I travel to Portland often and absolutely love my new positive energy local bar. I met Eli and Jay the new owners post covid and they are doing a great job of running a quality local joint and bringing back the locals and visitors. Loved this place, smiles on all the guests and the staff. I had a Free Street Burger tonight and it was perfect, medium rare, dripping with cheese, carmilized onions, and crisp bacon and a side of crisp fries . Very satisfying. The menu has all the pub stand by's of appetizers, salads ,sandwiches and entrees . Everything coming out of the kitchen looked tasty. I sampled a few of the local ipas recommended bythe helpful staff. An amazing selection of 28 local draughts Bissel Brothers, Lone Pine, Foundation , Banded Free Street Lager to name a few , something for everyone. They offer triva night which I missed last night but from a local at the bar tonight itis highly competitive, fun and rowdy. Try it out, a good sized place that can handle large parties. It is across the street from the Cross Insurance Arena . It is well worth a visit with a fun crowd tons of screens playing the all the national sports programs.

A taxidermy-themed pub that is as quirky as Portland, ME. They have a solid tap list, with some exclusives of the Portland brew scene. I hope that more people discover this gem in the near future.

Love this bar for its once a month Art Rave! Can't speak for the food or drinks but the atmosphere is wonderful, staff is always pleasant and the dance floors are always crowded with a great group of people!

We stopped in for dinner prior to a concert. We beat the dinner rush, which is a good thing. As you walk in, you're greeted with beautiful painted murals on the walls, creative and artistic to the max. Inside, you get a bit of a sports club vibe with a mix of outdoors and art. It's a good mix. The staff was so courteous and friendly, offering great suggestions and just being helpful. Sad, but you don't see that a lot anymore. The menu has something to offer for everyone, and certainly meets the definition of comfort food. They also offer vegetarian plates. We ordered some fried pickles to start. They were cooked to perfection, well breaded, not soggy and filled with oil, served with a chipotle mayo sauce for dipping. The only complaint is that they were a bit on the salty side. For our entrees, my wife ordered a fish and chips plate and I ordered chicken tenders, substituting fries for hush puppies. The fish and chips was cooked to perfection. Breading was nice and flaky/crispy, without being over crunchy, and the fish still being moist, yet not watery. The flavor profile was very good, with light seasoning, which didn't ruin the profile of the fish. The fries, were over seasoned with a garlic seasoned salt, which took away from the potato flavor, in a bad way. The chicken also, was cooked to perfection, tender with ample breading. The only complaint to this was the amount of seasoning, which gave the chicken a salty flavor which was almost overpowering. This also resonated in the hush puppies. They were cooked very well, with a dense inner texture. I was met with a very powerful onion/garlic flavor and seasoning, which made it so I could not finish them, even with sauce. Overall, the experience was good. I understand what is being attempted with the comfort food vibe, but in some dishes, the execution misses the mark. Powerful flavors can be enjoyable, but in this case, was just too much, and for that gave the food 3 out of 5 stars, and reduced the overall rating to 4 of 5 stars. We would love to visit again, hoping for a lighter hand with seasonings.

In their defense, it was an ‘off’ night, so there weren’t any servers. It took us awhile to track down a bartender to take our order. However, once he took the order everything came out quickly. Meatloaf sandwich and fries were great comfort food, but the birria tacos were very greasy. Beer selection was decent.

For the best selection of local art, you have to come here. Every event held here is new and interesting and I love dressing up to different themed nights. The black light floor downstairs is my absolute favorite, the lighting, the art installs, the live artists giving you a wonderful option of where to choose from as well as a show as they paint alongside the amazing musical acts featured here every month. There is a sense of community, not found in many places. The energy is electric and I can't wait to go back

Visited for a show, decided to give the smash burger a try with some additions. Hands-down one of the best smash burgers I've ever had, and certainly the best I've had in greater Portland. Fries were pretty great too. Color me impressed, would definitely eat here again.

Cozy and welcoming atmosphere. The house burger was incredible. They also have a great house beer and a kickass bartender. With two floors and a music venue! When you leave your seat move your feet and make it down to free street.

Came in with some freinds tonight to catch the Celtics game and I must say it was a great experience all around. We were greeted by a staff member when we walked in and she sat us at the dry bar. Place has more than enough TVs and the food and drinks were great. We mostly got beers (of which there was a great selection) but one of us got the Sugar Cookie and I got the Frostbite (highly recommended if you like tequila). We then got the dip trio and the smoked wings which were great. Most of us got the burger afterwards which everyone raved about however I got the meatloaf sandwich which was phenomenal aswell. Super chill spot and the staff was attentive and personable even though it was a busy Friday night. I'm definitely coming back!
