Ellen ) we’re truly the best I’ve seen. Their customer service was outstanding and Northside should be proud of them They went out of their way working as a team making my stay a very satisfying one. Thanks Vic Malucci

I just wanna say thank you to the amazing nurses and doctors who helped my daughter Alicia tonight. You made her experience getting stitches so great. You really showed so much care and how you talked with her through the stitches about her favorite shows and cake pops. It was amazing. So thank you. As a mom it was a really hard thing to watch her being in pain, but having you guys there helping her made it a bit easier. So thank you and also thanks to the officers too. You guys who when we exited called her a princess it made her smile so much. This hospital is really great.

Delivered my baby here in June and had a good experience. There were quite a few complications that didn’t seem normal, but the nursing staff made up for it. All the nurses I had were amazing! (Brittany, Anna, JoAnna, Haley, Caroline, Rachel) I will definitely come here for my next baby.

We just had a baby here and have been using their ob/gyn throughout the pregnancy. We paid off the total amount due within the first 2 months but surprise charges appear at every visit. Also every appointment we have made has been rescheduled at the last minute for reasons they refuse to explain. The doctors in the office aren't helpful and only go through the motions with you. Even while we stayed for the birth, we were treated like customers and not patients.

My mother was transported late at night to ER after an accidental fall during COVID-19. Though I was not able to go be with her, the ER main desk staff and medical doctor were kind and called to update me and kept her comfortable and peaceful through the night! Thank you!

I have had the distinct pleasure of two rare and hospitable trips to Northside Hospital. The first when my daughter had surgery on her thyroid several years ago and the second, taking a 91 year-old neighbor after an ambulance took his unresponsive wife of 70 years, in the middle of the night, to ER. Thinking this would be one of the worse occasions was completely turned on its head, by a Customer Support/ Patient Advocate angel, Ernesto! His care, concern, and attention to my neighbor’s delicate condition was outstanding! He spared him hours in the general waiting area by tracking his wife and putting them together until his son could arrive from out of town. To extend the benefit of the Family’s Waiting area, gave him a closeness befitting his plea, “ I am not ready to be separated from her, even though she says she is prepared.” This was the night of my 61st birthday, on December 27th, and the waiting area full beyond capacity. His wife has clung to him and is stable in ICU. He has not missed a minute with her. Thank you Ernesto! We left knowing he was in excellent hands! Thank you Northside for employing the right person in the right position! If this is the face of your front line in your new addition, we all can rest assured the best care can be found at Northside!!!

I came and had surgery on June 28th ,2023 on the second floor. I had two remarkable people that took great care of me on the midnight shift. To me they were concern about there patients! Jahnial Williams and Tiers Costello had great communication skills and they were here to help me every step of the way. They made me feel very comfortable and well taken care of. I greatly appreciate the services that they had provided for me during my stay. Thank you Fatima Perry

My grandmother had the worse experience there. The techs are very messy and talk about the patients and the family. Techs - Kaye and Kaitlyn. The lead nurse Nancy is condescending and nonchalant. One of the techs informed me that she doesn’t get care there and she goes to Kennesaw, now what is that to tell a patient’s family after expressing concerns? Do not ever leave your elderly family members there. They expressed to me that everyone on that floor near my grandmother needed to be treated like a baby yet they did not do it. Instead I overheard conversations that were not even work related. Just sitting in the hallway at a computer gossiping instead of giving the patients the best possible care. Totally disgusted with this location. Every time I asked a question no one knew the answer. To Northside Hospital, please stop hiring any and everybody. Please hire people with a heart and patience. Kailyn started off very well and then got caught up in drama. Start the job strong and finish it strong. Nurse Victoria is ok but doesn’t give nurse vibes. Very dry, no smiles, no TLC, no checking in. None of them represent the Northside Hospital that I know. I usually go to the other location but my grandmother was transported to this one unfortunately. My grandmother called me saying they were trying to kill her and they didn’t know what they were doing. Later I saw a tube in her nose pulling blood that they knew nothing of. Because they weren’t checking. The machine was also OFF and was suppose to be on. The tube was not incorrectly for over 24 hours and they left her like that. She asked to be transported to another location and Nancy made that very difficult and claimed they had the experience they needed to care for her yet, they failed her. A patient shouldn’t have to beg you to leave your facility. She is in her right mind, just in a lot of pain and all heard from them is “they don’t know why”

I had a major surgery at this new hospital Northside Cherokee aka Northside Hilton and everything was great! The room was nice and clean with a mountain view on the 8th floor. The staff was very friendly and helpful. I didn't have any complications or infections. I had little pain after surgery that was quickly remedied. They were very Covid cautious and I was provided everything I could possibly need. Lots of channels, fast response time, privacy, darkness. My one and only complaint would be the food wasn't very good, but I'm still glad I had my surgery there.

I am in room 3234. Been here since Thursday @5. The young girl at check in isn’t very friendly. But after her everyone I met through my visit has been so nice. My nurse Marissa was bright and so compassionate for the sick. She is young but very knowledgeable and went above and beyond her job! Made my stay very comfortable and enjoyable! Also Tyler tech was awesome and very knowledgeable, helpful and professional! Very clean hospital. And great rooms.

Hospital was paid almost $600 with a Flexible spending account debit card they were also paid 100% by our insurance. They show us with a credit but refuse to refund the second payment. Debit card is making us pay back instead of the hospital. This is theft! We have given them over $100K in business and promptly paid every single bill! How shameful is that? I plan to take it to a consumer advocate and het it in the media.
